There are a few items that are in Chinese that I could not find an English
translation.This is my first guide but there may be a few mistakes so if
find some let me know.

The controls are mostly the same as in the previous games but there are a few
tweaks here and there. The edition of the duel, the different types of siege
weapons, the taunt and the blast attack are just a few new things you can
mess with.
The duel is one of the coolest things that were added to this game. A duel is
started when an enemy challenges you to a duel, the only bad part you can’t
challenge them. To start the duel press the X button or if you don’t feel that
confidant or you aren’t leveled up enough then don’t risk it. During the fight
it is only you and he. You start with pretty equal stats along with the same
amount of musou. The last one standing is the winner.
Here are a few tips to help with a duel. Never challenge Lu Bu unless you are
almost maxed in every statistic because he is extremely difficult. If you think
you have what it takes then try but be forewarned he is the greatest I think of
all characters in the duel. He is tough to beat because his charge attack is
almost unstoppable. If he lunges at you, you can try to run or jump, if he
nabs you you’re in for some hurting but if he misses go to town on him with
everything you got. Tip: if you want weapon experience and a decent attack
power up go to Hu Lou Gate and challenge Lu Bu in Easy mode. Before the stage
equip either the lightning orb or blast if you have either of them. Only do
the blast orb with at least a level three or higher. In the duel he is pretty
easy for what he usually is. In a duel you take greater damage then your enemy
does, so if he puts a whoopin on you, you can try to run if you’re fast enough
or people have said you can run to a corner and aim your bow outside the arena
and the enemy won’t attack.
The addition of the wooden ox and the flamethrower along with the catapult make
the game a little better. The wooden ox and the flamethrower are mainly used
for shipping goods between two places with the ox carrying the goods while the
flamethrower guards it. The flamethrower deals a decent amount of damage so
never try to beat it on your own. The catapult is a weapon that you must
protect, it makes only a few appearances along with the ox and flamethrower
but their appearances are significant to the outcome of the level.
The blast attack is just another attack that every character has each one being
unique. All it is an attack that happens when you jump up and press the charge
button. You slam into the ground creating a blast that knocks the enemy back,
not that powerful but effective.

UNLOCKING LEVELS
Eliminate Zhang Jiao - Requirement: Let Zhang Jiao escapes in The Yellow
Turban Rebellion (Alternatively you can only kill
Zhang Jiao to make it happen)
Battle of Ru Nan - Requirement: Choose Battle of Hu Lao Gate as your first
choice. Kill Dong Zhuo and leave Lu Bu alive.
Guan Yu's Escape - Requirement: Select The Yellow Turban Rebellion as your
first choice in chapter 1. In Battle of Si Shui Gate
defeat Hua Xiong after Yuan Shao yells out No one can
beat Hua Xiong?
Battle of Tong Gate - Requirement: Choose Campaign for Cheng Du as your first
choice and defeat Ma Chao who appears as enemy
reinforcement.
Battle of Tian Sui - Requirement: Go straight to the battle of Chi Bi in
chapter 3 of Shu's musou mode. It'll turn up after Yi
Ling. You cant skip any other levels after chi bi till
you get past Tian Shui.
Battle of Han Zhong - Requirement: Let Dong Zhuo escape in Battle of Hu Lao
Gate and select Battle of Yi Ling or Battle of Wu Zhang
Plains as your first choice in chapter 5. Zhuge Liang
must succeed in wind calling at Battle of Chi Bi.
????? - Requirement: Defeat Lu Bu in Battle of Hu Lao Gate at chapter 2. In
Battle of Guan Du kill all officers, including Lu Bu
and trigger the event that makes Yuan Shao flee.
????? - Requirement: Defeat Lu Bu in Battle of Hu Lao Gate at chapter 2. Clear
both Battle of Bo Wan Po and Battle of Chang Ban. Do not
select Battle at Xia Pi in Chapter 3. Successfully fend
off the fire event in Battle of Chi Bi.
????? - Requirement: Let Dong Zhuo escape in Battle of Hu Lao Gate. Choose
Battle of He Fei or Battle of Wu Zhang Plains as your
first choice in chapter 5. Do not choose Battle of Wan
Castle in Chapter 3.
The Two Qiaos - Requirement: Clear Wu's musou mode once. Defeat Zhang Bo in
The Yellow Turban Fortress of Chapter 1. Defeat

