V. .30 -- 2-16-- I made up the Guide. Made all the basis for it. Included the
Characters that I've encountered so far. I've completed about 20% of the game
thus far. I've included Items that I've acquired as well and some information
about the Enemies encountered as well. I also made up a Combat Section and some
Single Attacks.

V. .35 -- 2-19 -- I added a few more things, and I got to the Second Disc on
Xenosaga and played it a bit more after that. Not much, but still a worthy
update.

V. .40 -- 2-21 -- I updated some things. Like the Skills section and I did more
of the Walkthrough and I added a Double Ether secion. I also finished the
Double Attacks as well. Good update, I'll say.

V. .50 -- 2-24 -- Today, it's snowing in the state of Delaware, and since the
college was closed AND I don't have to work, I decided to write more of my FAQ,
a whole lot more. I've included a A.M.W.S. section, and progressed more in the
actual Walkthrough. I also included Level 2 Skills.

V. .55 -- 2-24 -- Continued Walkthrough.

V. .65 -- 3-1 -- Done the GS Campaigns!

V. .80 -- 1-10 -- Continued Walkthrough.

V. .90 -- 3-9 -- Continued Walkthrough.

V. .91 -- 6-2 -- Added a way to print this Guide at the bottom near "Contacts",
finished the Guide, made the Boss Battles more easily distinguished from the
rest of the Guide, and spell checked it. Apparently, I can't spell "destroy",
"available", or "experience"...

=About This Guide=
==================

(XS002)

In this I'll cover the enemies, the characters, possibly the accessories, the
bosses and especially the guide as a "Whole." It is only to be used for the
Xenosaga II video game for the PlayStation2.

This guide will not cover the first Xenosaga video game, or Xenogears. So, if
you're here looking for either, you've chosen the wrong game. And, if you
pre-ordered this game like many of us, you'll get a DVD with all the cinemas
from the first Xenosaga anyway. I'm sure that someone has a transcript of it
somewhere...

Also to note, if you want a printable version of this guide, simply open up
Microsoft Word, change the font to "Courier" or "Courier New" and change the
font size to Eight (8). These settings will keep the Guide in its original
condition.

==================
=About The Author=
==================

(XS003)

This is my third FAQ, but this is my first "walkthrough" FAQ ever, and it's
my first RPG FAQ as well -- Yeah, I know, I'm a genius *Sarcasm*.

Hmm, my name is Joe Z. I've graduated from High School and I currently go to
College. I also work part-time, so you know that's a strain on me too, and the
only way to get away from the real world is to write. So, when I finished my
first FAQ, I felt a great sensation of myself, and the next day, I wrote another
guide in a mere three days. And now, after about 9 days of waiting, Xenosaga
II finally came out, and now I'm working on this as well!

When I get done this guide, it'll be a major accomplishment in my FAQing
career here on GameFAQ's. I thank you already for just clicking on it...

========
=Combat=
========

(XS004)

The Combat in Xenosaga II is very different from any other RPG. While the first
Xenosaga had a very good Battle System, Xenosaga II improves on that, with some
combos and better Ether abilities.

------------
-The Basics-
------------

(XSC00)

The Battle System in Xenosaga II is turn-based. Basically, whoever is the
fastest character gets the first strike, and then it chooses who's next in
descending order. This means that the enemy can have a chance to strike first,
or even multiple enemies. Since this is not Active-Time based, time does not
pass while you're selecting your moves, however, once you select the move and
it plays out, then time moves. For instance, if a enemy is knocked down, you
only have a limited time to react before the enemy gets back up. Also, you can
press the X button for a Menu. Which brings up "MOVE", 'DOUBLE ATTACK, "ITEMS",
and "ETHER".

---------------------
-Turns and Attacking-
---------------------

(XSC01)

As I've mentioned earlier, Xenosaga II is made up of Turn-Based actions. The
time does not flow while selecting your moves and what you want to do. The
turns are based on the speed of your characters. You'll see who's turn it is in
the lower right hand corner. The pictures represent your characters and the
letters -- M, G, B -- represent the enemies; Whoever is more to the left is
the characters turn.

When it is your characters turn, you'll be prompted by a little window. In this
window shows your characters attacks and what they can do. The actions may
consist of Square, Triangle and Circle. X brings up the menu. The Square and
Triangle attacks allows two separate attacks, while a Circle is only one
attack. When you attack your opponent, you have a chance to "Break" them. The
Square is Zone-B and Triangle is Zone-C. Some attacks may be either/or,
depending how big the enemy is, and Circle is Zone-A.

----------
-Stocking-
----------

(XSC02)

Under your Characters Stat in the Battle Screen is a little Stock Gauge. You
can count these as additional Attacks that use the Circle Button. You can
raise your Stock by selecting Stock in your Menu, or by chance by "Breaking"
an enemy. And by raising up your stock, you can deal additional damage, or you
can throw the enemy to the ground or in the air, depending on your character's
abilities. While the enemy is in the air, or smashed in the ground, then it
gives you an opportunity to deal more damage! These type of abilities are only
available on a Fully Stocked Character. You can only have three Stocked
attacks.

Stocking also allows the usage of Double Attacks, which are very deadly and
will be explained later in this Guide.

