The Last Ninja

"A dumb game that doesn't have a ninja feel."

My NES game collection had a lot of good games. Then it had some bad ones. I would consider The last Ninja to be a bad one.

Graphics- 6/10
The graphics are normal graphics, nothing special really. I have seen a lot better, like megaman 4 and super mario brothers 3. But they are still ok for the system.

Contols- 3/10 They can sometime get confusing. Battling people is bad. You can jump, but jumping is not as delightful as you think. It can be sometimes confusing and hard, if you are trying to cross a ledge or something. Using items can somtimes also be hard.

Gameplay- 1/10 This is where the game really stinks. First off you have a life bar, and when that goes down to 0, you lose a life. When you lose all of your lives you get a password. The bad thing is that the password is long. Another turnoff is the battling system, it not like a game like ninja gaiden, you hit people, but it is really dumb because it isn't like real fighting. There is no kicking involved, only punching and using your weapons. Another bad part of the game is the item system. You pick up some items, and you have to use them to advance on in the level. Some items could be easy to find, while others can be hard also using them in a level could be hard. There is a limited amount of weapons in this game, but you will want one because they are needed to fight off evil, and your hands won't do you nothing. As said above the controls could sometimes be confusing and bad, especially jumping. The only think that I liked about this game is the view. It isn't a overhead view, or a 2d sidescroller view, or a 3d view. you would have to see a picture to get a better idea on the view.

Final Comments- This game is bad and can sometimes be hard. If you saw this game for sale, look at the price, and see if there are any games better than it, because it stinks. It is only worth about 3 dollars at the most. The game is hard, and you will probably get very board of it because some parts require precise timing in your jumps and it is very easy to lose a life. If you are looking for a good ninja game, don't consider this one, because it is not good. I would rather choose a ninja gaiden game any day.
