1.0: A little bit about me!
Who am I? I'm just another 16-year-old nerd from Denmark, who've decided to
do some "in-depth" faqs for some of my favourite games! This is only the 2.
FAQ I've published, so it may be a little crappy, who knows? Anyways, on with
the FAQ!

                             ******************
1.1: Contact Information.
You can contact me, through my email at peter_brichs@hotmail.com. If you want
me to read it, please do put Wild Arms 3 as the subject, or else I won't even
bother to read it.
I will reply to questions about Secret Garden, and on emails written in Danish
or English. That's the languages I understand fully. I speak a little German
(and I mean - a LITTLE), some French (But I can't write it) and close to none
Spanish.
You are also welcome to mail me with additional information, or to correct my
grammar/way of spelling.
Oh yeah, if there's something you would like to comment about, feel free to do
that as well. It's my first FAQ after all.

And, if you want to be sure that I'll answer you, please feel free to
add me to your messenger, it's the same email I use normally :)

2.0: What is this?

This is a FAQ for getting every single EX-File key in Wild Arms 3. Why you
would want that? Because these keys unlock speciel features in the game!
What they unlock? I'll tell you!

Number of keys|What they do
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
    1 Key |See character status.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
2 Keys |Ex New Game. With this, you get to keep all the money and EXP
              |you had, when you completed the game. You also get to keep
              |your Sheriff Stars, which is a very nice gear.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
4 keys |You get to watch different versions of the quitting movie.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
8 keys |You get to watch different versions of the starting movie.

Please note that you can't get all 4 options unlocked, just because you have
8 keys. You need to "buy" these options, and therefore you need 15 keys in
order to unlock all options. If you want to get 4 Sheriff Stars, I suggest
you don't get more than 2 keys the first 3 times you complete the game,
in order to shorten time wasted :)

Jet/Cloud says:
This might help. Techinally you only need 8 ex keys. After you unlock a feature,
just exit out of the menus and come back, you'll have all your keys back!
Thank Jet/cloud for that piece of useful information!

NOTE: I guess I forgot to add this little piece of information:) How to use
the keys! When you've completed the game, you get the choice to make an
EX-File-save! And when you've done that, you can open the save, in order to get
to the menu...

2.1: Useful Items!
Stuff you might want to get before starting this FAQ:
Teleport Orb! It saves you alot of time travelling from town to town.
Obtained from Millennium Puzzle #14!
Lombardia! She's absolutely necessary if you want to fight alot of the places
in the game anyways!
Tracker! Gives you floornumbers in all dungeons. I'll use this to tell you
where stuff is in Dungeons... Obtained from Millennium Puzzle #10
Gold License! See section 10.1
*****************************************************************************

3.0: Martina Sidequest!

Here, I will explain how to help Martina find her mother, Mileux. If you can't
remember Martina, then she is the girl in the inn at Claiborne, who lives with
her evil aunt. At some point in the game, she disappears, actually, it's right
after you've visited Ka Dingel.

                             ******************

3.1: The quest!

Okay, as a starters this is going to be very expensive (in gella) unless you
have Lombardia and/or Teleport Orb. Actually, it's impossible to do without
Lombardia, because you need to be able to fly to get to the town where Mileux
is located. When you have Lombardia, we can bagin (well you can begind before,
but... I'll tell you when you absolutely NEED Lombarbia, okay?)

First of all, go to Inn in Claiborne. Talk to Myra. She should hopefully
tell you that Martina is gone. If she doesn't, talk to Martina, and leave. Try
to go back, and if Martina is still there, continue the game for awhile. Then
come back later! When Martina is finally gone, it's time to go to
Westwood Station! Speak to Martina, and leave the station. If she's still
there, talk to her a couple of times. When she's gone, go to some Inn where you
can sleep, because MArtina doesn't just show up at the next location
immedeatly... She needs to travel, just like you :) Anyways, when you've slept
(I recommend going to Baskar Village or Humphreys Peak, it's free to sleep
there!)