------------------------
-Enemy Types and Breaks-
------------------------

(XSC03)

Like I explained earlier, the enemy has enemy types. However, there are only
three Enemy types, they don't end there. Anyway, if you don't know, or you
don't remember, the Enemy Types are B - Biological, M - Mech, and G - Gnosis.
These are mainly exploited through the usage of Ether spells, which target
certain Types of Monsters. Usually B and G or just M. Also to note, that all
the characters have certain abilities to their Attacks. For instance, Ziggy
has Fire in most of his attacks, and through commonsense, one can assume that
Fire is strong against Biological enemies. And Pierce, which MOMO has, might
be effective against Mechanical enemies.

Well, we're not done yet. Some enemies have the ability to fly, which give
ground-characters (Like Ziggy) no chance to attack, while MOMO and Shion can
deal additional damage to them.

Each enemy also has a set that must be exploited to "Break" them. Such a set
might be BB. All you have to do is attack the enemy with a BB combo and they
will "Break" -- Allowing for more damage, Double Attacks and Comboing to be
done. Some enemies might have AABC, which will take two characters to deal.
First, you'll have to Stock MOMO/Shion and attack with Ziggy on his turn. On the
next turn, attack the enemy with MOMO with two Circle attacks (AA), Boost
Ziggy and attack with a Square Triangle (BC) to Break them, then the next
character can go in and finish the job with Ether, Double Attack, or a stocked
attack. The possibilities are almost endless!

If you break the enemy enough times, you might just earn a Break Bonus. Which
is random, and gives your character a Stock.

----------
-Boosting-
----------

(XSC04)

Boosting is quite simple, but can get complicated for any gamer who hasn't
played the first Xenosaga. If you played this game and wonder how the heck do
enemies attack you while it's your turn, it's because the enemy has boosted.
Do not worry, you can boost too! On the bottom right, there is a little gauge,
which is above the enemies boosting gauge. As your characters attack, your
Boost Gauge will fill up. Once it reaches all the way across, a "1" will
appear, which is the signal to tell you that a character can Boost. You can
continue this until it reaches "3" which is the maximum, unless you use an
item that forces it above 3.

When you have a character attacking, you can press the R1/R2 trigger to bring
up a window to show you who's available to boost. The left is Square, the
middle is Triangle, and the right is Circle. Whoever is in the apporiate
highlighted square is who you can choose to Boost. If someone is in the queque
waiting for their turn, you cannot select that person for Boosting.

Boosting allows you to take your turn directly after the previous turn,
regardless if an enemy is attacking next. Boosting also gives you the
opportunity to use Double Attacks and nice Combo's to Break an enemy.

Boosting is essential to Xenosaga, and beating it's Boss'.

---------------------------------
-Double Attacks and Ether Combos-
---------------------------------

(XSC05)

New Double Attacks are learned through certain Awakening Books that you can
steal from Various Boss's. Double Attacks can only be used during battle and
the requirements for most of them are difficult. For instance, character A
may need three stocks and character B may need two stocks. You must Stock
each character, and atleast earn one boost to allow for a Double Attack. Now,
without taking action, let character A boost Character B, and now attack with
character A, while character A is fighting, and Character B is boosted, select
Menu and click on Double Attacks, then choose the desired Attacks and you'll
automatically execute it. Sounds complicated, but it's rather simple.

Ether Combos are the same as Double Attacks as they way that they must be
done with Stocking and Boosting. To select one, though, you must go into the
Menu and select "ETHER". Scroll over to the desired Ether and press Triangle.
If you can use it, the Skill will appear in the new Menu. Select the Skill to
use it.

-------------
-Event Slots-
-------------

(XSC06)

On the bottom right, to the left of the Character that has a turn is the Event
Slot. There are four slots. They are in order as they appear.

CTC -- It has a color Red to it. Hits when this is shown have an increased 50%
of being critical. This is true even during Double Attacks, which will greatly
determine the outcome of the battle.

BST -- It has the color blue to it. Hits when this is up put more towards to the
Boost Gauge then they normally do. A fully stocked character can practically
maximize the Boost Gauge in one turn!

SKL -- Green in color, if you defeat an enemy while this is up, then you'll
earn skill points x 2 to x 10, which is randomly selected. Good in Boss Battles.

Random! -- This is a random one. One of four will appear. These are those four:

ETR -- Ether Skill are increased during this round. Good for healing or damaging
your enemy. Even Ether Combos.

T-C -- Turn Cancel. If you hit an enemy with this on, then the enemies turn
that is in queque will be cancelled. Too bad you don't get this often!

RV -- Reverse. Attacking the enemy also increases the enemies Boost Gauge as
well. If you're cautious, you'd STOCK during this.

NON -- No effect. Nothing will happen.

