8.20.2001
Version 1.0 - Complete walkthrough, as well as everything else added,
all the information I have at this point. As I get more, I'll do
revisions and other stuff to make it more readable, fix spelling and
grammatical errors, etc.

(?`*.,II. Introduction,.*??)

Your brothers-in-arms are hostages behind enemy lines, and you're their
only hope for freedom. But the firepower you'll face to rescue them is
awesome. Rescue the POW's in the buildings. You'll need a pocket full
of miracles, and the ferocity of a wild jackal.

(?`*.,III. Controller,.*??)

A: Fire bullet
B: Throw grenade
Start: Pause Game
D-pad: Move

(?`*.,IV. Commonly Used Terms,.*??)

POW: Prisoner Of War, these will be the guys you are trying to rescue
- green - Regular men, no extra weapons
- brown - I'll call them 'generals', weapon advances for picking them up
Infantry: Enemy soldiers, they carry rifles
Cannons: The silver/blue turret guns

(?`*.,V. Walkthrough,.*??)

-------------------------
Mission 1: (coast)
-------------------------
This battle will make your blood boil. Good luck!

Infantry: 1 bullet, 1 missile (or you can run them over)
Cannon: 3 bullets, 1 missile
Tank: 3 bullets, 1 missile
Boat: 6 bullets, 1 missile

The helicopter will drop you off, and you are ready to begin your first
mission. Take out the two infantry in front of you, and head east, near
the forest. Go up and you will come to your first POW tent. Throw a
grenade at it to let the guy out, and drive over to him and he'll hop in
the jeep. You will now have a missile launcher instead of grenades.
*Keep in mind that as soon as you advance, you cannot go back, so don't
skip over any tents.

POW count: 1

Just northwest of the tent is a cannon, it should only take 3 shots to
destroy it, or one grenade. The cannon fires 3 bullets at a time, and
it shoots pretty rapidly, just dodge and shoot. Also, directly west of
the tent is another cannon, it is not necessary to destroy these, but if
you want points, go for it. Head north and you'll come to a set of 2
cannons, you can hide behind a rock for cover and just hit them with
grenades (missiles will hit the rock, you you'll have to go around and
fire), also watch your back as an infantry will advance from behind you.
There is another cannon west of these. Hit the green barricade with a
grenade and enter the camp. Pick off the two guards first, so they
won't cause you any problems
The POW tent at the bottom right contains 4 POWs. The green tent has a
general. The middle tent also has 4, and the one to the left has 2.

POW count: 12

*If your jeep gets hit, you will lose POWs, only have 5 lives, so make
them count! If you have to 'continue' you will begin at the start of
the level.
Head out of the camp and up to the bridge, take out the guards first and
then aim for the boat with a grenade/missile. On the other side of the
bridge, you'll encounter a tank, it takes four bullets, to kill, or one
grenade/missile. Directly north is a tent with a general.

POW count: 13

After moving forward a bit, you'll notice a white helicopter fly
overhead, that is your transport to get the POWs out. Head north and
you'll come to 2 cannons behind bunkers, take those out, head up and you
must destroy 4 more cannons, a tank, and a few infantry. Also, if you go
to the very northeast of this are, right next to the 3 cannons, there is
a corner in the jungle. Shoot around there and a star will appear, hit
this and all the cannons will automatically be killed. Move forward,
and there is a row of 3 cannons, which you will need to hit, and the
helicopter pad is just ahead. Take out the cannon in front of the tent,
get the general, and head to the pad where it says 'stop'. The POWs
will board the helicopter, and you will receive 500 points for each man.
Just up ahead is the 'boss' of the stage, so get ready!
*This level is very short, and can be completed within a few minutes if
you know what you're doing.

---Boss 1---

Blue tanks: 10 bullets, 2 missiles

I guess you could count this as a few mini-bosses. They are blue tanks,
each take two grenade/missile shots to kill them. I do not recommend
you use your bullets on these guys, just the explosive projectiles.
There are 5 tanks total, and it shouldn't take much longer than a minute
or so. Only strategy you need is hit and run.

