This is a full walkthrough of Mickey Mousecapades for the NES. Controls, the walkthrough, and some tricks/codes are included in this FAQ. 2:THE FAQ A:Controls A:Jump B:Shoot START:Pause Select-Not used Left/Right-Move Up/Down-Climb ladders/enter doors Down (on ground)-Minnie will walk toward you (Mickey) Good if she has strayed off. B:Basics and Tips -Minnie cannot get hurt, but Mickey can. -Some places in the wall can be shot, and you can either get a health diamond, clear screen diamond, Honey girl, or the dreaded Crow, who will capture Minnie. -If the Crow captures Minnie, you must find another spot in the wall to shoot. It will give you a key, and you will be taken to a room with a bunch of statues. One has Minnie, the rest do not. You must touch the right one. If you do, you get Minnie back, if not, you will be transported out and you must find another key. -The crow can be avoided if you switch screens before he grabs Minnie or before he takes her off the screen completely -The Honey Girl grants full invincibility for a short period of time. She will leave if you enter a boss room no matter how long you have had her. You can take her in a boss room at levels 1 and 5 -The Crow only appears at levels 1 and 5 (Fun House and Castle) -The screen clear diamond eliminates all enemies on that screen, but you get no points for it. -Touching bosses will instantly make you lose all your energy. -You cannot leave the level without Minnie C:ITEMS Shooting Star-Found in Level 1 (Fun House) This will allow you to destroy your enemies. Mickey and Minnie can each get this power. Two treasure chests located in the level contain this item. Cake-Restores 2 units of health Health Diamond-Restores all health Clear Diamond-Clears all the enemies on the screen. No points though. Fun House Door Key-Opens the way to the rest of the first level, including the Wizard Boss Ocean Door Key-This will open the door at the start of the game. The Wizard is guarding it. Honey Girl-This fairy will give you total invincibility for a limited time. If you manage to enter a bosses area with her, she will fly away immediately. Crow-Only appears in levels 1 and 5 (Fun House and Castle) Will capture Minnie. Leave the screen before he takes her or takes her away from the screen fully! Statue Room Key-If the crow gets Minnie, every hidden bonus gives you a key to the statue room to get a chance to get Minnie back. D:FUN HOUSE (LEVEL 1) Enemies: Snakes-Destroy this with stars. Easy enough Spiders-You must first make them move before you can hurt them. Big Cat-Guards the second locked door blocking the way to the Ocean Door Key Bombing bird-Drops small energy pellets from above. Jump and attack him when he is on the other end of the screen. Brooms-Shoot the handle, the actual broom part is immune to the shots! Hothead-Might be in the 2nd chest in place of Minnie's Star, keep getting this until you get the star and Hothead does not keep poping up. Falling Lamps-Some of these lamps will fall when you get nearly right under them. You can trigger them and avoid them. One characteristic of these lamps is that your shots go through the regular ones, but hit the falling ones, so you can tell which ones fall and which ones do not fall. Level 1-Fun House: You will start this level with no shooting stars, so you cannot blast your enemies away yet. You will see a locked door that leads to the second level, but first, you must find it's key. Proceed up the ladder and avoid the snakes by jumping over them, then climb up one screen and then proceed right. You will find a treasure chest. Touch it to get Mickey's shooting star. Now you can shoot stars! Now go back and proceed up to the top screen. Go to the lower section of the top screen and then proceed right. You will see a window that has some shutters over it. Shoot it repeatedly to open the window, revealing a 1-up! Take it and proceed right. You will see the Big Cat and another locked door on the top half of the screen, and on the bottom half (which you should be on now) a treasure chest. It contains the key to the door the Big Cat is guarding. Take it and then go all the way back left. Go up to the top of the screen. Shoot the snakes up there if you want. Proceed right and then fire as fast as you can at the Big Cat, at the same time jumping his shots. After he goes down, walk into the door and the key you have will unlock it. Destroy the brooms taht you find in the next room and then proceed to and then down the ladder. Watch out, as that lamp falls, you will have to try and trigger it, then clear out so it does not come down on your head! Proceed and head left to the other treasure chest room. You will see the other treasure chest in the room where you got the first star. Unfortunately, you might get Hothead out of the chest, if so, destroy him and go back one screen, then forward