=Characters=

(XS005)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Shion
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
One of the more main characters in the Xenosaga series. Even though she's a
very young woman, she's already the chief of KOS-MOS's project in Vector
Industries' First Division. Her boyfriend, Kevin, was killed when he created
the first prototype of KOS-MOS, which tells why Shion cares so much about the
Project of KOS-MOS. Much like MOMO, she has lower HP and great EP abilities.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
KOS-MOS
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
KOS-MOS is actually an android, and not a Realian, like MOMO. She as created by
Vector Industries to be used as a weapon against the weird-beings that are
called Gnosis. Shion's finace, Kevin, created the first KOS-MOS, but went
hay-wire and killed quite a few of people, Kevin included. Now, Shion went and
created a new KOS-MOS and appears to be in working order. KOS-MOS has high HP
and great abilities in general. Another great asset to any team.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jr.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
His real name is Gaignum Kukai Jr. Or just "Jr" for short. He is one of the
bio-engineered living weapons that were made for the entity known as U-DO. His
unique powers have taken a place on Jr's body, making his age halt, as it
where, thus making him look a lot younger then he really is. He is no robot,
but just a engineered living weapon. He has several long range attacks and
is very quick and agile. He makes a great asset to any team.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
chaos
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
chaos is a quite but intelligent character in the Xenosaga series, and might
even extend his knowledge all the way to Xenogears. He's a very mysterious
character and not much is known about his whereabouts, but he has a major
supporting role in the Xenosaga saga. His high Ether Attack abilities and his
EP make him a major role in my RPG Magic fanatic.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jin Uzuki
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Most of the characters in Xenosaga II you play as in the first Xenosaga, but
making Jin is a new character that you can play as in Xenosaga II, giving the
players a new choice. Jin is the older brother of Shion, and some past
connections to other characters, one of which is chaos. He has valuable
Double Attacks that he shares with his sister, Shion.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MOMO
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MOMO appears to be young, but in reality she's not, however, her real age is
quite not known. Actually, MOMO is a realian, which is a very real looking
machine that seems to share human emotion, thus she doesn't age. She has quite
high Ether stats, which means that she's another Ether user.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ziggy
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ziggy is a man from the past. However 'Ziggy' was created my MOMO, his real name
is Zigguart 8. Over the years, he has gotten several implants from machines to
make him less human. He has almost lost all of human emotion and almost is all
robotic. He has strong Defense and strong Strength, a real brutal user. Not much
of heart for an EP team, though.

==========
=A.M.W.S.=
==========

(XS008)

In Xenosaga Episode I, these huge robots were called A.G.W.S., but now in
Xenosaga Episode II they are called A.M.W.S. and there are some huge differences
between the two. First, you can't choose to pilot a A.M.W.S. like in the first
one, you can only Pilot one when the game forces you to. And since I never
really cared for them in the first one, I can finally care for them now since
you HAVE to use them. Also, another big change is the fact that you can have a
pilot and a Co-Pilot. That's right, two people in the same A.M.W.S. which is
completely new. Another change is the Special Abilities. When you attack, the
EC gauge goes up by 25% and when you use the Stock command, the EC gauge
will go up by 100%. The EC gauge becomes full at 200% and you can use your
A.M.W.S's most powerful attacks (Which change as you change the Co-Pilot.) And
the EMAX300 accessory allows the EC gauge to go up to 300%, allowing a rare
Special Attack!

The A.M.W.S's also gain Skills from the Pilot and the Co-Pilots, so you have to
choose wisely who to use in each battle and who is the perfect combination.
Another thing to note, that the E.S. Zebulun is the only A.M.W.S. that can use
Ether Skills (Who are from MOMO.)

Another to thing to note that A.M.W.S.'s also have a special Intercept attack.
There's a gauge to show this called a IA gauge. As an A.M.W.S. takes more and
more damage it's IA gauge begins to fill. The closer it is to 100, the more
likely chance that the A.M.W.S. dodge and counterattack. When the A.M.W.S. is
hit by a Critical Attack, the IA gauge goes down by half. Also to note that
the A.M.W.S. can also dodge Special Attacks, so be careful when you attack!

Since A.M.W.S.'s gain everything except Skill Points, then defeating enemies
when the Slots are on the Extra-Skill becomes pointless.

Note: *- Also used when the E.S. uses it IA Gauge to dodge and counterattack.

Jr. Pilots this A.M.W.S. called E.S. Asher. This is the same machine that Canaan
uses briefly in the very beginning of the game. This is the most physically
strong out of the three A.M.W.S.'s, and the highest HP, too.

The E.S. Dinah is Piloted by KOS-MOS, which is built specifically by her when
you first see it. Not much is too special about this E.S. except it has some

Here's practically the trademark of the series: CUTSCENE!
After the first opening cutscene, move the A.G.W.S. towards the bottom of the
screen. Here, you'll find a Save Point. Save your game if you'd like and go to
the next area.

After you move down some more, you'll find a Wrecked Truck.
After the little tutorial, blow up the truck using Square, approach it some
more and you have the chance to destroy it further! After this, though, you
should continue down the screen. Then, you get another tutorial, this time,
it tells you how to switch between targets. Destroy them both, and continue.
You will then come to a fork in the road. Up, is a lot of things to destroy,
and in the last one in the back is a Chest that contains a Power Shield. Press
Circle to open it. Continue your way down to the next area.

Cinema!

Okay, after the Cinema, you'll come to another Tutorial, one of which will tell
you how to battle against A.M.W.S. You can then Combat the A.M.W.S. You can
just press Circle to skip through at all if you'd like and to attack, just
press Square. The Melee attack will destroy them instantly. After the battle,
continue down, you can destroy the various Objects if you like -- I know I did.
After a bit, you'll come across a Trap. You can destroy the Trap if you like
and force an Enemy into it. This will help you during your battles. Destroy
the Enemy here with Melee Attacks like before (Square). Destroy the next
enemy A.M.W.S., here you'll encounter a Stole Marine AND a Kfuga Lily!

By destroying the motionless A.M.W.S. and proceeding next to the
area that it was guarding, and destroying the various objects here, you'll find
an Item ... a Nano Repair A! Proceed onward, and set the trap for the Enemy,
here you'll encounter a Stole Marine and two Kfuga Lily's. Proceed to the next
area.

