"Everything is better than the first... except for the multiplayer..."

Quake II definitely improved in every single aspect from the first... except for the multiplayer. I'll get to that later.

Graphics - 9 and a half --> The graphics are simply stunning and spectacular. The framerate needs work, though.

SFX - 9 --> The only problem with the sound effects is the sounds that come from the enemies when they die. They sound like they have the flu.

Music - 10 --> The music the best I've heard in a N64 game.

Controls - 8 and a half --> The only thing I don't like about the controls is when you have to jump. You jump WAY too short. Make it like Turok or something.

Multiplayer Mode - 4 and a half --> The jumping sucks ass. The flag game sucks ass. And the worst part is, the levels are just too small. I like the multiplayer mode from the first Quake better.

Frustration - 10 --> This game seems easy at first, but later the game gets WAY too hard. I have no idea how me and my brother beat it. That's what stunned me.

Replayability - 9 --> This game is so interesting, you'll want to play again to find all the secrets in every level.

Overall Rating - 9 --> Like I said before, everything has improved in this sequel, but the multiplayer. If the multiplayer improved also, I would have given this game a 10.

Rent or Buy First - Rent --> The game's not perfect, so rent it one time and decide for yourself.
