Kingdom Hearts Strategy Guide The Destiny Islands are a beautiful paradise where children's laughter abounds. Day after day, Sora, Riku and Kairi talk and dream of new places, new worlds beyond their islands. They ponder the usual questions that adolecents do-about the world outside, about their own existence. Little do they know a great destiny awaits them. One stormy night, a terrible darkness invades the Destiny Islands. Thus, does their journey begin... Sora awakens in another world, in a place called Traverse Town. his hopes of seeing new worlds are realized, but his friends Riku and Kairi are nowhere in sight. Meanwhile, Donald and Goofy have also arrived in Traverse Town. They have come from Disney Castle in search of a "key" and it's owner. Their king, who has mysteriously disappeared, has left them a cryptic message: "Now, there's somebody with a 'key'-the key to our survival... We need that key." What is happening to this world? The "somebody" mentioned by the missing king turns out to be Sora. To find Kairi and Riku, Sora joins Donald and Goofy and embarks on an epic journey. Some of the things aren't there yet, but they will be soon. 1.10 Tuesday, December 03, 2002 9:39:35 PM Version 0.09 Went to the movies today and saw 8 Crazy Nights. But, still had time to add some new stuff. I started working on Hollow Bastion Part 2 and completed the new Table of Contents. 1.11 Wednesday, December 04, 2002 12:40:21 PM Version 0.10 Stayed home sick because of the movies today, too much popcorn. Anyways, I finished up Hollow Bastion Part 2. 1.12 Thursday, December 05, 2002 6:33:21 PM Version 0.11 Today I did the End of the World section of the game and yes, that means that the story portion of this FAQ/Walkthrough is done with! 1.13 Saturday, December 14, 2002 Version 1.0 My first submission to GameFAQ/Walkthroughs. The story portion of the game is done and so are a couple of the extra things. I'm just working on finishing the extra stuff now. 1.14 Tuesday, December 17, 2002 Version 1.1 I updated the FAQ/Walkthrough today by putting in the Song Lyrics, the Sephiroth and Ice Titan fights, and the credits. 1.15 Friday, December 20, 2002 Version 1.20 Ergh! My file for this guide got messed up! It looked like it's format was converted, so now I'm messed up. I had updated it yesterday, but I forgot what I updated, so I can't redo it! So, I'm stuck redoing things I've already done. 1.16 Wednesday, December 25, 2002 Version 1.40 Merry Christmas! I got Socom, so I'll be playing that alot from now on. Today I did the 100 Acre Woods portion of the FAQ/Walkthrough. I also added in some Quest Items. 1.17 Thursday, December 26, 2002 Version 1.45 I've added a Corrections section in until I get around to putting the corrections in the FAQ/Walkthrough itself. Another update to GameFAQ/Walkthroughs! 1.18 Friday, December 27, 2002 Version 1.50 With the help of JillV, I have created a Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix FAQ/Walkthrough section. Check it out. It's not that easy to navigate right now, it's mostly a cut and paste job for now till I have completed all of it. 1.19 Monday, December 30, 2002 Version 1.55 Today, I finally finished all of the Items! Thank God that's all done. I answered some FAQ/Walkthroughs and put them in. Due to a couple of peoples' wild imaginations and their intent to see that this FAQ/Walkthrough is NEVER, EVER completed, they suggested that I put in the Ansem's reports. Instead of posting each report like they are presented in the game, I've just posted all of them together, when a new report begins, the first word is CAPPED. I also added a CHALLENGES!!! section. If you choose to take place in a challenge and you want to let me know you completed it, please submit a gamesave so I can see it. I am about to start my own challenge of going through the game on EXPERT taking less than my old score of 2709 hits. Ouch...that's a lot of hits! 1.20 Tuesday, December 31, 2002 Version 1.60 Today I did the Magic Spells and Summons list and I did the Dalmation list. I'm getting closer and closer to completing this! Yay! 1.21 Thursday, January 02, 2003 Version 1.70 Happy New Year! Today I did the Kurt Zisa and Phantom battles. Then, I did the Olympus Cups, except for the Pegasus Cup and Hades Cup. I also put in the Solo and Timed Cups help. Then, finished up the day with some Challenges, the Postcard Locations in the Tips section and an update to the Final Mix FAQ. 1.22 Friday, January 03, 2003 Version 1.75 Finally, a friend of mine spent the time getting the Rare Truffle items. I updated those and when I did the Synthesis Items, I noticed my Item List was wrong. I incorrectly posted that there are Frost, Thunder, Blaze, Power and Spirit Crystals. There is no such items. I'm sorry for posting that. The thing is, no body noticed it but me! 1.23 Monday, February 24, 2003 2:16:50 AM Version 1.80 Sorry everyone, but my computer is completely broken, meaning that I cannot type up a new version unless I come to my friend's house, and I am not going to spend hours doing that at a friend's house. As soon as my PC is fixed, the updates will start again, other than that, sorry. Someone was kind enough to volunteer to make a Hades Cup FAQ, and I'll post that in here next time I'm over at a friends, so until we meet again, take care and I hope you enjoy the FAQ. I also posted all the websites that can use my FAQ. Voila! 1.24 Sunday, March 23, 2003 3:32:15 AM Version 1.81 A new website added in and deleted my Yahoo email. I will only reply to Hotmail email, that's all. More bad news folks, my PS2 busted too. So, I have to get my PC and PS2 repaired before I can do anything here. 1.25 Monday, March 31, 2003 3:49:47 PM Version 1.85 Finally, after what seems to be the longest time, will be an actual update! Yay! Here we go folks, I put in the levels you learn abilities today with the help of ROMANS1017@aol.com aka Ashley, thanks Ash! I might update some other stuff this week too, because I'm staying at a friends and can update, so live on, Kingdom Hearts FAQ! 1.26 Sunday, May 30, 2004 10:01:26 AM Ver. 1.9 Okay, maybe this time Gamefaqs will actually post my submission change. There are many ways to contact me, so if you need additional help, or you have some corrections, or if ya just wanna say "hello" you can...just to warn you though, I never will check my Yahoo! email now, so if you email me, try to email me at my Hotmail account. WALKTHROUGH Just a quick little note here, I'm playing this on the NORMAL game setting. The strategy guide will work for the EXPERT setting, except for that enemies are alot stronger, dealing around twice as much damage as their NORMAL setting counterparts do. One more note, if I use caps for something (Example: TAKE, PICK, ARCANUM, STRIKE.) This means it is a command you use in the command menu, it will appear as the bottom option. 3.1 AWAKENING My Level: 1 CUTSCENE After a slightly confusing opening cinema and my favorite song, you take control of Sora who is standing on a green platform with a picture of Snow White and other characters from that movie. This a just a tutorial for now, so follow the commands as they are presented. Walk into the center of the platform. Three pedistals are presented to you. The one on the left has a shield, the center has a sword, and the one on the right has a magic rod. Each one represents a stat aspect. You are supposed to choose 2 objects. But, depending on whether it's your first choice or second will affect the stat positively or negatively, respectively. The object that you didn't choose isn't affected at all, you will continue to gain more of it's attributes in a normal manner. It is recommended that if this is your first time playing, you choose the power of the guardian and discard the power of the mystic, although I didn't and made it through just fine. Here's the laydown on what each object does. The Dream Shield- The power of the guadian. Kindness to aid friends. A shield to repel all. If you choose the Dream Shield for your first choice, your defense and HP will level up more frequently than other stats throughout the game. You also start the game with higher defense. If it's your second choice, your defense and HP will level up less frequently than your other stats throughout the game. The Dream Sword- The power of the warrior. Invincible courage. A sword of terrible destruction. If you choose the Dream Sword first, your offense will level up more frequently than your other stats, if you choose it second, your strength will level up less frequently than your other stats. The Dream Rod- The power of the mystic. Inner strength. A staff of wonder and ruin. If you choose the Dream Rod first, your MP and AP will level up more frequently than other stats throughout the game. You also start the game with higher MP and AP. If you choose it second, your MP and AP will level up less frequently than your other stats. I usually choose Sword first, Rod second. But, there are other good choices. First time players should choose the Shield and discard the sword. The other choice gives you the best stats overall, supposedly. For this one, choose the Staff and discard the shield. Whatever your choices, after you make them, the platform falls away and you fall onto a second platform that has Cinderella on it. This is your first encounter with a SHADOW. Ooh, scary. Just do what the tutorial tells you and swing at the Shadows for all it's worth. (1 Exp, each to be exact.) After you've defeated them all, you fall down to a third platform that has a transparent door on it. EXAMINE the door and follow the tutorial once again. After this part of the tutorial, go through the door and now it's time for a little Q&A and revisiting old friends. This part of the tutorial affects how quickly you level up during the game, and this is how. To level up... Fast: Choose the top 3 answers each time. The downside is, when you get around levels 60-100, it takes alot of EXP to gain a level. It also takes about 960,000 EXP total to reach level 100. Normal: Choose the middle 3 answers each time. This will give you a normal level up pace, with no major downside. You need about 900,000 EXP total to reach level 100. Slow: Choose the bottom 3 answers each time. The downside is, it takes alot more EXP than usual to reach level 70. The upside is, it takes 120,000 EXP less total to each level 100 and when you get to level 70, you start to level up quicker. Meaning, you only have to gain about 840,000 EXP total to reach level 100. Selphie- "What's most important to you?" Being number one. Friendship. My prize possesions. Tidus- "What are you so afraid of?" Getting old. Being different. Being indecisive. Wakka- "What do you want outta life?" To see rare sights. To broaden my horizons. To be strong. After you've made your choices, you fade away to a fourth platform with Aurora on it. You now must fight 8 Shadows at once, piece of the proverbial cake everyone. Waste 'em. You should level up right here, depending on how you answered the questions. (Congrats!) After the fight, you can make your first game save. Run up the ramp to the 5th and final platform (It has Belle on it) and get ready for your first BOSS fight. BOSS FIGHT: Darkside HP: 240 HP EXP GAINED: 18 XP ITEMS DROPPED: None He looks big, but, he isn't even close to being strong. Darkside has 2 moves he does in turn. First, he clenches dark power in his right first and then punches the ground, spawning 4 Shadows. Watch out for the punch though, it takes out 1/5 of your life bar. This is a good chance to level up a second, and if you have the patience, a third time. Just destroy the Shadows, don't do any severe damage to Darkside, and he'll keep spawning them! His second move is kneeling, drawing dark power to his heartshape on his stomach and then shooting out homing lasers. When he does this, go behind him and hide between his legs, the lasers can't hit you then. Or, instead of hiding between his legs, stand in front of him and when the lasers come near you, hit them back at Darkside for some Tech Points. Strike at his hands or at his head when he kneels and you'll put him out fast. If you get low on health, don't use your potion, just wait for him to spawn Shadows, kill them and then collect the green health orbs. CUTSCENE 3.2 Destiny Islands My Level: 3 After the cutscene ends, talk to Kairi (the girl in front of you). She'll give you a search 'n' find quest for... 2 Logs: One is under the bridge and the other one is on the island with Riku on it. (You can get to the island by swimming out to the water, or going up the stairs inside the Seaside Shack and crossing the bridge. 1 Cloth: Starting from the Seaside Shack, go up the ramp by the shack and head up the second ramp, take a left. When you get to the fork in the path, go up the stairs (they're on the right) and go around that path. Head up the ladder and follow this path. Head into the alcove and on the wall there is a cloth. 