"THPS64: It Burns, It Burns!"

Okay, I knew from the get-go that this game would lose a lot on the N64, but I didn't think it would lose this much! I mean, this is plain ridiculous! Before I go on, I mst say this: If at all possible, get the PSX version before you even think abou this one! Now, on with the complaining:

Graphics: 7/10

''Smoother on the N64?'' Yeah, right. more like exactly the same as the PSX only fuzzier. It detracts from the gameplay and makes ruins your concentration on things like landing and such. Nothing much else to say, really.

Sound: 5/10

Okay, I LOVE punk rock, but this I cannot stand. The sound quality has gone way downhill. It even begins to make me hate my favorite bands such as Primus and the Suicide Machines. Unforgivable! Even such simple sounds and rolling wheels and grinding rails have lost something on their way over to cartridge-ville.

Gameplay: 2/10

Okay, what do you get when you add a system that turned the WWF entrance videos from Wrestlemania 2000 turn into grated cheese and the wonderful cinematics of THPS on PSX? Trick Tips of course! Yes, for beating the game with your favorite skater with all gold medals, you are not awarded an awesome video of your favorite skater, but a trick tip. Wow. Control? I wish not to dwell on it, but the use of C buttons, bad idea.

Overall Fun Factor: 3/10

Pick it up if you don't like skating and haven't played the PSX version, give it a rent. You will probably be dissapointed. As a skateboarder myself, I am truly offended.
