"Step forth."

Iron Sword: Wizards and Warriors 2 was produced by Rare . Its part of the Wizards and Warriors series. There were three games made. The other two being Wizards and Warriors and Wizards and Warriors 3 Visions of Power.

Story
The evil wizard Makil has stationed himself in the land of Sindarin and is back again causing trouble. This time he is packing the power of 4 elements. Earth, Wind, Water and Fire. You must gather the peices of the Iron Sword, put it together and defeat him. 10/10

Gameplay
Iron Sword:Wizards and Warriors 2 is a 2d adventure that will take you through 10 levels that are similar to the element theme. For example the first level is a mountain level. That would deal with the Element of Earth. The gameplay is tricky. You have to make use of the attack button and jump button to avoid the sometimes very quick enemies that are in this game. Along the way there will be places to purchase new armor, weapons and life in the form of food. You will also be able to find spells of all sorts along the way. Each of them does something different. At points in the levels you may have to give something to a special character in order to get through. This adds to gametime because you have find it. 10/10

Graphics
You get some nice graphics in this game. The character looks like a knight. He is not tall looking but he is fighting animation makes him look top notch. He moves his arms to swing at enemies and can duck like in a sword stance. It looks good. He is a light gray color. The enemies are done in the style of level henchmen. They are weird looking, small and mean, or large and mean. They look good in their design with animations being correct for flight or ground attacking. The color of the enemies varies. There are about 23 different types of enemies in this game. The levels are huge. They use all sorts of colors for inside and out. To show dimension they used background 2d to the max and putting squares on top to represent somewhere that you can stand. 10/10

Sound
One of the best parts of this game is the sound. Specifically the music. The opening theme is still one my favorite Nintendo Game themes. It has a style that can give you image of a knight stepping forth. Its heavy and deep in the very beginning then blends with a medieval style and back to marching beat. The stage music is great too. It also tries to tie in with the element being represented in the stage. Character sound is good. You have the swishing of the character moving and attacking. 10/10

Controls
Difficult to master for a beginner with the way enemies are in this game. Its best to make good use of the attack and jump buttons with enemies that surround you. You have one attack button, jump button and control pad to direct your jump. 8/10

Replay-Ability
You can play this game and try to good at it and then try to beat it for your friends. You can also play just for a great time because thats what it can give.
10/10

Final Reccomendation
Find it now before copies of it get it too hard to find. Its a true classic.