1 Rope: Starting from the Seaside Shack, go up the ramp by the shack and head up the second ramp, take a left. When you get to the fork in the path, go up the ladder. You should see Tidus practicing with a sword, behind him is the rope. Don't ask for any help from Kairi and you'll be rewarded with a Hi-Potion after you complete the search and find. Now, before you head back to Kairi, this is a good chance to gain a level or two. Note: I call the following fights boss fights because they are stronger than regular enemies. Save your game in the seaside shack before you do any of the following. BOSS FIGHT: Wakka (Optional) HP: Unknown. EXP GAINED: 1 XP ITEMS DROPPED/WON: None. Here's the first thing you do. Jump up to the platform to your right, and LIFT the barrel. Lock onto Wakka and THROW the barrel at him. He should be stunned right now. While he's stunned, run up and get a quick 1-2-3 combo on him. Now, keep a close eye on him and strike right after he throws his blitzball. That's it. Save and then go challenge Selphie. BOSS FIGHT: Selphie (Optional) HP: Unknown. EXP GAINED: 1 XP ITEMS DROPPED/WON: None. Here's the first thing you do. Jump up to the platform to your right, and LIFT the barrel. Lock onto Selphie and THROW the barrel at her. She should be stunned right now. While she's stunned, run up and get a quick 1-2-3 combo on her. Selphie is mostly vunerable from the air, so jump up towards her and swipe, most likely, you'll hit her swing and get a Tech point (which is just an XP) and knock her back a little. Save and go fight Tidus. BOSS FIGHT: Tidus (Optional) HP: Unknown EXP GAINED: 2 XP ITEMS DROPPED/WON: None. Here's the first thing you do. Jump up to the platform to your right, and LIFT the barrel. Lock onto Tidus and THROW the barrel at him. He should be stunned right now. While he's stunned, run up and get a quick 1-2-3 combo on him. Now, Tidus is a little tricker than Selphie and Wakka. Tidus is a close range fighter, so when he runs in at you, jump behind him and swipe at him with your 1-2-3 combo. If you need to heal, remember, you have your potion (if you didn't use it already) left over from the AWAKENING. BOSS FIGHT: Wakka, Selphie, and Tidus. (Optional) HP: Unknown EXP GAINED: 4 XP (1 for Wakka, 1 for Selphie, and 2 for Tidus.) ITEMS DROPPED/WON: Potion Here's the first thing you do. Jump up to the platform to your right, and LIFT the barrel. Lock onto whoever's closest and THROW the barrel at them. They should be stunned right now. While they're stunned, run up and get a quick 1-2-3 combo on them. After that, focus mainly on Tidus and Selphie first. Those two tend to stay right by each other so you'll most likely be hitting them both at the same time. After those two are done, finish off Wakka. (He's probably taken a hit or two by now anyways.) Individual strategies for these 3 are the same as above. BOSS FIGHT: Riku (Optional) HP: Unknown EXP GAINED: 5 XP ITEMS DROPPED/WON: Potion Quick note: This fight factors into your foot-race score, so if you lose, your score drops and will probably end up making Riku get the raft (and your Gummi-Ship) be named what Riku wants. This is probably the harder than the 3 on 1 fight with Tidus & company. The trees get in the way, and if Riku falls on down, he gets up by kicking forward, so don't stand in front of him after he falls down. Also, don't fall off the island, or you'll lose. Without the benefit of stunning him with a barrel, you're on your own. Riku likes to jump around alot, so, you should stay on the ground whenever possible. Riku falls down after every 3 or 4 hits, so get ready to run to the side or jump behind him. The best thing to do is hit him twice, run away, hit him twice and run away. When you're ready, save and bring the stuff to Kairi. When asked to rest, say yes. CUTSCENE CUTSCENE During the second day, you have to explore the "Secret Place" (a cave by the waterfall that's by the shack.) have a race with Riku, and do a second search and find quest. Let's get started. You start the second day on the docks. Head back to where you gave Kairi the stuff and go through the door she was blocking before. (Now, if you want to level up a few more times, you can fight the 3 on 1 fight again, or the single fights. Wakka has moved to the waterfall and Tidus is now where you fought Riku.) Riku is right by the door you just came through. When you talk to him, he asks you for a name for your raft (and ultimately, it turns out to be the name of your Gummi-Ship). He thinks it should be called Highwind. You think it should be called Excalibur (or whatever you personally want.) Anyways, instead of solving it normally, Sora and Riku decide to race. Here's what you have to do. Race through an obstacle course and touch a Paopu fruit on the otherside, then, race back. Instead of taking the bridge like Riku, just jump off the ledge, and race down through the water towards the stairs. Go up the stairs and go straight off that ledge. Run around the RIGHT side of the (your) raft and up the slope that curves left. Next, jump from each platform towards the paopu tree. Tag the tree and jump right off that platform back down to the beach. WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T GO THROUGH THE CAVE ENTRANCE BY THE PAOPU TREE, IT'LL MAKE YOU LOSE THE RACE. Go back the way you came, around the right side of the raft, jump up the ledge, race down the stairs, through the water, jump up the next ledge and you're done. What do you get? The raft is named whatever you wanted and you get a Pretty Stone. (The only use I've found for the Pretty Stone is selling it for 30 Munnies once you get to Traverse Town.) Wanna get your first Accessory? Go back to the stairs you raced on against the wall directly behind the box there is a cave, LIFT the box and carry it towards the wall. THROW the box and climb on top of it. Jump into the cave. Inside the cave, there is a Protect Chain, which will raise your Def. stat by 1 point. Kairi is down by the raft now, go talk to her for your next search and find quest. Looks like you're collecting provisions for your upcoming trip! Here's what to find and where to find it. 1 Seagull Egg- Head back to the Seaside Shack (chance to save) and go up the stairs inside. Climb up the thin tree and jump over to the tree that has the egg on it. 3 Mushrooms- A. Secret Place by the doorway. CUTSCENE B. By the raft, there is a rock blocking a cave. Push the rock out of the way and inside is the second mushroom. C. To the left of the tower on the obstacle course in some grass. 2 Coconuts- Just strike at all the palm trees and eventually, a yellow coconut should fall down. Do this twice, but not on the same tree. 3 Fish- Go to the boat dock and walk/swim around in the water. You should see fish swimming around, just walk through them and you should collect them. 1 Bottle of Drinking Water (But, not ocean water!)- Go to the waterfall by the Secret Place and just go under the waterfall to collect it. You're done! Last chance to save for a little bit. Last chance to get some XP from Tidus and everyone. Once you're done, head back and talk to Kairi. If your do the quest without asking for her help, you get another Hi-Potion. CUTSCENE CUTSCENE When you get back to the main island, you find Riku and Kairi's boats already landed on the island, and your old friends--Shadows. Your wooden sword does nothing right now, just run to the little island where you fought Riku. (If you did.) If you want to, you can save. CUTSCENE Now, that you have the Keyblade, you can destroy the Shadows. I recommend being at least level 5 before you face the boss, although I usually train up to level 6 or 7. It'll also help alot when you get to Traverse Town if you're level 7. After the cutscene with Riku, go to the Secret Place. CUTSCENE CUTSCENE BOSS FIGHT: Darkside HP: 300 HP EXP GAINED: 60 XP ITEMS DROPPED/WON: None. He looks big, but, he isn't even close to being strong. Darkside has 4 moves now, and he does each in turn. First, he kneels, drawing dark power to his heartshape on his stomach and then shooting out homing lasers. When he does this, go behind him and hide between his legs, the lasers can't hit you then. Second, he clenches dark power in his right first and then punches the ground, spawning 4 Shadows. Watch out for the punch though, it takes out 1/5 of your life bar. His third is striking with his left hand straight into the ground causing a mini-earthquake that will slightly damage you no matter where you are, but, if you jump, you can evade the hit. His final move is when he pulls his arm out of the ground. He pulls an energy orb with his arm. He raises the orb above his head and it starts raining small energy orbs and they hurt a little. To finish him off strike at his hands or at his head when he kneels and you'll put him out fast. If you get low on health, use your potions or just wait for him to spawn Shadows, kill them and then collect the green health orbs. CUTSCENE 3.3 TRAVERSE TOWN Part 1 My Level: 7 After waking up, you find Pluto staring right into your face. Welcome to Traverse Town, boys and girls, get ready for a ride. Head out of the alleyway and head into the Accessory Shop. Be ready to see a familar face. It's Cid from FF7! Talk to him and then save. There is an treasure chest on a shelf. Jump onto the counter then onto the shelf and get the Mythril Shard. Head back out to the streets and go around back from the shop you were just in. Go through the big doors and go to the 2nd District. CUTSCENE Time to fight again, but this time it's just Shadows again, but now they drop munnie, along with health orbs. Destroy them and then head back to the Accessory Shop. But wait! The 1st District is overrun by Shadows! Finish them quickly. You shouldn't have the slightest problem with Shadows by now. Now, go into the shop and save, then leave. Get ready to meet an old friend. CUTSCENE BOSS FIGHT: Leon (Squall) HP: 120 HP EXP GAINED: 30 XP ITEMS DROPPED/WON: None. First of all, Leon is extremely agile, and it doesn't matter if you win or lose this fight, either way, the story continues. But, if you win, you get some XP which you need desperately this early in the game. (Well, it's considered alot this early in the game.) Leon likes to shoot fireballs and then come in and strike at you. But, the gunblade attacks are slow, so you can avoid them easily. If you jump at him, chances are he'll jump back to evade and then swipe at you. A good idea here: get outta that small area you start in and head out into the open, you have more room to move and dodge this way. He is most vunerable right after he shoots fireballs or right before he shoots fireballs. When he is charging the fireball, swing just as soon as the fire is launched. This will stun him. Run over and hit him till he revives. Right after he's swung do a 3 hit combo, and then run away. Repeat as much as it takes. CUTSCENE CUTSCENE After the cutscene, walk over to the table and open the chest. Then, save. Talk to both Yuffie and Leon and get ready for some more action. CUTSCENE You now have a second enemy Heartless, the Soldier. They take twice as many hits than the Shadows do before they are destroyed. For a little XP, go the way Leon didn't go, defeat the Heartless, and then go the way Leon went. If you jump up to the balcony that is reachable and then head over to the other balcony, you can get a potion. Head around the other corner of the hotel, past the double doors you're supposed to go through to pick up another potion, then head through the double doors. You should yourself at a fountain, if not, you went through the wrong door. Defeat all the Heartless and then take the first alleyway on the right from the fountain. Once in the alley, turn the next corner and keep fighting and then go through the door straight ahead that leads to the 3rd District. Head to the stairs to your right. CUTSCENE Donald and Goofy are in your party now and with them, this fight is over pretty fast, but now, you've angered someone and you have to deal with... CUTSCENE BOSS FIGHT: Guard Armor HP: 700 HP EXP GAINED: Unknown ITEMS DROPPED/WON: Brave Warrior, 100 munny, Elixir, Magic Spell Fire, Ability Dodge Roll. Just strike at all the body parts, starting with the arms and then legs. After you deal a certain amount of damage, the body breaks up and the pieces do individual attacks, but they reform after awhile. When you destroy a part, health orbs appear, but if you need health, you should have a potion or two equipped in your item menu. Don't bother healing Donald or Goofy, they take care of themselves pretty good, and they even heal you if you really need it. A good strategy is just focus on one body part at a time. CUTSCENE Now, time to do a little more business in Traverse Town. headback to the 3rd District and unlock the door that leads to the 1st District. Then, head down the alley directly behind you from the door and you'll end up at a door with a flame on it. Use your new fire magic to unlock it. Head through the door and then time your jumps just right so you can leap from floating rock to floating rock. Then, go around the left side of the house to enter it. CUTSCENE Now, you meet the house's resident: Merlin. After he returns his house to normal, save and then use the save point to go to your Gummi-Ship. You now have a little Gummi-Ship tutorial to go through. After that head to Wonderland. (The upper path.) 3.4 WONDERLAND My Level: 9 CUTSCENE After you disembark, you find yourself floating down a shaft. After you and Donald have a graceful landing, and Goofy falls on his face, you regain control of Sora. (I've always wanted to say this...!) Follow the White Rabbit. Go through the door at the end of the hallway. CUTSCENE CUTSCENE Go up and talk to the doorknob. Yes, you heard me, talk to the doorknob! CUTSCENE After the talk, go over to the bed and push it, then, go over to the table and drink the drink to shrink. As soon as you're shrunk, jump onto the floor, but watch out! Heartless appear! A new enemy: Red Nocturne. Don't use fire magic on them because they'll just absorb the magic and turn it into health for themselves. NOTE: I will no longer be telling the whereabouts of items in chests, there are far too many and some are too difficult to explain where they are hidden. But, once you see the chests for yourself you can find the way to them yourselves. After the Heartless are destroyed, go through the doorway you opened when you pushed the bed. CUTSCENE After the cutscene, the Queen of Hearts tells you to find evidence of Alice's innocence. All you have to do is find up to 4 pieces of evidence. Another search and find quest, fun. Here's where the evidence is located. Becareful though, Heartless are swarming the area! Before you can start finding the evidence, you must first go through the doorway to the left of the throne. There is also a save point to the left of the entrance of the Queen's Castle. Footprints: Once you enter Lotus Forest, go forward and take a right into the first thicket of bushes, you should see a Blue Trinity Mark and to the right and in front of it you should see a box containing this evidence. Antenna: From the entrance to Lotus Forest, go start through the trees ahead. You should see 3 tall mushrooms, jump onto the lower one, and then to the one on the right. Jump up to the next platform and there is another box with evidence. Stench: From the small mushroom in the last location, jump left instead of right from the small mushroom. Jump to the leaf platform and you should see another leaf across a gap. It may not look like it, but you can make this jump, so just jump across, if you don't make it, just keep trying and you will. Try to get a running headstart and then jump right at the edge of the gap. Jump up to the treetop that has the red jellybean thing on it and then jump down to the leaf platform in front of the jellybean. Follow the curve of the leaves to the left and up to the doorway and go through. You should find yourself in the Bizarre Room again, but you'll be falling from the ceiling and will land on the stove, right next to the evidence box. Claw Marks: From the entrance to Lotus Forest, you should see a Yellow