04: DISC 1 Game Script
We begin this game 14 years ago in outer space where a ship appeared out of the
warp zone and descending to the planet. Then, the camera switches to the
footage of the city.
Newscaster: What you’re seeing here is actual footage from the violence that
erupted before dawn this morning. These seemingly coordinated Realian attacks
were reported throughout Federation territory, prompting government officials
to consider this movement an act of terrorism.
The camera views the city in a riot committed by the Realians.
Newscaster: Their response to these Realians has been—There’s been a new
development… As internal agencies continue to analyze these violent events, a
flash action report within the Federation—and obtained by this
station—indicates that only Realian models created within the last two years or
those receiving adjustments in the Miltian Star System have been implicated.
Although this is not a complete list, we have obtained a partial list of units
matching these criteria. This list includes… DZ-1006448, DZ-2000330, DZ-1001007.
The camera shows a man with orange hair preparing himself. Then the monitor
showing the riot in the city switched to Helmer.
Helmer: Today was just the beginning of the ensuing violence. These Realian
outbreaks are spreading like wildfire. They’ll be reading off plenty more model
numbers in the media tomorrow, I can assure you.
Canaan: So, what does that have to do with the operation? I’d like to know why
I was chosen for this mission. I’m told that the military has detained all of
its Realians. I find it difficult to believe that they don’t have any
misgivings about us.
Helmer: Canaan, you’re a Realian who’s been especially created and configured
by Vector, itself. I’ve been given the CEO’s personal guarantee that you won’t
be affected like the others.
Somebody came in.
???: Besides, no ordinary pilot could possibly control your craft. That makes
you very vital to the operation.
Helmer: I don’t believe you two have been properly introduced yet. This is
chaos. He’ll be joining you onboard as your navigator.
The person who came in is chaos.
Canaan: I appreciate the offer, but you may want to reconsider. A regular human
can’t ride in that thing.
chaos: Right. That’s why I’m here. Don’t worry.
Helmer: All right, it’s settled then. Good luck to both of you.
The camera views the hologram of the E.S. Amber.
Operator: As mentioned in the briefing, this is a top-secret mission. All IFF
code transmitters will be switched off, and under no circumstances will you
receive backup from this vessel. You will have to manage your descent and
return on your own. You can expect heavy resistance from both U-TIC enemy craft
and Federation military units deployed throughout Miltia. It’s gonna be
dangerous. So watch yourselves out there.
Canaan and chaos are in the cockpit of the E.S. Asher.
Canaan: Don’t worry, I’m coming back.
chaos: Operator, requesting confirmation.
A monitor appeared near chaos’s front view and chaos presses the buttons on the
monitor.
chaos: We are to head to point NN441, correct?
Operator: Correct. The U.R.T.V. force is currently deployed at the target
location. Your primary objective is to retrieve them. Protecting them should be
your first priority.
chaos: All of them?
Operator: Affirmative. If the situation allows, you will then infiltrate
U-TIC’s motherframe and acquire the Y-Data—the root of this conflict.
chaos: Roger. We’ll do what we can.
Canaan: E.S. Asher start-up sequence complete. Requesting launch.
Operator: Launch request confirmed. Now guiding E.S. Asher to Deck B.
The ship’s dock bay door opened and the E.S. Asher is about to launch.
chaos: Defensive shields deployed. Ready when you are.
Operator: Roger. Initiating launch procedure. Good luck!
The E.S. Asher takes off and descends down the skies.
chaos: Currently passing through the troposphere. Outer hull temperature
returning to normal. Adjusting descent path by 0.22. This should get us closer
to our target.
Suddenly, the monitor detecting enemies appeared in front of chaos’s seat.
chaos: Approach warning. Incoming craft detected. They’re on an intercept
course. There are—
Canaan: We’ll take them all out. Stop counting and take control of the shields.
We’ll use the shockwave to gain advantage on them. You’ve got control of the
weapons.
chaos: Roger. It looks like they’re unmanned. With no G-force limit, they can
outmaneuver us. They might pull some crazy moves out there, so be careful.
The enemy mech crafts begins attacking the E.S. Asher.
Canaan: It just makes them all the more predictable.
The E.S. Asher dodges the enemies’ attacks, chaos is locking on to the target
and the E.S. Asher fires the laser cannon at the enemies and one is destroyed.
Then the E.S. Asher fires and destroys the second enemy. The E.S. Asher dodges
the next enemy attacks and then destroys two more enemies.
chaos: There’s no end to these guys. And we don’t have much A.B.R. energy left,
either. Let’s find someplace to set it down.
More enemies appeared and the E.S. Asher dodges more incoming enemy attacks.
Then in the cockpit, chaos closes his eyes and as the enemies are about to open
fire, chaos quickly opens his eyes and the E.S. Asher fires its laser cannon at
four consecutive enemies, destroying them all at once. Then another enemy
appeared and the E.S. Asher fires its laser cannon, but it missed.
chaos: We’re empty…
Canaan quickly thought of another idea and the E.S. Asher impales the enemy
with the laser cannon gun, releasing the laser cannon in the process. The enemy
is destroyed.
chaos: All enemies destroyed. It’s true. You really are as good as they say.
Canaan: How are you handling the feedback? You know, a normal person would’ve
probably passed out by now. I don’t want you jeopardizing the mission.
The arm blade appeared in the E.S. Asher’s right arm and the machine gun
appeared in the E.S. Asher’s left arm.
chaos: I’m fine. It feels like it’s had some special tuning, but that just
makes it more interesting.
Canaan: I see. Well, if I get anything unusual from you, I’m cutting the bypass
to the navigator immediately. I can operate this thing fine by myself.
chaos: Roger.
The E.S. Asher lands on the city’s road, releasing the booster pack in the
process. Later…
chaos: Looks like we’re pretty far out from our objective. Plus, I’d say the
defensive network we saw on the way down takes out the idea of an airborne
approach.
Canaan: We’ll go by ground then. Fortunately, the rubble from the burned out
buildings should provide us enough cover to cross the city unnoticed.
chaos: Agreed. We’d better get moving. We don’t have much time.
Canaan: Not much time? Does this have something to do with the U.R.T.V.s? Those
designer children?
chaos: Mm-hm. Yes. That’s right. We need to protect them from the coming
crisis, if and when it occurs.
Canaan: You do realize that’s a different story from what I heard in my
official briefing.
chaos: No doubt. As the Federation government’s special forces, the U.R.T.V.s
were sent in ahead of the invasion. I’m sure you understand what they represent
in the conflict against the U-TIC Organization.
Canaan: Right. I understand that they’re bioweapons sent in to sever the link
between the U-TIC’s mobile weapons fleet and their source of power, the Zohar.
chaos: The higher-ups have complete confidence in the U.R.T.V.s—they are the
military’s trump card. Unfortunately, the brass are also blind to the potential
dangers of the U.R.T.V.s.
Canaan: Fascinating. I hadn’t realized the situation was so desperate.
