Gauntlet Legends

"Murphdog88's review of Gauntlet Legends...rent, buy, or trash?"

I've done a LOT of reviews on other web sites, but I thinks that this game is a really good game to buy. If you would like to rent before you buy it, go right on ahead. This game will work either way. But the game isn't the easiest thing to beat in the world. Also, just to note, if you play with 4 players, you should have an expansion pack, to keep the game speed up to normanl. Now let's get down to the stats...

Game Setup: 10!
First of all, you can start off by selecting 4 different charecters. They are the Warrior, Valkyre, Wizard, and the Archer. Later on in the game, you can obtain more characters, such as the minoture, the falchoness, the jackel, and Sumner, who is the guy in the center room. There is also one other person, but I can't find him/her.

Graphics: 10!
The graphics in this game are just astounding! I have no conplaints with them. I also like the graphics of the minoture. He is my favorite character in the game. The enemies in the game are done well, too. They look really cool.

Gameplay: 9
The game has a nice way of setting up the story and the ploy. It also has that voice that taunts you at the end of a level if you missed anything important, and obtaining a rune stone ticks him off. I don't think that the more players you have, the more enemies there are. I think that if you have more people with you that are playing, you will stand a MUCH better chance, but the game is really fun on one player just as well. Just make sure to have an expansion pack to keep game speed up with 4 players.

Sound: 9
This game has some nice and clear sound effects. It is very easy to understand and enemies don't keep on making the same annoying grunts and groans all the time. That is really a stroke of genius by the creators.

Replay-ability: 8
This game is fun all of the time...as long as you have others there to enjoy it with you. If you have no friends, that this game's replay-abitity could be a little lower, or maybe not...depending on you. Enemies are smart, and try to trick you differently all the time.

Overall rating...9 to 9.5

This game should win the multi-player game of the year...even over mario party, which I thought was really dull, but that was just me. I hope that this review will help you in your choice of rent, buy, or trash. Just make sure that whatever you do, DO NOT TRASH THIS GAME!
