"Wake up, everybody! It's World War 3!"

Command and Conquer was a strategy game for the PC. In fact, it became so popular, that it eventually went to the N64. Personally, I thought I was going to get bored with it, being a strategy game and all, but I found it awfully addictive. And now for the scores:

Graphics: 8 The graphics were pretty good. The backgrounds were obviously detailed and so were the vechiles and buildings. In fact, everything but the soldiers, bombs, bullets, blood and grenades (They're this close to 8-bit as we speak!) were detailed.

Sound: 8 The first few tracks are catchy, while the others have the potential to make you hold up a ''Wake me up when you're finished'' sign. The sound effects weren't bad either, such as the *Squish* sound when a tank runs over and enemy, and the weapons firing. A few turnoffs were the explosions, no, the big ones with the glass breaking sound great, it's the small explosions. They should sound a little higher than that. Oh, and the soldiers screaming as the get killed. That gets annoying after a bit.

Plus, the are voice samples in the game, my favorite being the commando's. *Shouts ''I've got a present for ya!''*

Gameplay: 9 It's mostly ''Build your base and pray something doesn't happen to it while you take over your enemies'' kind of game, although there are a few more missions where you can just run right into enemy territory and take (Or kill) what you need (Or what you need to kill). Sadly, a few drawbacks were that it's a little hard to have a strong army defend your base and have another army infiltrate your enemy's, also, it does get boring after a while. You'll probably say, ''*Yawn* What do I do next?''

Plus, the stages require great strategy, especially the commando stages. You'll have to look around your enviroment and see what's going on between you and your adversaries. Oh, and you'll have to be alert, too.

Replay Value: Varies That depends on whether you find it addictive of boring. Your pick.

Rent or Buy: Maybe you should rent it first. Games don't get catchy right away, you know.

Overall: 9 If you're looking for a game to take up your free time, this might be it.
