III. Introduction
-----------------

So yeah... I've decided to write another Castlevania walkthrough! (geeze I need
to quit doing this. On second thought naw!) Welcome (back) to Transylvania youn
-g one. And this time you will embark on a great adventure. You take the main
leading role Simon Belmont (from the previous Castlevania) on another adventure
through the lands in which Dracula has tormented. I will tell the story of this
game in the story section.

This is the first game in the series to allow freedom of exploration and add in
adventure and RPG elements to the game (sorry Alucard fanboys & girls SOTN was
NOT the first game in the series to do this.) And yes don't let this old NES ga
-me fool you. It is rather long and can be some what stressful because you are
put in to the game world and you have no idea what to do. Orginally released ba
-ck in 1988, people awaiting the sequel to their favorit vampire game were very
stunned to find out that Castlevania was no longer line and took more of an exp
-loration element in to the game (a lot like the MSX version of Castlevania
known as vampir Killer)

Instead of going through the game in the regular Castle and adding to levels yo
-u must now explore the dark cursed lands of Transylvania in order to set thing
-s right. You are given a huge amount of freedom to go anywhere and do anything
to the game's limitations. From towns to haunted caves, to cemeteries and swamp
-s to vile cursed Mansions. Simon's Quest is an excellent game if you have the
patience to play through it and beat it.

So if you are new to the Castlevania series I recomend playing this game all th
-e way through. Or if you are a die hard Castlevania vet I have a feeling you
will enjoy this game. Other than that Simon's Quest is one of the trade marks
within the series. So prepare yourself for another vampire slaying adventure
as Simon Belmont.

V. How to Play
--------------

Controls:
---------

Directonal Pad: Allows Simon to move left and right while holding down allows
                him to duck.

A Button: This allows you to use your main weapon the whip.

B Button: Allows you to jump.

Start - Allows you to access the main menu of the game so that you can view the
main game time, how many hearts you have and select items and equipment
that which will become helpful as you play through the game.

Select - Pauses the game. (So does accessessing the main menu!)

Holding Up + A: This allows you to use the current subweapon you have equiped.

Game Time: This shows how long (not real time) you have been playing the game.

Hearts: Hearts act as currency and allows you to use certain subweapons. You
can have to 256 hearts in game. Look at the chart below to see what
        kind of hearts there are.

Game Elements:
-------------

There are two important game elements within the game of Castlevania II.

Game Time: Yes time is very important within this game as it determins the type
of ending you will recieve at the end of the game.

Beat the game under 8 hours (via game) with very little continues
for the best ending...etc. There are a total of three endings. So
becareful of how many times you die and how long you take to finish
           the game.

Night Time & Day Time.

This affects a lot of the game. At night you wont be able to go inside of the
buildings of the main towns through Transylvania. There will also be zombies
instead of actual people.

This also affects how strong enemies are within how many times you must hit
the foul beast to destroy them. It also affects the type of hearts they drop.]

_____________
VI. The Story
-------------

In 1691 Simon Belmont makes his way to Castle Dracula in order to defeat him li
-ke his previous ancestors have done before him. With the sacred Vampire Killer
whip he fights through the castle defeating the dominions of Hell itself and
makes his way up to the Castle Keep to put Dracula back to sleep for another
hundred years.

And Simon succeeded in ending Dracula's evil reign over Transylvania. But befor
-e he knew it, Dracula had placed a deadly curse on him and the land of which
he loved. And for seven years this curse that was placed upon him is slowly
roughting him away and making him gravely ill. One night Simon has a dream of
a ghostly woman who tells him that the curse is almost at it's end and soon
Simon will be no more.

He then attempts to try to find a cure for the vile sickness that Dracula had
inflicted upon him. And to make matters worse undead, monsters and demons have
started to reappear. He then one day he stumbles on to a gypsy fortune teller
who tells Simon "If you do not revive Dracula in three days you will die."

Simon not knowing how to resurrect the Lord of Vampires, he questioned the
gyspsy. She then tells him that in order to do so that he must gather the five
pieces of Dracula's body and burn them at his Coffin which he slept... And that
they where kept inside five Mansions with unknown locations. With very little
time Simon sets out in to the dark lands which Dracula had cursed. As he grew
ill each passing minute so did the land which he loves.

