Review by Dark Man Z

"Pokemon Stadium, was it worth the wait?"

When I first of Pokemon Stadium, I was so excited.
3D-Battles, wow, any Poke-Fan dream come true.
But after several delays and not many new appealing Poke-Products, my interest in Pokemon has slowly died out.
And now that Stadium is actually released in North America, is the Poke-Fan in me back again??

The Graphics: 8
The graphics are the stronger point of Pokemon Stadium, the Pokemons look great, great amount of details on each Pokemon. The horn on Rhydon actually spins!!! The Stadiums which you battle in are great as well, especially the Fire and Ice Stadiums.

The Gameplay: 6
Pokemon Stadium has strong gameplay, the battles are great, lots of Pokemons will provide hours of fun. But after those hours of fun, it starts to get boring. The same repetitive battles over and over again with no actual story to the game. The mini-games are made for either brainless lil-kids or loners with no life. These games are just a matter of pressing buttons(reminds me of the old NES). The game modes are just repeats of each other; with different opponents. Playing against a human opponent is fun as well, but that get boring too.

I gave Pokemon Stadium a overall score of 7 out of 10. The gameplay is okay, the graphics are good, but the replay value stinks! One week and you'll be sick of it! I recommend it as a rental, especially with the cost of N64 carts.

Pokemon Stadium was a big dissapointment for me. I expect so much more considering the time they took to release this game. If Stadium was released close to when Pokemon Yellow was released, it might've been better.