Cinema!

After that extremely cool Cinema, you can go forward to the next Save Point, and
save your game (0bviously). If you move down towards the bottom of the screen
and move forward, you can destroy the objects here and head towards the back
of the wreckage. Destroy the last huge object and you'll find a chest, which
contains a Revive S. Head back and continue forward until you meet a lone
U-TIC in the street. Here, you'll learn about the various Zones and how to use
them to your advantage, you also learn how to Boost and how it affects the game.
Proceed to the next area.

Move ahead, you can destroy the Car -- Nothing is inside. Continue forward and
stay to the left side of the wall. Here, you'll find a destroyable door which
leads to the first Segment Address. This particular one is Segment Address 14.
Continue onward and fight the next U-TIC. You'll learn the Double Attacks here.
Keep moving forward until you see a ladder. Climb to the top of the ladder and
move to the left. Destroy the object here and you can acquire a Skill Upgrade
D x 3! Hooray! You can find a little path that'll lead you towards a Toy
Universe place, but you can't head inside right now. So, nothing else is useful
so move to the next area.

Move forward and kill the U-TIC soldiers here. And here, you can destroy the
green rings that are going up and down and one of them contains a Bio Sphere.
Continue onward, as usual. You can use the Trap and kill the usual U-TIC
soldiers along with their E2-Hauser. Move to the next area.

Wow, another Cinema.

Well, anyway, you can save here, and if you want, you can teach your characters
various moves. I suggest that you try to learn as many as you can, it's quite
simple and you'll get the hang of things quite quickly. Go onward and destroy
the various huge objects here to proceed to the next area... Where another
Cinema takes place. Then, a Boss Battle ensues!

++ This will end the battle and he will unleash one final attack that does ++

After some very long cutscenes we finally take control of Ziggy. You can walk
around and explore, but I highly recommend you viewing the UMN Monitors near
the starting location. You can gain some valuable information. You can find the
Drama Series and the Martial Arts Web Magazine here. Drama Series tells you
about the first Xenosaga in five chapters, while the Martial Arts magazine tells
you about how to use the battle System. You can read up both if you desire.
Down in the corner you can find a Save Point. Head downward to the next area.

Cutscene begins. This game is crazy, I'll tell you that... Anyways...

After the cutscene, there's a save point that you can save it at and you just
need to climb up the ramp and destroy the objects in your way. Go through the
door and head down the stairs just above and destroy the object here to gain
a Skill Upgrade A X 5. Go back up the stairs and head down the next flight of
stairs to go to the next area.

Going down through the water passageway, the U-TIC solders will begin to follow
your characters. You can outrun them, or you can be a soldier and fight them.
Destroy the object in front of you and you'll drop into another room, filled
with one U-TIC soldier, and you can avoid him by climbing up that ladder. By
heading south when you've climbed the ladder will just have you pushed over the
edge by a waterfall. So, you have to move north and destroy the crates blocking
your path. One of them contains a Antidote L. Run along the edge and now climb
the second ladder. Move to the next area.

Cutscene takes place here.

Continue along the path and at the top of the stairs above you -- after
destroying that gate of course -- you'll find another create that you can
destroy and you'll find a Ether Pack S. Run around the corners, fight the
U-TIC enemies and eventually you'll come across another crate, which you can
destroy and you'll find Revive S x 2. Head up the passageway, fight the enemy
behind you. Along the way, you'll find a trap that can be useful. But anyway,
continue to the next area.

Move forward, all of a sudden a huge A.M.W.S. enemy appears, and chases your
character down a slope. You can't outrun this fellow. Engage battle.

++ I found that this is quite an easy battle as long as you can use MOMO, ++
++ Jr. and Ziggy. chaos is completely useless in this battle. And, MOMO's ++
++ Circle Attack is very effective against the Mech. Since almost all the ++
++ Circle attacks are very effective against the Mech. And then... battle is ++
++ over! Remember to heal your party. ++

Go up the stairs now and move on to the next area.

As soon as you go forward a little bit. Surprise! Enemies attack! Quickly, take
them out. But then it's not over just yet... You have to avoid the lazer nets
now that they're pursuing you. You can run up the hill and hide in one of the
alcoves. Here, you can destroy one of the objects and obtain Revive S x 2. Keep
running up the hill and dodge the nets. Up the hill is a Save Point. Remember:
whenever you're hit by that net, you're attacked by those four enemies again,
so beware. Head up and save your game when you come to the Save Point. Now, head
up the stairs and use the elevator.

In this area, just run ahead, and destroy the boxes. The last box contains a
Bio Sphere x 2. Remember to keep your party as Jr., MOMO and Ziggy, keep chaos
out. Continue on and destroy the next crate and move forward... Another Boss
Battle!

++ I suggest that you move MOMO out of the way as soon as the battle starts. ++
++ Or atleast any other character. This way, the explosions and what not ++
++ doesn't effect the entire party. Anyway, MOMO has another great advantage ++
++ here, and so does every Circle Attack. I strongly advise that you keep ++
++ your party at above 250 HP at all times, for one attack can kill your ++
++ characters. If one of your characters does die, though, you can use a ++
++ Revive item on them to bring them back and help finish the battle. Again, ++
++ this battle is quite easy as long as you keep your HP up and the attacks ++
++ constant.                                                                  ++

++============================================================================++

After the battle, remember to heal your party, preferably by someone who isn't
in your current party (Should be chaos), climb the stairs and attack the big
yellow crane to make it fall. You can now climb the ladder and now use the
crane to cross the opening! Genius! Now, go off the little ramp and go to the
next area.

