Excitebike 64

"This is an underrated game!"

I waited and waited and waited and waited for this game. The release date was removed all the time. Almost a year after they first said the release should be came it out. Finally! I started Excitebike 64 and hoped that it should be as good as Excitebike for NES. I realized when I just played for 5 minutes that this game is the best racing game for Nintendo 64. I do not like racing games so much, but this is not a ordinary racing game. It is a really good game who has been underrated. One of my friends told me that I should never have bought it. Just a waste of money. But when he followed me and played it he realized that he was wrong. I do not know why this game have so bad reputation, because it is one of the best racing games for the system. Anyway...

Graphics: 9.5/10
Fantastic!! The graphics is almost perfect. Once I saw it I understood that this was a great game. My brother who only play PC games just stood there and said: -Not bad for a N64 game. In my opinion this game is one of the greatest games in the graphic-genre.

Sound: 9/10
This is good, really good. On almost every tracks you really feel that the music fits perfect with the game. Play it and you'll understand what I mean.

Control: 10/10
This is the part of the game I really like. Every turn and stunt is perfectly well made. You can use the analog stick or the control pad (which I prefer). It is really good controls and you feel that you can move your bike with out any problems.

Gameplay: 9/10
What shall I say?? When you race in the desert mode you can stunt and drive just like crazy and you can really feel when you fly and make stunts. It is really cool! The gameplay is as good as it can be.

You can get Excitebike 64 even with out beeing interested by racing game and if you like racing games you must get this game if you do not really have it. It is a hard- but good game. The extra special modes (soccer, hillclimb, original excitebike, 3d excitebike) are a really great moment. There is many levels to lock up and if you want to complete this game 100% you need to play several hours every day... Good luck!!!
