Ever stayed up late doing all those item quests and long dungeons just trying to find a save point so your last 5 hours of work were not for vain? Ever not gone 4 steps in a dungeon without getting in a random battle? Ever just said ''Screw this dungeon, NO, SCREW EVERY DUNGEON!''? This game is definitely for you. Play this game.

One of my favorite things about this game is it moves fast. You don't spend very long on one certain element. Of course, you are a hero who is supposed to save someone, and you get distracted many times, but those distractions move quickly. You do a quick objective pretty much, then you move on to the next thing.

Another great thing is while it is an rpg, it has a serious flair of those Zelda type live-action rpgs. Enemies just appear on the screen, like in Chrono Trigger or Breath of Fire III. Then, you can do assorted things via a menu like cast magic and whatnot. OR, you can just say I want complete control of my character. You then just walk up to the enemy and pummel them without mercy. This is very effective in taking away the frustration factor.

I am uncertain about the story line. Like I said, it is a simple game. No huge FFT style plot twists with a million-and-a-half people you have to remember when you got left behind right before the story really took off. I never pay attention to the plot. It has to do with some evil empire that captured some princess or some other cliched to death story line that no one gives a damn about.

The graphics and music needless to say suck. Please, don't play a game with incredible graphics like Metal Gear Solid or Final Fantasy VII before this. You will just be severely disappointed. Expect nothing much in this category, and it will not bother you!

My Final Thought This game isn't a technological masterpiece, the story is not well thought out, and it seems like some college kid slapped together in two weeks. But if you have read any of my other reviews, that doesn't bother me. I seem to like those games. Don't get me wrong, those 3-years-in-the-making games are great too, but I hold nothing against this game because it is not one of those. If you can look beyond all these factors, this game is fun, easy, and non-frustrating. You probably won't lose much sleep, but if you have playing other serious rpgs, this game is like a breath of fresh air. Just give this game a shot. Who knows? It might hook with you instantly like it did to me.
