"Hybrid Heaven: They Could Have Done Better..."

Hybrid Heaven is an original RPG based fighting game that is somewhat stylish and interesting for a first try, but it wasn't nearly what I expected it to be...

Gameplay: 7
The gameplay and fun-factor is somewhat good but lacks a few points since you are basically doing the same thing over and over again until you beat the game. The RPG system and leveling up makes up for the repeats in the game... I give Gameplay 7/10, or ''Respectably Good'' rating.

Controls: 10
Make no mistake about it, the controls are very simple and the control layout is very presise, each button on the N64 controller is used for what one would expect it to be for... I give Controls 10/10, or ''Amazingly Perfect'' rating.

Story: 9
The story in this game is very good, the hybrids are taking over earth and a decoy was made for the main character, while the main character somehow gets away from his imprisonment and is forced to explore the hybrid base to get home... I give Story 9/10, or ''Simply Superb'' rating.

Graphics: 7
The graphics are very good, though they arent the best I've seen on the Nintendo 64. The graphics are clear, but I would'nt exactly call them crisp. Not to bad... I give Graphics 7/10, or ''Respectably Good'' rating.

Play Time: 9
This game is very long, and annoyingly long to some people. The length of time it took me to beat it the first time was about 70 hours of play, the second time about 40. So as one goes it gets much easier to play but still has quality play time... I give Play Time 9/10, or ''Simply Superb'' rating.

Music/Sound: 6
Not the best in the world when it comes to sound, the sound effects are pretty good but I personally cant stand the musical content. in some cases it sounds like music that would have worked just is good in the Super NES platform... I give Music/Sound 6/10, or ''Significantly Fair'' rating.

Challenge: 8
Considering some of it's downsides, this game is quite challenging. Yet annoyingly challenging because of it's play time. I would'nt say that the enemies are actually challenging, it's basically just challenging not to fall asleep while fighting a lousy enemy... I give Challenge 8/10, or ''Particularly Great'' rating.

Replay Value: 4
Once you've completed the game, one usually would put it up for a good long while since the battle system can be quite boring. One may want to come back through and defeat it in a better time and/or get all of the items in the game... I give Replay Value 4/10, or ''Very Poor'' rating.

Buy...? Rent...?
Six one way, half a dozen the other. If I was the gamer, i'd rent it first, then if the gamer likes it, definitely get it!!!

Overall Rating: 8
I give Hybrid Heaven 8/10, or ''Particularly Great'' rating.

Conclusion:
The developers could have done a little bit better with this game to make it less boring, but overall this game is good. Take a look, you'll probably like it if you are patient.