1. The Walkthrough
------------------

|Town of Jova
 ------------

Ok foo's are we ready? As soon as you see Simon appear on screen make your way
heading right. Don't bother talking to anyone unless you want to here some rath
-erstrange dialogue of mistranslations. Plus they don't really say anything to
help you either. When you pass the *Church make your way down the stairwell and
inside the doorway. In here talk to the local store clerk to obtain some Holy Wa
-ter (50 hearts.) Now make your way down and head right out of town. Now out he
-re you will be facing some Werewolves and Skeletons. Kill them and collect atl
-east 150 hearts. I will tell you after you obtain the currency.

*Tip: Churchs allow our main character to replenish his strength (in other word
-s ALL of his life will be restored when you talk to the priest.

Now you have probably noticed this by now but when night time hits all monsters
will become stronger. So be extreamely careful when it is dark. Once you have c
-ollected 150 hearts return to town (during the day time.)

Note: At night towns are filled with zombies and you cannot enter any buildings
within the area. You must wait until daylight in order to do so.

Now walk back up the stairs and talk to the store clerk outside the door. Buy t
-he White Crystal for 50 hearts (you will need it later on, trust me.) After th
-at jump on to the ledge on the left. Now make your way to the first doorway yo
-u see. Inside talk to the store clerk and buy the Thorn Whip for 100 hearts.

We are pretty much done with this town. Head back to the right to enter the nex
-t section. Because now it is time to make our way to the town Veros.

*Tip: Whip upgrades are very important. They will make Simon's main attack
stronger. There a total of 5 whips within the world of Castlevania II:
      Simon's Quest.

|Path to Veros
 -------------

You should remember this place. If not make your way killing the Werewolves and
Skeletons. Continue heading to the next screen. If you bought the chain whip th
-en the monsters will be hell of a lot more easier. In the next screen you will
have to battle out with Skeletons and Mermen while crossing dangerous gaps of a
broken bridge. Do not fall in or it will be an instant death for our hereo. Con
-tinue to the next screen. In this section the blocks in front of you are break
-able via Holy Water. But I wouldn't recomend it (do it if you wish.) Jump up o
-n to the stones and kill the skeleton above. Continue to the next screen. On
this screen I recomend you fight the skeletons and gain at least 200 hearts for
the town. Once you do so head down the long stairwell in to the cave, now head
right and you will be in the town of Veros.

|Town of Veros
 -------------

Yeah... I know, short trip, eh? Yeah I thought so... Anyway in this town enter
the first doorway you see. Inside you will find an empty room. Oh no! Why did
you take us here? Well erm... You should use Holy Water on the right wall. Once
you have done that go inside the next room. Here you will find a store clerk wh
-o will sell you a Dagger (50 hearts) Buy it from him and then leave this house
of uselessness.

Once back outside head right until you find the church. Use it if you need some
healing. After that continue right to find another doorway. Once you have found
it climb the stairwell and enter. Now in here destroy the stones on the floor
in order to reveal a hidden sub-basement. Climb the stairs downward until you
find another store clerk. Buy the Chain Whip from him (150 Hearts) after that
you may leave this town heading back where we came in.

|Heading to Berkeley Mansion
 ---------------------------

Yeah this will be simple. Just head back up the stairwell and kill off the Skel
-etons now head right and kill the mobs on the platforms. Hop on them to avoid
the posioned water flow below. Enter the next screen. Here drop some Holy Water
on the Skeleton below. Now equip your Dagger and throw it at the Merman who pop
-s up from his small lake. Continue to the next screen to find Berkeley Mansio-
-n.

|Berkeley Mansion
 ----------------

We have a lot to do here. First off you are probably wondering what we need to
do in order to pass this huge body of water. I believe the correct term would
be is to go up. But how? Equip the White Crystal we bought back at Jova. Upon
equiping it you will see a stone platform ascending and descending. Hop on it
and make your way up. Now kill the Spear Armor which will try to knock you back
down or in to the water below. Continue heading right until you find a stairwel
-l near some spikes on the wall. (Do not bothering going down.) Now try to avoi
-d the blobs, if not kill them with some Holy Water. Now head left to find some
platforms. (Make sure you kill the Gargoyle on the way.) Kill the Sword Skeleto
-ns on these platforms to make your way up. Don't bother with the Spear Armor j
-ust yet. Head right and kill the blobs that get in your way. You will then com
e to an area patrolled by Skeleton Swordsmen and spikes. Kill the Skeletons and
hop over the spikes. You will come to a dead end. Break the wall to find a book
this is one of the 13 clues to Dracula's riddle. Read it carefully it will give
you a special clue.