Now go to Little Rock, and inside the Inn there. Talk to Martina a couple of
times, untill she says the same every time. The leave town, and go back in to
see if she's still there. If she's gone, go to sleep again.
Then go to Little Twister. Go to the Sheriff's office, and she should be
standing outside. Talk to her like last time. Then go outside, back in, and
sleep (If she's gone. If not, talk to her again, like usual).

Go to Humphreys Peak, and enter Cheville's House, and talk to both Cheville and
Martina a couple of times. Then go out of the town, and go back into the town.
Now MArtina and Cheville should both be outside of the house.
Talk to both of them again. Then go out, and back in. If Martina's gone, go to
sleep again (It's also free to sleep in Clive's house, so do that).

Now go to Jolly Roger! She should be inside the Inn. Talk to her, leave town,
and go back in. If she's gone, then go to sleep a couple of times (she never
reappeared the first time for me, so that's why i went to sleep a couple of
times :))

NOTE: You need Lombardia for the next couple of places!

Now go to Ballack Rise (Clive's prologue). If you haven't been there yet, the
coordinates are X:11890 Y:14179. When you've found it, go inside, and hopefully
Martina should be talking to a boy right inside the town. Talk to her, and she
should give him a flower (aww :D), and then leave, go back in, and rest up
(if she's gone). Now it's time to go to Laxisland! Inside Laxisland, go to the
Inn, and go upstairs. Hopefully Martina should be standing by a bed, with
Mileux lying in it.

Now go back to Humphreys Peak, and talk to Cheville. Now go back to Laxisland,
go to second floor of Inn, and talk to everyone. Now this next part is a little
strange, some people says it takes a long time to initiate, but for me it
happened after I'd slept 2 times... Anyways, sleep some times, and go back to
Laxisland (see why I said the Teleport Orb was usefull?). Talk to everyone a
lot of times, and then Mileux should say that you are welcome at her Inn,
which is the Inn in Claiborne! Now go back to Claiborne, and go the the Inn.
In the Inn, talk to Martina, and you should get an EX File Key.

-#Sidequest Completed#=- - 1 EX-File key in total!

                          ***********************

3.2: Martina skipping places!

Today I took another save-game from my first play-through of the game.
I hadn't completed this sidequest, so I wanted to do it now, to see if my FAQ
was good enough. Well, I clearly remember that the only place I saw Martina
was at Westwood station. Now she appeared at Humphreys Peak, completely
skipping the other steps... Any info (anybody else that has tried this,
have an explenation, etc.) on this would be appreciated!

The theory on this is, that when you advance through the game, Martina
might just move herself, because she might be tired of waiting? Or maybe, it
is when you've completed a town completely (eg, you would have no reason,
storywise, to go back to that town), then Martina might move on. I don't know.
Still, more info on this would be appreciated! Again, thanks to Cloud/Jet
for opening my eyes for this possibility.

*****************************************************************************

4.0: Secret Garden
This EX-File Key you'll get when you've breeded every plant in the Secret
Garden 100%... Everytime you breed a plant, you sacrifice one of the same
plant, if you have one in your inventory. The number of plants you need to
sacrifice varies from plant to plant. See the table underneath to see how many
plants of each type you need to sacrifice in order to get this EX-File Key!

Plant | Number of plants you need to sacrifice, in order to breed 100%
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Heal Berry | 30
Revive Fruit | 40
Potion Berry | 50
Holy Root | 60
Mega Berry | 70
Mini Carrot | 80
Full Carrot | 90
Tiny Flower | 95

Look at my other FAQ (Secret Garden FAQ, situated on www.gamefaqs.com) for
more info on this quest!

2 EX-File Keys in total!
*****************************************************************************

5.0: Sunset Peak
Sunset Peak is an abandoned railway station. In order to get there, you need
the Teleport Orb, which you can get from Millenium Puzzle #14. And don't start
mailing me, asking how to complete this, there is another FAQ on gamefaqs.com
that covers this very well.

