Rampage World Tour
Review by YSF
"Rampage gets into the 64-bit system as well!!!"
Rampage gets into the 64-bit system as well. Rampage is a classic game in which, you take the role of one of the three monsters and devour humans, destroys cities. Three creatures take place in this carnage: George, a gorilla; Ralph, a giant wolf, and Lizzile, a gozilla-like monster.
The game places you in Peroia and divides the quest into 16 research facilities and of course, your main objective is to destroy your creator and bring about destruction to the entire world.
The game spreads over 140 levels, but most are endless repeated. You will destroy everything to your content. Armed with jumps, kicks, punches, secret moves like hovercrafts, cheeseheads, demolish buildings, swat down aircraft, evading armed police forces and military, stop flame-thrower toting soldiers, helicopters, tanks, eat people- it's the same old thing.
So, which version is better? PlayStation's or N64's? Honestly speaking, there isn't much difference between the PlayStation and N64 versions. There isn't much difference in the gameplay. Graphics-wise, the N64's characters have a smoother edges than the PlayStation version, however the graphics in both versions still look as if they are a 8-bit or 16-bit systems. On the other hand, the PlayStation version sounded slighly better than the N64 version as the PlayStation version uses stereo. Probably, the greatest feature that Nintendo 64 onwers can boast about is the fact that the N64 version supports up to three players, while the PlayStation version supports only up to two players.
Overall, Rampage World Tour still proves to be quite disappointing, especially for those who are expecting anything new and exciting from it.
