"Nintendo at its peak!"

When ever a game console is starting to die out, a game comes along that pushes the console to its limit. Conker's Bad Fur Day is one of the best examples of this game style. It is the best game ever made for the dying Nintendo 64. The unique, less family-friendly characters, the stunning graphics, and sweet multiplayer make Conker's Bad Fur Day, quite possibly, the best game ever created. Careful parents should be cautious about buying this game though, since it is rated M for Mature for its violence, language and its sexually explicit content. There are several reasons to buy Conker's Bad Fur Day, nonetheless

Gameplay (9.5/10)
The gameplay for Conker's Bad Fur Day is superior to any other N64 game. You will go through several different chapters, which are further divided, into smaller sub-chapters that are really funny and amusing to go through. As you complete the game the sub-chapters become available in 'Chapters' at the main menu, incase you choose to play a certain part again, maybe to try to beat it a different way, and not have to play the entire game over again, for example. There are various unique buttons called 'context sensitive,' where if you find one, press B, and you can do various things from firing slingshots to insane matrix-type stuff. It is very simple and easy to ‘learn the ropes' and to play this game. The multiplayer is even better with several different scenarios, most of them involving two opposing teams. There are seven options, such as Beach, Heist, War or even a free-for-all Death match. You can even change team match-ups, time, lives, and more. I can say Conker's Bad Fur Day has, by far, one of the best multiplayers in the entire gaming industry. CBFD is definitely worth a few hours of your time.

Story (10/10)
Simply, one of the best storylines in video games is right here. It starts at a bar, where Conker and his friends are drinking heavily since this might be the last time he gets to see them, because they are off to fight a war tomorrow. A few hours later, he is extremely drunk and decides to go home, but on the way, he gets lost since he forgets where he has to go, because he is so drunk. Meanwhile, in a castle, owned by an evil panther king, he gets infuriated after his milk spills. Conker wakes up in a forest, completely hungover and finally realizes that he is lost, He must try to find his way home, but on the way, there are many funny, idiotic, foul-mouthed, and just plain mindless people throughout this entire game that ask for his help because they can not seem to be able to do it themselves. It is the greatest storyline for the Nintendo 64, as opposed to the more ‘good guys vs. bad guys' storylines. It is funny with a whole bunch of movie parodies to go around. The storyline just makes it that much more amusing.

Graphics (10/10)
The best graphics that I have ever seen in any N64 game. The character models and the 3D worlds are so much more precise that you might actually feels like you are in that world at that moment. The shadows show up more realistically against lights, candles, etc. In addition, the way a head pops off when you shoot it off is spectacular. There is not much more to say about the graphics of this game, but with all these unchallengable enhancements, Conker's Bad Fur Day is sure to drop a few jaws, here and there.

Sound (8.5/10)
There is not really anything special about the music, since in blends in with the game almost completely. The sounds, however, were phenomenal and accurate. The realistic sound of guns firing away, blood splatter tinkling, and even the right sound are made for running on certain floors. For example, if the floor is made of metal, it makes a metallic sound when you walk or run on it. The character dialogue is very silly, and sometimes downright ridiculous and hilarious and the same time, and can keep you entertained for hours before turning your system off.

Play Time (6/10)
This is the only aspect of the Conker's Bad Fur Day that kind of falls downhill, so to speak. For the average first-timer to this game, it takes a total of about 7 hours of game time to complete the game once, or about 3 days actual time. It is great that CBFD is more straight forward than most games, and does not make you collect that many things, but for a great game like this one, could it not have added at least one more chapter?

Replay Value (9.5/10)
Even though it does not take a whole lot of time to complete, the humor and stupidity of all these troubled characters will make you want to play in again, and again, until you just get sick of it. Then, once you do get sick of the one player mode, you can have double the fun in the multiplayer, in case you feel like popping a few more heads open. Conker's Bad Fur Day will surely keep your glued to your seat for hours at a time.

Overall (9/10)
Conker's Bad Fur Day is overall, one of the best video games I have ever played. Although it may seem to lack in playtime, music and a few other minor things, its stunning graphics, amazingly accurate sounds, superior gameplay, and unbelievably astounding replay value make CBFD truly the best game for the Nintendo 64 game console, and totally worth a shot.

Conker's Bad Fur Day is a recommended purchase, in my opinion. Without a doubt, it is the most fun I have had for a while. It is one of the best games of all time and deserves a try. Unless you tend to prefer much longer gameplay, or if you do not want your kids playing violent games, which gives it its Mature rating, Conker's Bad Fur Day is truthfully a great game that is worth a shot.
