Jeremy McGrath Supercross 2000
Review by FFlechas
"This is one heck of a racing game!"
Ever since I've played Beetle Adventure Racing, I have not found a racing game anywhere near as good... until I found Jeremy McGrath Supercross 2000. I rented this game one April night, and when I had to return it, I wanted to keep it. That's right, folks, JMS2K is one hell of a game, and you will not regret it if you rent it (or buy it for that matter).
Graphics - 10 -- I don't own an expansion pak, but even without it, this game is smooth. I did not notice not even one polygonal error in the game.
Gameplay - 10 -- The controls are easy to master. It'll become second nature (sort of). Plus, one great feature about this game is that you can actually do stunts. There is even a mode where you can do these stunts and get points on it. Make sure you get a lot of air, though. Wait! There's more! You can create your own custom track and your own custom rider! See if your rider can tough it out with the best of the best. Oh yeah, and there are a wide variety of tracks to choose from. Half of them are indoors, while the other half of the tracks are outdoors.
SFX/Music - 10 -- The engines of the bikes sound _very_ realistic. There is also an announcer directing the races. If you do stunts, sometimes the announcer will say the name of the stunt. It feels like a real race. The rock music is also cool.
Lasting Appeal - 10 -- The races are terrific. You'll want to do it all over again! Really!
Overall - 10 -- If I could, I'd give this game an 11, it's that good.
Buy or Rent First - rent -- This game is a bit short, so you may want to rent it first.
