Rampage 2: Universal Tour
Review by Jaksiel
"Why? Why? Why?"
I was in Blockbuster one day with my brother and we were going to rent a game. I'm almost always the one who chooses since I'm the more well-informed one (in other words, the who reads video game reviews from magazines and web sites) and I couldn't decide. So anyway, my brother says ''Can we rent this?'' holding up a copy of Rampage 2. I decide to be nice to kid for a change and say yes, even though I knew the game got horrible reviews. Then we went home and played it. I admit, it was fun...for the first 5 minutes, that is. Arggh.
Graphics: 3/10
Very cartoony in nature, these graphics are nothing special. They get the job done, and that's it. You'd think with graphics like this, maybe, just MAYBE the gameplay would be better. But we'll get to that after...
Sound: 1/10
The sound in this game is so horrible, I don't even know how to describe it. All I know is that I just turned it off after the aforementioned 5 minutes.
Story: 1/10
Ummm....right. The original 3 Rampage monsters were captured, but somehow 3 other monsters are magically created and try to go off and rescue them. Whatever.
Gameplay: 1/10
ATGFHJEDNBFKJBVIHEWHGTFJLHKJTRKJWUJKLGBJSHFOAIOEHGLIR!
The one good thing about the gameplay? The controls are easy to master. Other than that, crap. Jump on a building, destroy it, eat person, grab powerup, kill tank, repeat ad nauseum. This cannot, for one moment, be considered fun. It's more like a borefest. I wonder if anyone has actually gone to sleep while playing this, because I would understand.
Replay: 1/10
There isn't really any replay, because if you buy it, you'll be returning it to the store right away, and if you rent it...you'll be returning it right away and possibly demanding your money back.
Multiplayer: 2/10
The part of this game that is fun for 5 minutes is destruction with another human. But it only lasts until you both get bored and decide to play something more exciting.
Challenge: 1/10
Challenge? If anyone has trouble beating this game, then they should stick to Tetris. At least while playing Tetris they'll probably have FUN.
Overall: 1/10
I can't recommend buying this game, I can't recommend renting it, I can't even recommend CONSIDERING renting. Avoid this game like the plague.