------------------------
Mission 2: (ruins)
------------------------

Infantry: 1 bullet, 1 missile
Tank (brown): 4 bullets, 1 missile
Tank (gray): 6 bullets, 1 missile
Cannon: 3 bullets, 1 missile
Jeep: 2 bullets, 1 missile
Airplane: 1 missile (cannot hit w/ bullets)
Statues (water): 1 missile (cannot hit w/ bullets)
Pillar: 7 bullets, 1 missile

You'll notice a difficulty increase automatically, a tank will come
right at you, there are a few infantry and the cannons now shoot much
faster. Also the generals are now held in what look like tin shacks,
the first which can be found directly north of where you begin. (Regular
POWs are in tan colored tents)

POW count: 1

Head north and you will come upon a tank and two cannons which you
should take out. Also if you want some extra points, shoot the blue
statue in the water with a missile. Head into the camp, and there is a
general in front of you, go to the right and go all the way down and
kill the two infantry, these guys will kill you as you pick up POWs from
the tent if you don't. The south tent has 4, and the north also has 4.

POW count: 10

Right as you exit the camp, a gray tank attacks you, only this guy
shoots cannonballs at you, still only takes one grenade/missile to kill
though. Instead of trying to hit the two cannons, go out when they
don't fire and head west, and pick up the general.

POW count: 11

Now go back and take out the two with ease. Proceed forward and you now
have another option: east or west. Either way, you'll be in the same
place, the only difference is the west path is longer with more enemies,
and the east takes you directly to the next part. Also, an enemy plane
will fly overhead here, dropping bombs on you, dodge them, or shoot the
plane down so you won't get hit. As you come down the ramp, you will
see 5 pillars, the top of one will fall off. Be sure to dodge this as
it can kill you, when it lands, hit it with a missile and go on. Go up
to the grassy area, and take down the infantry, and pick up the general.

POW count: 12

A little north, it gets "exciting". You will need to take out 4
cannons, a few infantry, a tank, an airplane will fly overhead and drop
bombs, and you will encounter a new enemy, a jeep. This jeep moves very
fast, so it can be a hard target, and it throws grenades all over, so
watch out. Defeat all this, and drop of you POWs on the helicopter pad.
As you exit the grassy area, there will be 7 pillars falling down in the
next part, so keep an eye out for them. Another jeep is located in
here, and a plane also. Head towards the bridge, where yet another jeep
and plane will attack you. The blue statues (as seen before) are here
too, only this time they fire missiles at you, very easy to dodge, but
deadly if you don't pay attention. After the bridge and a few cannons,
its time for boss number two!

---Boss 2---

Statues: 3 missiles (cannot hit w/ bullets)

4 Statues are at the top, you will need to destroy them all to complete
the stage. They fire missiles at you, only these things follow you, so
you will need to be moving around pretty much the whole time. To
destroy the heads, hit them with a grenade/missile right before they
fire at you (when the mouth is open) or simply hit each one 3 times. So
try and move as much as possible, and use your bullets to destroy
incoming projectiles. Eventually, you will defeat them all, and can
proceed to the next area.

----------------------------
Mission 3 (shipyard)
----------------------------

Infantry: 1 bullet, 1 missile
Cannon: 3 bullets, 1 missile
Spread Cannon: 4 bullets, 1 missile
Boat: 10 bullets, 1 missile
Jeep (parked): 3 bullets, 1 missile
Tank: 4 bullets, 1 missile
Transport Truck: 1 missile

You will be in a shipyard are now. Proceed through the gate, and take
out the tanks and infantry coming after you. For some extra points,
take down the jeeps parked in the lot, they don't go anywhere so no need
to panic. Destroy the three cannons, and also watch out for the boat in
the water that will fire on you. Head northeast and you will come to
the first POW tents. Kill all the enemies first and then go for the
POWs. There are 4 in the top tent, and 4 in the bottom.

POW count: 8

Move north and you will come to two bridges, it doesn't matter which you
take, but a submarine will fire on you, and while they are shooting, you
will have to deal with a boat in the middle, 3 tanks and a few infantry.
If you manage to make your way through all the enemies, destroy one of
the parked jeeps to the right, you will get the best missile
automatically. Make your way up to the camp, the right tent has one,
and the left 4.