Flower on the left. Give the Flower a potion through the command menu. It will make you big again. Go over to the big tree and target it. Hit it once. Then, go over to the big tree stump by the entrance. Then, target the jellybean thing. Turns out, it was just a fruit. PICK the fruit then EAT it. Now, from the small mushroom in the last location, jump left instead of right from the small mushroom. Follow the curve of the leaves to the right and go through the doorway. You should land on a water faucet. Look in the direction Goofy is looking. See the box? Aw...but it looks so far away! Just jump and hope you make it, if you don't keep trying. Again, a running start helps. After you collect all 4 evidence pieces, the Cheshire Cat appears again and teaches you Blizzard magic. Now you can save Alice, head back to the Queen's Castle and save. Then approach the Queen's guards by her podium and give them the evidence. What!? The Queen is just a little off, don'tcha think? Oh well, if you want to keep your head, choose one. I don't think it matters which one you choose, as far as I know, this guessing game is rigged in your favor. After you choose the box, it shows that the Heartless tried to steal the Queen's heart, but she still doesn't believe you. CUTSCENE BOSS FIGHT: The Queen of Hearts and the Army of Cards HP: Varies. EXP GAINED: 100 XP ITEMS DROPPED/WON: None. First off, don't attack the cards, Donald and Goofy seem to have a preoccupation with taking them out. Attack the Queen first to knock her out, then head for the tower. There are 3 cranks and this is what you have to attack to win the boss fight. An easy way to take care of the cranks is to just have full magic and use all of it against the cranks, if you run out and still need to destroy cranks, when a crank is destroyed, it releases MP bubbles or you can attack the cards. Every now and then the Queen will revive, go over and knock her down again, then go back to attacking the Tower and cranks. After it's demolished, a cutscene starts. You have to find Alice and the kidnappers! Save really quick and then head back into Lotus Forest. CUTSCENE Get ready for a new enemy: Large Body. This guy is only vunerable from behind, so dodge around him and make your attack. When he glows and slaps his stomach, run away and let Donald and Goofy take this blow. After that's done with, head straight through the forest, following the path and then go through the doorway at the end. You'll end up in the Tea Party Garden. (Sit down in all the chairs for some neat items. But, if you sit in the wrong chair, Heartless appear. To get the table back, exit the room and reenter.) Go through the door on the left. What you have to do now is turn on the two lights. Just defeat the Heartless as they appear and then jump up to the lights and TOUCH them. Now, go back the way you came and go to the right-side-up Bizarre Room. Make sure you save on the way through the Queen's Castle, because you have another BOSS FIGHT: Trick Master HP: 600 HP EXP GAINED: 150 XP ITEMS DROPPED/WON: Ifrit's Horn, Navi-Gummi Piece. He looks tricky, but he isn't. Still, I recommend being at least level 10 before youre face him. If you need to level up, just go back to Lotus Forest. To finish Trick Master off, just keep using fire magic and when that runs out, jump up and attack him. Eventually, he'll start to droop, making it easier because you don't have to jump to attack him anymore. But, after awhile, he'll stand again. After a certain amount of damage, he'll walk around the room, if you have to, jump on top of the table and then leap at him. But, if you stay camped out on the table, he'll bat the table down into the ground, taking your advantage away, it will return to normal after a few seconds though. When he starts his pins on fire, cast Blizzard on them, that way you won't take any extra damage. Keep this pattern up and he'll fold in no time. Now, you'll seal your first "Keyhole." CUTSCENE Once you return to your Gummi-Ship, fly counter-clockwise around the ring. (You have to make a pit-stop at Traverse Town, but you don't have to disembark. But, this is a good chance to gain and level or two before you continue on to Olympus Coliseum. 3.5 OLYPMUS COLISEUM PART 1 My Level: 14 All Olympus consists of is just this one Coliseum. Head straight through the big doors in front of you. Once inside go up and talk to Phil. CUTSCENE Try to move the pedistal. When you say "It weighs a ton!" Go back and talk to Phil again. CUTSCENE Save, then talk to Phil again. You now have to go through 2 trials. TRIAL 1 Barrels: 20 Time Limit: 30 Seconds Run foward, hit the three barrels till they break. Run to the next group, if there are any left. if not, jump up to the next group and strike them. Finish off any remaining barrels with Fire, Blizzard, or normal strikes. TRIAL 2 Barrels: 25 Time Limit: 1 Minute First off, run around to the left, strike the barrels, turn around the corner, LIFT the single barrel, target the barrel along this straight part, THROW it at the single barrel, run around the next corner and you're almost at where you started. There is 2 barrels stacked on top of each other and a single barrel. Target the single and rotate the camera around so the you and the single barrel face the stacked barrels. Strike until the barrel flys at the stacked ones. Jump up to the next set, break them with Keyblade hits. Jump up to the next layer and there is a single barrel and 2 stacks of 2. Same plan as before. Finish the remaining barrels with hits. Jump up, another single and 3 stacks of 2. Same plan as the last 2 sets. Finish the next barrel with your Keyblade and then there is one left. It is on a platform in the air that you can't jump to, use fire magic. CUTSCENE REWARD: Magic Spell Thunder But, Phil still won't let you in the games! Alright, forget him, leave the coliseum. CUTSCENE Ooh, what's this!? An Entry Pass! Go back and show Phil who's who! Be sure to save your game when you reenter the coliseum. Now, it's time for the preliminaries! Even though it's against my policy this early in the game, give Donald and Goofy potions. (Have you customized their preferences yet? Set their HP and MP items usage to "Only in Emergancies"!) PRELIMINARIES--7 Seeds Match 1: Shadow Scout 4x Soldiers 3x Blue Rhapsodies Use fire against the Blue ones. This is simple stuff right here. CUTSCENE (Yeah, that's right, that's Cloud from FF7!) Match 2: Sinisters 3x Blue Rhapsodies 10x Shadows Fire against the Blue things, you should know how to handle Shadows by now! Match 3: Heat & Freeze 5x Red Nocturne 5x Blue Rhapsodies Fire against the blue things, ice against the red. Make sure you know which type you're locked onto! If you've run out of magic, use normal hits. CUTSCENE Match 4: Shadow Platoon 3x Red Nocturne 3x Blue Rhapsodies 2x Shadows 2x Soldiers Take care of the magic spitters first, then the Soldiers. Finish off the Shadows last. Match 5: Blue Revenge 10x Blue Rhapsodies Normal hits or fire magic. CUTSCENE Match 6: Big One 1x Large Body 4x Red Nocturne 4x Blue Rhapsodies Go after the Large Body first, and then finish the magic spitters off. Dodge Roll (You have it equipped, right?) around to avoid the Tummy Slap of Death thing. Match 7: Final Match BOSS FIGHT: Cloud HP: 300 HP EXP GAINED: 80 XP ITEMS DROPPED/WON: None. First of all, you don't HAVE to win this fight. This is the same as the fight with Leon, you can lose and still progress. But, for those of you who want to beat Cloud down, here's what to do. Use normal attacks, he seems to be fire proof. Or you can use Blizzard and Thunder, but your MPs won't last long. Save your potions for you. Donald and Goofy (depending on how good you did) should still have some left for themselves and you. You should still have all 3 of yours. When he leaps up and then impales the ground, be sure to Dodge Roll out of the way. Cloud also likes to stab forwards while sliding, and then doing a 3 hit combo. Just Dodge Roll out of the way. If you jump at Cloud to hit him from the air, he'll most likely jump back to avoid and possibly counterattack with that slide/stab thing. If you can, strike at the same time as Cloud so you deflect his attack. This causes him to stop and you can get a good combo in on him. (Combo Plus, you have it equipped, right?) After you do alot of damage to him. He changes his lunge attack. Instead of doing a 3 hit combo after the lunge, he does a 180 turn and then lunges again,180 turn and lunges again. He does the lunge/180 thing 5 times. Just jump over his attacks the first 4 times. The 5th time, however. he slide/lunges and then 180's and jump/stabs the ground. Dodge Roll this one. After you do enough damage, he does the jump/stab ground thing repeatedly. Just keep Dodge Rolling and striking him when he pulls his sword out of the ground and he should be finished quickly. CUTSCENE Save first, now you have a choice. A. Save Hercules or B. Run away and level up. If you are level 15 or higher, you should be safe, if not, choose B. Either way, make sure you saved, make sure you reequip the 3 of you with HP and MP healing items, and then do what you chose. If you choose to "Go from Zero to HERO!" you get a CUTSCENE BOSS FIGHT: Cerberus HP: 600HP EXP GAINED: 200 XP ITEMS DROPPED/WON: Inferno Band, Hero License, Ability Sonic Blade. Let Donald and Goofy do most of the damage until they get K.O.'d. Watch out for Cerberus's bites, they do alot of damage. Dodge Roll around and jump at the heads. Use Thunder magic to cause a lot of damage. Cerberus shoots meteors out of it's mouths, so be sure to Dodge Roll or jump over them. A good tactic is to get behind Cerberus and then try to jump onto it's right heal and then onto it's back. Run up it's back and then Lock-On and strike the heads. When Cerberus rears up and slams it's paws on the ground be sure to jump the second before the paws hit. When Cerberus shoots dark energy into the ground, Dodge Roll around to avoid the energy pillars that crash out of the ground or jump onto it's back. CUTSCENE Once that's over, go back inside, save and then leave. Wait, is that... Cloud on the steps there by the exit...? CUTSCENE Now, leave for real this time. CUTSCENE If you want, head back to Traverse Town. Personally, I always take a trip back to Traverse Town and make one run through the 2nd District, Hotel, Gizmo Shop, and 3rd District for some XP. If you go to the Item Shop, you can buy some new weapons for Donald and Goofy. This is also a good chance to level up. Whatever you do, the next level is... 3.6 DEEP JUNGLE My Level: 17 NOTE: DURING THIS LEVEL, SABOR, THE LEOPARD, WILL RANDOMLY APPEAR AT TIMES. AS FAR AS I KNOW, THERE IS NO SET PATERN FOR HIS APPEARENCES OTHER THAN THEY TEND TO HAPPEN AFTER A CUTSCENE. I AM PUTTING IN WHERE I HAVE SEEN HIM APPEAR. YOU MIGHT NOT NECESSARILY SEE HIM AT THE SAME SPOT THAT I DO. What's this!? You and Donald fight over the controls for the Gummi-Ship, you want to check out the jungle for Riku and Kairi, but he doesn't think that the King is there. The Gummi-Ship crash lands on Deep Jungle. CUTSCENE BOSS FIGHT: Sabor HP: 90 HP EXP GAINED: 15 XP ITEMS DROPPED/WON: None. Again, Fire magic is your best friend. Lock on and shoot the fire till your MPs run out, then switch to sword hits. When you build your MP back up, use Fire again. Sabor likes to jump around and then follow up with a claw swipe or two. So, just stay on the ground during the jump and then Dodge Roll away. CUTSCENE First thing you want to do is change Tarzan's preferences to what I recommended earlier. (HP and MP items used only in an emergancy.) Then, if you want to, (This is what I usually do.) steal all of Tarzan's items and accessories. but, you don't have to, it's just fun and gets you some neat stuff sometimes. Now, just jump off the same way Tarzan did. Now, you have a chance to save the game, either jump down the tree trunk and "surf" down the tree branches like from the movie or, jump up the two platforms. If you choose the tree trunk, you'll end up at the camp site right away, then just head into the tent. If you choose to go through the doorway by the platforms, go through the door, through the next door, now from the platform you're on, jump down to the next level and fall down the hole to your right. Then, just jump off that tree top and you'll land in some water. Swim to the ramp and go on that platform and head in the direction you were facing when you appeared in this room. Now, take the door on the left and you'll end up at the camp site. Enter the tent. CUTSCENE Save your game and talk to Jane. Oops! She lost the slides, guess you have to search and find them! Here's the locations. Slide 1: On top of the tent with Jane in it. Beside it is a globe and some boxes. Jump onto the boxes and then onto the tent. It's laying right in the center of the tent and you can't miss it. Slide 2: From the top of the tent, jump off into the little clearing surrounded by tents, on a green dresser there is a slide. Slide 3: This one is by the art easel, which is to the right of the boxes you used to jump up onto the tent. Slide 4: On top of the huge stack of boxes in the middle of the area. (If you can somehow miss this pile, it is directly in front of the tent.) Slide 5: Go back to where you found slide 1, jump onto the long stretch of tents, it is in the middle of the very last tent. Slide 6: Behind the globe on the boxes you used to jump up to slide 1. Once you have collected them all. head back into the tent and save. Then, EXAMINE the projector. CUTSCENE Get the feeling Mr. Clayton is up to something? Me too... Oh well, make sure you have Goofy and Tarzan in your party. Donald is usless right none basically because he has such weak HP. After this is set up, save again if you want and then leave the tent. But, as soon as you get outside... BOSS FIGHT: Sabor HP: 90 HP EXP GAINED: 15 XP ITEMS DROPPED/WON: None. Between the three of you, Sabor shouldn't last more than 30 seconds. After Sabor runs away again, tail between legs, go around the lab table and out that doorway. Now there are two ways you can go again. The easiest is the second, because the vine rope jumping is a huge pain, so I won't even bother explaining that part and I'll just go with the easy path. From where you enter the Hippo's Lagoon area, turn right and jump onto the first hippo, then over to the grass. Go to the right of that platform and jump across onto the next platform. Turn left a little and you should see another platform, jump to it then turn left again, you should se a small tree, jump on top of it, then