Nintendo World Cup

"Soccer doesnt get better than this."

One of the very first soccer games and most likely one of the best. There are many teams to choose from all with a different special kick (a kick that makes the ball injure everyone in its path). You can use many tactics with the many positions to pick from. You need this game if you have a Nintendo Entertainment System.

Game play - You are a soccer player for the team of your choice. It is national leagues in a big competition for the World cup. You change the person you are by passing. You can tackle or use a pass, hard kick, and special kick. I give the game play a 9/10.

Graphics - For a NES game it looks great. All the characters seem to look overweight there are several different appearances for the players ( they don't all look the same). You play on several different locations and each has a lot of detail. I give the graphics a 8/10

Sound - The effects are great. The music is even better. Each of the teams has their own music and each one is very catchy. Russia's music is my favorite though. I give the music a 10/10.

Replay - This game you can pick up the controller and get in to it really quick. The multi player is very fun and is very entertaining. If you get tired of player on one setting in multi player you can change the environment to desert or ice. I give the replay 9/10

Controls - The directional pad moves you around as you would expect. A makes you pass or tackle. B makes you shoot or slide. A+B makes you do your special kick you have a limit of five per round. When you are Defensive A will make you tackle and B will make you slide. Offensive position A makes you pass and B makes you shoot. It is easy to learn and use effectively. I give controls 9/10.

Rent or buy? That is a question you might ask. I would say buy. Unless you don't like fun games. You do like fun games don't you? This game is 99 Cents at most used game stores. I don't think you could find it for rent anyway. If you get the two games in one it has a free volley ball game on it. Its not fun but it comes with it so that works out great. So you must buy this game.