POW count: 12

Now you will encounter some lasers, simply go in between shots, and you
should be able to make it though without a problem. Behind the lasers
are quite a few infantry, 2 cannons, a tank, and a transport truck. In
order to drop off your POWs, you will need to kill all these fairly
quickly, otherwise the chopper will take off before you get to the pad.
(Why this pad has a peace symbol on it, I have no idea, maybe to remind
you that you're the good guy) Go through the gate, take out the cannons
and tank, and proceed to the next gate. In here, you will find a cannon
that pops up from the ground, and shoots multiple bullets, these are
pretty difficult, so make your move as they are going into the ground.
Take out the tank and prepare for the next boss.

---Boss 3---

Boat (cannons): 2 missiles each

This one can get a little tricky, as you now have 6 spread cannons
firing at you, so there will be a rain of bullets coming at you. Just
shoot missiles/grenades as much as possible, so you can take out a gun
and make it a little easier to move around without getting nailed. I
suggest going for the ones up front first, as they are closest and won't
give you much time to run. Then choose right or left, and take out one
of the ones on the end, and just work your way across the ship. Once
again, just hit and run is pretty much all you can do.

-------------------------
Mission 4 (swamp)
-------------------------

Infantry: 1 bullet, 1 missile
Tank: 4 bullets, 1 missile
Missile Launcher: Missile (cannot be hit by bullet)
Missile: 1 bullet, 1 missile
Rocks: 7 bullets, 1 missile
Truck Cannon: 8 bullets, 1 missile
Train: 1 missile

You'll notice two different types of terrain here, the grass, which you
can drive normally on, and the swampy area, which will slow you down
dramatically. I'd keep on the grass as much as possible. Take out the
tanks and infantry and move north. You'll notice a new enemy, the
missile launcher, these things are pretty difficult to take out since
they are in the swampy area, and getting to them is slow and you must
dodge the missiles at the same time. You'll come up to a fork in the
path, either way, there will be land mines (which pop up and disappear)
and falling rocks, so keep an eye out. (go for the left path, its
easier) At the top of each is a general's shack, the one on the left has
a truck cannon next to it which shoots rapidly.

POW count: 2

If you enter the camp, the bottom tent has 4 POWs, the middle has 4, and
a general at the top. Kill the cannons before trying to get the top two
tents.

POW count: 11

If you don't wish to enter the camp, before you enter, on the right will
take you past the camp and straight to a general right outside. This
path has a tank ahead, along with land mines. Either way, pick up the
general.

POW count: 12

You'll see your transport fly overhead, continue north. Behind the last
general's shack, up on the mountain is another rocket launcher. On the
west path from here, you'll see train tracks, if you continue ahead the
train will come up from behind you, just hit the engine and it will make
a nice explosion that hits the rest of the cars. Knock out the truck
cannon and proceed to the helicopter pad, taking out the cannons first.
There will be 4 more cannons and 2 tanks ahead, then you come to the
boss.

---Boss 4---

Helicopter: 7 missiles

The concept for this battle is pretty simple, the chopper comes forward,
hit it with a grenade/missile, then dodge the few bullets it shoots. It
will drop 3 infantry every time, which can be taken out very easily. It
will repeat this process over and over until its dead.

-----------------------------
Mission 5 (battlefield)
-----------------------------

Infantry: 1 bullet, 1 missile
Cannon: 3 bullets, 1 missile
Tank (brown): 4 bullets, 1 missile
Tank (gray): 6 bullet, 1 missile
Bridge cannon: 1 missile

You'll start out right next to a general's tent, pick him up and take
down the tank on the left.

POW count: 1

Head across the bridge and destroy the tank and two infantry waiting for
you. Then you can enter the camp and pick up some more POWs, there are
2 in the bottom right, 4 in the bottom left, and 2 in the top tent.

POW count: 9

If you head out the camp on the left, you'll see what appears to be a
general's tent, but in fact it's a decoy of sorts, if you hit it, a tank
will come out firing so be careful. Go through the gates, and there are
3 bridges you can go across. On the far right, has a gray tank and an
infantry. The middle has a brown tank, infantry, and also an extra life
you can pick up if you hit the bridge with a grenade/missile near the
end of it. Wall cannons are at the end of the bridge, and will fire a
lot. On the far left is land mines. Pick up the general in the tent on
the far right.