up another tree top, and then finally a third. Jump down onto the platform (or directly to the hippos back) and then jump onto the little island with a treasure chest on it. Climb up this vine. CUTSCENE Now, head back to the tree house. A quick way back to the tree house is this: once the cinema ends, turn to the left and you should see a vine, climb it and you should be in a room called Climbing Trees. Follow the path around and jump to the platform across from you. If you are on the right platform, you should see a blueTrinity mark on it. Go through the door behind the Trinity mark. CUTSCENE Now, head back to the campsite, using the same path you did the first time. But, when you get back to the campsite... BOSS FIGHT: Sabor HP: 90 HP EXP GAINED: 15 XP ITEMS DROPPED/WON: None. Between the three of you, Sabor shouldn't last more than 30 seconds. After the fight with Sabor, head into the tent again. CUTSCENE Save the game and go see what Clayton fired at! CUTSCENE (But a very short one!) Quick defeat those new monkey Heartless to save the gorilla! Now it's time to go to an area that you haven't been to yet. The Bamboo Thicket. Leaving the tent, take a right and head into the Bamboo. Another group of Heartless! Good job, you saved another gorilla, head through to the next room. More Heartless, finish them to save another gorilla. Now, head back to camp. Finish off any Heartless you encounter along the way. You probably will have another encounter in the Bamboo Thicket and after you destroy the first wave of Heartless, you'll face a second wave with another new enemy: Power Wild. (The other monkey thing is a Bouncy Wild.) Be sure to save when you get back to camp. When you exit the tent, you might encounter a mushroom thing that is white with a red hat. DO NOT ATTACK THEM. Pay attention to what they do. If you play their little game of charades 3 times, you'll get some cool items. Right now though, you can only do 3 magic spells so cast a certain magic on them after they do a certain thing. Thunder: A light above it's head. Blizzard: On their knees begging. Fire: Shivering. And for later on... Cure: Laying down on the ground. Aero: Spinning in circles. Stop: They don't move. Gravity: Floating in the air. Now, after the mushrooms, head to the Treetop room again. (The room you went through to get to the tree house.) When you get to the tree top room, you have to fight more Heartless. Another gorilla saved. Head to the tree house. Once inside the tree house, another fight commences and another gorilla is saved. Head back to camp, head into the tent, save, and then leave. CUTSCENE Head off into the thicket again. (The direction of the gunshot.) CUTSCENE BOSS FIGHT: Sabor HP: 180 HP EXP GAINED: 150 XP ITEMS DROPPED/WON: White Fang. Ooh, Sabor's back and he has some more HP now...oh well, use fire again to start off. Once it runs out, go in close and attck relentlessly. Sabor likes to jump around and then follow up with a claw swipe or two. So, just stay on the ground during the jump and then Dodge Roll away. After you hit him enough, he'll jump into the trees and you'll lose your lock on. Just wait for him to reappear, which is usually on the otherside of the thicket. He also has a new attack. He headbutt lunges at you. Just jump when you see him lower his head. CUTSCENE That is the last time you have to worry about Sabor. But, hurry! Get back to camp and check on Jane! Take care of any Heartless in the area and then head inside the tent. CUTSCENE Save quickly and run back to the treetop area where you can get to the tree house. But, when you get to the tree top area, you find Jane and the gorilla captive! Just destroy the big black fruit because the Heartless just keep respawning if you don't. Head back to the campsite again once you're done. Destroy any Heartless and then head inside the tent. Save your game and then head to the thicket. Once there, head into the area after it. (The Cliff area.) NOTE: You may encounter Heartless in the thicket, if you do, use a Tent, Cottage or Camping Set to heal yourself. CUTSCENE BOSS FIGHT: Clayton HP: 250 HP EXP GAINED: None. ITEMS DROPPED/WON: None. Clayton has a group of Heartless that you'll wanna take care of first. Clayton just LOVES to heal himself after you do any damage to him, so you'll have to be quick. Also, his shotgun does alot of damage, depending on how close you are to him. But, he stops after every 3 shots to reload or use a potion. He will also swing his gun around and strike you with it. Do not use any magic on him yet, you'll need it later. CUTSCENE BOSS FIGHT: Stealth Sneak and Clayton HP: Stealth Sneak: 750 HP Clayton: 250 HP EXP GAINED: Stealth Sneak: 30 XP if first defeated, 240 XP if second defeated. Clayton: 30 XP if first defeated, 240 XP if second defeated. ITEMS DROPPED/WON: Magic Spell Cure, Navi-G Piece, Jungle King, Red Trinity. To get to Clayton, you must first knock him off his mount. Target the Stealth Sneak and use fire magic on him. (You listened to me when I told you to save it, right?) Now, Clayton shoots from his mount (till he falls) and then, the Stealth Sneak also shoots twin lasers out of it's hands and twing homing lasers out of it's eyes. When the two seperate, go for the Stealth Sneak first, then finish Clayton off. Stealth Sneak will also headbutt you, this is a pain when trying to heal and you get interuppted. CUTSCENE Head up into the cave and make your way upwards by jumping from platform to platform. Once you reach the top, go through the top cave entrance. Now, you'll seal your second "Keyhole". CUTSCENE CUTSCENE CUTSCENE (Yeah, that's alot of cutscenes.) You heard Donald and Goofy! Head back to Traverse Town and talk to Leon! 3.7 Traverse Town Part 2 My Level: 20 Once you're back in Traverse Town, head to the 2nd District's Hotel. Go into the Green Room and exit through the back door. If you want, before you go through into the Hotel, spend some time and level up in the 2nd District and the Gizmo Shop. Also, if you've collected any of the 101 Dalmations, you should check out Pongo and Perdita's house in the back alley of the 2nd District. If you decide to level up a little, becareful, there are alot of Large Bodies in Traverse Town now. There are also 3 new enemies. Yellow Opera, Green Requiem and Air Soldier. They are fairly strong, especially the Green Requiem. While they never attack, they do use CURE and when they use Cure on a Large Body, it can do a whole lot of damage. When you're ready, head to the right when you get out in the alley behind the hotel and go to the barred doorway. There is a Red Trinity right by it, use it and then go into the door. Swim through the channel and talk to Leon. After he tells you about sealing the Keyholes, talk to him again. Ooh, you got a pretty little gem...better head up those stairs behind you so you can find Cid. When you get to the top of the stairs, you'll see a platform, jump onto it and you'll appear in the Merlin's House. Head out of Merlin's house and go to the 3rd District. Take care of any Heartless here and then go through the doors leading to the 1st District. Go into the Accessory Shop and talk to Cid about the Gummi Block. Save the game while you're here too. CUTSCENE Hmm...something's going on at the Gizmo Shop, eh? Well...deliver the book to Merlin first, then we'll go exploring! Oh! How about that? Done and done. You made the delivery and even got a summon spell out of it! What luck! Head back to the 3rd District now, you know that small abandoned house? Well, Cid, Leon, Yuffie, and Aerith have all taken residence up in there. Drop in and say hi. But, you're interupted before you can get to the house. CUTSCENE Now, that's odd...Riku disappeared on ya...oh well, it had to have been important. Now, head to house you were going to before. Go over and talk to Cid. CUTSCENE Now, leave that cozy lil house and head to the 1st District and save your game, now head to the 2nd District's Gizmo Shop. Fight through all the Heartless (There's around 5 waves of Heartless) and then exit the Gizmo shop through the door on the other side of the room. Climb the ladder to the left and you're on the roof. Use Red Trinity on the boards and PULL on the bell 3 times. What's this!? A keyhole, right here in Traverse Town! Just like Leon said! CUTSCENE Maybe you should try to seal it...might want to head back to the 1st District and save though...(Make sure you go through the 3rd District or stay on the upper walkway if you do though because...) BOSS FIGHT: Opposite Armor HP: 1200 HP EXP GAINED: 390 XP ITEMS DROPPED/WON: Magic Spell Aero, Navi-G Piece. For the first few strikes, it attacks you as Guard Armor, so use the same tactics as last time, but, after a you do a certain amount of damage, it turns into Opposite Armor. Just Dodge Roll when it tries to use it's Stomach laser cannon. When the pieces fall apart, go after the legs first, then the arms. When I say legs, I mean the things that he walks on now, not the actual legs. Same thing for the arms. Try to stay underneath the Armor to avoid most of the damage. When the parts break, they drop a lot of health orbs, run and pick them up as fast as you can. Hopefully, you have Cure in your shortcut menu, cause if not, you're gonna die trying to heal yourself the long way. Use Thunder alot, but always make sure you have 1 MP left so you can heal yourself. Or you can use potions, but I don't know if you guys have them equipped. After you beat him, you seal the Keyhole. Head back to the Accessory Shop and save. But, when you get to the shop, the clerk is missing and someone is sleeping on the floor! CUTSCENE Now, you can save. Then, go to your new and improved Gummi-Ship. Ooh, but wait! There's a tournament being held at the Coliseum...and a great reward is being offered to the winner. Maybe you should go and level up there a little, eh? For help beating the Phil Cup, check out the Side-Quests section of the FAQ/Walkthrough. So, if you want to compete now, scroll down, which I suggest you do. After that, head to the WARP HOLE that is located after the Coliseum. Enter the hole (you'll have to use your warp drive to get to Olympus and then select the warp hole) and you're on your way to Agrabah. 3.8 AGRABAH My level: 24 CUTSCENE As soon as it ends, a new kind of Heartless attack. Just use normal attacks, and then head through the little wooden door to the left. Smash the barrels for some munnies and then save. Head back to the Plaza and then go through the huge open doorway. One thing, the Shadows are tougher now. They cause more damage, and can take more. But, you also get more XP for defeating them. Another fight commences, dispatch the Heartless. From the door way you entered from, take the right path, and then to the end of that path. To the right there is a pole, climb it. MOVE the dresser off of the carpet. Some treasue chests and a save point. If you should exit this room and return, there will be a man selling/buying items. Against the wall to the far right of the save point there is another dresser, MOVE it and RELEASE the lock. Head out of the room using the open door. Ah! You're back in the Plaza, but on a higher level. Turn to the right from where you start and you should see some open windows with a wooden awning thing sticking out. Jump to the first one, then to the second, then onto the solid ground quickly. Why? Because if you stay of those wooden awnings for more than 1 second, they fall off and you'll have to do it all over again. Remember that lock you released? It opened this gate here, go through it.Once you're back on Main Street, take the left path (the one you didn't take before) and go through that doorway. CUTSCENE Uh-oh...before you can find Aladdin, you have to beat these Heartless, once you're done with that, jump onto the boxes in the left corner and up to that platform. RELEASE the lock and then turn to the right from the lock and you should see some more open windows with awnings sticking out. Jump to the first one, then to the second, then onto the solid ground quickly. Why? Because if you stay of those awnings for more than 1 second, they fall off and you'll have to do it all over again. Remember that lock you released? It opened this gate here, go through it. Now, head back to the beginning of the level and then go out the doorway that leads to the desert. CUTSCENE (Kinda) Save and then talk to the carpet. Get on the carpet and head out. CUTSCENE Quick, save Aladdin by defeating all of Jafar's Heartless. CUTSCENE (Enjoy the Genie's Intro) The best choice right now is to replace Aladdin with Donald. The Heartless around here will finish off Donald pretty quickly and Aladin is much stronger. CUTSCENE Once again, you're ambushed when you return to Agrabah. Head into the storage room again and save your game and then head back outside. Uh-oh looks like someone did some rearranging while you were gone. The main door is blocked off! In the rear right corner of this room, there are some boxes, jump onto them and then up to the next platform. Walk onto the orange arch and jump over to the green one. Go through that door and fight off the Heartless. Darn! Looks like Main Street is blocked off from here too! Okay remember those wooden awnings? Time to jump over them again. Jump the same way you did last time. Finally, you're on Main Street. Jump down and destory the Heartless. That big doorway used to be blocked, but now it's open, go through it. Now you're at the palace gates. There are more Heartless in here, too. But, nothing's happening in here, so go back to main street. Now, from the door you just came through, you should see a blocked doorway in front of you head towards it. See that big cement block? Jump on it and then jump up the next 3 cement blocks. To your right is an alternative entrance to the room that had the carpet in it (Turns out it was Aladdin's house.) So, go in and save your game. Go down the pole that is directly behind the save point to return to the cement blocks. Walk onto the turquoise awning and then turn right. Go all the way down to the red awning. Look left and you should see an open doorway, jump to it and go through. Becareful, the Heartless in this room might turn out to be Black Fungus. If so, attack quickly and use Gravity repeatedly. Watch out because Black Fungus can poison you. Hopefully when you were fighting those first few Heartless, you didn't fall off the platform you started on. If you did, don't worry, there are boxes you can jump on to get back up to the platform. Now, you should see more wooden awnings, jump over them