Move forward and destroy the object that blocking your way. Ah! An enemy is
hiding inside. These "Tested" enemies are rather easy. Triangle, Triangle
attacks are their weakspot. Anyway, after the battle, continue forward and
you'll see crates off to your right. Destroy these crates and the first one
holds some Revive S x 2 while the second holds nothing. And, if you don't see
the enemies ahead of you, then perhaps you read this and know what's ahead of
you. You can destroy the Helicopter (Ratos T1 Mk II) with MOMO's and Jr's
attacks. And the Carnicos I's are vulnerable to Triangle, Triangle attacks, so
use them constantly. Remember to heal, since these enemies like to use their
Boost constantly, not allowing you to have a chance to counterattack. Once the
Helicopter is down, the remaining enemies are easy. Heal and move on to the
next area.

Move to the Save Point, use it to heal your party. And now move to the left of
the screen, move through the door and continue onward, up the stairs, around
the corners and up MORE stairs, and once you head up those stairs, a sudden
burst occurs below and several enemies are flowing through! Run up those damn
stairs faster! You can get to the door before the enemies get to you, however.

Cutscene! Oh-oh. Boss Battle!

elevator and you'll be on a Map screen. Head up and got to the one in the center
it should be the first one you encounter. Called Second Miltia. Go in there.

Head up and go to the Save Point, and then save, of course. Continue around the
path and once you make a right turn you'll find Agent Bunnie. He's here trying
to recruit people for the GS campaign. Choose the first choice to enter it. If
you accept everything, you'll earn the GS Path! Continue to the next Path...

Continue forward as usual and you'll meet with a girl named Angelina. Here,
you'll learn about the Segment Addresses and you'll acquire Segment 06
automatically! The door behind her is Segment Address 06, meaning you can just
open it. Open the door and head inside to the chest. Open the chest to get
Secret Key 3! These unlocks Skills. This one in particular unlocks the Focus 1
skill. And at the top of the ramp behind Angelina you'll find a Moby Dick's
Cafe... Enter it.

Cinema. So... much... character development. If you continue to explore the
city you'll find a lot of people that need your help, but you can't really
help them right now and you can always come back later. Anyway, head to the
exit of the city. When your at the map, head NorthWest to find Second
Miltia -- Uzuki's residence. Enter.

Cinema. When you arrive to the Map, the U.M.N. Control Center is right to your
right. Head towards there, and enter.

-----------------------
-U.M.N. Control Center-

(XS104)

Cinema.

After all of that, you take control of chaos again. Getting right off the
elevator there is a Save Point to the left. Save here if you wish and continue
to the right of the screen. Keep going until you see the first door on the
right. Enter that door. In this area, continue north and run around the
counter, and continue heading that way to the big doors off to the Right. Enter
this door.

Cinema takes place.

We take control of chaos again and now it's time to check on Ziggy. Go back
to the main corridor (With the Save Point) and head to the right, the very
next door is where Ziggy is. Enter that door.

Cinema.

You should know what to do. After this, head back to the same little corridor,
but instead of going to the right door, head to the left to see MOMO's
analysis.

Like a movie, indeed... Cinema. To lose your own daughter twice, that's
something new...

------------------------
-Vector Second Division-

We take control of Shion. Head out the door and head up the corridor to the
elevator. Go to the Map and head all the way up North to where MOMO is
located.

Cinema.

Speak to Allen twice and select "Ready" when you're ready. He'll then initiate

Another Cinema takes place.

And now, you'll enter MOMO's mind...

Head down the stairs from MOMO and save your game at the Save Point. Now, head
up inside the house. In the house, head to the back and destroy the blue
shield, continue and destroy the next blue shield to find a Skill Upgrade C
x 2. Return back and head up the stairs to the next area.

Here, go through the entrance way you see. Cinema! Exit the room and... follow
those ghosts! You'll find yourself out of the house following the white light
that they disappeared into. Go into the light and press Circle. Your character
will then disappear, too!

------------------
-Yuriev Institute-

(XS108)

Another Cinema takes place, here.

They seem to be Flashbacks. Head down the door to the next area.

Move forward a bit and follow those ghosts! There's a Save Point here as well,
too. Anyway, follow the ghosts to the next area...

Here, you're outside. Keep following those ghosts, you can do this by heading
towards the left side of the screen and keep running that way...

Another Cinema.

After that, you'll see the Ghosts run again. Continue right until you see yet
another flashback.

After this, head back to the starting corridor, the one with the Save Point, and
enter the second the last door on the Right.

After the flashback, head south out the door and continue to follow the ghosts
into the next door, where another flashback takes place.

Right here, you can just Level Up your characters. Save Point at the North and
enemies a bit East and more North. Constantly stay near the Save Point to keep
your team healthy as you Level Up. When you head up North and eliminate those
two enemies and head up the truck you'll find a hidden item in a little
crate. Open the chest when you destroy the create to get some Med Kit M x 2.
Now, head East to the next area.

In this area, all you can do is head East, so continue to head East to the
next area here...

Head a bit more east and you'll find a couple rocks that you can destroy.
Beware, for the second one contains enemies! Head up North and battle the
enemy up here and attack the Shed until it you destroy it to reveal a
Forbidden Device. We'll later see how this thing works, though. Anyway, continue
to head East and fight more enemies. And head towards the next area.