Canaan and chaos pilots the E.S. Asher and moves on. In the next area…
Canaan: So tell me…what exactly are we expecting to happen here?
chaos: Well, the problem is that the U.R.T.V.s aren’t merely machines. They’re
real people with their consciousness intact. The system that currently controls
the Zohar was actually designed to be used for the U.M.N. transport system.
However…
Canaan: Yes?
chaos: Well, they experimented with the transport of living beings numerous
times, but every attempt ended in failure.
Canaan: According to the records, 99.76% of them were killed instantly.
chaos: However, it seems that a very rare occasions, there were survivors. They
didn’t exist as people anymore, though. They were just things, never able to
recover their consciousness—the very element that made them human.
Canaan: Mental breakdown…
chaos: Lieutenant General Helmer concluded that if contact with the system led
to the destruction of the human mind, then even the U.R.T.V.s, created as the
system’s antithesis, might be affected. Therefore, if the U.R.T.V.s were to
suffer a mental breakdown, then likely the Zohar, a source of infinite energy,
would stand out of control. That would be devastating.
Canaan: And yet the General Staff’s decision wasn’t overturned. I suppose
that’s where we come in…
The E.S. Asher moves on. And then…
chaos: Enemy A.M.W.S.!
Canaan: Come in contact with an enemy to initiate combat. Let’s go!
The E.S. Asher fights and defeats the enemy A.M.W.S.s. After that…
Canaan: After a battle is over, enemies will be unable to detect us for a
little while.
chaos: So, during that time, we won’t get into another battle even if we come
in contact with an enemy.
The E.S. Asher moves on. In the next area, a bright light appeared and a
strange music can be heard.
Canaan: What is it? A pillar of light? And that sound… It’s more than that.
Music?
chaos: It’s…the Song of Nephilim.
Canaan: You know what it is?
chaos: I can’t believe it. Even U-TIC has to be aware of the danger of the
song. What could possibly make them…
The pillar of lights on one of the roof of the building brightens.
chaos: No! If this keeps up--
Suddenly, an attack blew up the tank truck causing a fire to appear on the
highway. Then, the enemy A.M.W.S.s appeared at the scene, surrounding the E.S.
Asher.
Canaan: It looks like they think we’re the enemy. Any ideas?
The enemies open fires at the E.S. Asher, but all of the shots missed the E.S.
Asher. In the cockpit of the E.S. Asher…
chaos: (activating the console) Yes, send an emergency IFF signal to let them
know we’re on their side. We can’t let anything stop us. We have to reach our
objective.
The camera views one of the enemies firing its machine gun.
Canaan: They should be receiving our IFF signal.
chaos: Wait. Something’s wrong.
The camera views the console’s “Receiving Device” showing the soundwaves in
emergency status.
Canaan: What is this? What the…what’s going on with them?
chaos: This is…
The camera zooms into chaos’s face.
chaos: It can’t be…
Suddenly, one of the enemy’s attack shot off the right arm of the E.S. Asher,
losing its arm blade in the process. The E.S. Asher kneels and suddenly, Canaan
is grasping his head feeling strange.
chaos: Wait! Canaan, no! Don’t listen to it! Close your mind!
The E.S. Asher starts to glow. As the enemies close in to the downed E.S.
Asher, sword slash marks appeared on the enemies and they got destroyed. Then,
an A.M.W.S. with a sword appeared at the scene. Then, Canaan regained his
senses.
Canaan: Is he with us?
chaos: I don’t know. But he’s broadcasting an IFF.
Pilot: Attention, unidentified craft. I’ve reached your IFF signal. The other
crafts have been tainted, but you seem unaffected. Are you an ally?
Canaan: Well, it looks like this one’s still sane. What do you think?
chaos: Getting out of here is our first priority right now. I think we should
stick together.
Canaan: Agreed.
The E.S. Asher gets up.
Pilot: Confirmed. IFF signal accepted. Stand by. I will now eliminate the
affected Federation units.
The A.M.W.S. with the sword quickly turns around and slices off the incoming
enemy craft’s torso. Then, the E.S. Asher fires it machine gun at the other
enemy craft. After the E.S. Asher and the A.M.W.S. with the sword work together
to destroy the infected enemies, the pillar of light disappeared and the
A.M.W.S. with the sword moves slower and then kneels. chaos and Canaan gets out
of the E.S. Asher and the pilot of the A.M.W.S. with the sword gets out of the
cockpit. Suddenly, another infected enemy craft appeared and as it was about to
grab the unknown pilot, the camera shows his katana and the infected enemy
craft was sliced in half and is destroyed.
Canaan: Impressive. I guess that pilot is just as effective on foot as he is in
his craft.
chaos: Truly amazing.
The pilot comes down and takes off his helmet.
chaos: Thanks for the assist. And you’re?
Pilot: I am Captain Jin Uzuki.
The pilot will be known as Jin Uzuki from this point on.
Jin: You don’t look like you’re with the regular forces. Well, whoever you are,
if you’re still operational, I advise you to leave. This place…affects people.
Some stop being people altogether.
chaos: They stop being people?
Canaan: Unfortunately, we can’t leave. Not until we’ve completed our mission.
Jin: Your mission?
chaos: Forgive us, Captain. I am chaos, and this is Canaan. I suspect that
you’re part of the landing operation, aren’t you? Do you know where the
U.R.T.V. force is now? If so…
Jin: U.R.T.V.s? Ah, the special units—said to possess an anti-U-DO retrovirus.
Canaan: Our mission is to protect them. Please, if you know where they are,
tell us.
Jin: Hmph. Well, this is quite a coincidence.
Suddenly, it started raining.
Jin: Although, it’s more than that—fate perhaps. In any case, I will take you.
As chaos’s group walks away, the destroyed enemy craft blew up, destroying the
highway path that was behind chaos’s group. chaos’s group moves on. In the next
area…
Canaan: So this entire thing was a set-up?
Jin: Exactly. It’s all part of an attempt to make the U-TIC Organization, or
should I say, all of Miltia, into a scapegoat. Even the Realian violence that
we’re seeing right now is nothing more than a brush stroke in the larger
picture.
chaos: But who’s behind this? And why?
Jin: U-TIC is undoubtedly a cover for a greater power still operating in the
shadows. I believe that this power is manipulating the conflict between the
Federation and the Miltian system, driving a sequence of events in order to get
their hands on something very specific.
Canaan: Like what?
Jin: The Y-Data.
chaos: The Y-Data?
Jin: I relieved an operative of this disc. And though I was only able to decode
it partially, I discovered that all manner of data from all existing phenomena
is gathered together within an area of space. And beyond that lies a special
place only described in the Y-Data.
chaos: Captain Uzuki, how in the world did you acquire this information?
Jin: I have my ways.
chaos’s group moves on. In the area near the tunnel, the camera views the
winged statue. Then…
Jin: All right. Here it is. You will find the U.R.T.V.s in the lowest level.
chaos: All right. Captain Uzuki, thank you for bringing us this far. We’ll take
things from here.
Jin: Of course. As I said, it was fate. I wish I could go with you further.
Jin looks at chaos and Canaan to the left of his shoulder and takes a data out.
