"Darkwing Duck on the NES vs F.O.W.L = No contest."

For people who don't know, this game was made after the Disney cartoon show Darkwing Duck that aired in the early 90's. It was a great show, so you'd think that it would have a great game too. Let's see how good it is.

STORY - 8

In this game Darkwing Duck (D.W.) is called by J. Gander Hooter to stop the organization F.O.W.L and it's agents from a crime spree in St. Canard. It's not that ''Great'' of a plot, but it works for this game pretty nicely.

Gamplay - 8

In this game you can get three different Special Gasses for your Gas Gun, The Thunder, Arrow, and Heavy Gas. Each one does something different. Your cape can be use to block some enemy's shots. You can also go to BONUS AREAS to obtain items. So everything is prety solid. The one thing I didn't like was that this game is alittle too much like Mega Man, but it's still great.

Graphics - 9

The Graphics are great in this game. Everything is clear and colorful. But when D.W goes on the moving platform his body gets unclear, that's my only complant.

Controls - 6

D.W does everything great, but very shoots very slow and he cannot shoot up! I hate That! Also I think that how they had D.W hang on objects was not the greatest. The controls can get confusing at times.

Sounds/Music - 8

The sounds and music in this game were good, they were beter than other games, but they could of been better, like D.W's gun and they used that stupid sound after an enemy dies like the other Disney games.

I give this game an 9. It's a very fun game, but a short one it is. And some parts in each level are really hard to master for a first time, you have to do it again and agian and again untill you've got the hang of it.
Difficulty Meter

A 7 is good to give this game. Some enemy's are so bunched together that you are unable to leave that area unscathed unless you master it first. Also the Bosses are hard at first when you just get the game, but becomes easier after you see what they do and what their weaknesses are.

Replay Value - 7

You really don't have to play this game again, but it's fun!
So if your a Darkwing Duck fan this game can never get old.

This game is fun, challenging, and great for anyone who wants to play a great game for the NES.
