I bought this title a while ago, back when I was a big basketball fan. I didn't think much of it than. I am now going to take some time in analyzing the game for you. And seeing that this game is old, look at it with vintage eyes....so without further adeu.

GRAPHICS:
While these are good, they are not the best. In fact all of the players come off looking like wiry little midgets. The crowd in the background again is nice but not great, it looks like they were painted on it.As a matter if facts EVERYTHING in the background seems to be painted on!From afar in this game it is hard to tell one player from the next.

SOUND:
This is the average part of the game. There is commentary in the background that you hear as you play. For awhile the commentary is petty funny, but soon it gets repetitive. The crowd, I think, is an important sound peice in ANY game. Here all you can hear are chants and cheers. They will once in awhile chant something like: Defense! Or Offense! Not much there but it is pleasing to hear them chant for you.

CONTROLS
The high point of the game, I think. The controls take almost no time to learn. Each button does a respected action, the convienience of the setup of the controls is just that! The A&B button do the main actions like Pass and shoot.

GAMEPLAY
This game brings you authentic basketball action, the only downside is wel...........the authenticity of it. The game is TOO NBA. Gamers will probably find a game that has less rules and more fun, so to speak. While the season mode and franchise modes are fun they do get repetitive. I think the best modes in this game are the Skills Modes. Dunking is the best. With Koby in dunk mode you can do all kind of cool looking dunks, the only problem wit this is that there are no rules so you can push them down, the bad is that they ALWAYS push you.

To Buy or Not To Buy
Well...If you are a fan of basketball sims and you love good graphics, than it is probably in your best interest to stick to the 2k series on dreamcast...though this game is not bad at all! Overall, it is a rent.