in Battle of Hu Lao Gate. Fail the wind
praying in Battle of Chi Bi. Do not
select Battle of Xia Kou in Chapter 4.
Choose Battle of He Fei as your first
choice in Chapter 5.
Mai Castle - Requirement: Clear Wu Musou once, select Battle of Chi Bi as your
first choice in Chapter 4 and be successful in wind
calling. Choose Battle of Yi Ling as your first
choice in Chapter 5.

Precious Item Report: Supply team starting from the bottom left near the
castle and moves south through the gate
How To Get It: Defeat Sun Quan and enter the top castle, then defeat any three
of the following generals Sun Shang Xiang, Zhou Tai, Lu
Meng and Gan Ning.
Supply Team appearance from the bottom left of the top castle moving towards
the bottom entry point.
Survival Guide - when life is critical, attack strength x2 when getting up
after falling
Side - SUN JIAN
Item Found at: The Two Qiaos
How To Get It: Rescue in order Da Qiao and then Xiao Qiao,
Precious Item Report to the bottom left of the bridge at the
bottom of the map.
Bodyguard Manual - bodyguards become stronger

Item Found At : Guan Yu's Escape
How To Get It: You have to get Guan Yu to speak to Xiahou Dun. The easiest
way is to play as Guan Yu and defeat all the generals and
wait for Xiahou Dun after the last gate.
The Way of Musou - real musou attack regardless of HP
Side - CAO CAO
Item Found At : Guan Yu's Escape
How To Get It: Player passes the 5th gate, Supply Team Appearance to the
right of the bridge in front of the 4th gate, moving Eastward.
Power Scroll - won't lose weapon locks

How To Get It: Defeat Guan Yu and Zhao Yun, Supply Team Appearance in front
of the small square area at the top left of the map, moving
upwards and around the top of the map toward the entry point
to the right of the map.
Wind Scroll - attack radius increase

Stage: Battle of Xu Chang
How To Get It: Succeed in both protecting Yue Ying when she's setting up the
Ramp and also defeating Xu Chu's ambush-troop appearance in
the base, Sima Yi surprised by you succeeding in two separate
tasks simultaneously Precious Item Report at the top left half
of the map.
Fire Arrows - arrows become fire arrows

Stage: Unification of Jing
How To Get It: Before the enemy join forces message, defeat Wang Lang's
sub-general Zhou Xin Supply Team Appearance at the right
entrance of the left castle, moving towards top right.
Buckler - can stand damage during charge attack

Stage: Campaign Against Sun Jian
How To Get It: Enter the top castle before enemy back-up troops arrive Supply
Team Appearance South of the castle, moving towards the entry
point to the bottom left of the castle. This Supply Team is

Item Found At: Campaign against Liu Bei
How To Get It: While playing Liu Bei Invasion you should see Zhao Yun instead
of Zhang Fei like you normally would if y u were playing in
free mode. Defeat Zhao Yun and Guan Yu before the back-up
troops appear. Then enter the castle and fight Liu Bei until
the Item Report appears. You'll either need to kill his
surrounding soldiers or lower his health a little bit. Special
Item report left of the entry point in Cao Cao's castle.
Lightning - Cao Cao's horse, increases your mounted attack
Side- Lu Bu
Item Fount At: Campaign against Cao Cao
How To Get It: Circle around behind Yue Jin's secret ambush party. To do this
you must head right and down. You'll see an ambush party of Xu
Huang. Kill him, and one of your generals will inform you about
other ambush parties. Head to the rear entrance of the left
castle. Yue Jin's ambush party will run away, and after a few
minutes Xiahou Dun will appear in the empty section to the top
left area of the map. Special Item report near Cao Cao
Shadow - No one's horse, Cannot be knocked off stead
Side- Shu