                          ***********************

5.1: The Quest!
Go to Southfarm station. Buy a ticket for East Highlands. Before you board
the train, chat with Tony (The man who you also talk to, when you wish to
depart, only this time, choose the bottom option). When you get off the train,
you'll be at a completely empty station (hopefully). Run into the clock to make
an EX-File key fall down. While you are here, run outside, and run a little
west, to X:6528, Y:11301, and search around there to get a Migrant Seal.

-#Sidequest Completed#=- - 3 EX-File keys in total!

*****************************************************************************

6.0: Optional Bosses that has Keys...

Some bosses carries EX-File Keys, and you have to defeat them in order to
obtain these keys. There is one or two exceptions though.. I'll tell you
about it when I write about it!

6.01: Finest Arts

Finest Arts is the ultimate attack. If you want to get it, you need the
Violator Gear. You can find this in a chest dim root path. Or steal from
Vodianoi in the abyss (levels 31-60). You also need the Comet Mark.
This you get when defeating Kraken in Little Twister (go to Well, use
[Kramer Dolls], and make sure you have equipped Water Rings. He's also
allergic to water, altough he lives in a well, stupid monster).

This is Courtesy of SSj7CloudS! Thanks dude!

"listen up, I'm going to post them so no one else has to.

Finest Arts- deals 4 unarmed hits and the last one
is your current level times 1000. you MUST have 100fp
to do the last hit.

As for arms there's a few ways to do it

Virginia: -10 in Wgt and 5 in Blt
Jet: 10 Sht and 5 Crt OR 15 Sht
Clive: 15 Sht
Gallows: 10 sht, 5 Hit or vice-versa"

This was Courtesy of SSj7CloudS! Thanks dude!

                             ******************

6.1: Adult Mag
Well, these bosses doesn't have a Ex-File Key himself, but you do need to
defeat them in order to get a piece for the "Adventure"-sidequest.
You can find him in the Leyline Observatory. Go to the 3rd floor, and find
the book that needs a duplicator to unlock. You must be 18 years old.. I
mean, you must have a Migrant Level of at least 18 to fight them. Just make
Gallows has Fiery Rage invoked, and give him a Full Carrot, then summon.
Also, if you want to be sure you'll defeat them in one turn, be around lvl
90, and then make Gallows have Weakness as well. When they're dead, you get
Adventure #10. See 7.0: Adventure Sidequest for more information about this.

                             ******************

6.2: Arioch
He's in the Den of Miasma, which is Clives prologue... To fight this guy,
you'll need Gallow's tool [Kramer Dolls]. He's in a secret room. Look for
a crack in the wall, and bomb it. In this room, there should be a hologram-ish
thingy. Stand in front of this, and use the [Kramer Dolls]. A battle should
begin. Complete this battle, and 99 more in order to get the EX-file key.
They are very easy. Just concentrate your fire on one! Anyway, some people
have mailed me, and asked why they weren't attacked more than one time... You
have to be running around in a dungeon before it attacks. sometimes, they make
an ambush, sometimes they attack using a white "!", sometimes a green "!",
sometimes they attack like any boss-battle, without a "!"... You can only do this
in dungeons, btw. No use running arond on the worldmap for hours, waiting for
Arioch to attack!
NOTE: If you can't find "Den of Miasma", the coordinates are: X:11968, Y:16940.

Additional info from Shattercone (thanks):
I've been working on this sidequest too, and think I have it figured out. The
exp and gella received for each ariochs (scan them and press triangle button
to look at their stats) = what number you're on now (i.e. 5 xp and 5 gella =
you're on your 5th group of ariochs). The hp of each ariochs increases fairly
quickly, and as far as I can tell, goes up several 100 points for each group
you kill.

