Pokemon Stadium
Review by Bonkers
"3D POKEMON FIGHTING! Oh my gosh......"
I have been a big fan of Pokemon and I am very happy they made Pokemon Stadium. Now I don't have to play my Game Boy and watch the old 2D battles of Pokemon because Pokemon Stadium has 3D fighting of all Pokemon.
In Pokemon Stadium, you can choose up to 151 Pokemon (including Mew) and it is a turn-based fighting system where you select which Pokemon to use in the fight and which techniques it should use. All in specky 3D! The moves literally light up the whole stadium with dazzles of colour and it just looks absolutely brilliant. You can choose from a few Pokemon on the game pak, but the fun really begins if you have the version of Pokemon for the Game Boy. (Red or Blue) You can actually load your well-trained Pokemon off a special adaptor called the GB64 Pak that connects to the controller and it will retain all the details of your Pokemon on to the cart and watch it fight in 3D. Awesome! I loaded my Charizard and its Fire Spin technique wiped out all the people who challenged me in one shot! Hope you have one when you get the game.
Unfortunately, there is not much else you can do when you have no friends over. You can fight the computer controlled Pokemon but that wears thin fairly quickly. Hope you have friends.
GRAPHICS: 10 out of 10
This game sets the Nintendo's hardware to the limits. Everything looks beautiful. Just the way a game should be!
SOUND: 5 out of 10
The sound is very nice but can really get at you doing the same move over and over again.
GAMEPLAY: 7 out of 10
You can do lots with your Pokemon but just watching your Pokemon fight each other doesn't really boost up the gameplay more.
LASTABILITY: 9 out of 10
The multiplayer in this game is fantastic. Apart from Worms: Armageddon and the upcoming Perfect Dark, this game is my favourite multiplayer game I have played since Goldeneye. Buy it if oyu have plenty of friends who have Game Boy Pokemon games.
OVERALL: 8 out of 10
This game is one of the most graphical games this year. Multiplaying at its best.