Jin: However, it’s imperative that I complete my work on this data. I want to
completely expose the shadow behind this conflict and drag it into the light.
To do this, I’ll have to access the mainframe here. Also…
Canaan: What?
Suddenly, a lightning struck the winged statue’s head and it crumbles to
pieces. Then, Margulis appeared.
Margulis: I gave you far too much credit, Uzuki. I thought you were smarter
than this. A better thief. I never once thought you’d just come walking in
through the front door.
Jin: Well, I thought you might be getting lonely, Colonel, so I figured I’d
come pay you a visit.
Margulis: Hmph. Same old Uzuki. Neither your attitude nor your ability to bluff
have shown improvement. No matter. The data you possess is no threat to us.
You’ve got nothing.
Jin: Precisely why…I have some unfinished business here.
Margulis: I see. You know what this means.
Margulis takes out his sword with a sheath and is about to pull out his sword
from the sheath.
Margulis: (furious) Uzuki!
A flame orb appeared around Margulis after he pulled out his sword. chaos and
Jin fights Margulis. After chaos and Jin defeats Margulis, Jin jumps up to the
upper roof of the tunnel and Margulis jumps up after him. They begin sword
fighting, clashing blades with every attacks. After a while, Margulis shot a
fireball at Jin and Jin is hit to the left of his body. Then, a structure
topples and Margulis got away from it before the structure can crush him. Blood
wound can be seen from Jin’s left body.
Margulis: You’re a sad sight, Uzuki, even with your so-called reinforcements.
Jin: Pathetic.
Margulis: You’re out of your league. Why, it’s clear now that you never even
had a chance.
chaos: (gasp) Captain, you’re hurt!
Jin felt the wound from his left body.
Jin: It’s…it’s from earlier. It’s nothing to worry about. If you’ll pardon the
cliché, it’s just a scratch.
chaos and Canaan gasped and then a shaking can be heard nearby.
Margulis: Hmph. So it’s begun.
Jin clenches his wound.
Margulis: This planet is finished. There’s no point in staying any longer. I
think it’s time we ended this…once and for all!
Margulis readies his sword. Jin readies his katana.
Margulis: You dare face me, maimed as you are?
Margulis laughs.
Margulis: The only thing you’ve mastered is the art of futility.
Jin: You never know until you try, Colonel.
Margulis: That’s enough!
Margulis readies his fireball and Jin readies his ice needle. They both release
the attack and then an explosion can be seen. After that, Jin falls to the
floor and Margulis has a bloody cut to the right of his face and his right eye
is shut.
Margulis: Now you see your death. I have always been your better, in every way,
Uzuki. It’s something that old fool couldn’t--
chaos and Canaan helps the wounded Jin up. Suddenly…
Margulis: What the—
The floor where Margulis is standing on cracks. chaos’s group jumps back and
the floor collapsed and Margulis falls into it. Later…
Jin: Canaan.
Jin takes out a data.
Jin: Take this.
Canaan plugs the data’s plug into his circuit and then takes it out.
Canaan: Is this…
Jin throws another data away.
Jin: Storing it with you is safer than carrying it around. Besides, there’s
somewhere else I must go.
chaos: What? You’re not serious. Look, we’re still mobile, Captain. You could
come with us.
Jin shakes his head, “no”.
Jin: No. This is my own way of atonement. I can’t turn back now.
chaos: But…
Jin: Please, go on. Bring the truth of this conflict—the truth hidden in that
data—to light. Please, do this thing for me.
chaos: Captain Uzuki…
Jin: I’m counting on you. So, farewell.
Jin jumps away from the scene. Then, black fogs appeared at the scene.
chaos: Canaan! Look at that!
The black fogs engulfed everything in the city. 14 years later, the camera
views the outside building of Second Miltian government office. Inside, a man
is analyzing Canaan.
Man: Congratulations, Canaan. This brings out total loss count to 127. I’d say
that’s a new record.
Canaan who is sitting in a analyzing seat gets up.
Man: I remember the first time as if it was yesterday. My son was born the next
day.
Canaan: How old is he now?
Man: He starts junior high next month.
Canaan: I see.
Man: It’s…it’s gotta be that shadow. I mean, think about it. Its influence
severs your data-link every time. If we only knew what it was, then we could
access the data he gave you.
A sound can be heard.
Man: Canaan, it’s a summons from Representative Helmer. Could you go ahead and
report today’s results while you’re there?
Canaan: I’m not your secretary, you know.
Man: But today’s my son’s birthday.
The man left the scene. Later in Helmer’s office…
Helmer: I see. That’s unfortunate, but I suppose it can’t be helped.
Canaan: I understand that it’s data concerning the Miltian conflict. Is it
really that important?
Helmer: Yes, it is. The truth behind the conflict lies buried within it.
There was a brief pause.
Helmer: Hm. The one who entrusted that data to you was a subordinate under my
command. I had sent him in on an independent investigation.
Canaan: Yes, Jin Uzuki. What ever happened to him?
Helmer: I thought you were a model with suppressed emotions. Don’t tell me
you’re concerned about him.
Canaan: I’m just curious. He is the one who saddled me with this nuisance,
after all.
Helmer laughs.
Helmer: Don’t worry about him. He’s left the military. I hear he’s doing fine.
Helmer pauses a moment and then approaches towards his desk.
Helmer: Now, I have another job I’d like you to undertake. Have a look at this…
The monitor with MOMO appeared near Helmer’s desk.
Helmer: The 100-Series Realian Prototype, MOMO. We’ll be executing a dive into
her subconscious domain at the Administration Bureau. I’d like to request your
assistance.
Canaan: What’s the time line?
Helmer: I’ve been notified that our people have just now descended from orbit
and landed at the space port. I’d be obliged if you could go and pick them up.
Canaan: Sounds to me like there’s more to it than that.
Helmer: We’ve noticed a rise in recent activity from both the U-TIC
Organization and the Immigrant Fleet. I think in times like these, it pays to
take precaution.
Canaan: Understood.
Meanwhile in the cathedral like area, a mysterious woman appeared to talk to
the Patriarch.
Orgulla: Your Holiness. I have news concerning the matter of the Y-Data. Chief
Inquisitor Margulis wishes to convey the details to you directly.
Patriarch: (reading a book) Very well.
The mysterious woman left the scene. Then, the communication hologram of
Margulis appeared behind the Patriarch.
Margulis: Your Eminence, it is an honor to be in your presence.
Patriarch: Spare me your platitudes. I understand that the Realian in
possession of the Y-Data has fallen into the hands of the Kukai Foundation. I
trust you have an explanation for this?
Margulis: Yes, Holiness. It is true that the 100-Series Prototype that holds
the Y-Data is currently in the custody of the Kukai Foundation. Or rather, the
Second Miltian government. However…
Patriarch: I trust you understand the significance of this situation.
Margulis: According to the U.R.T.V., Albedo, the Y-Data is secured by a form of
high-level protection, only accessible at the U.M.N. Control Center on Second
Miltia, hence the current situation. Preparations for our next move are already
underway.
There was a brief pause.
