"This one will keep you going forever!"

If I'm right, many of you are fans of the Addams Family right? You know, the weird millionaire family that lives in a mansion? Well this is the game about it, and how you must play as Gomez Addams and take back the family fortune from Tully Alford, the lawyer. (Who'd want this guy for a lawyer?!) You must avoid falling swords, skeletons, ghosts, monsters, bats, rats, plants, falling bricks, birds, jellyfish, piranhas, spiders, and other enemies. Have a look at it.

Gameplay: 5/10
Gameplay in this game is pretty mediocre, except for the fact that Gomez has the WORST, I repeat WORST jumping ability! You'll see what I mean when you try to go through the Freezer. You don't anything in this game except jump around on objects and go through doors. That's basically all you need to do anyways!

Graphics: 6/10
The graphics in this game, believe it or not, are not really that bad. It gets a tad fuzzy in places, but otherwise, not too shabby at all. Most of the time, you can tell what's what.

Music: 8/10
The music for this game is quite good, except that I would have liked a few more tunes in it.

Difficulty: 9/10
This game is one of the hardest I have ever played for the NES, and I mean that. This game is HARD. Some examples are: You must have at least a million dollars and there isn't a million bucks hanging around in the house. There are several Secret Rooms to find, and a couple of them are in incredibly unusual places. Another example is in the Freezer, it is, of course slick in there, and it is nearly impossible to make a jump in there! You have to time it just right. But it is rewarding once you get to the end, because the final room is fun, but I wouldn't want to spoil it for you.

Conclusion:
I got this game when I was 8 in 1995, and I just now beat this game this year (2002). Most people who like Action games will like the Addams Family. It is a gem. The only thing you need with this game, as with most other games, is patience. You will NEVER beat this game without patience. That is the keyword for this game. Luck is another. Sometimes you'll get near the end, sometimes you won't get close. It just depends. I liked this game, I think you will too.