The best way to get them (at least the way I use) is to fly (not teleport
and fly) between the Gob's Hideout (Virginia's first level), Fallen
Sanctuary (place where you get the guardians), and Doomed to Obscurity
(Jet's first level). I usually fight only 5-6 battles in each level, and
if I don't get an ariochs within this arbitrary limit, I move on to the
next level. I've been averaging about 20-25 ariochs an hour, meaning I
usually get an encounter after 1-3 battles in each level. I've found if
you don't get an ariochs encounter by 5-6 battles, you can fight as many
as 20 battles before another appears in that area, but if you move to
the next level, you usually get one right away. So far I'm on number 50,
and have only spent 2-2.5 hours on getting this EX-file Key.
That was from Shattercone :) Thanks dude!
                             ******************

6.3: Bad News
If you want to fight this dude, you must complete Gunners Heaven... When
you've beated all of the leagues, go talk to Lord Begucci. When you've
defeated Emperor Marduk, go find Bad News. He'll challenge you. Accept :P
He casts Confusion and Amnesia. He always counter your attacks with a powerful
counter attack (can't remember name...). He can also heal himself, but just
continue to use Finest Arts, that should get him! Another EX-File key is yours!

6.4: Balal Quo Naga
You remember Balal Quo Naga, the dude you defeated in order to obtain one of
the guardian idols? Well, you can fight him once again! You need Lombardia in
order to activate this battle...
Go to X:5490, Y:3930 in the middle of the ocean of sand. There should be some
kind of rockformation, that looks like a loop. Shoot it ([R2]) until the sand
begins to "boil". Now, go to sandcraft and sail into the "boiling" sand, and
the battle should begin. Just make sure that you have Ark Smasher (best
cannon, can be bought for 50 Dragon Fossils). "Move to advantegous position"
and then "fire all ammo at once"... that should do the trick! Now you get an
EX-File Key! Yay!

                             ******************

6.5: Black Box
You can find him in Fortune Gear. In order to battle him, you must find and
open 319 chests. He tells you how many chests you already have opened. Equip
Dark Rings, and make sure you have gallows cast "extension + shield". He has
a pretty powerful physical attack, to make sure you can heal as well. Just
use Finest Arts on him a couple of times. Ex-File key is now yours! Whoopdee!

                             ******************

6.6: Nega filgaia
The last form of this last boss also has an EX-file key. This one is one you
have to steal. So, make sure your luck is good (or, just use "Hox Pox"), and
then try to pickpocket him! Hopefully, you should get the key!

                             ******************

6.7: Ragu O Ragla
This guy's located at the last and first level of the Abyss (Located at X:25218,
Y:10209. You need to walk alot in order to get there...). The first time you
battle him you get a Sheriff Star. On your way out again, he'll attack you again,
and after you defeat him this time, you'll get a EX-File Key.
This guy isn't as easy as any of the other bosses in the game. For the first
battle, make sure that you have fire rings for everyone. It'll make the battle
bearable. Just cast all protective/enhancing Arcana that you might have,
because his physical attacks are very powerful. If you attack him with magic,
he'll use a very powerful non-elemental magic, so just use Finest Arts all the
time. he has 750,000hp. He'll give you Sheriff Star (ultimate gear).

The second battle is a lot harder. This time he uses all kinds of elemental
magic, so you'll need all elemntal wards! Just cast all protective Arcana.
He's very strong, so just make alot of Finest Arts, and use full carrots on
the person who needs to do the attacking. He has excactly 999.999 HP (Thx
Jet/Cloud), so this battle will take a while! When you've defeated him,
you'll get the EX-File key!

9 EX-File Keys in total!

7.0: Adventure Sidequest
Maybe you have noticed that you have some books in your inventory, named
"Adventure #1", "Adventure #2" etc? Well, these are used for a Sidequest!
You need to find all 11 of them, and read them to Clives Daughter in
Humphreys Peak, in order to get the Ex-File key!

