"One of the best unknowns of its day."

Introduction - Really quite a fun Fighter game for a system whose only notable one is Rouge Squadron. This game is quite fun, especially is you've got a friend to go head to head with. Good graphics for its time, a limited but nice selection of planes. Defiantly worth picking up.

.
Game play - Better than Rouge Squadron, especially if your not a star wars fan. It has multi-play versus. Some of the levels can be pretty difficult. Each level in the game has 1 boss you must defeat. If you do you automatically win. But to enjoy the game most, you have to learn how to dogfight. The enemy pilots are good and they know it. The AI is brilliant, using up its defensive chaffs as is they were infinite. But they still give you a run. The levels are not huge but they give you enough room to have some fun. Overall this game is really fun. It even has 2 extra un-lockable characters.
Game play 9.75/10

Story - it actually has a simple story, you are part of a group of elite pilots trying to stop a evil organization from destroying all humans. These guys are mean too, from melting Ice caps to generally causing problems they wont hold back.
Story:7/10(should not really effect your decision on the game).

Graphics/Sound - The graphics are nicely done, well modeled vehicles and buildings. Planes are better rendered than most on the system, the water and some of the buildings are slightly choppy, but nothing that hurts it greatly. The sound is wonderful, from a well balanced set of tracks, to the Character voice-overs, which do get slightly repetitive after a while, to the well done weapon effects. This game really does a great job with what it has.
Graphics:9/10
Sound:10/10

Play Time/Replay ability - You can probably beat the main game in one or 2 sittings. The extras and multi-player are what will draw you back. I mean what's better than dog fighting your best friend at 1500 meters going 1200mph? Beating him of course. You can also fight any boss you've faced in the main game or do a dogfight survival against one of each of the enemy planes. Great for years blowing things from the sky really should be a National Pastime.
Play Time/Replay ability :10/10

Final Recommendation - Rent it, love it buy it. Nothing is better than coming home after a hard day and blowing a f-22 out of the sky. Especially when you can follow it down and watch it explode. Worth playing till the end of time.
10/10