Patriarch: Margulis. I’ve heard that the recent offensive against Second Miltia
was the result of Cardinal Heinlein’s manipulation of the Federation’s
military’s upper ranks. What do you know of this?
Margulis: I am afraid I possess no intimate details of that. I would presume
that all of the Cardinal’s decisions are made in the organization’s best
interests.
Patriarch: Your words… I would imagine it is safe for me to trust them?
Margulis: I have sworn fealty to Your Holiness. I would never allow myself to
be manipulated by ancient dogma.
Patriarch: Hmm… Very well. Our fleet is considering an invasion of the
demilitarized zone in the near future. I sincerely hope that you will not
disappoint me.
Margulis: I understand, Your Holiness. I vow to deliver you good news.
Patriarch: Margulis.

The communication hologram of Margulis disappeared. Later in the U-TIC
battleship…
Margulis: They get suspicious when they get old. (short laugh) The weaker they
are, the louder they bark.
The communication monitor of Pellegri appeared in front of Margulis.
Margulis: Pellegri. What’s your status?
Pellegri: Everything is proceeding smoothly. I have Hermann and Richard
pursuing the target as we speak.
Margulis: As this is an independent Inquisitor operation, I’m granting you
permission to use the E.S. Issachar.
Pellegri: E.S.? You mean those thousand-year-old relics? Do they still work?
Margulis: The E.S. is equipped with the Vessel of Anima.
Pellegri: The Vessel of Anima…
Margulis: The Vessel of Anima was discovered at the same time as the Zohar. Its
power rivals the military might of an entire star system. Handle it with care.
We can’t afford for it to get damaged, particularly after the effort it took to
restore it.
Pellegri: Understood.
The communication monitor with Pellegri ended. Later, the camera views the Elsa
flying by with Shion narrating.
Shion: (narrating) R&D report. File #026643. The anti-Gnosis battle android
KOS-MOS, while undergoing start-up in field testing, onboard the Federation
cruiser Woglinde, awoke during the Gnosis attack on the fleet. She initiated
autonomous mode even though that mode was still sealed and has been fully
operational ever since. KOS-MOS is acting under her own volition. However,
there are many unstable elements in her emotional program and further
improvements will be required. After the escape from the Woglinde, we were
rescued by the Elsa, a Kukai Foundation cargo ship. We were presently
descending into Second Miltia in order to turn KOS-MOS into Vector’s Second R&D
Division. Furthermore, while en route to Miltia, we took the 100-Series
Observational Realian Prototype, MOMO into custody. During this time, we were
pursued by the U-TIC Organization and an individual called Albedo. Albedo’s
tenacious attack brought about the appearance of the Song of Nephilim and Proto
Merkabah. KOS-MOS’ actions allowed us to overcome these crises. I believe this
series of actions by KOS-MOS has been greatly influenced by her black box
components left behind by the late Kevin Winnicot. This will likely become a

As Shion was in the middle of narrating, the camera shows Hammer getting all
excited and Matthews kicked him from his back. Then Jr. somehow shoved Allen
into Shion and Shion dropped her eyeglasses. Allen then accidentally stepped
and broke her eyeglasses. Shion got mad at Allen and then later doesn’t regret
not having her eyeglasses. Then, Shion talks with KOS-MOS. After that, the Elsa
flies towards Second Militia City landing in the Space Port landing zone. Later
in the Space Port, Shion’s group arrived inside.
Allen: Ahhh, it’s so good to be alive!
Jr.: Yeah, no kidding. For a while there, I was kinda worried, but somehow we
made it back.
Allen: I’m telling you, the array stuff the chief pulls always keeps me on edge.
Shion: What are you saying? You make it sound like it was all my fault.
Allen: Oh, uh…that’s not what I meant. (to KOS-MOS) I, uh…hey, KOS-MOS! Thank
goodness you were there! Man, you really saved us!
KOS-MOS: Thank you very much. I am happy to be of service.
Jr.: Hey, we’re gonna head over to the government office now. What are you all
gonna do, Shion?
Shion: Hmm. Well, we need to hand over KOS-MOS. I think I’ll wander over to
Vector’s Second Division. Is that all right with you, KOS-MOS?
KOS-MOS: Acknowledged. That will not be a problem.
Jr.: I see. Well, I guess you gotta do your job. You’re gonna be here for a
little while, right? Hey, maybe we can have some fun later.
Shion: That’d be great! (to MOMO) I’ll show you around this place, MOMO.
MOMO: Thanks. I’m looking forward to it!
Shion: All right, then. (to KOS-MOS) Shall we, KOS-MOS?
KOS-MOS: (to Jr., MOMO, Ziggy and chaos) Please excuse us. Good-bye.
Shion and KOS-MOS left the scene.
Allen: What the? Hey, Chief! Wait up!
Allen left the scene and catches up with Shion and KOS-MOS.
Jr.: Heh. I suppose we should get going, too.
Ziggy: Sorry…could you wait just a little while? I’m going to report what’s
happened to the Subcommittee. (to MOMO) It appears that Dr. Mizrahi has also
arrived at Miltia, as well. If you have a message for her.
MOMO: Really? Mommy’s here?
Ziggy: Yes.
MOMO: Please let her know that I’m looking forward to seeing her.
Ziggy: Got it. I’ll pass it along.
Later, Ziggy uses a U.M.N. terminal and contacts Juli Mizrahi.
Juli: All right. Continue your assignment until the delivery is complete.
Ziggy: Acknowledged.
There was a brief pause.
Ziggy: Dr. Mizrahi.
Juli: Yes, Jan Sauer. Is there something else?
There was another brief pause.
Ziggy: I am currently Ziggurat 8.
Juli: So it appears.
Ziggy: MOMO…is looking forward to seeing you.
Juli: I see. I… I, too, welcome your arrival.
The communication ended. Ziggy closes his eyes for a brief moment and then
opens them.
Jr.: You know, it almost sounds like she’s scared to meet her.
Ziggy: Eavesdropping is not a very admirable pastime.
Jr.: Say old man, how about upgrading to a modern carbon-based body? I bet if
we applied combat Realian technology, we’d see some serious results.
Ziggy shakes his head, “no”.
Ziggy: There’s no need to play around with extending my lifespan.
Jr.: Sure about that? I bet MOMO would be happy if you lived longer.
Ziggy: I’ll pass, thanks. I have no desire to prolong things.
Jr.: (sigh) All right. You know who to call if you ever change your mind.
Jr. left the scene.
Ziggy: I should go rejoin the others.
Ziggy exits the Space Port. Outside, Ziggy gets in the transport vehicle with
Jr., chaos and MOMO inside. Later, the transport vehicle is driving through the
highway. Inside the passenger’s seats…
MOMO: What did Mommy say, Ziggy?
Ziggy: Ah, right… She seemed…very busy.
MOMO: Oh. I knew it.
Ziggy: She’s one of the Contact Subcommittee’s head members. I’m sure it’s a
demanding role.
MOMO: Yeah, I guess you’re right. I guess I’ve got to do my best to help her
out.
