"Another insane scrolling shooter, what's new? An invincibility code, that's what! Choose your difficulty..."

Wow look, a NES game where you fly across the screen and shoot stuff! This is revolutionary, why did they never try this before?! In case you didn't get my sarcasm, this game is a dime a dozen. Sure there are the few things that make it stand out, but probably not by a whole lot. Either way, it's an alright game, and it is satisfying enough. So ready for my review? Here we go:
-------
Synopsis: It's a side scrolling shooter much like 1942 and other games, only your scrolling horizontally most of the game. You're a spaceman shooting tons of crazy aliens and monsters, while navigating through what is supposed to be the inside of a giant living alien. And it pulls the old cliche of saving a princess, what else is new?
-------
Graphics: Wow, I really enjoyed the graphics for such an old Nintendo game. I thought both the levels and the monsters in this game were given great detail for a game made back then. I felt it was intricate, unique, and cool looking. Just enjoyable to look at for Nintendo standards back then, especially if you use the invincible code.
-------
Play Control: You move in all 2D directions and shoot, that's it. The only frustrating part about the controls is you either go too fast or too slow sometimes, which is important when getting hit once will make you restart the level.
-------
Game Design: Brilliant. The makers of this game did a good job making cool looking levels and enemies. That's the best thing about this game. Otherwise, it doesn't stand out a whole lot. But for it's level design and what not, I thought it was beautiful for the world of the old Nintendo.
-------
Satisfaction: I say mediocre for this one. Simply because of the difficulty. It would be a pretty fun game otherwise. You can basically just watch the levels scroll through on invincibility, or take several bottles of patience pills when playing this game. What I mean is that there is no medium challenge, making the game a downer in that sort. But otherwise, it's an all right game.
-------
Sound: It's typical techno-ish Japanese NES music. Kind of upbeat, battle like. Nothing memorable, especially over the constant shooting sounds you will hear, but it fits the game and wasn't obnoxious.
-------
Comments: You have to be one of those kids that is perfect at Dance Dance Revolution and super fast paced games to enjoy this game as there is a lot going on, on the screen, making it be difficult without fast reflexes. But once you get the hang of it and are halfway good at it, it's an okay game. It's mediocre.
-------
Ultimate Rating: 7/10
