"Err... Rid the galaxy of these weird people!"

I thought that I would like this game a little more just because I loved Waku Waku 7, but Galaxy Fight just wasn’t as good.

Gameplay- 7

Pretty simple gameplay. It is your ordinary fighting game with special moves, different characters, and bonus rounds. Though I noticed something much different in this game, this game actually had some challenge in it! Can the challenge be a bit too much? Possibly. I’ve found myself pit up against fighters with such cheap moves, that I manage to be beaten in three shots without getting a chance to attack, and this is on the easiest difficulty level. You need a good strategy to win, and you’ll have to come up with a new one on each character, so get ready for a big challenging game!

The controlls in the game are pretty good. Special attacks can be easily done, but I don’t think they are worth the trouble sometimes. The opponent will avoid the attack and pull an even stronger attack on you. You probably won’t like jumping in this one either. Nearly every time I jump, the other fighter ambushes me. I just like to stand in the corner of the screen and wait for the opponent to charge at me, then I kick him/her, =Þ.

Story- 7

The story varies on which character you pick. Each character has their own story and their own goal. For example, Roomi wants to leave her planet to try to become the galaxy’s first champion fighter and singer. Yeah, it is a bit odd. I like Waku Waku 7’s odd story more though, heh heh…

Audio/Video- 9

Heh, the best part of the game! The graphics are astounding, much better than what you’ve seen on Waku Waku 7. The backgrounds are even better! Though the character designs need some serious work… Roomi is perfect though, I think she should move to Waku Waku 7 and be rid of those un-cute characters of Galaxy Fight.

The music is pretty wild in this game. I’ve gotten a few of the songs stuck in my head before even, I’m not sure if that is a good thing though. The voices were done very well on those characters that actually speak. Roomi has the cute cat sounding voice of course. The sound effects are what you would normally hear in a fighting game, so you know what to expect there.

Replay Value- 6

Hmm… Once you start this game, you may be destined to keep playing until you beat it, which may take a while considering how tough the game actually is, but after that, what else is there to do? Hmm, nothing much besides fighting a friend on 2 Player mode. I’m not exactly sure if I want to play this one again, but I’d like to study the opponent’s strategies so I can actually enjoy this game more.

Play it or not?

Well, if you insist on playing a new fighting game, then I guess you could give it a try. Don’t waste your quarters on this one too much though, because you’ll be wasting A LOT. I still recommend that you play Waku Waku 7 for an easier and more fun fighting game.