A little later, a giant A.M.W.S. suddenly appeared at the scene. It flies and
follows the vehicle that Jr.’s group is riding in. MOMO panicked.
Jr.: What the…?
Ziggy: An ambush?
chaos gasped as he saw another giant A.M.W.S. appearing at the scene as well.
The giant A.M.W.S. grabbed the hood of the vehicle that Jr.’s group was riding.
MOMO panicked.
Ziggy: (protecting MOMO) Jr., who are they?
The A.M.W.S. shattered the windshield with its hand.
Jr.: Albedo? No, it’s not him. It’s too gentle for him.
Jr. pulls out his guns and fires at one of the persistent A.M.W.S. The other
A.M.W.S. tries to attack MOMO and Ziggy, but Ziggy did a flash attack at the
A.M.W.S. Jr. kept on firing his guns.
Jr.: Damn, it’s no good on auto. Somebody, drive!
MOMO: Ziggy, let me go!
MOMO quickly crawls under Jr. and to the driver’s seat.
Jr.: Whoa! Hey, MOMO!
MOMO: I’ll do it.
MOMO sits in the driver’s seat.
MOMO: Jr.
Jr.: All right. Point 2089. Floor it!
MOMO: Okay!
MOMO drives really fast and quickly passes through lots of cars. While speeding
up, the persistent A.M.W.S.s kept following them. Jr. continues to open fire at
them. Then the A.M.W.S.s fires missiles at the roads and lots of cars crashed
into each other. Then…
MOMO: This might get rough.
MOMO steers the vehicle sideways of the highway fences. Jr. almost lost his
balance when this happened. Then, MOMO steers the vehicle back to the road and
then they pass the tunnel.
Jr.: All right! We made it!
Suddenly, one of the A.M.W.S. crashed through the glass roof and approaches the
vehicle Jr.’s group was in. The A.M.W.S. grabbed the vehicle from the back.
Then…
chaos: Jr.!
chaos holds a fire extinguisher.
Jr.: The fire extinguisher? Yes!
chaos throws the fire extinguisher at the persistent A.M.W.S. and in a short
slow motion view, Jr. fires his gun at the fire extinguisher, making the
A.M.W.S. lose sight of the vehicle Jr.’s group was in. Suddenly, the vehicle
Jr.’s group was in went into the stairways and crashed into the shutter. Later
on after the vehicle wreckage…
Ziggy: They’re right behind us.
Jr.: Okay! We’ll head for point 2089, the roof of Second Miltia Defense System
#6.
chaos: Good thinking. That way, the citizens won’t get caught in the middle.
Let’s go!
Jr.’s group moves on. In the next area, Jr. tries to contact Gaignun as his
group are running.
Jr.: Gaignun, we’re headed for 2089. Tell Helmer to send backup!
Suddenly, a strange image can be seen. Later in the Kukai Foundation’s office
of Gaignun, Gaignun is feeling strange and is holding his head.
Jr.: Hey! Gaignun!
Gaignun gained his senses.
Gaignun: Sorry. What’s your heading?
Jr.: 2089!
Gaignun: Got it! (to himself) Strange…What was I just doing?
Later, Helmer receives a call from Gaignun.
Helmer: Understood. I’ve already dispatched someone. I’ll have him head to that
point immediately.
Helmer hangs up the phone.
Helmer: Damn. It’s not even safe on land anymore.
The camera goes back to Jr.’s group and they move on. In the next area, Jr.’s
group encounters Executus Sagitta. Jr. fights and defeats Executus Sagitta.
After that, they move on. In the next area, Jr.’s group reaches the
construction area. Suddenly, O-88 Libra crashed out of the floor and Jr.’s
group fights O-88 Libra. After Jr.’s group defeats O-88 Libra, they move on. In
the next area…
Mysterious Voice: Long time no see! You’re looking well.
Jr.’s group stops running and are in the center four-way area.
Mysterious Voice: You remember me, right?
An A.M.W.S. from before appeared at the scene.
Richard: My name is Richard! Let that name burn in your mind as you die!
The mysterious voice is Richard. Another A.M.W.S. appeared. Jr.’s group fights
Pilum and Scutum. After Jr.’s group wins the fight, the E.S. Issachar piloted
by Pellegri appeared at the scene.
Pellegri: (to Richard and Hermann) Stand down, you two! I’ll take care of the
rest.
The E.S. Issachar launches a laser beam bits over Jr.’s group and the bits
fired the lasers at Jr.’s group, but none of the beams hits any of Jr.’s group.
Pellegri: It’s pointless to resist. Turn over the 100-Series, at once!
Before the bits can fire again, some gunshots from far away shot down the bits
and the E.S. Asher appeared at the scene.
Jr.: That craft! Canaan?
In the cockpit of the E.S. Asher…
Canaan: Get down, Rubedo!
The E.S. Asher and the E.S. Issachar fight each other, clashing blades at each
others and as the E.S. Asher fires its machine gun, the E.S. Issachar pushes
the E.S. Asher’s machine gun arm and it fires elsewhere.
Pellegri: I’ve got you!
Suddenly, a mysterious item made a strange reaction towards the E.S. Issachar.
The color images were all over the place including the area where the E.S.
Asher and the E.S. Issachar are blade clashing.
Pellegri: Wait, what’s going on? The controls aren’t responding! How can this
be?
The E.S. Asher and the E.S. Issachar released themselves from the clashing and
moved away.
Pellegri: We’ve got no choice. Richard, Hermann, abort the mission. We’re
withdrawing.
The E.S. Issachar, Pilum and Scutum flew away from the scene. The E.S. Asher
descends behind Jr.
Jr.: Jeez, man. If you were gonna save us, you know you could have shown up a
lot sooner.
Canaan: I’m surprised to hear you whine so much. Further enemy pursuit appears
unlikely for the time being.
Canaan looks at chaos and chaos looks at the E.S. Asher with a slight smile.
Canaan: I’m heading back. I’ll see you around, Rubedo.
As the E.S. Asher is about to fly away…
Jr.: I already told you! I’m Gaignun Jr. now! Get that through your thick head!
Canaan: It’s hard to shake my past image of you.
The E.S. Asher flies away from the scene. MOMO approaches Jr. and places her
hand on his left arm.
MOMO: Ah, um. Do you know him?
Jr.: Yeah. He’s an old acquaintance.
Inside Jr.’s memory, the camera views Old Miltia from 14 years ago. Rubedo who
is weakened picks up Nigredo who is critically wounded.
Rubedo: Somebody! Anybody! Please, help us!
Rubedo kneels to the floor, still picking up Nigredo also has tears coming from
his eyes.
Rubedo: It won’t stop! Nigredo won’t stop bleeding!
Rubedo starts crying.
Nigredo: It’s all right, Rubedo. Let it…go.
Rubedo: Don’t say that! You can’t give up!
Rubedo continues to cry. Then, a bright light shines on Rubedo and Nigredo.
Canaan: Two U.R.T.V. variants… Identified and confirmed.
The E.S. Asher without a right arm appeared at the scene as they are the one
who emit a light on Rubedo and Nigredo.
chaos: The red horse carries war, and the black horse, famine. Upon those tiny
backs, bear their great calamity.