POW count: 10

There are 2 cannons behind barricades, these are tough unless you have a
grenade, or the best missiles. If you don't have either, do your best
to pick them off and not get hit. A gray tank is behind these two.
Another barricade will be in front of 2 cannons and a brown tank. After
that, a row of 3 more cannons. (can we get anymore cannons in here?!)
Kill the first tank as you enter the camp, and there is one behind it,
only it's a flame thrower tank. Take both out, and get the POWs. There
are 4 in the tent on the right, and 4 on the left. Then pick up the
general right outside the camp.

POW count: 18

Proceed across the bridge, and you'll come up to the helicopter pad.
But in front of it, you have 2 cannons, and an infantry on both sides of
those, also in the back are more infantry, including a flame throwing
one. Destroy the front line, and then pick up the general.

POW count: 19

Take them all to the chopper pad, and take down the infantry in the
back. Shoot the cannons in the next area from behind the fence and then
move forward. There will be one more tank in your way, and then the
boss.

---Boss 5---

Fort (turret guns, tank hangars): 1 missile each

Your first objective should be to take out the two guns in the middle,
once you have cleared these off, go to the right. The hangar doors will
open and tanks will come out if you don't blow them up. Shoot right
when the doors open and it will take out the hangars. Then get the gun
to the far right. Once you have completed this, head towards the left.
Once again, destroy the two hangars, then aim for the two guns on the
left. Once all the guns and hangars are destroyed, the gate can now be
opened and you can head to the next level.

We made it!

--------------------------
Mission 6 (fortress)
--------------------------

Infantry: 1 bullet, 1 missile
Tank (brown): 4 bullets, 1 missile
Tank (gray): 6 bullets, 1 missile
Tank (brown) parked: 3 bullets, 1 missile
Jeep: 2 bullets, 1 missile
Helicopter (brown): 1 missile (cannot be hit by bullets)
Roof Cannon: 1 missile
Airplane: 1 missile (cannot be hit by bullets)
Missile Launcher: 1 missile
Missile: 1 bullet, 1 missile

Helicopter:
Right when you begin, head left, and take out the guns on top of the
building with a missile. Go around and hit all the infantry and tanks,
and go for the POWs. Both tents have 4 POWs in them.

POW count: 8

Take down the 4 tanks and a few infantry before going for the next set
of POWs. Also the guns on the building should be killed. All 4 tents
around the building have 2 POWs each.

POW count: 16

Head for the gate on the left, go though and head right. You must take
out the guns on top of the building first before dropping the POWs off,
otherwise you will be killed. Watch out for a new enemy, the
helicopter, which will fire at you, and a jeep will come too. When you
come to the next gate, there will be a spread cannon right when you come
in. If you are feeling brave, you can run past all of the guns on the
roof, if you want points for an extra life, try and kill them all.
Inside the next gate you'll be met by two tanks (and also two parked
ones) and a spread cannon. Make your way up and you will come to a
building with 5 tanks, and a jeep will come up behind you. Also on the
building are roof cannons, which are not necessary to kill. Go right
and hit the parked tanks in the way and just go as fast as you can to
the gate, once again, killing the roof cannons on the side are not
necessary. Go into the area with the triangle on the ground, and kill
the missile launchers, and the roof cannons, and keep going up. Here
you will have to take out every roof cannon, or you'll get killed, there
are 8 total. There will be 2 more infantry, one tank and a helicopter,
proceed forward and prepare yourself for the final battle.

---Boss 6---

Fortress (laser cannons)

This is a tough battle. Make sure you have cleared all the normal
enemies out before going for this fight. It has laser 2 laser cannons
on it which fire very fast and they go all over the place, take these
out first, moving as much as possible. As always, hit and run is your
best option. Then aim for the middle of the building. After you've
destroyed the cannons and the rest of the building, you have completed
the game. Congrats! You made it!

If you've completed this on two player mode, why not step up the
dificulty and defeat it alone?

(?`*.,VII. FAQ,.*??)

Why are some bullets white, while others are orange?
- The white ones are just normal bullets, but the orange ones have a
longer range on them.