Now backtrack to where you saw the Spear Armor that I told you not to kill. End
his undead life and make your way up the stairs battling the vile undead swords
-men. Make your way all the way right. Once you are slightly near the edge of
the stone portion do not jump to the next. Instead use the Holy Water to find
fake stones. If you jump on these you will fall through the floor. So make sure
you jump on the third block. Now make your way to the next screen.

Here you will see an Old Man at the bottom of you, that is one of our main dest
-inations. Kill the Skeleton Swordsmen who blocks your path. Make your way down
the stairwell. Kill the skeleton and proceed to the next stairwell and head lef
-t to another. Climb it and hop over the spike gaps. Talk to the Old Mand and
purchase a Wooden Stake for 50 hearts. now go to the dead end and break the wal
-l to find Clue 2 of Dracula's riddle. Now head back to the stairwell and make
your way down. Head down the next set of stairs and head right to another dead
end. Break the wall to find the 3rd and last clue of this Mansion. Now head bac
-k to the stairwell. Make your way down and right. Here carefully use Holy Water
on the ground so that you can find an invisable gap. Once you have found it jum
-p across it and kill the Skeleton Swordsmen. Continue going right until you co
-me to a room of men hanging and a strange glowing orb. You remember that Woode
-n Steak we bought? Use it on that orb! Collect the bag that appears before
you.

You now have possession of Dracula's Rib. Congratulations our first Mansion is
over and done with. Now backtrack and leave this forsaken place.

*Tip: Dracula's Rib can be used as a shield to block on coming projectiles (aka
      fire balls) from certain enemies.

|Aljiba Woods
 ------------

Once you are outside of the Mansion head right. On the next screen make your wa
-y past the Skeletons and Bats which fly towards you. On the next screen you wi
-ll be attacked by Spiders and Skeletons. Destroy whatever the Spiders throw at
you and kill them. Continue heading right until you see a Cave go inside and yo
-u will be on Dabi's Path.

|Dabi's Path
 -----------

This section is pretty short so do not worry. Just stay on the top portion whil
-e avoiding the or killing the floating eye balls. On this next section you wil
-l be ambushed by bats and eyeballs, kill 'em off and proceed to the bottom. Do
not head to the right screen yet. Now break the bottom blocks with Holy Water a
-nd continue to the bottom right section to a dead end. Break the blocks to fin
-d the Sacred Flame item. Now head to the right screen. In this area RUNNN! Thi
-s area is slightly annoying. Dodge the spiders which come your way while killi
-ng the Skeletons which block your path and head to the next screen.

Now in this section kill the skeletons but do not go down the stairwell you see
infront of you. Instead continue right to the next screen. This area has some
more Spiders and Skeletons make your way past them to the next screen and you
will be in the town Ajiba

|Town of Aljiba
 --------------
It's time to go shopping! Head to the first door you see and you will be inside
an empty room. Destroy the floor via Holy Water and proceed down the stairs to
find a store clerk. Purchase the Garlic (4 total for 50 Hearts) now make your w
-ay outside. Go right to find another open door and head inside, again another
empty room. Make your way down the steps and in to the room on the right. Insid
-e will be some Gypsy woman who says that "Dracula's eyeball will reflect the
curse" or whatever that means. Head back outside. Continue heading right, jump
over the gaps of water and head up the stairs in to another open doorway. Here
is another empty room. Bomb the hell out of the floor and make your way down
and enter the right room. Inside will be a store clerk. Now buy two sets of
Laurels so that you will have four total (50 Hearts each) now leave and go back
outside. Climb the stairway to the top of the town and head right. You will see
a man colored grey. Talk to him and he will want to trade your White Crystal fo
-r a Blue Crystal.

