"Talk about a bomb!"

-Intro-
The game isn't exactly like I thought it would be. At first, I was thinking, ''Whoa! Bomberman! Sounds sweet!'' Then, when I started playing I was like, ''What...? This isn't cool at all.'' Everything looked small, and your character moved pretty slow. This isn't what I was expecting! Once again, I waste money!

-Story-

An evil bomb guy, Altair is taking all the energy from the one and only, Planet Bomber. That's when Bomberman comes in, along with a white flying thing, that helps you... and fights you? But I'll talk about that later. I didn't understand the point of the story. An evil bomb takes energy from Bomb world? For what??

-Graphics-

I thought the explosions from the bombs would be cool-looking and realistic. Then, I thought, WHAT AM I THINKING!? It's HASBRO! The explosions look really stupid and fake. Your character is tiny and the rest of the characters in the game, look like the munchkins in the Wizard of Oz. They looked scary! The colors are nice enough and the texture is alright, but nothing that special. Where are the characters' mouths?? I didn't see any! How come I didn't see any! How do they talk? Beyond me...

I cringed at the sound. The music is boring and slow. The explosions don't sound good at all. Of course, in levels you have different sounding music. Playing a normal level, the music isn't upbeat and sounds a little like Zelda... during a boss, the music is a tad more exciting, but not that much. I only heard a little voice acting. Some from the bosses... and I think that's it. There is nothing special about anything in this department. But perhaps, things will get better as we go along.

Bomberman... more like Boringman!! I couldn't believe how stale and unimaginative this game was. Playing was like being grounded, and this was the only thing you could do. You can make about three little bombs at a time, and make a big bomb, if you pump it up. As I said, the explosions are stupid looking. If you blow up an enemy, they look like they're sucked into something. It sounds like a vacuum. The different levels and worlds you played in weren't very different from each other. You'd go into ice caves, volcanoes, stuff like that. But you did the same thing, again and again! You beat a level, then go on to a mini-boss, (which is extremely easy) then beat another level, then it's on to the boss. (Who was also a breeze to beat, by the way) As I mentioned earlier: a white flying thing accompanies you along some of the way. The first mini-boss is him. The level asks if he's a Friend or Foe?? Oh my god! The suspense was killing me, as I was playing that ''boss!'' Not really... actually, it bored me. He wasn't really useful throughout the game. He just talked to you about dumb things, and dropped off different types of bombs on boss levels. Also, this game has multiplayer. Whoop-dee-doo. That's just an add-in by the way, because I felt like it. It's exactly like the game, except you play it with your friends or the computer. Yeah... let's call up all our friends, get together, and we can play Bomberman for about five minutes!!

-Replay Value-

Beat the game. Once, you do that, put it away so you'll never see it again. I couldn't believe that I thought if I got to the end, some surprise ending would be there and it would shock me. No... it just ended. Oh well. At least, I got some fun out of it! ...Right?

RENT or BUY??
This game'll probably take you more than one or two days to beat. So, I'd rent it two times. That's what I did. Now, it's back at the video store where it belongs. I haven't seen it been checked out, recently... hmm, that's weird. I thought it'd be selling out by now!!! Yes, I'm trying to not laugh.

-I keep wasting money on dumb games
-Simple, yet unimaginative story
-Bland explosions
-Repetitiveness
-Characters are small and slow
-Slow and boring music (Good for funerals)
-Easy enemies and bosses
-Having an annoying little white flying thing always bothering you!
-Multiplayer
-Going through whole game and getting no real ending!
-Wasting valuable time
-Sadly, this game is my 15th review...