Canaan: What did you say, chaos? I didn’t read that.
chaos: It’s nothing. Let’s go rescue them.
Canaan and chaos exits the E.S. Asher. Canaan picks up Nigredo and chaos picks
up Rubedo.
Rubedo: It’s…it’s all my fault. I’m the leader…but then I cut the link. And now
Albedo’s…
Canaan: Albedo?
Rubedo: He’s a piece of me. The beating in my right chest.
Rubedo fell unconscious.
Canaan: I have the search results. Albedo is the name of unit number 667. The
records show that he and unit number 666 were conjoined twins. Apparently, it
happens on rare occasions even with artificially created children.
chaos: So he was infected as well? The rider of the white horse. May your
bodies and souls find peace. Even if…it is but a short one.
Canaan and chaos, which they are holding Rubedo and Nigredo, return to the E.S.
Asher. The memory ended.
Jr.: I guess I…I owe them my life.
MOMO: So, you’ve known chaos for a long time, too?
There was a brief pause.
MOMO: Um… Can I also call you Rubedo, too? It’s a very pretty name.
Jr. is getting confused with how he is going to respond.
Jr.: S…sorry, it’s just…
MOMO: Oh, I’m sorry.
Jr.: Nah, nah, it’s just… I don’t have a lot of good memories of that name.
MOMO: Oh. You and Ziggy don’t like your original names very much, do you?
Jr.: (slight sigh) Names tend to link themselves to memories, both good and
bad. I have a feeling that old man over there has a lot of baggage, himself.
Besides, I think old man over there seems to like being called Ziggy.
MOMO: Oh, I hope he does!
Jr.: Even though it kinda sounds like something you would call your dog.
The camera shows Ziggy who is mum from what Jr. was saying all that time to
MOMO. The camera now switches to Vector Industries Second R&D Division. Inside…
Shion: The Zohar Project?
Vector Supervisor: Right. The situation is grave. The Gnosis phenomenon is
spreading at an ever increasing rate. More than 120 star systems have already
been eradicated—a face that has been difficult to keep secret, thus far.
Worst-case scenario projections indicate that if this continues, humanity will
only have a few years before it’s completely wiped out by the Gnosis.
Shion: Yes. I understand that. Thank you. But tell me how this relates to
KOS-MOS.
Vector Supervisor: This way…
In the next room, the Vector employee displays the weapon diagram monitor.
Allen: This is…this is incredible.
Vector Supervisor: The KOS-MOS Tertiary Weapons System. It was developed to
prevent the worst-case scenario from ever happening.
Shion: And just what do you classify as worst-case?
Vector Supervisor: The Zohar Project is a massive undertaking whose ultimate
goal is to eradicate the Gnosis from the cosmos. To do this, we know we must
salvage the original Zohar that’s sleeping on Miltia. Our studies over the past
half-century have revealed the Zohar to be this dimension’s ultimate energy
device. But there is also a problem. The Zohar’s center, or rather, the core
unit that controls it, is a double-edged sword.
Shion: What do you mean?
Vector Supervisor: This…
The Vector employee views the monitor with a neon reddish purple mist.
Vector Supervisor: This is the phenomenon known as U-DO. Beyond the initial
loss of the core unit, we have no details on how it occurred. But we do know,
however, that this is what made Miltian space the way it is today and that this
phenomenon is also responsible for the appearance of the Gnosis.
The monitor with the U-DO shuts off.
Allen: W…wait a minute, are you saying that even more Gnosis might show up?
Vector Supervisor: We can’t be certain, but it is a definite possibility.
Shion: So you’re outfitting KOS-MOS with this. Those shoulder units…they’re a
Phase Transfer system, right?
After a brief pause…
Vector Supervisor: Now I see why they called you the Flower of First Division,
Chief Uzuki.
Shion: I didn’t come here for jokes.
Vector Supervisor: Sorry, I’ll continue… This was originally designed for use
on the archetype, but it’s been refitted for use on the current KOS-MOS. The
system radius is 130nm.
Allen: 130?!
Shion: Can you control it accurately at that scale?
Vector Supervisor: Yes, with the help of the Tactical Sim Lab. That’s why we
had KOS-MOS moved here.
Shion: And if I refuse to turn her over?
Vector Supervisor: This project has been officially commissioned by the
government. Being chief of software development doesn’t give you the right to
refuse us.
Shion: I imagine not.
Vector Supervisor: Look, I know there’s a lot about KOS-MOS’ recent activation
that worries you, but rest assured, everything’s going to be fine. Headquarters
has taken a good look at KOS-MOS’ activity records up to now. They firmly
believe this can be done, and so do we. Everything is ready to go.
Shion: I suppose the only thing I can do now is trust you.
Vector Supervisor: We can do this. Besides, this system was designed at First
Division by none other than Kevin Winnicot himself.
Shion pauses for a brief moment looking dissatisfied.
Shion: Fine. We’ll transfer KOS-MOS to the Second R&D Division today at 1400
hours. I’ll send the paperwork along later. Please send requests for any
specific needs to my personal address at First Division. I’ll have Allen take
care of the software. If there’s anything you don’t understand…
Allen looks as if he isn’t satisfied with what Shion is saying.
Vector Supervisor: We’ll contact you. Thank you for your cooperation.
Later, Shion goes outside of the room and looks unhappy.
Shion: (wondering) For the sake of humanity?
In Shion’s memory, Kevin and Shion are at the second floor looking through the
glass window with something interesting through it.
Kevin: Yes. You might even say that’s the reason she was born. Her awakening
will lead humanity toward the future. I can hardly wait until that time comes.
Shion: This transport is part of KOS-MOS’ equipment, too, right? A craft that
can interact with hyperspace on its own without using a U.M.N. column… Is this
going to save humanity, too?
Kevin: Mmm… In a broader sense, I suppose. It might come in handy for her
someday.
Kevin pauses for a brief moment.
Kevin: You’ll probably laugh when you hear me say this, but I believe… no, I
want to believe that she’ll be more than just some wanton instrument of
destruction. I hope the future that she builds will be one swept clean of our
differences. An ideal world free of destruction of slaughter.
Shion laughs softly.
Kevin: Sounds funny, doesn’t it?
Shion: No, no. It’s just that… Your eyes, Kevin. They were so lit up just now
that you looked like a child.
Kevin: I can’t help it. I guess I’d better watch myself during the public test.
Shion: Well, to be honest, I can’t wait to see her wake up, too.
The memory ended. Shion then walks away looking down and sad.
Allen: Chief! Wait up, Chief. Hey, what’s wrong with you?
Shion stops for a moment.
Allen: You’re acting strange today.
Shion: Nothing’s wrong. It’s the same old me.
Allen: Where are you going then?
Shion: Into the city for a bit. It’s been a long time, so…
Allen: A long time? Oh, right, right? Isn’t your house, um…
Shion: Yeah, it’s in 8th District.
There was a brief pause.
Shion: Listen, Allen. Don’t take your eyes off KOS-MOS, okay?