We are done here. Now go back down the stairs and head right to come to a cemet
ery. Kill the two hands you see before you and continue right until you come to
a path we cannot reach. Why? Well uh... Throw some garlic (make sure its not in
the water) and head back to the left. You will see a golden cloaked figure who
when you talk to him will give you the Silver Dagger. Nifty now had back throug
-h town and to the left screen. Backtrack yourself to the long sairway we passe
-d going in to the ground.

|Heading to Rover Mansion
 ------------------------

Make your way down the long set of stairs and head to right to the next screen.
You will now be inside a cave. Make your way up the platforms killing the Skele
-tons and Eyeballs that come your way. Now you can either take the top path or
the bottom path and ride the floating platforms to the same area. Once on the
next screen you will come to a body of water which you cannot pass. So why did
I take you here? Well remember that Blue Crystal we got earlier? Well equip it
and duck, wait for the water to reveal a secret path underneath. Make your way
down do't bother going down the stairwell, jump off to the stone and make your
way to the right screen you are now at Rover Mansion.

|Rover Mansion
 -------------
Once inside you will be greeted by a Spear Armor and Skeleton Swordsman. Kill t
-hem both and continue to the right. You will come to some gaps of water. Jump
to the high ledge and then jump through the fake wall to land on the other side
now head to the next screen. Here kill the Skeletons and jump over the water ga
-ps. Pass the stairwell to find another large lake of water and a platform we
can jump on. Once on it beware of the moving platform which will try and knock
you off. Jump on top of it and jump to the stone platform above it. Now head
right, use holy water to find invisable stones. Continue until you come to a d
-ead end. Use Holy Water on the wall to reveal Clue 1 in this Mansion. Now back
track and make your way to the Old Man below. Once you are at him talk to him
to purchase a Wooden Stake (50 Hearts)

Now backtrack to the stairway we skipped. Make your way up the three sets of
stairs and head right. Kill the Spear Guard and make your way up the next set.
Now had left. You will see some stones you can jump on in a tight space. This
part is sorta tricky but you'll eventully get past it. Make your way up and hea
-d right, skip the stairs and you will come to a dead end. Use Holy Water on th
-e Wall to find the 2nd clue. Now make your way down the stairs and head left
drop down through the gap below and make your way right to a strange flashing o
-rb. Use the Stake on it and a bag will appear. Collect it.

You now have possession of Dracula's Heart. Now backtrack and leave this hole.

Once outside we must now backtrack ALL the way back to Jova. So I hope you do
remember the way. If not well then I don't know - sucks for you. Naw! Just use
my guide to backtrack.

|Heading to the Town of Aldora
 -----------------------------
Once you back at Jova equip Dracula's rib to use it as a shield. Now head left
and you will be greeted by some Lizardmen who in which will shoot fireballs at
you. Use Dracul'a Rib as a shield to block these attacks and hit them with your
whip. Proced left dodge the black cats that come your way until you come to a p
-oised lake. Kill the Swamp Monster that comes out of it. Now use a Laurel.

*Tip: Laurels will allow you to talk in these posioned marshes for a limited
      time. So becareful!

Make your way past the marsh and on to the next screen. Here take out the Lizar
-dmen and you will come to a lake with a Ferryman. Equip Dracula's Heart and th
-en talk to him. He will take you across the river to where you need to go.

Upon you hitting the next screen quickly jump off the boat and head to the next
screen. You will have come to a Mansion. Ignore it for now and proceed to the
next screen. In this section you will not see any monsters. Instead you must ma
-ke your way across some floating platforms which are somewhat impossible. The
trick is: wait for the blocks to come up and as they do jump off of them. This
will allow Simon to do a super-type jump. Once you have crossed it haed to the
next screen.

Here take out the Hawks and the Mummy and proceed left. Jump over the gaps of
water while killing the Evil Spirits. You will then come to a plant that will
shoot fireballs and some medusa heads. Kill them and proceed to the left. You
will find a man in a brown hood cloak. Speak with him to obtain the Diamond wea
-pon. Now backtrack all the way to the Ferryman. Once there talk to him without
equiping Dracula's Heart. He will take you back near the posion marshes. Once
on the other side talk to him again. He will then take you to the town Aldora.

|Town of Aldora
 --------------

Yeah we don't really have to obtain anything in this town besides the Red Cryst
-al. Just head up the set of stairs and jump to the ledge where the grey colore
-d man is. Talk to him to exchange the Blue Crystal for the Red Crystal. Now
head out of time going left.

|Sadam Woods
 ----------
Kill the two blobs and move foward. Kill the Dragon Skeletons (use your shield
to guard you from their fireballs) Now head to the next screen. Here kill the
Skeletons Shades, skip the stairs and head to the next screen on the left. Here
kill the Blobs you see before you and head to the next screen via left. You are
now in the town Oldon.