again, being as quick and careful as ever. Once you're on the solid platform again, jump on the boxes to the next platform. Once you're up there, look to the right and jump across to that platform. Run down the platfom to the left and RELEASE the lock. Now, go back to Main Street. Remember the cement blocks? Get back up to the turquoise awning. From the turquoise awning, you should be able to see the open doorway, jump over to the yellow awning and go through that door. Once inside, jump down to Jasmine and Jafar. CUTSCENE BOSS FIGHT: Pot Centipede HP: 600 HP EXP GAINED: 250 XP ITEMS DROPPED/WON: Ray of Light This fight is confusing. There are 2 main things to kill. The tail and the head. Also, Pot Spiders are running around the screen like crazy. Let Aladdin and Goofy deal with the Pot Spiders, just focus on the Head and the Tail portions. Use Cure whenever your life gets lowand since Donald isn't here, you'll also have to cure Aladdin and Goofy. But, when the Pot Spiders are destroyed, they often drop munny or health orbs, so be sure to pick those up as well. This boss isn't that strong, so just use normal attacks and save your MP for healing. After a certain amount of damage, the Centipede breaks up, now you have to watch out because the Head and Tail attack seperately. The tail whips it's tail around and strikes you and the head uses it's antenna's and electrocutes you with thunder. During the course of the fight, the Centipede will wander around the city of Agrabah, so just follow it and keep up the attack. CUTSCENE You heard the man! To the desert! (But save in the storage room first!) Once you reach the desert, ride the carpet. CUTSCENE BOSS FIGHT: Guardian Lion HP: 375 HP EXP GAINED: 400 XP ITEMS DROPPED/WON: None. This guy is hard! But, only because he shoots homing lasers and summons Heartless all the time. Let Aladdin and Goofy deal with the Heartless again and attack the eyes. First of all, you have to get on top of the head. So, go around back on jump your way up. It looks impossible, but you can get up there. If you have the ability Guard, you can block the lasers back at him, but if not, you can time it right so you hit the laser with a normal attack and hit them back at the lion. What really sucks is that you have to be so close to the eyes and attack it, unless you're deflecting the shots back at him that is, and the lasers can hit you so easily. Just use cure and if you really need to, equip Aladdin and Goofy with potions before the fight. Try to stay away from the lion's mouth, the Heartless it spawns comes from it's mouth and it breaths fire sometimes and it does an extremely large amount of damage. If you try to reflect the lasers back at him, they rarely hit him and do damage. When you do enough damage to one eye, it will fade out and then you'll be left with the last one. Head into the mouth now and you'll be inside the Cave of Wonders. The CoW is an extremely dangerous place. There are traps, paths by pits (but they don't kill you if you fall in them, there's a basement) and tons of Heartless. Be very careful and keep an eye out for the traps. There are often boulders running along a path, and those take a good chunk out of your life. With that said, start by running down the path in front of you and taking care of any Heartless. The first boulder trap is here, on the little inset on the ground, when run over this part of the path, run really quick and then jump onto the platform on the left when you see it, Go through the door to the next room. Destroy the Heartless and then walk down this path. There is another boulder trap against the left wall and the right wall has pit. When you reach the part of the room that has the water spitters, jump on top of the first one and then jump up and grab the platform that is above you. Go through the next door. Now in this room there is no boulder trap but there are water spitters, just jump on the first one and then go up to the platform that is above it. Now, you should run down the platform and one you see the door, defeat any Heartless and then go through it. Once in here, you'll have to take are of the Heartless before you can do anything. Once done with them, you'll want to EXAMINE the pillar against the back wall. Well, now, is there anything left to explore? Exit this room and jump into the first pit you encounter.Don't worry, it'll only bring you to the basement and it won't hurt you. When you first appear in the basement, you'll be in the Silent Chamber. You will see stairs behind you, a darkened doorway and a little waterfall thing. Go through a darkened doorway and you'll see an old friend--a save point! Joy! But, now, you're almost stuck here. Your only choice is to go back upstairs through the stairs by the save point. You're going to appear in the Hall (the 2nd room of the CoW) make your way back to the 2nd to last room and jump back into the basement. This time, take the stairs behind you and you'll have a choice of going upstairs or jumping into the water on the other side of the platform. Jump into the water. Now you're in the Hidden Room. Go up onto the platform and EXAMINE the pillar. Hmm...it kinda looks familar, doesn't it? But how do you hit it from all the way on the platform? You can either use Fire magic or jump at it and hit it with your keyblade. CUTSCENE Head back to the save point and save your game. Now head back to the Treasure Room. There is another save point in the Treasure Room now, so save once you're there and then go through into the Lamp Chamber. CUTSCENE BOSS FIGHT: Jafar HP: 450 HP EXP GAINED: 600 XP ITEMS DROPPED/WON: Magic Spell Blizzara Okay, even though Genie is attacking you, he has no power over what he's doing, so don't attack him and second of all, even if you wanted to, you can't. Hehe...so, attack Jafar with all you have. Jafar is an expert with magic, so when he says "Kallah la kot" or whatever he actually says, watch out because he's going to use Fire magic, but it comes out like a laser beam. But, this is a perfect time to attack him because he's preoccupied. So, jump up onto his platform, get behind him and slash at him. If you have Sonic Blade equipped, use it when you get close enough. Genie tends to follow you around, so watch out and when he says "I'm really sorry about this!", "Run!", "Please keep moving! I don't want to hit you!" or "Watch out!" Dodge Roll out of the way. After Genie punches the ground, HP balls come up sometimes, so collect them while avoiding attacks. Sometimes Jafar will cast Blizzard, but this will be an actual blizzard, icicles will tornado around the center of the room. When that happens, run to the outside of the circle and stay there till it's over. Every once in a while Jafar will also cast a shield around himself which halves any damage done to him. This usually haopens after you use Gravity on him, so refrain from doing that. When Jafar stands still and says "Musa luka musabasmas" or whatever, he's going to cast Fire on his staff and then he'll have a Flame Staff for a short period of time. His staff will then deal twice as much damage as normal. After Jafar sustains a certain amount of damage, he'll start flying around the room as a little purple orb. If you press /\, Goofy and Aladdin will run and attack Jafar quicker than usual. CUTSCENE Good job, run back and save really quick in the Treasure Room. Once you've done that, head back in and seal the keyhole. CUTSCENE Great! Jafar has come back for seconds. Before you can seal the keyhole, you'll have to finish him. Looks like Jasmine is safe for now, head down into the pit. CUTSCENE BOSS FIGHT: Jafar-Genie HP: 750 HP EXP GAINED: 730 XP ITEMS DROPPED/WON: Magic Spell Fira, Ansem's Report 1, Three Wishes, Summon Spell Genie, Green Trinity. Okay, this is tricky. Not really. Jafar isn't the target, Iago the parrot is carrying Jafar's lamp around, so target the lamp and let loose. But, Jafar will still attack you by throwing molten rocks at you. When Iago stops moving to rest, now's your chance to do some big damage. Don't botehr using any magic against Iago, keyblade attacks do more damage and you'll need the MP for curing yourself because you will be hit by the rocks. Iago will start grunting and groaning and then start to rest more frequently after you hurt him enough. CUTSCENE Okay this part is fun. You get to control Carpet and fly your way out of the cave. Just avoid the pillars and falling rocks. The second part is harder because there is more falling pillars, it's a smaller area and flame pillars leap up at you. Just collect the health orbs so you stay in good health and you're done. CUTSCENE CUTSCENE Equip the Three Wishes keychain, it may not have as long of a reach as Jungle King, but it's attack is higher, deals more critical hits and is difficult to deflect. Save your game and then board the Gummi-Ship. You should head back to Traverse Town now. 3.9 TRAVERSE TOWN PART 3 My Level: 29 Head into the Accessory Shop and use the Green Trinity to open up the Synthesis Shop. Then head up and Synth one of every item, if you can. Once you did that, close out of the talk window and talk to him a second time. More items should have appeared, Synth one of every new one. NOTE: For right now, only Synth one of each, you'll thank me later when you're trying to Synth enough items to Synth the Ultima Weapon. After you've done that, go talk to Cid and buy SysUp1, and ComSys2 (if you haven't already) and finally, ComSys3. This is also a good chance to level up if you want. There are new accessories in the Accessory Shop and new weapons for Donald and Goofy in the Item Shop. Also, be sure to check out the Dalmation's house to get some rewards, if you've been collecting the Dalmation puppies, that is. Once you're done, warp back to Agrabah, but don't disembark, choose the Select World choice when you get there. You now have a choice that will affect where Monstro appears throughout the game. If you choose the upwards path to Halloween Town, Monstro will appear there and the same goes for the bottom path to Atlantica. I'd choose the bottom path because Atlantica has a lower battle level and that's where you'll want to go next anyways. 3.10 MONSTRO My Level: 30 Just let me be the first to say that Monstro is one messed up whale! CUTSCENE CUTSCENE Follow Pinocchio to Geppetto's wrecked ship. CUTSCENE After it ends, save your game and go through the door that Pinocchio went through. Now, Monstro can be very confusing, so I'll do this chamber by chamber. There will be Heartless in every chamber, remember that. Chamber 1 CUTSCENE Guess ya gotta find Riku and Pinocchio now...great, There are two doors, take the left door. Chamber 2 Go through the door at the opposite side of the room. Chamber 3 Do not fall off this platform or else you'll have to start over. So, basically, don't start slashing wildly. Once you're finished, go through the door that is on the same platform as you are, Chamber 2 Go through the door on the platform, there is only one so it can't be too confusing. Chamber 5 Go through the door on the other side of the room. Chamber 6 This chamber is SOOOO confusing because it has about 5 doors in it and the Barrel Spiders don't help. Destroy the Heartless then head through the top door labeled Chamber 5. Chamber 5 Okay, yeah we backtracked but you have to do it. Go through the door on the platform you are on. Chamber 4 CUTSCENE CUTSCENE Save your game and go after Riku and Pinocchio! You don't have to worry about equipping yourself, it's an easy fight coming up, you have a surprise helper so just head through the door that Pinocchio went through. CUTSCENE BOSS FIGHT: Parasite Cage HP: 450 HP EXP GAINED: 500 XP ITEMS DROPPED/WON: Goofy learns ability Cheer. Ooh! What's this!? Riku is helping you! With 3 party members and yourself, this boss fight is really easy! Just use normal attacks and cure yourself with cure (duh!) and save your magic for just curing. Parasite Cage is only vunerable from the front and you'll also have to jump up to get it or have Aerial Sweep equipped. The only attack PC has is swiping at you with the 2 tentacles, so just swing and most likely you'll block them and get tech points. CUTSCENE Jump down the hole Riku and Pinocchio went down. CUTSCENE Open the chest by Geppetto to receive Shared Ability High-Jump. Save your game and chase down Riku! From the ship, go back to the part of Monstro you FIRST began in, turn around and look back towards the ship. To the left is the platform from the cutscene that had water draining, on it is a Blue Trinity, swim to it and get on it. Jump from that platform to the one in the center. Be sure you have equipped High-Jump! Now, jump up to a higher platform that is on the platform you just jumped from. From here you have a full view of the room. Open the chest behind you to get a summon gem. Now, head back to Geppetto and save. Head to the front of the ship and look to the right, see that little outsticky platform? Jump to it. Turn to the right and then jump to that platform, jump to the pink platform, then to the next one and go through the door. Now you must jump up all the platforms to get to the top of the throat. There are Heartless on every platform so you'll most likely fall to the bottom whenever you fight them. Just struggle to the top, and if all else fails, don't fight, just jump. But, if you're going to fight, don't do combos, just do single strikes, that way there is less chance of you falling to the bottom. When you get to top, you're automatically sucked into the stomach. CUTSCENE BOSS FIGHT: Parasite Cage HP: 900 HP EXP GAINED: 1000 XP ITEMS DROPPED/WON: Magic Spell Stop. Same as last time, except you've lost Riku and PC is twice as strong. Save all MP for Cure and watch out for the yellow around where you're standing, it hurts. Just get in front of the cage and jump and strike it or have Aerial Sweep equipped. The tentacles are a little quicker this time. (Or so it seems...) But you should still be able to deflect them easily. The tentacles also attack together with one swing instead of two seperate. Once you hurt it enough, it'll tilt back and it's mouth will open. Switch targets and hit the orb in it's mouth. HP orbs will fall out, collect them when the mouth closes and then continue attacking. When it's almost killed, it will stand on it's tentacles and handstand and bite at you. Just Dodge Roll underneath it if you can or go into the yellow, it'll hurt less. CUTSCENE CUTSCENE Monstro will now spit you back out and you'll head back towards Agrabah automatically. Choose Select World and go to Traverse Town. There is also another Tournament being held! Yippee! For help with the Tournment, consult the Side-Questsportions of this FAQ/Walkthrough. Hopefully, you did pick up the Summon Gem and Torn page inside Monstro. 