Here, keep continuing East and fight more enemies here. If you go West, you'll
encounter yet another enemy and a rock. Destroy the rock and you'll find a
chest that contains Skill Upgrade B x 4. Head back down to the right and run
over the log and continue your journey. Stay on the left route and battle
the lone enemy here. Continue and destroy the tree so it'll fall down and make
a passageway across the stream. If you continue, you'll eventually find another
tree that you can destroy to make another bridge. Don't cross it just yet, but
continue the way that you were originally going to the next area.

Meet the first puzzle of Xenosaga II! Continue and fight the Gnosis here, and
destroy the two rocks in the stream starting from the left. Then destroy the
tree. The tree should flow down and stop at the third rock, allowing you
access to a Decoder 04 which is hidden in a crate. Now, leave and Renter.

Just destroy the tree this time and this will get you to the Save Point. Now,
go and stay to the left of the fork again and you'll see a chest which contains
Antidote H x 2. Continue onward to the next section.

In this area you should move up North to the two logs, the one on the left is
very slippery and you can fall, the one on the right you can pass without any
worries. Anyway, continue ahead until the next area. You might need to fight
some monsters, but you got a trap to help you out.

Cutscene!

Fight the Infected U.T.V.S. and then after the battle, you can gain access to
a new Save Point. Now, continue your way onward, batteling the many U.R.T.V's
that are infected. As you proceed to the next area...

Cutscene takes place. Too bad that is a Boss Fight!

++ What I did was use the team of KOS-MOS, chaos, and Ziggy. I'm sure that ++
++ other team members would have been good to use, but I just so happen to ++
++ be in this team. But anyway, I started by moving K0S-MOS to the back and ++
++ started to boost all my characters until they reached Stock 3. It is very ++
++ important that you now use your turns to Boost your characters, using ++
++ small attacks. to level 3 Now, use KOS-MOS or chaos to start the CC attack ++
++ and boost Ziggy for the BBOOO attack, which should knock Level 4 to the ++
++ ground. Now, boost the rest of your characters and keep using all of their ++
++ attacks. You should attack so much that you start to Boost yourself, ++
++ allowing for almost an infinite amount of hits. If you damage the creature ++
++ enough, without letting it have a turn, it should die. If not, it'll ++
++ regenerate health. It should do this twice, and after Level 4 has ++
++ regenerated twice, it'll start to spurt out Infected U.R.T.V.'s, which ++
++ it'll use to regenerate also. It's important to ignore those enemies and ++
++ continue to attack Level 4. You'll have to kill them after the battle with ++
++ Level 4 anyway.                                                            ++
++                                                                            ++

After the battle, a cinema will take place.

------------------
-Yuriev Institute-
------------------

(XS110)

Head out the South door to the next area.

Follow those ghosts! Head East to follow them, through the farthest East door.
And keep following the path until you see another Cutscene. Which is quite
disturbing.

Follow those ghosts to the little path that they took, which is right around
the corner. Another cinema...

Continue the same way that you came in, and when you go through the door, you'll
have to follow those ghosts again. They sure do like to lead you around in
endless circles...

Head forward until the cinema takes place.

----------------------------
-Subconscious Domain Winter-
----------------------------

(XS111)

You'll enter the same Domain all over again, but this time, the weather has
dramatically changed. Perhaps it's a time-warp? Anyway, a bit North is a save
point and a couple new monsters. The list is in the Subconscious Domain
Summer. Head back down, and to the West of the Save point are several boxes
that you can destroy. The second one contains a Med Kit S. Continue to the East
and go through the area.

Continue East to the next Area...

There's a rock that you can destroy, but beware, for it contains a Monster.
Three monsters, so beware. The battle isn't that hard, and if it is, then you
need more help with the Battle System. However, the second rock contains some
Ether Pack S x 2. The third and the fourth hold nothing. Heading East is the
only smart idea, since monsters lurk in the North. Head East to the next area.

Continue East and fight the monster here (Like last time). And continue on.

Follow this up and head west until you meet a rock that you can destroy. Well,
I just lead you to another battle. We'll be needing as much experience as we
can get. Head back and go down the log and you'll see a fork. Stay on the left
side of it and head up North, battle the enemy here and continue. Destroy the
log here and head up North and battle the Infected U.R.T.V.'s and now keep
following the path. You'll eventually come to a rock in which you can destroy
and it'll lead you to a chest, which contains Bio Sphere x 2. As soon as you
come down the hill and head East, another Infected U.R.T.V. will attack.
Continue on to the next area.

Continue, fight the lone enemy in here and you'll come across the stream
puzzle -- again. Destroy the two rocks starting on the West side and destroy
the log to make it float. It should stop at the third rock, allowing you
access to the crate, which you can destroy for a Bio Sphere. Exit the area and
return and destroy the three rocks on the West side, leaving the last one. This
should bring you to a rock, which, when destroyed, leaves a Chest which contains
Skill Upgrade B x 4. Leave the area, come back, and just blow up the tree,
fight the enemy and move ahead. Go to the left of the fork and follow this
until you see a chest, open it and you'll get Rejuvenator M. Continue and head
down the path. Here, you'll see a Rock, which you can destroy and it reveals
an enemy. Eliminate the enemy and go to the next area.

Here, you'll encounter one more enemy and continue down past the logs to the
next area.