again, then take the chest again. After a few tries, you will get Minnie's Star, so now you both can shoot down your enemies. Go back a couple of screens to the right and proceed down. When you go down as far as you can go, go to the right one screen. You will find the Wizard Boss... Wizard Boss Climb the ladder and jump his energy shots. As you do that fire your stars on him. Very easy to beat. After a few hits, he should be defeated and you can take the chest, which contains the ocean key. Now return to the beginning of the stage and open the door. Make sure you have Minnie with you or you cannot proceed if you do, get on the ocean scenery window and you will be off to the Ocean! E: Level 2-The Ocean Enemies: Jellyfish:These jump out of the wave's crest. This might get you if the wave does not. Shoot stars to avoid being stung! Waves:Cannot be hurt unless you have Honey Girl with you. Jump over these. Bombers-Slow moving birds dropping slow falling bombs. Fish-These will bounce on the water and then fly off the screen. Watch that they don't hit you! Traps: Water-Fall in this and you will lose a life This level is composed of islands, logs, and water. If you or Minnie fall in, you lose a life. you must both land on the islands. that being said, proceed to the right. When you approach some islands, waves will begin to sweep towards you. You must jump them, then fire stars to defeat the jellyfish it launches. There are some secret spots in the wall that contains Honey Girl Fairies, so you can be invincible and run through the waves. Watch out for the bombers and jumping fish and keep working your way forward. One place has a hidden health diamond. That is always there. Grab it before proceeding to the boss. Crocodile Boss This guy will fire a multitude of energy bubbles. Stay on the very left side of the screen and fire as fast as you can. You should defeat this guy in no time. Easy eh? If you are fast enough, the bouncing bubbles won't even reach you. F: Level 3-The Woods This level is a maze. They are divided in seasons. Part 1-Spring Woods (Purple) Part 2-Summer Woods (Green) Part 3-Fall Woods (Pink) Part 4-Winter Woods (White) Part 5-Dense Woods (End of level) You must take the right series of doors (press UP when you find one) You could be sent forward or back. Shoot the trees and you can get diamonds and Honey Girl invincibility fairies. Or you could open a hidden door. This is necessary for advancing BTW. A hidden door leads to the end, so you need to know which ones are hidden. Enemies Mutant Mushrooms-These will bounce along the wood floor. Scorpions-These can fire their stingers at you. Jump and attack Bears-These throw rocks, and can cause a lot of close range damage Traps: Grass pit-Fall in this and you will fall down and lose a life. Opening pit-These will open up before you. Be quick or fall in. You start in the purple (Spring) Woods. Move forward to the right, taking out the mushrooms and scorpions on your way. Take the 2nd open door over to get to the summer woods, or go farther and shoot the tree trunks, and find the 3rd door that will take you to the Fall Woods. Summer (Green) Woods-Move forward still, taking out the enemies as you go, take the 2nd door that is open. Fall (Pink)-The bears here can cause heavy damage. Destroy them quickly and find the hidden door that will take you forward. It should be near another group of bears. Winter (White)-Proceed right until you find the START sign again. Shoot the big tree trunk past the START sign and you will open a hidden door. This will lead you to the final area. Dense Woods-Proceed forward, but slowly as the floor will open up infront of you in some areas, and if you are not careful, you might fall in. Jump over these (make sure neither you or minnie fall in) and proceed right. Eventually, you will pass 3 mutant mushrooms and some rocks. Past this area is the boss. Dragon Boss He will spit energy rings and advace toward you. Jump up and nail him in the head. Do it quickly because he will advance all the way across the screen, and if he does, he will touch you and you will lose a life instantly. Shoot him in the head quickly and destroy him before he gets too close. F: Level 4-Pirate Ship This level is only 4 screens...the shortest in the game. But don't expect it to be a total cakewalk though. Enemies: Bombing Crow-Kinda like the bombing birds in the Ocean and the Woods Pirate Lackey-These will walk along the deck, but run much faster when they see you. Skull pirate-these fire small skull like projectiles. Just fire like crazy! But touching the pirate himself is an instant life lost. You start on the top of the first screen. Climb down the ladder and take out the bird from the ladder.Then when the pirate is heading to the left of the screen, jump down behind him and fire away! or climb downward to the next screen, whichever. You