3.11 TRAVERSE TOWN PART 4 My level: 31 Just a few things you have to check out. Merlin's House, Synth shop, any item purchases whether it be Items or Accessories, Geppetto's house is now taking space in the empty lot behind the Accessory shop, Cid's Shop for Gummis and do any leveling up you want to do. When you talk to Geppetto, he gives you tons of Gummi-Ship blueprints he made up! There is also the Keychain Wishing Star in a treasure chest. But, it's strength and reach are really bad so I advise that you don't equip it. When you go to Merlin's return the torn page. For information on the Storybook sidequest, consult the 100 Acre Woods section of this FAQ/Walkthrough. Also, talk to Merlin to get the Spellbinder Keyblade, but that is another Keyblade I wouldn't use. It's attack is too low. Although, it does enhance magic and summon power and raise max MP by 2...I take that back use it if you want. It seems fairly decent. Have your summon gem turned into a summon by speaking to the Fairy God Mother. Whenever you get done here, head back to Agrabah and then continue towards Atlantica, hopefully, you won't be interuppted again. 3.12 ATLANTICA My level: 34 Let's just hope Donald knows what he's doing...well looks like you made it down okay. CUTSCENE Well, now you have a tutorial on how to swim and it will also apply later on when you learn to fly, so remember these controls! Just swim to all the places that Flounder is at and you'll finish the test quickly. After you're done... CUTSCENE ...and some Heartless appear. Use your new swim ability and finish the jellyfish Heartless off. Then, go EXAMINE the shell that Flounder and Sebastian hid it. Hit it once and it'll open up. Ariel is pretty much useless in this level, the only thing she's good for is a free item shop that has 3 potions, 2 ethers, 2 Protect Chains, and a Thunder Ring. Steal it and keep Donald and Goofy with you this time. Now, follow the Trident markers to get to the palace. When you get to the Undersea Valley... CUTSCENE And then you'll start swimming again, but watch out because Heartless appear again. All you have to do is follow the markers and you'll eventually reach the palace. Watch out for the upwards current in the Calm Depths, or else you'll be pushed back up to the Valley. When you get to Triton's Palace, you'll encounter a new Heartless and it's stronger than others. Head straight through this room to the other side and enter Triton's Throne Room. CUTSCENE Once you have control of Sora again, head back to the Undersea Gorge and go Ariel's Grotto. Go to the left of the door you just came through, and you should see Ariel's Grotto. Check out all the treasure chests in this room and you should turn up a Torn-Page. After you're done talk to Flounder and then leave the room. CUTSCENE If you want, you can take the Dolphin for a spin. GRAB ON when it comes close and then press O to get off whenever you want. Now, head back to the Undersea Valley and get on the Dolphin. Eventually, he'll swim against the strong current and you'll end up at the Sunken Ship. Swim into the Sunken Ship. CUTSCENE Swim over to the treasure chest and try to open it...uh-oh! Big shark! Now, open the chest and then go outside the ship. You can avoid the boss fight, but I recommend that you fight him because he's simple and you get a nice chunk of XP. BOSS FIGHT: Shark HP: 150 HP EXP GAINED: 100 XP ITEMS DROPPED/WON: 2 Item Boxes (Usually contains a High-Potion and an Ether.) The only way the shark can attack you is by biting you, so just stay to the side of him and strike him. The shark turns around pretty quick though, so let loose with a combo, swim away, and then do it over again. After the shark swims away, be sure that you picked up the Crystal Trident from inside the Sunken Ship. Once you're sure you go it, return to Ariel's Grotto. If you go through the Undersea Valley, the shark might appear again! Uh-oh! The shark has a second attack now, he quick spins and tail slaps you! Just swim out of the way after every combo and you should be safe. As long as you're here in the Valley, go to the Tranquil Grotto and save. Now, head to Ariel's Grotto. But, when you get to the Grotto, the shark might be here again! Won't he learn? BOSS FIGHT: Shark HP: 150 HP EXP GAINED: 100 XP ITEMS DROPPED/WON: 2 Item Boxes (Usually contains a High-Potion and an Ether.) The only way the shark can attack you is by biting you, so just stay to the side of him and strike him. The shark turns around pretty quick though, so let loose with a combo, swim away, and then do it over again. The shark has a second attack now, he quick spins and tail slaps you! Just swim out of the way after every combo and you should be safe. Now, you're inside Ariel's Grotto, swim over to the far wall. CUTSCENE CUTSCENE Now, return to the Triton's Palace. CUTSCENE Now, head to the Throne Room. CUTSCENE Okay, you have to run around a little bit more. When you're given the option to switch someone out for Ariel (the second time you're given the option actually) don't get rid of anyone. Goofy should have MP gift by now, and you'll need that and Donald will help cast magic during this fight. Head back to the Sunken Ship now. You save inside the Throne Room by opening the seashell. Now that you're in the Sunken Ship area, you've got to fight the shark again! Now, swim around the outside of the ship until you see the tip of a ship right up against a wall. Go over and EXAMINE it. Now go through the door that Sebastian opened for you. You'll have a choice between a straight path and going left, for now go straight and through the doorway. First off, equip Donald and Goofy with at least 2 Ethers each and equip a couple on yourself too, you'll need it because the next fight all depends on magic. Make sure Goofy has MP Gift equipped too. After that, hit the shell to get a save point. Save your game and then go back and take the left path. Go all the way down the left path and through the door, down that path and through that door. CUTSCENE BOSS FIGHT: Ursula, Jetsam and Flotsam HP: Ursula: 450 HP, Jetsam and Flotsam: 60 HP EXP GAINED: 1000 XP for Ursula. None for Jetsam and Flotsam. ITEMS DROPPED/WON: Shared Ability Mermaid Kick. Okay, first off, if you ever run out of MP and Goofy is being stingy or used all of his stuff on Donald, attack Jetsam and Flotsam to restore your MP. Whenever Ursula's cauldren is red, cast Blizzara on it. Whenever it's blue, cast Fira on it. After the cauldren is hit, Ursula should be stunned and you can get a couple of hit's in on her before she recovers. When Ursula throws in a bottle and a tornado comes out of the cauldren, watch out and don't bother casting any magic on it now. You'll know when Ursula is stunned because she'll stop cackling and scream. She'll also float up a little and her tentacles will go limp. Even if you knock Jetsam, Flotsam or both of them out, Ursula will eventually Cure them. If you attack Ursula when she isn't stunned, she'll start spinning around the room hitting you guys with her tentacles, and her tentacles are sharp and hurt alot. If you order Donald and Goofy to attack the cauldren (Press /\ when you're locked onto the cauldren.) Donald will usually cast the right magic against it. CUTSCENE Head back to the save point you were at before you fought Ursula. Re-equip items if you want, but this time just equip healing items. Save your game then head back to the Sunken Ship. If there are Heartless in this room, take care of them and then make sure you've equipped Mermaid Kick. When you get to the Calm Depths, use a Cottage if you need to and then use Mermaid Kick and swim through the current to the other side of the passage. Go through the opening on the otherside. CUTSCENE BOSS FIGHT: Ursula HP: 900 HP EXP GAINED: 1500 XP ITEMS DROPPED/WON: Magic Spell Thundara, Ansem's Report 3 Crab Claw. Yeah...okay. Ursula was big before, but she's HUGE now. Target her face and go up and smack her around. Use Cure when you need to and other than that, don't use magic. Ursula spits at you sometimes, and sometimes it's biting, either way, avoid it. Sometimes she has Thunder casting from above her and it hurts a little bit, there's not you can do to avoid those, so just swing and hope that you deflect it. When she casts Thunder-Rage (That's what I call it because it usually happens after you hurt her alot and she's angry) watch out because that hurts alot and you can't deflect these ones as easily. If you get too far away from her, she'll spit a Fira beam at you and you can't avoid it unless you Mermaid Kick out of the way. Sometimes, she'll blow you away from her and other times she'll suck you towards her and bite you, depending on what she does, use Mermaid Kick to go in the opposite direction.. The best strategy is the simplest: Just swim in and strike her for all you're worth and heal if you need to but Donald will usually heal you first. CUTSCENE Well, now you just have to seal the keyhole, head back to Ariel's Grotto one last time. But, save first in the Throne Room. When you get in the Grotto, head towards the thing you put the Crystal Trident in before. CUTSCENE Well, another keyhole has been sealed, but where to next? Make sure you have Crabclaw equipped, it's better than any Keyblade you have right now. Head to a save point and board the Gummi-Ship. I think a quick trip to Traverse Town is in order. Just stock up on items, Synth some items, check out Gepetto's for some more blueprints, level up a little if you think you need it, check the Dalmation's House and finally, check out Cid's for some new Gummi's if you want. Then Warp to Agrabah and then head towards Halloween Town. (Halloween Town is the upper path.) 3.12 HALLOWEEN TOWN My level: 37 CUTSCENE Check out your new clothes, cool huh? This is one of my favorite levels. There is save point right behind where you start and it's the only one you'll see for awhile, so remember where it is. After you've saved, head through the gate in front of you. CUTSCENE Looks like the Heartless are already here, attack them! Wait a second...they aren't moving and you can't attack them, what's going on!? Walk around this room for awhile till the next cutscene begins. CUTSCENE Talk to the mayor for some info on what's going on. Remember the house that coughed smoke in one of the cutscenes? Go to it and run up the stairs inside. CUTSCENE Well...you haven't had a search and find quest since...umm...okay search and find quests have been commonplace, but let's have fun anyways! If you're going to replace someone with Jack, replace Donald. But, by now, Donald is decent and Goofy is too, so I never replace them. (Except of course to steal a temporary party member's items,,,hehe who said the Keyblade master had to be pure of Heart?) Before you go anywhere, there is a Torn Page on the bookcase in the lab. Head back outside the lab. CUTSCENE Great...the Heartless seem to be for real this time, and they can attack back unlike Jack's little stage productions. Once you're back in Guillotine Square, you'll want to find Sally. From the left of the lab, there is a path that circles around the Square (That makes sense...), follow it for a few steps and you should see an iron gate, don't go in it. Go past the gate a few steps and there is another path, go into this second path, up the stairs and through this gate that leads to the graveyard. Defeat any Heartless in the Graveyard. CUTSCENE Now, head back to the lab. CUTSCENE Once you're back in the lab, talk to the professor. CUTSCENE Now, go back to the Graveyard you were just in. Remember that coffin that Lock, Shock and Barrel leapt out of? Jump into it! Heartless will appear in both the Square and the Graveyard, so be careful. After going through the coffin you'll be in a room with a giant pumpkin and the mayor. This room is also Heartless free! Go over and talk to the mayor. Now, you'll have to play a little memory game. Watch the tombstones for the ghosts and then after the 3 ghosts have appeared, touch the tombstones they have come out of, in the order they came out in. For example, if the ghosts came out like: 1st Ghost: 3rd Tombstone 2nd Ghost: 6th Tombstone 3rd Ghost: 2nd Tombstone You would EXAMINE them in that order. After it's done, open the chest that was in the pumpkin. Now, go back to the lab again and talk to the Professor. CUTSCENE Kids do the darndest things! Chase those little brats down! Head into Guillotine Square. CUTSCENE Defeat the Heartless that appear and then go save your game. Now, head to the Graveyard. CUTSCENE Then, head into the room where you talked to the mayor. To the right of the big pumpkin that exploded, there is a door, go through it. In this room there are alot of Heartless so be quick to destroy them. Go to the middle of the curly hill and EXAMINE the tombstone there. CUTSCENE More Heartless in this room. Before you go ahead, finish them off, then cross the bridge to Oogie's Manor. CUTSCENE Follow that bathtub! After you cross the bridge and get up to the big doors, EXAMINE it to make it open. Okay, I know I have a section for this, but there is a Red Trinity mark inside the doors. Hopefully, you took my advice and didn't switch someone out for Jack. This Red Trinity is TEMPORARY, meaning after a certain point in this level, it's gone. So, you better get it. See that little iron platform? Target it and cast Fira on it. When it comes back down, hop on it and ride it up and when it stops for a second, jump up and grab the platform. Becareful, if you fall, you'll have to ride the bathtub back up. (The tub is walking around the very bottom of the area now, but it's occupants are gone.) So, don't do any big combos because you'll probably fall off it. When you get to the big stairs, jump up them and go right. When you get to the very top, you'll see a tower and a door. Go through the door. CUTSCENE BOSS FIGHT: Lock, Shock and Barrel HP: Lock: 150 HP, Shock: 120 HP, Barrel: 180 HP. EXP GAINED: The XP gained varies on the order they are defeated. So, this is how it goes. Barrel: First/Second defeated: 24 XP Last defeated: 240 XP Lock: First/Second defeated: 18 XP Last defeated: 180 XP Shock: First/Second defeated: 12 XP Last defeated: 120 XP ITEMS DROPPED/WON: None. Just target whichever and hit them. Tell Donald and Goofy to focus on a different one. Use Cure if they hurt you enough, but they are very weak Bosses. They only have basic strike attacks, but they run around constantly and one of them even jumps around. The only thing you have to worry about is their height. They are so short that some, if not most, of your combos will end up going right over their heads. After you beat them, save your game and then strike the lever by Lock. Now, head outside the playroom. Head back to the bridge you started Oogie's Manor on. Go to the door that you went through before. (The one with the Red Trinity nearby.) Don't go in this door. Turn around and face the bridge. To your right, ou should see a cage and a platform. Jump over to the LEFT of the platform, not on it. Now, walk around this path of rocks and should see a green door. Make sure you're equipped and healed and go through it. CUTSCENE BOSS FIGHT: Oogie Boogie HP: 450 HP EXP GAINED: 2500 XP ITEMS DROPPED/WON: Holy Circlet, Ansem's Report 7. After a not-so-dramatic cutscene, you'll be thrown into Oogie's Torture Roulette. If he throws dice in at you, strike them back at him. he spawns Heartless every now and then, so finish those off when they come. When he starts walking around the circle and the button lights are on.