Armorines: Project S.W.A.R.M.

"Review 1 -- Armorines: Project Swarm"
The makers of many games, Acclaim, have decided to take a shot in making a First Person Shooter for the Nintendo 64. The game they made? Armorines: Project Swarm. Not such a good job at it, if you ask me. Bugs have invaded the planet Earth. If you are human and have some sence in you, which you should, you would know that you like to kill bugs. Well, guess what you have to do in this game? Kill bugs of course. Now, lets put your gaming face on and show the aliens that you won't go down with only one bullet. It is a video game after all.
Graphics:
The graphics in the game are nice and enjoyable. They may be a little dark sometimes though. The textures in the game are nicely made and the Expansion Pack makes it even better. In almost every game there are some flaws in the graphics. This game is one of them. A game that has recieved a flaw in the graphics. Sad I know. The thing that is the problem is the framerate. If alot is happening on your screen, everything becomes blocky and choppy. Make the game less fun if you ask me.
Graphics: 8/10
Sound/Music:
The sounds in this game were fair, but I expected much more. I was thinking of a large amount of bugs making their natural music. All I heard in this game was a horrible immitation of bugs. Usually, when you hear a bee buzzing by you, you would get scared right away. In here, it sounds like your old grandmother calling you.
Sound/Music: 7/10
Gameplay:
If you have ever played a well know game by the name of Turok, the controls will seem similar to you. You will know how to control everything right away. There is some problems in the gameplay, like there are problems in everything else. The turning and aiming in this game are horrible and extremely hard to do. Even though there is automatic aim in this game, it is still hard because there is always more than one bug on the screen. So you have to try to turn and kill the other bugs. So you are wasting alot of ammunition between bugs. The turning to get to other bugs is really slow.
Gameplay: 5/10
Replay Value:
This games replay value is extremely horrible. Once you beat the game for the first time, most likely you will never come back to playing it again.
Replay Value: 1/10
Overall: 6/10
This game is a good game, but it has its flaws. If you have played Turok, and liked it, you will enjoy this game. Though this isn't the best first person shooter I have played, it is still a well made game.
