"Supercrap"
In 1999, I was happy to get superman 64. I thought is was one of the best games of all times. I thought it would have the best graphics, controls, and gameplay. So I came home, only to end up playing possibly one of the worst games of all time. It was filled with glitches galore. I wish I never bought this game. An anticipated game going very bad.
Graphics
Something must had went wrong in the development in this game. I mean, take a look at the game's horrific graphics. The cars look like cardboard drawings of a car, and the buildings look like blocks stacked on top of each other, sometimes with a plastic looking radio antenna on top. Superman himself looks like a paper cut out drawing by somebody that doesn't have drawing skills. And Titus actually thought this was good? And there's fog in the game. A never ending fog in this game. What's up with that? Lex Luthor made a device in the virtual Metropolis that makes fog? Come on!
Final Score:-100/10
Storyline
Lex Luthor and Brainiac kidnapps your friends and puts them into a virtual world of Metropolis. I guess Lex and Brainiac was still working on it, and decided to rush it all and put your friends in the virtual world at all. No, forget that, they probably put them in a virtual Metroplis were it blinds players with it's horrible textures! But oh well, the storyline sucks. Besides, it's not much of a story.
Final Score:-10/10
Gameplay
Oh well, he goes.
What you basically do is Fly through rings. Yes, readers, you have not heard wrong. You Fly through ring to get to dumb people. As an example, the first level's objective is to fly through rings and save stupid people. When I mean stupid, I mean stupid. After flying through those dumbass rings, I had to save people from cars. They keep walking, knowing a car is going to turn them into roadkill, acts like there in Big Rigs and the car's going to go right through them. Then you have a police car that lets people shoot at them. Last, you have tornadoes that are going to kill people, but the people just stand there, like they have a death wish. Now that's just stupid. Superman has X-ray vision, letting to see through anything. But the game only lets you see through certain things, which sucks. Oh, I forgot all about the rings! In the series, I never saw Superman fly through rings. Why now must he fly through these atrocious things? Oh yeah, missing one ring can result in frustration to go back through the stupid thing. It is plagued with glitches, like game slowdown, you getting stuck in a car or a building, and sinking through the ground. Yep, that's Titus's idea of gameplay in a game, and it sure isn't good.
Final Score:Negative infinity/10
Controls
Extremely hard to master, It took me a half a month to. I mean, when you have a game where you fly through rings, these are not the controls your looking for. It takes a heck of a time to get used to these controls. They are so bad and unresponsive that it the controls played better with out the controller. All you have to do is act like you are Superman, it this game would be much, much more easier.
Final Score:-70/10
Sound
The looping songs in this game are so bad, you're turn the sound off. The songs in this game are possibly the worst game songs in gaming history. I mean, what the hell is this crap? Sounds more like 100,000,000,000,000,000,000 broken records to me.I guess Titus listens to the world's most crappiest music of all time, thought it was cool for people to listen to, and put it in this game. My dog can doe better than that.
Final Score:-100,000,000,000,000,000,000/10
