"A Old yet still fun 2-D Shooter"

Contra is a Very Old game in the NES library, yet it is still remembered by most who have it today. Contra is a 2-D shooter for one or two players. It has some great graphics (for the NES) and it is very addicting and fun. Many sequels have been made, But in my mind the first is still the best. As for the sound, Not Much can be said, for no NES game can be said to have a "quality soundtrack" As for the replay value, I would say that it is huge, if you make it through the game that is. The game has a high difficulty level due to the fact that if you get hit ONCE then you die (which can be frustrating at times) This game is definately worth what you pay for it, at some places it can be for a very low price. It is a game that will always be remembered for being a great game in the NES library. Even if you are not a fan of shooters, If you have a NES I would reccomend renting this game or borrowing it from a friend if they have it. If you have Contra 3: The Alien wars for SNES, then you'll know what this game is like. This game actually convinced me to buy a NES!
