"Fun but repetitive"

Yie Ar Kung Fu is a fighting game made from Konami. You play as Lee, a guy with pink pants. Unfortunately, he is the only character you can play as.

Graphics - Pretty decent graphics for a game made in the 80s. The only things that bothered me was the weird expression on Lee's face.

Controls - Controls are pretty easy in this game. You press the B button to kick, and you press the A button to punch. To jump, you press up on the control pad. To crouch, you press down on the control pad.

Music - There's very little music in this game. One theme is played through out a round, and a very short theme when you win. The music sounds like it was from one of those Kung Fu movies. Gets annoying after a while.

Gameplay - Lee is up against five enemies. You fight each of them in rounds. They possess unique weapons and abilities, like the first opponent wields a pole, the second opponent has the ability to spit purple fireballs, and the third opponent has a long chain, and so on. Unfortunately, Lee possesses no weapons or abilities, so it makes the game more challenging.

This game could have been better if it had more rounds. Once you finish the first five rounds, plus the bonus stage, you have to fight the same opponents all over again, except they're tougher. This game also lacks a multiplayer mode. Would have been more fun to challenge your friends or enemies. If Lee had special moves or abilities, this game would be a lot more better.

Difficulty - The difficulty depends on which round you're on, or which opponent you're fighting. If you're fighting Wang, you're going to have a easy time beating him with enough practice. If you're fighting Chen, he's pretty tough for both beginners and experts.

Overall - This game is fun and kicks a lot of ass, but there's a lot more better fighting games out there. You'll still have a lot of fun with this game and I hope you do.