|Town of Oldon
 -------------

From here climb up the stairwell and then the next. Once on the 2nd portion go
left to find another set of stairs. Pass it and you will come to an opened door
-way. Inside climb the stairs down to the basement and enter the next room on
the right. Inside will be a store clerk. Purchase the Morning Star whip. Once
you have obtained it leave the way you came in and backtrack to the stairwell
that I told you to skip? Well head down it. Now head down the 2nd set of stairs
that you see. Now carefully use Holy Water on the stones to find fake stone blo
-cks that you can walk on. Make your way past it and head to the left screen.

|Heading to Braham Mansion
 -------------------------

You should now be in a cemetery. Kill the hands while continue heading left.
Jump over the platforms. Below will be two Bone Dragons. Kill them and continue
on ward while killing Skeletons and blobs. You will eventully come to a dead en
-d. Throw some garlic on the ground to make a golden robed figure appear. Talk
to him to obtain the Silk Bag. This item will allow you to sustain more damage
and live longer. Now backtrack to the Ferryman. Ride his boat across the river
and equip Dracula's Heart when you set foot on the other side. Talk to him agai
-n and he will take you to Braham Mansion.

|Braham Mansion
 --------------

At the start of this area continue fowards while jumping over the skip pits. Af
-ter doing so you will come to a set of stairs. Head up them and kill the Spear
Guard. Make your way up the second set and kill the Skeleton. Ascend up the thi
-rd set while killing the Spear Guard and Blob.

Now we must head to the right where we will find some stairs. Head up the first
set of stairs and kill the Skeleton Swordsman. Proceed up the next set and make
your way right until you find another set. Kill the two Skeletons and proceed
on up. Here take out that infernal Gargoyle. Now continue on to the next screen
and make your way down a platform and on to the other side. Here there will be
two Gargoyles. Take 'em out with the Sacred Flame. Now head down the next set
just take caution of the Spear Guard down below.

Don't head to the next screen just yet. Make your way to that dead end and use
Holy Water on the walls to reveal one of Dracula's Clues. Read it and continue
to the next screen. On this next screen you will see the Old Man. Talk to him
to purchase a Wooden Stake. After you have obtained it proceed down and then ta
-ke the stairs down. Kill off any enemies you see and take the second set and
then the next. Once you reach the bottom head to the next screen. In this small
hallway you will be confronted by some Bats. Kill 'em and proceed to the next r
-oom.

_________
- Boss - |
---------
The Grim Reaper (aka Death)

Well this really isn't a boss. But he will continue to come towards you firing
his sickles and trying to hit you with his Sythe. Just attack him with regular
whip attacks and when he gets on the ground level use the Sacred Flame. After a
few hits he will drop the Golden Dagger. We now have all your sub weapons colle
-cted!
------------------------------

Now that he is dead proceed to the next screen. Here you will see the same Flas
-hing Orb that we have seen in all the other Mansions. Just use the Wooden Stak
-e on it. Congratulations you now have obtained Dracula's Eyeball. Now we shall
depart from this spooky place.

Note: You probably have noticed when you returned to the chamber room where the
boss was. Well he's back. Fight him or Ignore him if you wish.

|Obtaining the Flame Whip
 ------------------------

We are going to obtain the final and strongest whip in the game. So I really do
recomend this item before we proceed. Plus it is on the way to the Bodley Mansi
-on. So let us head back to the Ferryman. Make sure Dracula's Heart is not in u
-se and head back to the Town of Jova and use the Church here to heal. Now head
back to the Ferryamn take him to the Town of Aldora. Now from here head to the
Town of Oldon. Once here leave it via left and continue until you come to a dea
-d end. You are probably wondering why we are here. Well if you rid Dracula's
Clue in the Braham Mansion it says use the Red Crystal for a Soul or something
to come.

Well Equip it and then kneel. Now wait for it to come. You will eventully see a
Tornado come out of the cliff and transport you somewhere you really have no cl
-ue about. You will now be in front of Bodley's Mansion. But do not go in just
yet. Head to the left screen. Exit to the next screen of this lifeless place.