7.1: Locations
Adventure #1: Talk to Clives daughter, as Clive, the first time you are in
               Humphryes Peak.
Adventure #2: Floor 8 in Fortune Gear.
Adventure #3: Go to Infinitum. In Floor 5 take Clive with Mighty Gloves and
move the four blocks stacked away from the wall. Now bomb the
crack. In next room, it is in a chest!
Adventure #4: Enter the Nidhogg Pass you find at X:3311, Y:21815. In Floor 3
press [circle] to tiptoe over the bridge. When you are above the
plateau underneath, walk normally. Across the bridge, but halfway
let go of sneaking button. When you are on the plateau, open the
door with Duplicator. Open chest in next room to obtain this
               Adventure book!
Adventure #5: In The Worlds Footprint, defeat the bosses "Scarecrow,
               Steamgear and Squal... Leonhardt.
Adventure #6: In Fila Del Fia! Go to Floor 6. Tiptoe to the other side of the
room. Find 4 white gems, and bomb here to gain acces to new
               room. In here it is!
Adventure #7: Dim Root Path. Go to Floor 13. It's in one of the chests! But
beware, my game has a glitch, I couldn't reenter this
dungeon... Just try to get it the first time around...
Adventure #8: Go to Demondor Pillar: Rear! In Floor 13, use Steady Doll to
               open chest.
Adventure #9: Go to Mimir's Well. In Floor 8, use Duplicator on the first door
               to the East.
Adventure #10: Defeat Adult Mag. See section 6.1 for more info.
Adventure #11: When you have the other 10 adventures, go to Humphreys Peak
again. Talk to Catherine (Clive's Wife) and select Chat. You'll
               get the last magazine!

Now read all of them to Clives Daughter (Enter "Items" and use them, when
standing in front of her). You only need to read the first page, but if you've
played Wild Arms 2, you might want to read them, since I've been told that they
concern some character from WA2 (Marivel)...

Once you've read all of them, you'll recieve the key from Kaitlyn (Clive's
Daughter)

8.0: Telepath Towers
If you've bought the Map Screen, you may have noticed a section that says
"Telepath Towers". You might wonder what this is, right? Well, it's another
sidequest! Yepiiee!! Some people say that you need to do this quest before doing
Deus Ex Machina (Last dungeon in Chapter 3), but I didn't do it until WAY later
(almost at the end of Chapter 4)... maybe it's because I have the PAL version?
Any info on this would be appreciated! Anyways, in order to start this quest
you need to go to Laxisland and talk to Roswell. Ask him everything, if he says
some stuff about UFO's (actually, I didn't do this either, but everyone says
you have to do it, so I might as well post this here). Then (now this part I
did do) go to Ark of Destiny. In here you need to use Grappling Hook in the
Library, in order to get to 2nd floor. Up here, read the book
"Lemuria & Mu Monthly". CLEAR info on how to start this quest would be
appreciated!

Okay, some more info about starting this quest:

Credits again go out to Cloud/Jet
The telepath tower quest has to be started in chapter 3, and it must be before
you go into the cradle of metal gods, but, it has to be done well after
you get Lombardia.
Thx Cloud/Jet... But the thing is, I didn't fo it until way into
chapter 4... And I believe that's because I have the PAL version! So, the
theory is, that if tyou have the PAL version, the "time barrier" might have
been altered, or removed completely!

8.1: Locations & attacks!
All towers use status chaning attacks. I'll write the attacks they use next to
their locations!

Tower: | Location: | Status-attacks

                   | | Tranquilizer - Causes Paralysis
Telepath Tower #14 | X:15300, Y:4800 | Numb Light - Causes Amnesia
                   | | Noxious Stream - Causes Disease
                   | | Harmful Wave - Causes Poison
                   | | Melancholic Ray - Causes Misery
Telepath Tower #15 | X:5850, Y:12900 | Hypnotizer - Causes Sleep
                   | | Tranquilizer - Causes Paralysis
                   | | Psychedelicor - Causes Confusion

                   | | Radious Breath - Causes Fallen

In addition to their status Attacks, all of the towers have a weak physical
attack, called "Hyperion Beam".

