NFL Blitz

"Best blitz out of ALL of them"

NFL Blitz is the most fast paced football game out there. IMO it is the best arcade game as well. This game is not for fans looking for a realistic game like madden or the 2k series.

Gameplay- Gameplay is excellent. It is for hard hitting football fans who don't like those real like tackles. You can body slam your opponent on the ground when you tackle them, choke slam them onto the ground and pile drive them! Pound on them when they are already on the ground to make the pain even worse!

Story- No story mode. Only season and that gets a little boring after a while. Just stick to exhibition games.

Sound- Sound is really good. When you tackle someone you can hear them scream like they've been shot. Hear the quarterback say HUT. The game has menu music and its pretty catchy for an arcade football game. You'll get to liking it. The announcer is pretty funny at time with some dumb comments here and there. The crowd is loud also. They boo you if you keep slamming your opponent though. Good stuff.

Graphics- The graphics are alright. The players look a little choppy but thats how it is supposed, to be, remember, its not a realistic football game. Player models look like everyone is on steroids(even the kicker!). You'll be surprised on how well they look for a 64 game.

Replayabillity- Well, you can keep playing season over and over until you get %100 in everything. Which takes a LONG time but you'll get there eventually. You can keep playing exhibition games and keep track of all your stats. Other then that, there really isn't anything else to do. You can also do tournaments with friends if you really wanted to.

Buy or Rent- Rent it first if you like realistic football games, but if your looking for hardcore action, BUY it.. Unless you've played another biltz then there is no reason you wouldn't like the original one. Its a great game to have in your collection and not to many stores probably have them left. So go out there and get yourself a copy! Hope I helped.