will then find a skull pirate. Defeat him and proceed right to the next screen. You will have to contend with the small pirates before you can get to the ladder with the boss. Once you get past him, you can now fight the captain of this ship. PegLeg This guy throws an endless array of knives. They are slow, but the raise and lower unexpectedly. You have to shoot him in the face to hurt him. You can climb up and fight him and contend with the knives, but this will be much easier: Have Mickey walk just a little to the left of the ladder to PegLeg's Platform. Minnie should be lined up with the ladder. Hold up so Minnie climbs the ladder to the top. Notice Minnie is up top, but mickey is not. Now have Minnie walk right and she will not get hurt by the knives. Now fire at PegLeg's face until he is defeated. Easy huh? G: Level 5-The Castle This is the final level. You must defeat the boss and rescue your mystery friend! But first, you need to find the key to the boss's door! Enemies: Purple Crows-These do 2 damage points instead of 1 Prince-This guy takes a few hits and chucks rocks at you Dragonflies-Slow moving, take them out PegLeg-He's baaaaaaack! Spider-Invincible, he can only be defeated by using a Honey Girl Ghost-These move along a straight path. Shoot them and take them out Crow-he's back! Might be the item you get from shooting the secret areas in the wall. Don't let him get minnie! You start on the bottom-left of the castle. Head one screen right and clear out the room. Go up one screen by jumping over the ceiling and then land on the floor on the screen above. Clear those enemies out and go up another screen. You should find 2 ghosts on the bottom and a Prince on the top. Take out the ghosts and head right. You will see the boss's door on the upper section of the screen. But you need the key first. Go right one more screen and you will see 3 dragonflies and the key. Proceed to get the key, then head back left and back down to where you started. Now back one screen right from the start, head left at the top of the screen so you are on the upper part of the screen where you started. Head up several screens all the way to the top. Now head to the right. You will see PegLeg is back! If you need, go to the lower screen where PegLeg is and shoot the windows for cake and diamonds. Try to get a Honey Girl also. You can fight PegLeg with stars, but try to get a honey girl, and you can just touch him and take him out. When you get past PegLeg, you will find a screen with 2 spiders on it. Dodge them and go down one screen. You are now at the boss's door! You must have the key, so you have it right? Also, you need Minnie and Mickey, if Minnie was taken, you must get her back. If you go in alone, you will be transported out through the door in the room where you got the key and go all the way around the castle again. Make sure you got the key, and both Mickey and Minnie. Now go in. Queen Boss She will fire off loads of powerful bouncing rocks. The easy trick is to hit one of the rocks, and while you are still flashing, run through her and hug the wall. Make sure you are against it so she doesn't touch you. Now tap LEFT on the d-pad so you face her, but not too hard or you will move left and be touched by her. Now that you are facing her and not being hit, jump and shoot her in the back of the head until she is defeated. You just won!!!!!!!!! THE END! 3:TRICKS -Beat the Queen Easy Get a Honey Girl before you enter the Queens Room. When you enter, she will immediately fly away. Touch the queen before Honey Girl leaves. You just beat the queen already! (Castle Boss) -Beat PegLeg Easy Have Mickey walk just a little to the left of the ladder to PegLeg's Platform. Minnie should be lined up with the ladder. Hold up so Minnie climbs the ladder to the top. Notice Minnie is up top, but mickey is not. Now have Minnie walk right and she will not get hurt by the knives. Now fire at PegLeg's face until he is defeated. Easy huh? </copypaste> (Pirate Ship Boss) -Points galore! Get a Honey Girl and beat the PegLeg in the Castle. Now go past him and go to the next screen (to the spiders) Now go back left! You will find PegLeg is back, and you will touch him again for another 50,000 points! You can do this 5 or 6 times for 250,000-300,000 points! Make sure honey girl does not fly away on the spider screen, then you go back, or you will lose a life. Stop when you are sure Honey Girl will fly away soon. Get another Honey Girl and repeat this process. You can get 9,999,990 points! 4: 1-Ups Fun House-find a large window with shutters over it. Shoot the shutters and they will disappear, revealing a 1-up! Woods-Shoot one of the large flowers and you will reveal a 1-up! Castle-One of the princes is in a room with a hidden 1-up. Shoot the wall near him, and you should find that it has a hidden item. Get the 1-up!
