Ah, an already bad game that just keeps going down hill as time goes on -4

I really liked the Blues Brothers movie so why shouldn't I get the game? I got the game for about fifteen dollars at a local used game store. I played it as soon as I got home and I was disgusted with this game. I regretted that I bought it and set it aside while I played N64 games that were ten times better than this game. I picked it up again once a friend of mine wanted to play it. I saw the true value in this game and played it for a little bit longer. Now Compared to newer, faster, better, brighter games this is dull scrap of tin.

Story:
Elwood is in jail. They need to get the band back together. Mix this with a bunch of comedy and great car some crazy bad guys and you have got a good movie and maybe even a good game. But unfortunately the game doesn't have those things and lacks motivation to progress in this lifeless story.

Graphics:
Compared to games now a day this game should get a one or a two. But if you don’t care about graphics like me then it’s more like a six or so. The characters in the game are very blocky and lifeless. You can still tell them apart from others though. They’re not up to par with some of the N64’s better games and most certainly not close to the graphics of the game cube but I guess you would expect that. The colors and shading of every thing isn’t so good either.

Game play:
The first level of the game is a crazy mix of small mini games that allow you to progress through the jail and then finally outside. Some are pretty hard and this will prevent you from playing further in to the game. Once I got outside of the first level I had no idea what to do and got never bored so I gave up. Each level there are a bunch of things to collect. Cash, notes, instruments are some of these things. You’d have to spend a whole lot of time collecting all of them so that you can have every thing complete and never worry about this level again. It’s just too hard. It won’t keep you interested long enough to get past the first level. Not enough actions for today’s player. And even some players who like puzzles will be bored with the hard ones and bored with the easy ones. O and the control is pretty bad too. Game play- um…it’s 5/10

Music:
I’d expect good music from this game. If it had good music I’d use it like a CD instead of the game that it was meant to be. But there isn’t much music in here. I’d love to hear more in some kind of sound test but there is none. At least that I know of. The sound effects in this game have to some of the worst I’ve ever seen. Ever. The jump sounds will make you wish Elwood was a bare foot monkey just so he wouldn't make those annoying jump sounds. Music is a 5/10 here kids.

Other/ Funny Stuff:
I wish there were some funny jokes or some good cut scenes but I haven’t seen any. Not even one. Sure some of the characters are weird looking and half of them are meant to look that way but they still weren't funny. There’s a multiplayer mode. My friend beat me on about the 10th time we played it since he understood it before me.

OVER ALL:
This game will just get worse in time. The graphics are nothing compared to new things. You wont like this game if you’re into graphics. The music isn’t as good as some other games either. That too will just get worse with the time and new games. The older this game gets the more recommend that you not buy it.