Here, is another save point. Use it to save it and heal yourself, too, for there
is a Boss Battle close ahead! Just move along, destroying the enemies until
you get to the next area.

++ What I did in this battle was use the team KOS-MOS, MOMO, and Ziggy. You ++
++ have to plan ahead in this battle and Stock until every character has ++
++ three Stocks. Then use little attacks and Ether to keep your HP up and so ++
++ you can build up on your Boosting. You have to continually hit Albedo with ++
++ small attacks until you destroy his arms, and as soon as you do this, ++
++ Boost with KOS-MOS, and hit him with Zone B then C, then boost Ziggy and ++
++ hit him with C B then O O O to break him and knock him to the ground. ++
++ Then, boost MOMO and shoot him with O O O O, then boost KOS-MOS and hit ++
++ him with a O O O O as well, then boost all the remaining characters as ++
++ many times as possible until you run out. If Albedo doesn't die from ++
++ this, you have to repeat the process all over again. After some amount of ++
++ health, he starts doing a move that does about 400+ damage to all your ++
++ allies! It usually takes 700 away from Ziggy, so I recommend using chaos ++
++ instead, since chaos also has a down move. Anyway, as he starts doing this ++
++ move, it's irrelevant about his arms, and you can combo him anyway. ++
++                                                                            ++
++ If you have the Psycho Pocket ability, you can use it to steal the first ++
++ Awakening I in the game. This contains a super-rare Double Attack! ++
++                                                                            ++

After all the Cinemas, you take control of Shion. Head South out the door to
the next area.

To the left side of the screen is a Save Point. Go off to the right and enter
the room at the far West side. In this room, head south and go through the
door on the left, this is where Allen is located, in the South end. Speak to
him.

Go back to your room and sleep.

Cinema.

Head out your door and return to the same place that Allen was in. Cinema.

Go all the way West, and head to the Elevator room, which is West of Shion's
room. Continue west until you see a Guard at the Elevator. Speak to him and
he's sleeping. Go down the elevator...

*---VSS Rayleigh *
*                                  *
************************************

Note: In this area, it is wise to Level Up Shion as much as possible. You can
do this by destroying only the VSS Fresnel's and the VSS Emissive should
produce another one. Keep Medica 2 and Focus 1 on you, since it'll greatly
help. Psycho Pocket is also a wise choice to have, too.

Continue along the path and fight the various monsters here. They are all easy
to defeat because Shion has Electric-based attacks and all the enemies here
are vulnerable to Electric attacks. Move along and you'll find these boxes
that you can destroy. The one on the West side contains Med Kit S x 2.
The second one contains a Ether Pack S x 2. More East you'll find a Save Point,
and more boxes that are destroyable are on the right, and one of them contains
a Med Kit L. Save your game, and head South. There's a door here to the next
area.

To the left there are several boxes. One of them contains a Med Kit M. On the
left side, there's a destroyable door. Keep attacking it until it opens and
go inside and you'll find a Decoder 18! Yay! On the right side and there
are more boxes on the south-East side, one of the big boxes contains a
Rejuvenator DX. There are more boxes on the North side of here, and one of
those big boxes reveals a ladder. Go up the ladder.

Head to the left side and press Circle when you see the big red button...
choose to push it. On the other side is another red button. And cue a little
mini game. Press the button at the right time to destroy the crate. If you
destroy it, it'll drop a Secret Key 7. Which unlocks a new Skill.

Anyway, go through the new door.

In here there are several boxes that you can destroy. One of them, brings down
a ramp, and another holds a Ether Pack M. After this, go up the ramp, and
fight the enemies up here. The box on the south side contains a Bio Sphere x 2.
Go through the door to the North.

Uh-oh. Box puzzle! Now, this is a fairly complex puzzle. The brown crates are
destroyable and the blue crates are indestructible. The goal is to get across
the chasm, using the blocks. First, on your level, destroy all the blocks that
are ABOVE your level, so you can advance farther. Then, climb down, and destroy
the blocks that are above your characters level that you can't reach. Remember,
you can destroy any 1-level block. You have to get all the other blocks at
level-2 (The height you want) and you should destroy all blocks that are a
level higher then 2.

Here's the puzzle in an over-head view. With the number of boxes you need to
destroy for each one. X represents a block you can't destroy.

-----------------
-O 2 O O O 3 3 1- Over-head View of what the Box-Puzzle looks like. You need
-1 1 1 0 0 2 0 0- to destroy the number of blocks that are listed to the
-X 1 1 1 1 0 0 X- left. LD is Ladder, if you were curious.
-X 2 1 2 1 0 0 X-
-X O O LD X-
-X X-
-----------------

After so, head through the door... And go right back in. That's right, I said
go right back in. Follow back and go down the stairs and destroy the blocks
leading all the way to the back and you'll find Segment Address 1! Reset the
blocks -- don't worry, the game knows you don't want to do that all again so
the blocks are ready for crossing -- and head back.

Head South and battle the enemy here. Head through the door.

Continue down until you meet a door and a Cinema plays. Down a bit South there
is another red button. Push it to activate the Elevator, which will take you
down to a Save Point. Go back up the elevator and you'll find yourself at
another puzzle. Sigh, another puzzle. Because I didn't include it earlier in
the Guide there is a certain room with a whole bunch of letters. All the doors
in this area are unlocked except area 4. In this particular area, which is
actually a whole bunch of conveyor belts, leads you to each room. Run down and
look for a number 4 and drop down into it. And go down the stairs.

