"Even if you don't like wrestling, this game is still a must have"

Ok we can all admit now that the good ol days of wrestling are done and over. Of course those that are still brain-damaged enough will still say it's entertaining to watch, but nowadays anyone with an ounce of grey matter will agree with me. WCW/NWO Revenge was a game that was made back when wrestling was still cool, although WWF (now known as the stupid WWE) was always better than WCW. It is also one of the best games ever made for the Nintendo 64, and it is still the best wrestling game ever made for that time. I'm sure that the ones for the PS2 and such are way way better, but for its time WCW/NWO Revenge was king. What makes it so great is the basic controls and no holds barred gameplay, and what better way to celebrate these great things than with 3 other people? I'm telling you, this game is fun when you're playing single player, but it's way more entertaining with multiplayer. Anyhow, I will start on describing this game:

Graphics 8/10 - I gave this an 8 because the graphics do tend to get a bit glitchy at times and the audience just looks plain cheesy. But when you are executing moves or breaking an opponent's skull open with a weapon, everything is fluid and lifelike. The wrestler's faces are as realistic as they could have been for this type of game, but do I wish their heads would look a little less square...

Gameplay 10/10 - This is where Revenge truly shines, everything is just so darn fun and there are plenty of options to add to the quality of the gameplay. For example, you can choose your own costumes for the wrestler of your choice, and there are a lot to choose from. If you want to add a bit more ''realism'' you can turn that ''realism'' option on and if your opponent gets hit enough over the head, he will bleed. Some wrestlers have their own coaches, and you can attack them as well, and they will attack back at you. There are a couple of wrestling arenas to choose from as well. There's Super Brawl, Souled Out, Bash at the Beach, etc. Also there is a Championship mode, a Single Player mode, which includes Single Match and Tag Team Match. There is also a Rumble Royal where you alone or your friends can go at it, and so on and so on. As for the wrestlers themselves, there are plenty to choose from and a few secret ones as well. When you are wrestling you can pick up weapons at any time from the audience stands, and a couple actually have weapons right from the beginning. You can choose your own wrestling options, such as submssions, rope breaks, interferences, etc. As you can tell, the gameplay for this game is superb

Sound and Music 9/10 - The sound is fairly generic, and there is a couple of cheesy music tunes here and there. Unfortunately, none of the wrestlers have their own intro music, there are only two tunes for the introductions, that's it.

Control 10/10 - The control is great for this game, it's not hard at all to pull off special moves or jump from the turnbuckles and jump on top of your opponent. It will not take long at all for you and your friends to get the hang of it cause the controls are really easy.

Replayability 10/10 - You will not get enough of this game after playing it, and especially after playing it with others. There are secret characters to unlock also, and they can be unlocked within the Championship mode. Only one secret character requires the Gameshark, but that's all. All the other ones can be unlocked from within the game.

In short, with a couple of minor flaws here and there, WCW/NWO Revenge is a great game for beer nights and such, when your friends and yourself are getting drunk and just want a great multiplayer game to fool around with, this game is one of the best choices alongside Goldeneye and Perfect Dark. Buy it, NOW!!!
