"Jackie Chan you say?"

If I asked Joe Average on the street what Jackie Chan is best known for the answer would undoubtedly be stunts. For those of you who don't know (yes all 5 of you) Jackie Chan is a Hong Kong action movie star known for his incredible stunts. This game was made quite a while before Jackie experienced major cross over success in 1994 (I think it was 94) with Rumble in the Bronx, therefore it never saw the light of day on our shores.

Getting back to Jackie Chan and his stunts leads me to this games greatest flaw - there are no stunts. Yes, that's right, absolutely no flashy stunts. As it stands the title 'Generic Kung Fu Action Game' is far more appropriate for this title. As 'Jackie', or 'Big-Headed Hero' as he appears to be, you have to beat on guys with swords, guys who breath fire, and flying bits of pipe (I don't know, don't ask). Frogs are beaten to reveal generic power-ups. Yes frogs.

In summary, this game has 'we bought the license well into development' written all over it. It's a decent action title, with surprisingly nice graphics for the NES, but it's no Rumble in the Bronx.