In this area, just around across the area, destroying the blocks where
necessary. The single block on the second case of stairs contains a Skill
Upgrade C x 2. Continue up the stairs to the next area.

Continue down the stairs, doing whatever is necessary and you'll eventually
come to a Tilting Floor room. Read the instructions across the floor to get
a basic understanding of it. If you want to figure it out yourself, do not
read this section ... ... ... Okay, well. Destroy the three boxes on the West
side. The two boxes to the left of the stairs, and the box just to the right
of the stairs. Now, run up the stairs and go to the top-left corner to make it
tilt. Once it's tilted, run to the bottom-right corner to make it tilt that
way, too. The corner should smash the crate, causing a chest to slide all the
way over to the left side of the stairs. Run there and grab the chest. Now,
go to the same Top-left corner and once it tilts run to the platform that is
near to the bottom-right corner. Go through the door.

Here is a Giant Fan room. There are two enemies in here, but they are easily
dispatched. There is also a Save Point area here, too. Anyway, continue to push
your way through and run down the middle. Ahead of you is an elevator that you
can use for cover. By running close to it, you can run to the glass just enough
and push the Red button to stop the fan. Allowing you access to a ladder on
the other side of the elevator. Climb up the ladder and use the elevator.

Cinema!

After the enemies are cleared, head up North and go through the door.

Here, run to your main objective.

Cinema! ... Again!

After the Cinema head East to the farthest Eastern door. Head through there
and another Cinema will take place. It seems like the whole party is back.
Suspicious, yes? Anyway, head out and go south and you'll find a Save Point,
and a U.M.N. Point, too.

First off, there's a couple of GS campaigns that you can do. Head down the left
and head through the leftest door. Down here you'll find out that the Captain
gets drunk and needs a remedy. Skip ahead and the cure is 3-2-2. You'll get a
decoder! The other campaign you can't do until you beat the game. More
information soon!

Here, you should finally be able to go back and Decode some doors and get some
more Decoders and more Items. Do this by going to 14 years Old Miltia, and go
and go to the Segment Address in there. Then head back to SC Domain (Winter)
and open the Segment address here, too. If you're wondering where that one is
it's by the two logs area. You need to pass over the logs and stay on the right
and destroy a tree. Then go through the path and you'll drop down to the door.
Then, you can go ahead and open the door in the Dammerung! -- It's one of the
rooms with all those Letters (I'm sure you remember).

Anyway, after that, go ahead and talk to the captain. Initiate the launch
proceedings to Old Miltia!

Of course, when you try to go past two black holes, you're bound to run into
some trouble. And yes, if you're wondering, they did scratch the Elsa.

Anyway, you are in the E.S. practically the entire way through, except there's
a point where you have to get out and push a little red button, and then again
towards the end, but ANYWAY, on with the actual Walkthrough...

Follow ahead and go forward and defeat the enemies around here. If you're
wondering, almost all the enemies you'll encounter are Mech's and are in their
own A.G.W.S.' (E.S.) Anyway, travel to the first intersection and there's some
sort of object that you can destroy. It floats off into space and explodes!
It leaves behind a Forbidden Device. Now that you did that, continue down South
and you'll encounter another intersection. I'll call this Intersection-B for
future reference. Anyway, stay on path and enter through the door.

Here, is another puzzle. To unlock the door at the other end, you must first
figure out the puzzle. This is the first out of several puzzles throughout this
place, so get used to it. The objective here is to not highlite all of the
lights, but get all the lights UNlite. You can do so by attacking the little
balls on the pedestals in the first room. Doing so will unlock the doors and a
elevator rises. Use the elevator.

Continue on to the next door, which is an airlock.

Simply go through the other door to continue (It had to load THAT much?)

Here, you'll see a place where you can disembark your E.S. and continue on
foot. Do so be approaching the Hanger until you're asked to disembark,
obviously choose "Yes." Now that you're on foot, continue onward, to the West.

Here, find the big red button and push it, this will make the elevator here
become active.

Go back and embark in your E.S. again and follow back to Intersection-B and go
South and go to the next area, you might need to destroy something, however...

Here, is a maze-like area with enemies and a whole bunch of stuff that you
can destroy (No items, though.) It's a fun place. Here, there are two chests
that you can open, the one that you see almost right away contains G Slow Guard
and the other on the East wall contains Charge Recover. Also, do not exit the
area until you get both, when you do get both, continue to the West side of the
level and go through the door.

Here is another room with a whole bunch of destroyable objects, only this time
the objects contain Nano Repair A x 2, Nano Sphere x 2, Nano Repair Z x 2 and
Nano Repair A x 4. A whole bunch of items that you may never need since you can
use MOMO's Ether abilities to heal the E.S. party whenever needed. You should
also save here and prepare for a major Boss Battle. You can do so by switching
Shion with chaos so Shion is riding with Jr., and chaos is riding with KOS-MOS
in the E.S. Dinah. Replace Ziggy with Jin in the E.S. Zebulun. These changes
will change the E.S.'s Special Abilities and will make the future Boss Battle
a whole lot simpler. Also, make sure that E.S. Zebulun and E.S. Dinah start
the battle Combat-ready and E.S. Asher is waiting in reserve.

Anyway, go ride the elevator and push against the wall here, too, and as soon
as the E.S. locks onto the boxes, destroy them. This will allow far faster
access later on.

Move forward after the elevator and... Boss Battle!