8.2: Instructions
Okay, before you start travelling from place to place, you need some
instructions! After defeating 6 towers, you will fight Creeping Chaos, a
monster that has every status-change (except fallen) in one attack, so you
might want to get some status wards!
After destroying 10 towers, the Creeping Chaos monster will be a normal
encounter in the field. After destroying all 15 towers, you'll get a
chance to destroy tower #0. Some people claim that this is an optional
fight, I don't know, I just did it :) Use the "Teleport Orb" to get to
Boot Hill, and take the Sandcraft from beach North of Boot Hill.
Go North, and you should see yet another beach. Get off, and search around
here. At X:15550, Y:2450, you should find tower #0. It attacks with all the
status changes of the other towers.
Now, take the sandcraft, and sail around abit. Engange in battles, and
some of these battles should be against UFO's. after 5 of these, you should
get a message. Now it's time to battle in the air. Get to Lombardia, and fly
around, and engage in some battles. After 20 battles you'll recieve yet
another message. Now, fly some more, and the next battle should hopefully be
the mothership. Defeat this, and you'll get yet another EX-File Key!

-=#Sidequest Completed#=- 11 EX-File Keys in total!

*****************************************************************************

9.0: Millennium Puzzles
Okay, what are these you might ask? These are some big puzzles. For more info
on these check out the Millennium Puzzle FAQ on www.gamefaqs.com. I couldn't have
done it without that FAQ, and I can't be arsed to rewrite everything HE
wrote (and it would be morally wrong to steal somebody elses work)!

-=#Sidequest Completed#=- 12 EX-File Keys in total!

*****************************************************************************

10.0: Black Market
If you want to get to the Black Market (and I know you do!) you must go to the
Caging Tower. In the Caging tower you must take the elevator from floor 11 to
floor 1, and in here is a chest where you can find "Black Pass".
Now go to Little Twister, and go into house next to Sheriffs Office. Turn the
wheel, and exit through the door you just opened. Out here, go backwards, pick
up the box, and throw it away. Now, go all the way behind the fence (but no
too far away from it - you might exit the town if you do), and all the way,
until you are next to the Arms shop. Here there should be a door. Enter, and
go downstairs. Here, use the Black Pass (from inventory) and enter door. Talk
to ugly dude behind the desk, and buy the key for 9,999,999 Gella if you have
it. If not, come back later. And no, you can not buy all 15 keys here, he
only sells one!

10.1: Gold License
Good idea - Wait until you obtain the Gold License before you
buy this, it will reduce the price to 4,999,999. Gold License is an item, that
halves all prices in every shop. Very useful for Black Market.
In order to obtain this, you must go to Dissection Facility. In the room where
you need to move 2 big blocks and galecrest across the big gap, move one block,
and you should reveal an entrance. In here, there is a hologram. Prepare (make
sure you have dark rings for all), and then use [Kramer Dolls], and fight him.
When he's dead, you should get Gold License!

-=#Sidequest Completed#=- - 13 Ex-File Keys in total!

*****************************************************************************

11.0: 100% Map
Well, if you get to see the map 100% (meaning no grey areas on map screen), you
can get yet another EX-File key! To do this you must find "Uncle Gob"! How to
do this?

This is Courtesy of SSj8CloudSt - Thanks dude!
In Humphrey's Peak, go under the bridge, go ALONG the wall, and keep pushing
the control pad as if you were going to talk into it, eventually you will
and then just hit the talk button for a minute, then you'll talk to him.
That was Courtesy of SSj8CloudSt - Thanks dude!

-=#Sidequest Completed#=- - 14 Ex-File Keys in total!
*****************************************************************************

12.0: Yggdrassil Area
For this key you need Item Checker from Gunners Heaven (the same one needed
to find Lion Idol). Now, go to Greenlodge Area (area around Yggdrassil), and
search at X: 5899, Y:17750. Now you should have all 15 EX-File keys! Go you!!!

*****************************************************************************
