Quake II

"Quake 2 on N64 not the pc version but revamped!"

Well im a big fan of the quake series being that I have all on PC and n64. this game is very fun and im glad they put it on the n64 now only if they ported it to GCN with online.. anyway's on with the review.

Story:10/10: All of your troops have been killed execpt for you. An alien race called the stroog is all that stands in your way for a fight for your life!. Eleminate all the stroog and stop them from taking over! go in to military installations and compounds completing tons of objectives! can you stay alive!?

Gameplay:10/10: The controls are great just like goldeneye. and you can jump to!! ^_^. you get a big selection of weapons to play with. Fight for your life in single player or duke it out with your friends in multiplayer!! which is great! choose from deathmatch,capture the flag, and team deathmatch! The game runs pretty smooth compared to the pc version you can tell about the weapon fire rate which is lowered down a bit but that's ok! great gameplay!!

Graphics:10/10:Nice graphics for N64 and with expansion pack get a little bit more crisper graphics and a higher resolution. It also adds a boost of speed. The graphics are nice! Some of the weapon colors are changed like the BFG which is now Green and was blue on the PC, And the Railgun on top which is blue and was red on the PC. All in all the graphics are great on Quake 2!!

Sound/Music:10/10: Great sound! from gun shot to death or jump or anything the sound comes out crystal clear here.. The music is kinda freaky not really any upbeat tunes but these tunes make you feel like your on a mission(which you are). Pretty good sound and music for quake 2.

Replay:10/10:Beat it on easy? no prob now beat it on all the other skills and try to live! and the multiplayer is great with friends it would be even better if it had bots like Duke Nukem 64. ah well it's a good game!

Challenge:10/10:Quake 2 is mad hard. with all these enemies piling left and right rockets whizzing past your head bullets going right past you. Its a fight for your life. Quake 2 will get frustrating after a while but that's what makes the challenge good! go for it see if you can do it!

Buy/rent: If your block buster or any store still has N64 games to rent, pick this one up. If you like it then BUY IT I recommend you buy this game! it rules! look for it at gamestop, funcoland, hastings or any store that sells used games! get Quake 2 NOW