How To Get It: Make Han Sui think about defecting and before he does have him
decline. This is hard so what you do is kill the four generals
down in the bottom right corner. Then when Han Sui and Cao Cao
meet up I started to defeat everyone this caused Han Sui to
decline. Special Item Report in the bottom right area of map
near right wall
Elephant - Nanman Generals stead, begin stage on slow elephant
Side- Nanman

How To Get Item: Ride an Elephant into Zhuge Liang’s camp Special Item report

Ice - Causes freeze damage that freezes opponent in place (Doesn't work 100
percent of the time)
Vorpal - Causes instant death but causes huge damage in Leaders like Lu Bu etc.
Poison - Causes extra damage when player is hit (Completely useless effect
wears off before you have time to react)
Lightning - Causes player to knock down surrounding enemies (Sometimes costs
the points gained from defeating a leader.
Blast - Causes damage to person even if they block the attack (Doesn't do
much damage to the enemy though)

should raid the supply depot in an event. When Zhuge
Liang meets Cao Cao a cut scene should occur.

to Zhang He and an event should occur. Defeat Zhang He and approach

camp.

* Before attempting musou mode play a few levels on easy to level up character
a little
* The Tortoise amulet can be a life saver as it reduces the amount of damage
you take
* For easy level up go to Lu Bu's offensive, because there are a good number of
guys and it's pretty safe to go off on your own because it will be difficult
for enemies to defeat Lu Bu by themselves and it doesn't take long either
* The seven star sash increases your chance of high level items
* Go to Yellow Turban Stage with the big castle at the bottom. While there
fight your way to the leader but don't kill him bring his life down and
then run out to the lower right side and there should be a wooden box there
that contains a item box. Before you break it save your game restart the
game and beat the leader if you don’t get the item you want just restart
and do it again till you get the desired item
* If you play a stage with Lu Bu and he has the Red Hare steal it and then run
away, when you see him again he will have another Red Hare!
* Play in free mode and when a character that you like is in trouble save him
or her. When you help he/she will say "Thanks" or "About Time". Then when
you get enough friendship status he/she will sometimes follow you and will
begin to protect you.

Your bodyguards are you best friend they can help save your life. So to repay
them give them a little boost a strong special attack. To get these you need
them to either have a full musou, life, attack, or defense bar each one
corresponds to a different special attack.
If the Hp bar is full you receive the flame attack
If the Musou bar is full you receive Lightning attack
If the Attack bar is full you receive Blast attack
If the Defense bar is full you receive Ice attack
If no bar is filled you receive nothing
To achieve max Hp put bodyguards to attack with sword through all twenty
levels
To achieve max Musou have the bodyguards use sword till spear is available
then switch to that through level twenty
To achieve max Attack use sword till halberd is available then switch to
that
To achieve max Defense use bow till crossbow is available then switch to
that
To have your bodyguard's kill more people set them to attack mode by pressing
select till a little hand appears under your picture.

As you raise your characters rank he/she will gain more slots for items, and
they will gain new costumes. Each character besides created ones have six
suits each one unique to each character.
6000 points you gain 1 item slot and you second costume
20000 pints you gain 1 item slot and your third and fourth costumes
60000 you gain 1 item slot and your fifth and sixth costumes
As you raise your rank generals will challenge you to a duel more frequently
but sometimes it is a predetermined duel like Lu Bu's challenge in Hu Lao
Gate.
As you gain rank you gain better weapons and as that happens you gain more
attacks and stronger attacks. Once you get to level nine weapon you must
unlock that weapon. For info on how read my Weapons section.