--The buttons are the things on the inside of the roulette--step on the button the lines up with him. Cage bars appear and it will elevate you to his level so you can get in a couple of combos before he can hit you back down. Oogie also hits buttons and starts some torture devices, like blades that come down from the ceiling and guns. If it's the blades, jump over roll underneath them, if it's guns, stand in the corner and hope you don't get hit. Genie is a good summon to use in this fight because of his SHOWTIME attack and so does Simba because CHARGE-UP and PROUD ROAR attack everywhere on the screen. But, the others are pretty useless. When he's almost dead, he'll start to make the roulette spin in the opposite direction of the way he's walking. CUTSCENE BOSS FIGHT: Oogie's Manor HP: 40 HP per orb. EXP GAINED: 2500 XP ITEMS DROPPED/WON: Magic Spell Gravira, PumpkinHead. Okay there are some black orbs around the house that need to be taken out. Watch out because fire is spraying everywhere and Heartless appear constantly. Starting from the front of Oogie, go to the left a little and behind a group of pumpkins is a platform (it kinda looks like stairs) you should jump up to. Jump to the tin above the stairs and then to the thing to your right. There is a cloth thing to the left now, jump up and go around it. To the left of the split in the path is an orb, turn around and go right this time. There is another orb here. Destroy it, hop over the metal thing, and above a yellow outcropping is another orb. Be really quick and run across the next planks. Why do you have to be fast? Because they tilt to make you fall off. Hop up to the next platform for another orb. Jump off Oogie and stand in front of him again. Jump on his right foot and up to the next platform. Jump up these platform to the next orb. Then, you'll see an outcropping behind the orb you just destroyed. Do a crooked jump INTO the outcropping. And then, jump on top of the outcropping. Jump to the otherside of it and destroy the orb. Jump off of Oogie and then go around behind his right side. There is a log thingy that you can jump onto and go around. Jump over to the wooden thing, and this is the last orb. CUTSCENE Another keyhole sealed, at last! Equip PumpkinHead and then go back to Guillotine Gate and save your game, then board your Gummi-Ship. Once in your Gummi-Ship, go to Traverse Town to stock up and then head to the world after Halloween Town. 3.14 NEVERLAND My level: 40 Uh-oh! That pirate ship is going to catch you! CUTSCENE CUTSCENE CUTSCENE Like I said the last couple times, don't bother switching out, unless it's for stealing his items. But, if you're golng to swap someone out, let Donald warm the bench this time. After that's done with, save your game. Now, head to the door Tinker Bell unlocked. There will be two new types of Heartless, Pirates and Shadow Sora. Defeat them, and then head up the ladder to the next level and go through the door on the right. Now, defeat the Heartless in here and then jump down the hole. Another batch of Heartless and this time it's a big group. Finish them off, and then head up the ladder that is in the corner of the room. CUTSCENE CUTSCENE CUTSCENE When those end, don't go through the door, instead, head to the opposite side of the room and jump up on the shelf. You should see two holes in the netting that you can jump through. Jump through the one on the right to get to a save point. Then, go back down and go through the other hole. You should now be in a room with 3 doors. Go to the center of the room. CUTSCENE But, the only door that you can open is the one that leads to the save point. Go back to the save point and if you switched party members, get back Donald or Goofy so you have both of them. Now, use the green Trinity that is next to the save point. Now, climb up the ladder. CUTSCENE BOSS FIGHT: Shadow Sora HP: 750 HP EXP GAINED: 2000 XP ITEMS DROPPED/WON: Raven's Claw. Okay this fight is tougher than a normal Shadow Sora. When Shadow Sora splits into a bunch of Shadow Soras, you will know which one is real because of the lifebar size. (Let's hope you have Scan equipped.) Just hit the real one once and the fake ones will disappear. Shadow Sora likes to flatten against the ground like a normal Shadow and come up behind you, just Dodge Roll away when it flattens. When it flattens, you will lose your Lock On, so that's a good sign to Dodge Roll. Shadow Sora's normal attack is YOUR 3 hit combo. So, just use Guard or attack at the same time and you should deflect it. Just use physical attacks on Shadow Sora for two reasons. 1. Magic does not do alot of damage to him and 2. Shadow Sora does alot of damage and you will need to Cure yourself alot. If you want, you can use a special attack like Strike Raid or Sonic Blade to deal a big chunk of damage at one time. CUTSCENE Now, EXAMINE the trapdoor in front of the door that was behind Riku in the cutscene. Jump down the trapdoor. CUTSCENE Save your game. Looks like that the trapdoor is a little to high up to jump to, looks like you gotta take the door. Remember this room? Head back up to the room you fought Shadow Sora in. For those that are having trouble, use these directions. Exit the room that you jumped into from the trapdoor. On the right side of this room is another door, go through it and up the ladder. Once you're back in the room you fought Shadow Sora in, take the door that was behind Riku in the cutscene. CUTSCENE It's best to switch Donald out for Peter Pan now, he's stronger and you have another bossfight coming up. Okay, now you can fly! Use it during this fight because there are alot of Heartless and alot of them are flying Heartless. Now, finish all the Heartless off. CUTSCENE BOSS FIGHT: Captain Hook HP: 900 HP EXP GAINED: 3400 XP ITEMS DROPPED/WON: Ability Ars Arcanum, Ansem's Report 9, Navi-G Piece, Summon Spell Tinkerbell, Fairy Harp, Shared Ability Glide. Let Peter Pan and Goofy handle the Heartless ships, you focus on Captain Hook. But, if they don't listen (which they don't sometimes) make sure you destroy the ships. It will make the fight easier and you get alot of XP and Munnies for them. Don't worry about falling off the boat, if you hit the water, Fly automatically starts. Again, save your magic for using Cura. (You got Cura in thee cutscene with Peter Pan, remember?) No summons work really well in this fight. If you want, you can use Stop magic on Hook to freeze him, but it only lasts for 2 seconds, if even. Your best bet for hurting Hook is using normal combos or a special attack. All Hook can do is summon pirate ship Heartless and strike with his sword, so just use Guard. CUTSCENE CUTSCENE CUTSCENE One of the clocks is off by 3 hours on Big Ben. Nothing a few strikes from your Keyblade won't fix! Target the hand on the clock that is off and hit it 3 times. CUTSCENE CUTSCENE CUTSCENE CUTSCENE After all of that, equip the Fairy Harp, Glide, and rearrange your abilties so you can equip ARS ARCANUM. This is my favorite special attack in the whole game, so I'll be using it alot and trust me, it helps alot. Fly to the top of Big Ben and use the save point to return to your Gummi-Ship. Well, another tournament is going on and you NEED to go to Traverse Town this time. 3.15 TRAVERSE TOWN PART 5 My level: 41 Okay first off, go talk to Cid. CUTSCENE After that, buy anything you need in town, synth some stuff and level up if you want to. Now, board your Gummi-Ship. When you get into your Gummi-Ship, Donald and Goofy talk about Goofy to past worlds and collecting new stuff because you have all those new abilities you didn't have before. The choice is up to you, but Goofy does have a point. You get new items, and you can level up a little bit. But, one thing you HAVE to do is seal the Keyhole at Olympus Coliseum, and to do that, you're going to have to compete in the Hercules Cup. I'm going to help you seal Olympus Coliseum's Keyhole, so head there first. 3.16 OLYMPUS COLISEUM PART 2 My level: 42 Make sure you have enough items equipped and then talk to Phil and choose Hercules Cup. HERCULES CUP--9 Seeds NOTE: Throughout this tournament, do not use magic unless it is to heal yourself, and even then, try to let Donald heal you or use an item to heal yourself because you will need the MP later on. Or, carry alot of Ethers. 9th Seed DUSK VANGUARD Gargoyle x 5 Shadow x 3 Just attack these guys like you normally would. Save your magic, only use physical attacks. 8th Seed MINIONS OF HORROR Wight Knight x 4 Air Pirate x 1 Barrel Spider x 2 Go after the barrel first or else it will explode into your back and hurt you bad. Then go for the Air Pirate, then clean up the Knights. 7th Seed BUCCANEERS Battleship x 1 Pirate x 4 Go after the battleship first, then go after the Pirates. 6th Seed STRAY PHANTOM Gargoyle x 4 Wight Knight x 3 Go after the Gargoyle's first because they spit orbs that lock onto you and even if they miss, they bounce around the arena. After you get them, finish the Knights. 5th Seed MAD TRUFFLE Rare Truffle x 1 Not really a fight, the Rare Truffle is like a White Mushroom, except he likes being in the air, so hit him upwards with your keyblade, or just hit him while he's on the ground to end this, you won't get his cool items here in the Coliseum anyways. 4th Seed CLOUD Cloud BOSS FIGHT: Cloud HP: 450 HP EXP GAINED: 500 XP ITEMS DROPPED/WON: Metal Chocobo. First of all, you HAVE to win the fight this time. Again, don't use magic and hopefully you did equip Ars Arcanum when I told you to or else you're going to have trouble. Save your potions for later if you can, let Donald heal you, hopefully he has MP left or Goofy gives him some MP with MP Gift. When Cloud leaps up and then impales the ground, don't Dodge Roll, instead use ARS ARCANUM. Cloud also likes to stab forwards while sliding, and then doing a 3 hit combo. Just Dodge Roll out of the way, then come up behind him and let loose with a combo or Guard against it and then attack him while he's recovering. If you jump at Cloud to hit him from the air, he'll most likely jump back to avoid and possibly counterattack with that slide/stab thing or the impale the ground thing. When Cloud swings, use Guard to deflect his attack, this causes him to stop and you can get a good combo in on him then. After you do alot of damage to him, Cloud uses a new attack. He powers up and then flys around the arena, swinging at you and he's near invincible the whole time, not even Arcanum can hurt him now. Just Dodge Roll or Guard until he powers down, and then it's back to normal. 3rd Seed DARK SQUADRON Wight Knight x 1 Gargoyle x 2 Pirate x 2 Air Pirate x 2 Here's the order to attack them in. Air Pirate, Gargoyle, Wight Knight, Pirate. 2nd Seed FLYING PIRATES Battleship x 2 Pirate x 2 Air Pirate x 1 Attack the Battleship first, then the Air Pirate, then the Pirates. 1st Seed HERCULES Hercules BOSS FIGHT: Hercules HP: 450 HP EXP GAINED: 700 XP ITEMS DROPPED/WON: Herc's Shield, Yellow Trinity, Olympia. Whenever Hercules is glowing, he is invincible. To stop him glowing, LIFT a barrel and THROW it at him. Sometimes, this even stuns him leaving him open for ARS ARCANUM or a normal combo. Use potions to cure yourself if possible, because you need the MP for Arcanum. When Herc tries to headbutt you, Guard him and when he's holding his head in pain, let loose with Arcanum or a combo. When he starts spinning around with sword in hand, Glide, Dodge Roll or Guard to prevent being hit. If he jumps up, Dodge Roll because he's going to punch the ground and the shockwave hurts. When he glows and a ring appears around him, Dodge Roll because he's about to cast an explosion. CUTSCENE Now, use the Yellow Trinity in the Coliseum. CUTSCENE Another Keyhole sealed, and some items gained, now it's time to head to Hollow Bastion, save and then board your Gummi-Ship. 3.17 HOLLOW BASTION PART 1 My level: 43 CUTSCENE Jump up each of the ice platforms to get to the top. (Duh.) Get ready for some drama and plot twists. CUTSCENE Wow.....feel like hurting someone? Don't worry, you'll get your chance. Now that you're without your Keyblade, all you have is the Wooden Sword. You can still hurt the Heartless, but it doesn't do a whole lot. Go back down and save your game, then make your way back up. When you get to the Castle Gates, the castle door is locked, so take the stairs that are on the right side a few steps past where you entered the area. Once you get down this way, EXAMINE the red flashing post and then the post that isn't flashing. Now, you're down in the basement. Don't even bother fighting the Heartless, you won't win and you'll only run out of MP which you'll need to cure yourself when you get hit when you run from them. If Beast defeats something, be sure to pick up the HP balls. If you look around there are 2 bubbles floating in this room. Take the one that is closer to the ground. Another save point and a wall that Beast can break through if you CALL. Go through the broken wall and then to the left is another bubble, take it. Once you're in the new room, there is an opening a few steps down the hall. Before the opening on the left is another wall Beast can break through if you CALL, but there is nothing you can do in here right now, so go back to the opening. Right here is a little puzzle you have to figure out. There are four switches you have to hit in order to get out of the room. The only trouble is, some