Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire

"It's an OK game.....for about 10 minutes"

When i bought this game i thought it was great! But then i didn't want to play it the next day, or the day after, or the day after. Once you finish the game(which takes about an hour) there's nothing to bring you back.

GRAPHICS: 7/10

The graphics aren't very good at all, not to mention the extremely bad fogging.... When you move through the levels it's like you're moving through a card board box with nice little pictures drawn on the sides. And unlike Goldeneye the enemies' deaths are always the same (with the exeption of an enemy falling of a cliff), which drastically reduces gameplay. And the cut-scenes....I won't even bother.

SOUND: 5/10

The music and sound effects are almost non-existent. The music is so pathetic you don't even notice the music while playing. The sound effects are below average, and there are no sound effects or talking during the cut-scenes.

CONTROL: 4/10

The control is pathetic. In the doom-type levels Dash has a larger turning circle than a bus! Once you're going in a direction it's very hard to stop or turn. When you jump it's as if you have a string tied to your back and someone is lifting you up. The optains screen is also a real killer. You have to tug and pull the control stick as hard as you can to scroll down and up, and often you choose the wrong thing. The control would have to be one of the worst on any game.

GAMEPLAY: 5/10

3 out of the 10 levels are kind of fun, the rest suck! Even on you're first try on some of the levels you sit and wait for the end to come so you don't have to play it anymore, EVER. The game itself is very, very, boring...zzzzzzz. The levels go for 20 minutes and it's the same thing ALL THE WAY THROUGH. The game gets very repetitive, very quickly. The only positive levels are the ones where you're in a space ship and you have to blow up enemy spacecraft. But even those are let down by crapy explosions.

OVERALL: 5/10

On the whole this game is a let down to the N64. Everything about this games is bad. If i were you i wouldn't buy it for 10 cents you found on the side of the road. But if you want a regretful night you can hire it out, but make sure you have some rope handy.
