"A Very Hard game made by Rare."

If you want to play a very fun game play Battletoads. If you want to play a very challenging game play Battletoads. If you want to play a game with very good graphics play Battletoads. If you want to play a very good 2player game play Battletoads. If you want to play a game that is not frustrating stay far far away from Battletoads. Battletoads is not for people that gets easily frustrated. My friend broke his controller slaming it against the tv this playing this game (Im serious). Though theres around 12 levels, everyone I know (and I do mean EVERYONE) gets to the third level and never plays it again. Its that damn hard. The first 2 levels are nothin, just wait till you reach the 3rd level. Well, on to the review.

Graphics - 10
One of the most impressive graphics for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). I just love the scaling effects Rare made. Everyone is well animated, and the bosses are very very cool. In the first bosses level you actually see through its eyes, so you see yourself in a wierd 3rd person camera.

Sound/Music - 8
Pretty good, but nothing noteworthy. The music is pretty good, and theres no annoying sound effects. Which can be both good and bad.....

Gameplay - 6
Why Rare? WHY?????????? This could of been one of the bet games ever made, but oh well. You might be wondering why I gave this category a 6. It has great graphics, very fun, challenging, good 2player, good sound, and nothing that bad (that I have mentioned yet......). Well, its only because of one tiny little thing. The game is too damn HARD!!!!!!!!!!! I never got passed the 9th level. And im pretty good at videogames if I do say so myself. The hardest game I have beaten (in my opinion) is Ghost and Goblins, and this game is about 2 times harder than that (now thats scary). If you have played that game you might think its impossible, but just wait till you play this.

Overall - 9
This could of been THE best game for the NES (yes, even surpassing the almighty Super Mario Brothers 3 and Megaman 2) but Rare had to go and ruin it. Oh well, maybe next time *sniff*.