of them are behind closed doors. Luckily, the switches activate those doors, here's the order to hit them in. The switch on the wall after the opening you just came through, RELEASE it. The switch on the fence by the door that just opened. The switch in the area you just opened. The switch in the new area you just opened. Now, take the bubble to the next area. RELEASE the switch in the new area you're in. Let Beast take care of the Heartless in here and then go RELEASE the switch that is on the rightside of the wall, near where the Heartless appeared. That opened the main door to the castle, so head back there and go through the door. Be sure to save in the one room on the way back. Now, go through the castle doors. CUTSCENE CUTSCENE BOSS FIGHT: Riku HP: 525 HP EXP GAINED: 2000 XP ITEMS DROPPED/WON: White Trinity. Okay! You got your keyblade back and are ready to take on Riku. Donald and Goofy have rejoined you too, so this battle will be a little easier. First off, cast Aero on yourself and if it ever runs out, cast it again. Don't use any summons (except Tinker Bell, I get to that one later.) and don't use any magic, Riku is magic proof. Use ARCANUM whenever you get close enough to Riku. Whenever Riku swings at you, use Guard to block him, this will also set him back for a few seconds and let you get a combo or ARCANUM in on him. Riku is incredibly fast, and if you have him locked on, get ready for a bumpy ride because the camera will follow his every move. Use potions to cure yourself, if you have them or let Donald do it for you. If you're really in need of health, or even down a little, there are vases on tables on first level of this room, go over to them and hit them once with your keyblade and they'll break, dropping HP balls, and sometimes MP balls. If you're really worried about dying, cast Tinker Bell at the beginning of the fight, she heals you constantly throughout the battle and if you die, she revives you once. The only thing is, when you have summon out, you can't do a special move like Ars Arcanum. When Riku jumps around, jump at him or Glide to him and intercept him with an aerial combo. Just keep repeating all of this and you should finish without any effort. CUTSCENE Now, you could put Beast in you party, and if you're going to, switch out Donald, but I don't recommend doing this, Beast may be stronger, but he has barely any MP and is pretty much useless, unless you're breaking the walls that Beast can break. Now, head up the stairs and go through the door at the top of the stairs, not the door on the left. EXAMINE the door. Hmm...time to find those pieces that go in the sockets. Go through the door that I told you not to go in before. Now you're in the Library, but you can't make your way through the shelves! This just isn't Sora's day...pick up the book on the floor in the left corner of the room. Now, put this book in the empty spot on the shelf near this book. To replace the book EXAMINE the shelf. Run up the stairs and on the table is another book and nearby the table is a save point and a Green Trinity. Use the Trinity to get another book. TAKE the book off of the farthest bookcase on the second floor. Then, EXAMINE the bookcase you just used TAKE on and you'll replace the book with the proper one. PUSH the button that appears. Behind the save point is a section of bookcases that is blocked off from the 1st floor, jump into it. Turn around and go into the darkened section. On the right side there is another set of books. TAKE the blue book. EXAMINE the same shelf, but not the slot where you got the blue book from, EXAMINE the second slot and put the book there. to put replace the book. But, one's still missing...we'll find it soon. Go all the way down the darkened section. EXAMINE the last shelf with the blue books to fill the empty space. Now, you get back out to the main part of the first floor. Go back to the first bookcase of this room and fill in the empty hole, you have the book now. Go around the bookcases and when you can take the stairs, take a left instead of the stairs and go all the way down this straight path and pick up the yellow book at the end of the path. Run upstairs and put this book on the 3rd bookcase of the left. TAKE the green book that is on the shelf that appears. Go back down and put this book in the bookcase that was missing 2 books. Grab the purple book that is on the desk that appears, then go upstairs and replace it in the empty space you took the last green book from. Now, save your game. Now, don't go through the opening where the bookcase was, instead go through the double doors that you unlocked when you pushed the big button. At first, take a left and when the first inset in the path appears, EXAMINE the stone. Hmm...maybe you should use Thundara on it. Now, there are 8 candles around the pathway, light them with Fira. You should see a small pillar with a pigs head type thing on it. EXAMINE it. You can't move it right, but you can move it left. Another pillar has a deer's head on it. Use the Red Trinity in front of it. Another pig head pillar wants you to smash the 2 vases on it's left and right. Now, go collect everything that has appeared. After you've got them all, head back to the door you EXAMINED before. EXAMINE until all the pieces are restored. CUTSCENE Now, head to the Library and save your game. But, watch out, there are Heartless now. Head back down and go through the door you opened with the emblem pieces. When you get through the door, don't EXAMINE either switch here, instead go through the door at the end of this short path. Becareful fighting the Heartless here outside, if you fall, it's a long trip back up. EXAMINE the second switch from the stairs first, then EXAMINE the other switch. Go up these stairs once you get off of the elevator and then take the big elevator by using EXAMINE on the switch. During this ride, the elevator stops sometimes and Heartless will appear. Defeat them to get a switch to appear. EXAMINE the switch to continue. Don't worry, you can't fall off the elevator. Once you're off the elevator, go up the stairs, left, down the stairs and through the doorway. EXAMINE the switch to get on this new elevator, when get to the top, go through the next door. Go to the right and EXAMINE this switch. Another group of Heartless appear up here, becareful when doing aerial combos, you don't want to fall off. Off to your left is another switch, EXAMINE it. Now, go through the door across from the elevator you got off of. Fight the Heartless in this room and then go through the next door. EXAMINE the switch in front of the door you just came through. Jump up those platforms now. Another switch is at the top, but Heartless appear when you near it, so destroy them without falling off and then EXAMINE it. Keep going around this curve by the pedistal and go through the door. In the new room, defeat the Heartless, make sure you're fully healed, HP and MP, and then go through the next door. CUTSCENE Ooh, the head honcho's coming to see ya! Head straight up into the Chapel yard. MAKE SURE THAT YOUR ARE HEALED AND EQUIPPED. CUTSCENE BOSS FIGHT: Maleficent HP: 900 HP EXP GAINED: 6000 XP ITEMS DROPPED/WON: Donald learns Ability Cheer, Ansem's Report 5. To start out with, ignore the Heartless she spawns, she'll only respawn them seconds later. Second, cast Tinker Bell at the beginning of the fight. You may not be able to use special attacks, but this is better in the long run. Maleficent is pretty much invincible, unless the rock she's riding on is shut down for a few seconds. Just target the platform she rides on and take it out with 1 of the 2 options. 1. Attack it till it comes crashing to the ground, or 2. you can cast Gravira on it and it will fall in one spell cast. After it's down on the ground, target Maleficent and hit her hard while you can. Stop works on her, so when she's grounded, use that for a few extra seconds. Also, cast Aero on yourself. When she shouts, "Meteors of heaven, release my fury!" Run and hide around the corner because those things hurt alot. They took out 1/10 of my life bar with Aero cast on me. Sometimes she'll cast Purple Thunder. When this happens, 3 purple rings appear of the ground, just be sure you aren't standing on one. When her and her platform fall and you get up to attack her, she uses her staff to hit you, so just Guard it. After you deal enough damage to her, she and her platform seperate and she flys around and then lands on her platform, you can't hurt her while she's flying and she can't hurt you, so this is a good time to heal if you need it. If want, dismiss Tinkerbell and attack Maleficent with ARCANUM. CUTSCENE Okay, there is a save point now in this room. Make sure you're equipped again and then save your game. Wow, Maleficent left the portal open for you, go through it! CUTSCENE BOSS FIGHT: Maleficent Dragon HP: 1200 HP EXP GAINED: 6000 XP ITEMS DROPPED/WON: Summon Gem Fireglow. Cast Aero the first second of the fight and then summon Tinkerbell. Maleficent smashes the ground and creates shockwaves, so just Glide till she stops. She will also spin around and tail slap you. When she breathes fire, Glide onto her back and wait it out. Also, if you need a spot to heal, the best spot to do this is on her back. The only way to do alot of damage is getting right in her face and letting combos loose for as long as you can, then running to her back and healing, or you can dismiss Tinkerbell and you ARCANUM. Be careful when you're in her face because you're right there where the fire comes from and she can claw swipe you. After a while, Maleficent will shoot fire that follows you and hits you, just Guard against it and it will fly back at her and damage her. This is a good technique to do because you get 119 TechPoints if you block the fire. If there ever is a line of fire on the ground, it acts like a wall that you cannot go through, sometimes this will block you up against a wall, just heal, have Aero cast and hope it fades quickly or try to Glide over it, depending on how high the fire is, you might not be able to Glide over it. When she's almost dead, she sprays fire in every direction, just Dodge Roll and jump around it, or Glide onto her back and then just be sure you have Aero cast, you're healed and then stay in front of her and wail on her till she drops. CUTSCENE Head back to the Chapel to save. After you've done that equip some potions and some ethers, then go through the door that has appeared by the save point. Fight the Heartless in this new room and then go through the other door. Head up the stairs once you're in the Grand Hall. CUTSCENE BOSS FIGHT: Riku HP: 900 HP EXP GAINED: 8500 XP ITEMS DROPPED/WON: Sora learns Ability Ragnarok. First a question. Are you good using Guard? If so, before you do any damage to Riku, just let him attack you and just Guard the attacks. You can do this forever and he'll never change his attack pattern. Cast Aero right away and remember, your summons are disabled during this fight. Use ARCANUM for as long as your MP lasts, and use your Potions to heal, not Cura if you can prevent it. Riku has the same attack that Cloud did, remember the leap/stab the ground thing? Just Dodge Roll or jump to avoid it. Whenever Riku uses a normal slash or stab, use Guard. Unfortunetly, Riku isn't stunned by the block and will continue like normal. When Riku turns blurry and starts attacking like crazy, use Guard constantly and don't attack. When he shoots the blade projectiles, Guard again. When Riku says, "Open your heart to Darkness." He'll glow and start to teleport around the room. Just Glide during this part, healing when you take damage--and you will--and when he does the final part of this attack, just be sure you're not standing where the pillar of energy is errupting from. CUTSCENE CUTSCENE CUTSCENE Okay, now you're playing as a Shadow. Your objective right now is to find Kairi, Donald and Goofy. Exit the Grand Hall. You don't have to worry about fighting or getting hurt while playing at the Shadow, nothing happens. When you get to the Lift Stop (right outside the Grand Hall) jump down a floor and take the door that is underneath the door you entered this room from. Just jump off the balcony here, you can't use the elevator. Now you'll have appeared on a platform, jump off this one too. You should land on or near some stairs, if not, just jump off of whatever you're on and fall down to the next level. But, if you did land on the stairs, go up them and then down the next set of stairs on the right and jump off here. You should land on a platform by the main door to the castle, but, the platform isn't directly connected to the main entrance. To get inside the castle, go down the nearby stairs and through the door on the left. You will end up in the Lift Stop, go through the door at the end of the path and you should end up at the Main Hall. Uh-oh, Donald thinks he can take care of you, and guess what, he probably could, seeing as how you can't attack! Just run up to Kairi, Goofy and Donald. CUTSCENE NOTE: You are automatically transported to Traverse Town now. 3.18 TRAVERSE TOWN PART 6 My level: 49 CUTSCENE Talk to everyone in this room. After you're done talking, head to the First District. Becareful! All the Heartless in all the worlds now are extremely strong, even stronger than the Heartless in Hollow Bastion! Once you're in the First District, go and talk to Cid. Now, go to the Secret Waterway. Remember where you talked to Leon earlier in the game? Go there. Go down to the end of the hall and take the left turn to get the Gummi. CUTSCENE Head back towards Kairi. CUTSCENE Equip the Oathkeeper, it's probably the best Keyblade you have right now. Now, head back and give Cid the Navi-G. Be sure to check out the Accessory Shop, Item Shop and Synthesis Shop and equip yourselves. After you're done with all of that, board your Gummi-Ship and head back to Hollow Bastion using the new Warp Hole that is inbetween Traverse Town and Olympus Coliseum. A quick note, now you can face some of the optional bosses like Kurt Zisa in Agrabah and The Phantom in Neverland. 3.19 HOLLOW BASTION PART 2 My level: 50 Okay, unfortunetly, you can't go directly to the Castle Chapel, too bad huh? That means disembark to Rising Falls. Head up the platforms again and then go to the gate that brings the elevator down. Head through the main castle doors, but finish the Heartless first. Once you're inside the castle, go in the library and save. After you save, walk over by one of the bookcases and a cutscene should start. CUTSCENE Talk to