You will then come to a river that doesn't really seem it's a good idea not to
cross (apparently all famous vampire hunters can't swim.) Just use the Red Crys
-tal and kneek. A secret path will be revealed - climb the platforms down and
head to the next screen. You will be in underground cave beneath the river. Ign
-ore the Skeleton which you see and then jump over the stone and head to the le
-ft. Here you will see some floating platforms. Jump on them to come to what se
-ems to be a dead end. Use the Holy Water on the wall to reveal that inside wil
-l be a cloaked man. Talk to him and he will upgrade your Morning Star to the
Flame Whip. Now that we have this excellent weapon backtrack to the Mansion and
enter it.

|Bodly Mansion
 -------------

We're gonna make this a short visi, trust me we will! Make your way and kill
that Spear Guard in front of you. Now make your way to the right and kill the
Skeleton. Now head up the stairs. And then the second set. Once you're above th
second set of stairs use Holy Water on the stones to find an Invisible hole.
Once you have located them jump over and ascend up. Now make your way right whi
-le jumping over the spikes below. YOu will eventully come to a dead end. Well
It's a fake wall. So Jump inside of it to the next screen. Now on this next scr
-een take out the Skeletons and then the ones below. Drop down and continue goi
-ng right. You will eventully come to a Dead End. Use Holy Water on the walls
to break them. Now head right jump over the spike hole and you will come to a
set of stairs. Head up the stairs and kill the Spear Guard now head and drop to
the small stone corner below. Break the ways on the left to reveal one of Dracu
-la's clues.

Now drop down and head to the stairway and go down the other set we passed and
then the 2nd set you will eventully come to two dead Ends and one pissed off Sk
-eleton throwing bones at you. Kill 'em. Now head left you will find an invisbl
-e wall. Jump in to it and make your way to the Old Man and buy the Oak Stake
from him. Now continue to the left until you fall through a fake floor. Now hea
-d left and follow the stairs down then head right. You will eventully come to
the Flashing Orb which holds one of Dracula's body parts. Strike the evil orb
with the Stake and you will have recieved Dracula's Nail. Now that we are done
here I will now lead you the way out (since this is such a tricky place.)

Make your way back to the set of stairs and got on the set behind it. Make your
way up them and head in to the first left door way you see. Here you will find
yourself with some stairs and a water grave below you. You can either take the
stairs or you can use holy water on the blocks infront of you break them in ord
-er to jump on the stone platforms to cross this watery death. Either way you
will come to a dead end. It's a fake wall so jump through it and make your way
to the exit.

|Heading to Laruba Mansion
 -------------------------

From here head left until you reach the lake we previously visited. Use the Red
Crystal again. Now head back in to the secret underground cave. Make your way
up and kill the Skeleton. Make your way up until you come to a stone wall. Use
the Holy Water on it to destroy the stones. Now here you will have to do some
jumping. But before you do so kill the Ghost Skulls that come before you so tha
-t will make the jump a hell of a lot easier. Continue going left until you get
back on the ground. Kill the Skeleton and then head to the next screen.

On this screen you will face some more floating skulls and some Fire Elemental
Skeleton type things who will throw fireballs at you. Just kill him and you wil
-l then come to some floating stone platforms. Just jump across them to the
other side. Continue killing enemies until you reach some posionus water. This
is a long stretch so make sure you have plenty of Laurels to cross it.

*Tip: To get through this portion faster use the Laurels and constatly jump to
move much faster. Plus if you jump just right your Laurel does wear off
will be able to use another before you land.

Make your way past the dangerous waters you will be right outside Laruba Mansio
-n!

|Laruba Mansion
 --------------

Once inside kill the very powerful Skeleton Swordsmen infront of you. Now proce
-ed right until you come to a stairwell. Ascend it and kill the powerful Spear
Guard waiting for you up above. Now make your way left killing off another Guar
-d. Make your way up the stairs and jump across to the right. Here take out the
SKeletons while ignoring the set of stairs. Continue heading left until you com
-e to a descending stairway. Ignore it and hop on to the platforms until you hi
-t a doorway. Enter it to advance.

