NES Open Tournament Golf

"An amazing game that should be played and loved by all."

Nes tournament open golf is a golf game for people who do not like the “boringness” of golf. It features Popular characters, catchy music great sound effects, and believe it or not, a plot. The player will be Mario in single player mode that has a goal of winning a total of one million dollars throughout tournaments, match play, and some little “bonuses”. Now in two player mode player one will be Mario and player two will be Luigi, and it is playing for fun.

GAMEPLAY: 9/10 Now this is a very fun game to play, which sounds odd for a golf game. The Controls are rather simplistic, requiring just single button pushes but precise button pushes. A meter below Mario Is marked with small increments and the goal is to push a to start the meter, push a again at the desired power, then press a one last time on the bold line in the middle, the “sweet spot”.

GRAPHICS: 9/10 Very good graphics for a nes game, all backgrounds are well done, characters are well done, and menu screens are also nice looking. The fluid motions of the characters swings are very good.

SOUND: 7/10 The sound was well done but I personally found it to be a little tinny. Yes it is a nes game so a little tin in the sound is expected but there was a little more that usual. The sound effects though were done great. From the smack of the club to the the sound of the ball dropping on the ground the sound effects were done great.

REPLAYABILITY: 8/10 Very easy to get hooked on and to be found frequently relaying the game. Scores could always be lowered, you could handicap your self and let the computer win the first few holes in match play, or you could always just go for that million dollars again. Multiplayer is also a really fun feature, and if you get some friends together, get a piece of paper, and make a tournament, a lot of fun could be had and also some time could be killed.

STORY: 8/10 I am giving it a lot of credit just because it has a plot and that is an innovative concept in a golf game. The story is a little shallow, play golf, win money, reach a million dollars, but at least it has a story.

In conclusion this game is a very fun and innovative golf game and should be played by all, even those who do not like golf. This game is definitely a buy because it’s a great game and it could most likely be found extremely cheap. I say it is a game that definitely needs to be bought.