Allen: Uh, yeah, of course. Um…why?
Shion ignores Allen and proceeds to the elevators. After Shion left the scene…
Allen: There is definitely something wrong with her today.
Later, in the map of Second Miltia…
Shion: Well, there’s no point in getting upset about it. I guess I’ll go to the
city and have a look around.
Shion proceeds to City Sector Two. In there…
Shion: Moby Dick’s Café? Could it be…
Shion enters Moby Dick’s Café. Inside…
Shion: Wow! It really is! Hey, Boss!
Shion approaches closer to the Boss.
Shion: (giggles) Hi!
Boss: Well, well, well. If it isn’t Shion!
Shion approaches even closer.
Boss: You’ve sure grown up since the last time I saw you! You were still in
high school, right?
Shion: Yes! Sorry I haven’t kept in touch. I guess you moved over here, huh?
Boss: Yeah, there’s no stopping the redevelopment around here.
Shion: Right… It wouldn’t be Moby Dick’s if it was any other way.
Boss: Well, have a seat. You want the usual?
Shion: Please. Actually, I’m kind of hungry, too.
Boss: You got it! So, are you off today?
Shion: I wish. No, unfortunately I’m working. I’ve got business at the Second
Division.
Boss: Ah, right, you’re with Vector now. Your brother was telling me about that.
Shion: What? Jin comes here?
Boss: Sure, all the time. Wait, you haven’t seen him yet? You’ve come this far,
you ought to at least try paying him a visit.
Shion: Oh, not you, too. You know I have a hard time dealing with my brother.
Suddenly, the sound of the door opening can be heard.
Boss: Well, speak of the devil…
Shion: Huh?!
Jr. and chaos came in at the scene with new outfits. Jr. now wears red coat and
cowboy pants with gun holsters while chaos wears a new combat suit.
Jr.: Wow! Just look at this place, chaos! It’s perfect! It feels just like the
Pequod, doesn’t it?
Jr. and chaos approaches closer and saw Shion.
chaos: Shion!
Shion was surprised.
Shion: What are you two doing here?
Jr.: Well, we were starving, so…
chaos: So, we ended up here.
Boss: So you all know each other?
Shion: Y…yeah, kinda.
chaos: Kinda? What’s that supposed to mean?
Shion: Oh! I’m sorry. I was just a little rattled.
chaos: Rattled? About what?
Boss: Shion’s just got family matters on her mind today, right?
Shion giggles and Jr. and chaos looks puzzled. Meanwhile in the Second Miltian
government office, Gaignun appeared with Mary and Shelley in Helmer’s office.
Gaignun: My apologies for being late.
Helmer turned around.
Helmer: I’m glad you could make it. (to Mary and Shelley) Shelley! Mary! Look
at you! You’re all grown up!
Mary: Long time no see, Helmer!
Shelley: Mary! Show some respect!
Helmer laughs a little.
Helmer: It’s all right. It makes me feel like I’ve got a couple of daughters.
Tell me, Mary, are you still working on your act?
Mary: Yeah! Right now we’re kinda busy, but pretty soon, I’m gonna be the best
comedian in this star cluster…even if my sister won’t be my partner. (whispers
to Helmer) You know, I’ve been thinking about recruiting the Little Master.
Helmer: That sounds great. I think he’d be perfect.
Mary: Right!
Helmer placed his right hand on Mary’s left shoulder and then takes his hand
off of her shoulder. Helmer laughs a little. Helmer nods and Gaignun nods also.
Mary and Shelley left the scene.
Helmer: I’m afraid I don’t have good news. There’s been some disturbing
activity and not just from the remnants of U-TIC.
Gaignun: Yes.
The camera views Canaan.
Helmer: Under the circumstances, the peace treaty was our only choice fourteen
years ago. But it was hardly a unanimous decision. Now we’re starting to see
the strain from that within the Federation. According to Captain Roman’s
report, certain factions have begun showing signs of armed rebellion. The
Second Miltian government is on full alert. I’d like all of you at the
Foundation to be appropriately cautious, as well. After all, with the Zohar
emulators and the 100-Series Prototype in your possession, you’ve become the
focus of a great deal of attention.
Later, Shelley came in again.
Shelley: Master Gaignun, I’ve brought MOMO.
Helmer: The 100-Series Prototype.
Gaignun: Of course. Send her in.
MOMO came in.
MOMO: Allow me to introduce myself. I am the 100-Series Observational Unit
Prototype, designation: MOMO. The preliminary examination of my internal data
is now complete.
Canaan: A 100-Series Realian.
MOMO: You’re the Enhanced Memory Model, aren’t you? Nice to meet you.
Helmer: She does look more like her than the mass-produced ones do.
Gaignun: Yes, she’s just like Dr. Mizrahi’s late daughter.

MOMO walks away and is exiting Helmer’s office.
Helmer: Nigredo. I have something I need for you to do.
MOMO takes another bow before leaving the scene.
Gaignun: You want reconnaissance, don’t you?
Helmer: Sorry.
As Gaignun is about to leave…
Gaignun: No need to apologize. It is my family’s responsibility.
Outside of Helmer’s office, Gaignun is acting strange and then, his eyes open
with a strange vision.
Gaignun: (mind control) Hey Albedo, where are you?
The camera views the A.M.W.S.’s cockpit where Albedo is sitting in.
Albedo: Nigredo!
Gaignun: (mind control) Well, hello then. You sound like you’re doing well,
unfortunately.
The screen splits into two with one viewing Gaignun and the other viewing
Albedo.
Albedo: And you’re glib as ever. What’s wrong? Are you lonely, little baby?
Gaignun: (mind control) Oh, I’m just doing a little information gathering. Of
course, it still isn’t too late for us to come to terms.
Albedo: Oh, so now it’s peace talks, huh? Didn’t McCartney say that, too?
“Ebony and ivory live together in perfect harmony.”
Albedo laughs.
Albedo: But I know your true form, executioner.
Gaignun: I shed that skin long ago.
Albedo: Is that so? You sure you’re not just hanging around Rubedo because
you’re waiting for the chance to carry out your mission? I’ll be borrowing
Rubedo, soon. I don’t need you though. Still, I look forward to your efforts
nonetheless.
Gaignun: Wait! No!
Gaignun’s eyes glowed in green and suddenly, Albedo’s right arm disappeared and
then reappeared again.
Albedo: Scary, scary… You’ve always been two-faced, you know. Offering life in
the one hand and delivering death in the other. Too bad I can’t die.
Albedo laughs really hard and then Gaignun regained his senses.
Gaignun: So, he really intends to link with U-DO no matter what. Still…What
does he want with Rubedo?
Later, the camera switches to the Moby Dick Café where Shion’s group are having
their curry and rice. Jr. eats his curry and rice really fast.
Jr.: This rocks!
chaos: I get it. So this is where your curry comes from.
Shion: (giggles) Figured it out, huh? By the way, how’s MOMO? Is she done
already?
chaos: They told us the main examination will start tomorrow. There don’t seem
to be any problems.
Jr.: (eating fast) Yeah. So, since we had some free time, we thought we’d visit
the city.