Now that we are on the second screen kill the skeleton below you by jumping ove
-r it. Whip it and jump on to the playform it was on and jump up to the next
section of stones. Now make your way up the stairs then jump on to a stone plat
-form and make a huge jump to the floor above you. Here you will see a Skeleton
and spike pits. Kill the Skeleton and jump over the pit. Continue foward and ta
-lk to the Old Man to purchase an Oak Stake. After that turn around and head
left. Jump over the spike pit and drop down until you reach the doorway we prev
-iously entered. Kill the Skeleton below that and drop down again. Kill the tee
-naged angst skeleton swordsmen who throws his bones at you. Now drop down agai
-n. Make your way down some stones and jump down to the left portion of the flo
-or. You will find an Old Man who begs you take some Laurels from him. Score!

Now you will see a floating stone platform infront of you riding across a huge
spike gap. Get on it and ride it to find another platform carefully time your
jump while avoiding spikes that shoot up from the ground and Spiders Shooting
their webs at you. Once you reach the other side continue heading right until
you come to a boss.

 _______
|-Boss- |
 -------

Carmilla's Mask

This boss is pathicly easy. She will float around the room a few times before
stops. When she does she will cry bloody tears and as they drop on the floor
they will create fire balls in all directions. In order to dodge this use Dracu
-la's rib to shield the fireballs. Now as she circles just whip her to death.

After she dies she will drop a very important item. The Magic Cross. The reason
for this is because if you do not have it you will not be able to enter Castle
Dracula at the end of the game. So make sure you kill her and not ignore her!
-----------------------------

After she is dead enter the next head in to the next room to find the magic orb
and strike it to destroy it's deadly shield to get the final part: Dracula's Ri
-ng. After that we are done here. So backtrack until you get outside.

|The Final Blessing (Beriding of the Curse & Confrontation of Count Dracula)
 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Welcome to the final portion of the game. We are pretty much done with all the
Mansions and have collected all the weapons. So what do we do now? We must now
make our way to Castle Dracula to get rid of Simon's deadly curse. So lets get
to it!

Once outside of the mansion make your way right and make your way past the dead
-ly posionus waters and make your way back to Bodly Mansion. Once there continu
-e heading right. Here you will be on a screen full of Mummies and then Harpies
and Medusa Heads. Continue on ward and you will be in the Town of Fetra

|Town of Fetra
 -------------
Once you enter this town you will not feel welcomed. If you talk to the first
man you see upon entering you. He says something very unwelcoming. Anyways igno
-re everyone else if you wish and continue heading right.

Note: Use the Church if you need to heal up! This is the last Church you'll be
      seeing so take caution!

|Heading to Castle Dracula
 -------------------------

In the next area make your way across the broken bridge killing off Merman and
Skeletons. Once across head to the next screen. You will now be in a place with
some Lizardmen. Kill 'em and proceed to the poisonous water. Use the item that
you need so you want take any hits. Now now kill the next enemy on the other si
-de and head to the next screen. Here head down the stairs and you will come
to the town of Ghulash.

This town appears to be a ghost town. Apparently Dracula's curse or the vampire
Lord himself killed the poor townsfolk. There is pretty much nothing to do here
besides continue heading right. In this section you will be in a cemetery. Kill
the Mummies and other beast that make their home here and continue to the next
screen. You will now be in front of a bridge but no access to it. Use the Holy
Water to break down the barrier and cross it. Continue crossing it until you
enter Castle Dracula for the final show down.

|Castle Dracula
 --------------

Ahh yes finally we have reached Dracula's castle. This place is pretty short
but there are some challanging jumps but there are no monsters within this curs
-ed place.

Make your way right until you come to a dead end. Use Holy Water on the wall
to break it upon. Now descend down the stairwell. Drop down below and continue
to drop down. Now head left and ascend up the sairwell and jump over the huge
gap. Now drop down and ascend and descend up the two sets of stairs. Now make
your way down the last set of stairs and make your way foward. Dracula's Coffin
awaits my friend.

Once inside Simon will make his way to Dracula's Coffin he will then take all
of Dracula's remains and throw them in to his coffin and then burn them. Once
he has done that Dracula will be resurrected and the final show down will comen
-ce.

|-Final Boss-|

Dracula

Dracula is rather pathetic in this game. Instead of the traditonal method he is
normally known for he will float around the room attacking you with some of his
dark magic. But here is a little tip to avoid an intence fight. Use the Sacred
Flame on him once he appears and continue to use that on him while whipping him
and he will be dead before you know it.

Congratulations you have beat Castlevania 2: Simon's Quest! Enjoy one of the
three endings (depending on how fast you beat the game.)
