"Thank God Tony Hawk wasn't in this game. He looked really dorky in the 80s."

Game Play-
7/10

This game has a pretty interesting concept. You are a skateboarder and you must go around a town getting equipment and then participating in 4 events in a class, while avoiding dangers such as bikini-ladies throwing Frisbees, muscle-men standing in the street, hordes of bees, cars, and lakes. The four events are as follows: Half pipe, where you do limited tricks on a half pipe; Slalom, which is basically slalom skiing on dirt on your skateboard; Jump, where you jump off the ramp and do a gnarly trick; and Downhill, where you continuously jump off of hills. And you have to get to all these events in a limited amount of time. And as you progress through the classes, or stages, the time will run out faster and there will be more dangers, and the courses will be much harder.

Control-
6/10

If you have an NES Advantage controller, then controlling the game will be much easier. It seems to work better with an arcade stick. The tricks are kinda hard to pull off, but it’s otherwise fine. It will take a while to learn how to do tricks, though. And even when you learn how to do it right, you will still have about a 40% failure rate.

Audio-
9/10

I really liked the soundtrack in this game. It sounded so smooth and peaceful, and that’s an accomplishment for a skating game. The sound effects in this game were excellent too. Overall, this game has a pretty sweet soundtrack. And trust me, you will probably enjoy the soundtrack in this particular game.

Graphics-
5/10

The graphics in this game would’ve been good, had the colors not overlapped each other. The ramp and your character are basically the same color, and you would not notice it had it not been for the huge black outline. The objects in this game looked a little jagged, and the game seems to use the same bright color scheme.

Enjoyability-
7/10

I don’t know why, but I found this game to be quite addicting. It’s fun, and will somehow keep you hooked for a while. I think it’s weird how a game with so many faults can still be addicting.

Doodleheimer’s Recommendationitivity

It’s fun, and if you are a fan of skateboarding games, or sports games, then you should definitely get this particular game. You will probably not regret the purchase, but I make no guarantees on my statements.

Street Price-$4.99
