"Only a more graphic version of NBA Jam on SNES"

Gameplay 6/10: NBA Hang Time is one fun game to play because the players are all hyper, you can beat up guys to get the ball, and do some crazy dunks. But the only problem about the gameplay is the players are so hard to control! You need to play the game for a couple hours before you can get the hang of it! I think that's the only problem with gameplay. Many people will enjoy the crazy dunks and pushing the players to steal the ball. It is really fun, you can make lots of 3-Pointers!

Graphics 6/10: The graphics are just average. The players don't look too realistic like those in NBA Live games. The players have a shiny look to their heads. The court is small, and the basketball fans in the crowds look fairly ok. They aren't blocks of color, but they look too fake. Some of the basketball player's faces look real, recognizable, but some of them you can't even tell who it is. But still, you may recognize them from their attire or hair style. I think the graphics are only an improved version of NBA Jam on SNES.

Sound and Audio 2/10: I was playing the game and when I shot some baskets, it made some weird and annoying sounds. The commentator also makes lame remarks. The crowd's chants seem like static and you'll be able to say its fake. Unlike other basketball games, NBA Hang Time's sounds are poor, many other basketball games have more realistic chants to motivate you. Sometimes, the commentator mistakens a made basket for a terrible shot.

Overall 4/10: Huh? This game isn't even average. Don't even bother to buy an unopened box of NBA Hang Time. You should just buy a used version of NBA Hang Time at your local Video Game retailer. My friend got this game used for $6.00. But the gameplay can be really fun, you may enjoy the hyperness and street rules. But this game will never become a classic basketball game.
