"I had very low expectations for this game and I was still disapointed."
I was in Blockbuster one time and there was nothing to rent, so I rented Superman to see if it was as bad as I heard. It wasn't as bad as I heard, it was worse. Keep in mind that when I wrote the following review, I had only played the game for about 2 hours.
Graphics: These are some of the worst graphics I have ever seen in a video game, after the first five minutes I had to look and make sure this wasn't my SNES. Every wall, ceiling, and floor texture in this game are almost completely plain. And even if the game had good texture, it would be too foggy to see anything anyway. You'd think that a game with such bad graphics would run very smoothly. You thought wrong, the games framerate is ten times worse than Turok 2's. Am I sure this isn't my SNES? 2/10
Sound: The voice samples in the game are actually well done, too bad there's only one. The sound FX in the game are below average because they sound distorted and muffled. The music in the game is unmemorable and doesn't make you feel like you're in the Superman universe. I still refuse to believe this is my N64. 4/10
Game Design: Basically, you fly through some rings for some reason and then they give you a mission objective. Flying through the rings is almost impossible because there's so many, you're only aloud to miss a few, and the control is terrible. The mission objectives are not well thought out and dont make sense(stopping a car crash by picking up and throwing a car, stopping tornadoes using ice breath.). 3/10
Multiplayer: You are in a flying thing and you have to destroy your opponent. Does anyone know what that has to do with Superman? Me neither. 5/10
Overall: Superman is the worst game for the console period. Don't buy it, don't rent it, don't even look at it. 2/10
