Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game

Review by DarkScorpion316

"Turtle Power rocks the streets of NYC"

What can be said that hasen't already been about TMNT? They had Classic game after classic game, TMNT, TMNT2, TMNT3, Tournament Fighters (SNES, NES, GENESIS), Turtles in Time, Several game boy series', TMNT on Genesis, a large collection of Toys, comics, 2 hit movies (3 i dont count cause no shredder or any evilions from the cartoon), several cartoon series', live action series, and school supplies feauting Turtles on them. I remember when I was 5 I would play this game hours on end at a friends house until I moved, which sadly was the last time I played it until a few years ago. Now, to get this game i traded Mike Tyson' Punch Out (but in the long run have both now thanks to ROMs and Emulators) so heres my review of Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles 2: The Arcade Game.

Graphics: 10/10 (*****)
Based on the Arcade Game, this game has great graphics. From the Foot clan, to bosses to the setting of each stage everything was done excellent. I can't think of one fault in this games graphics.

Plot: 8/10 (****)
You must save the city of New York from Shredder, Krang and their henchmen Rocksteady, Bebop and Baxter Stockman, along with other great characters.

Control: 10/10 (*****)
Easy commands, basically all slashing running, jumping and kicking. Great game for younger people who are new to video games.

Sound: 9/10 (****1/2)
IF I recall the turtles theme is in this game for the most part along with other good generic themes that blend well into the game, and doesn't distract the player from losing concentration.

Challenge: 5/10 (**1/2)
Nothing is too difficult here except for the final battles between Shredder & Krang's Android Body. The first 3-4 stages are fairly simple and I assume are meant to be practice stages.

Replay factor: 8/10 (****)
It's just one of those games you will never get tired of even the 100th time you beat it. The graphics are the main reason I was attracted to this game since TMNT 1 was not as good as people were hoping, and the style for 2 and on changed dramatically.

Overall: 10/10 (*****)
Everything is great here. It's fun, not too difficult unless you change settings, is fun for 2 players and is great for any TMNT fan.

Buy or Rent?
Deffinitly Buy it unless you REALLY hate the turtles that much then stay away from it, but I don't remember seeing anyone that hated them (except for its dying years).