Shion: I see.
chaos: (to Shion) What about you? Did you turn over KOS-MOS already?
Shion: (sigh) Uh, yeah… I had Allen take over the process. It might take some
time, though, depending on what else crops up.
Jr. drinks his beverage.
Jr.: Did something happen over there? You don’t look very happy.
Shion: (sigh) You know how it is. We’ve been together for a long time, so
saying goodbye is…well, you know.
Jr.: (continues eating) Hmm. That tough, huh?
chaos: Well yeah. Think about it. What if you had to give up your precious
Kahles scope? How would that feel?
Jr.: Oh, that would be tough. My wallet and my heart would both grieve.
chaos: Told you.
Shion: Please, do you really have to compare KOS-MOS to Jr.’s collection?
Shion’s group giggles. A little later, someone came in.
Mysterious Voice: Good afternoon, Boss.
Boss: Hey, welcome back. What a coincidence! Just now, Shion was…
Jin in his kimono came in. Then…
Boss: Huh?
The chair where Shion was previously sitting in is empty. Jr. finishes his
curry and rice and drinks his beverage. Then, he saw Shion hiding behind the
plant structures.
Jr.: Huh?
Shion tries to use body language to explain to Jr. what is going on.
Jr.: You’re praying?
Shion is still using body language.
Jr.: You’re chest?
Shion continues the body language.
Jr.: You’re playing the drums?
Shion is helpless.
Jr.: Man, I give up! What are you trying to say, Shion?
Shion: Not so loud! Ah!
Jin: (heard Shion’s voice) “Shion?” And a voice I’ve heard somewhere before…
Jin approaches the table of Shion’s groups’ and when Jin saw Shion, Shion
covers her eyes, but had to give up because she was seen by Jin.
Shion: (with dissatisfaction) Uh, hi. Long time no see.
Later…
Jin: I’m Jin. Jin Uzuki. Pleased to meet you.
Jin shakes chaos’s hand.
chaos: The pleasure is mine.
Jin takes a seat near Shion.
Jin: So, you’re both with Shion.
Shion places both hands over her face, as she is uncomfortable around Jin.
Jin: Tell me, has my foolish sister been causing you trouble?
Shion: Foolish?
chaos: Quite the opposite. You know, we’re actually very much in her debt.
Jin: Truly? You know, you don’t have to be nice just because she’s here.
Shion: Jin!
Jin: It appears I’m not very welcome here, am I?
Shion: Oh, come on. I didn’t say that. I just—
Jin: (to the Boss) Hey Boss. I’ll have what they’re having, please. Extra spicy.
Shion: Hey! Listen to me when I’m talking to you!
Jin: I am listening. So, what were you saying?
Shion: (frustrated) Forget it. It’s just not worth it.
A little later, the Boss brought the plate of curry and rice to Jin’s table.
Jin: (to Shion) You know, you could have called me. I would have come to meet
you. So, how long are you here anyway?
Shion: I…I was busy! The only reason I’m here is because I got a sudden
assignment. I have to spend tonight getting ready for the return trip.
Jr.: Huh? Hey, I thought you said…
Shion went partially under the table and kicked Jr.’s foot.
Jr.: Ow!
Shion giggles.
Shion: Never mind. It’s nothing really.
Suddenly, Shion’s U.M.N. device rang.
Shion: I wonder who that could be.
Shion puts the communication through.
Allen: Hey, Chief. How’s it going? Listen, about KOS-MOS, it looks like the
Tertiary Equipment code’s going to take a little while. Probably about two or
three days, at least I’d say. So, I guess we can just take it easy for a while,
ok?
Shion places both of her hands over her face.
Allen: Uh, Chief? Is something wrong? You look kind of upset.
Shion: Umph. I’m guessing this isn’t a practical joke.
Allen: What?
Shion: Nothing. Your timing is so perfect. Thank you.
Allen: Wait, Chief!
Shion ended communication with Allen.
Jin: I see… So, you’ll be taking it easy for a while, hmm?
Shion: Okay, fine. I’ll come back home, all right? Will that satisfy you?
Jin: Oh, right. (to Jr. and chaos) Would the two of you like to come visit?
It’s not far from here.
Jr.: (to chaos) Well? What do you think?
chaos: I don’t know… It’s a family reunion. We’d probably just be in the way.
Wouldn’t we? Ahem. Of course, we could also take you up on your offer. Just for
a little while…

Shion: (to herself) …Oh, all right. I’m really not in the mood for it, but I’ll

With Shion unenthusiastic about Jin, her group proceeds to Uzuki Residence. In

Jr.: Wow, chaos! This house is made of wood!
chaos: (looking at the kanji stand) Yeah. And look at that.
Jr.: It’s amazing. This place is a bookstore. Man! This is so antique! It’s too
bad Gaignun isn’t here to see this!
Shion walks towards the house.
Shion: (dissatisfied) I knew it!
chaos: Knew what?
Shion: (to Jin and is dissatisfied) Hang on, Jin. What is this? I thought you
opened a doctor’s office.
Jin: (crosses his arms) What’s with you? What happened to, “It’s good to be
back home, big brother”?
Shion: (dissatisfied) Sure, if this were a normal home! What happened here?
Don’t tell me you got bored and changed professions again. Honestly, you’ve
never kept a job for more than six months!
Jin: Look, in this day and age, doctors are mostly just conversation partners
for the elderly. In other words, counselors. I mean, aside from mental illness,
everything can be cured with medicine or nanotechnology. There’s nothing left
for me to do. So, why go to all the trouble of running an expensive medical
practice just to chat with people? I can do that in any business and if I could
sell some stuff, that’d be just a bonus.
Shion: Oh, please. You just wanted to use your hobby to cut yourself a tax
break. As if you actually invested much in your medical practice, anyway. And
what’s up with these mountains of books? There’s no way these were any less
expensive! Where in the world did you get them all anyway?
Jin: Half of them had been resting in Grandfather’s storage for years. I’m sure
you at least looked through them when you were a child. The rest are from
customers. There are a lot of people with obscure tastes around here, you know.
Building a collection is easier than you’d think. Now, shouldn’t we attend to
our guests?
Shion: What? Oh! I was so shocked at what you’ve done that I completely forgot.
(to chaos and Jr.) chaos! Jr.! Come on insi--
Shion saw Jr. holding a bunch of books.
Shion: What are you doing?
Jr.: Hmm? Ah, I thought I’d go ahead and get these.
chaos: Oh, um, thank Shion. (to Jr.) Come on, Jr., let’s go in.
Jr.: Come on. What about these?
chaos: You can buy all the books you want later. Come on!
chaos had to take the books away from Jr. Meanwhile in the U-TIC battleship…
Sellers: Oh, and as for Pleroma, I went ahead and had it destroyed. I realize
that the fortress was named after the immigration ship from Earth. However, we
simply can’t let something tainted by the Federation just float around out
there. It’s not a good policy. I suppose next time I could consider your
feelings before eliminating such an historical relic.
Margulis: Don’t be absurd, Sellers. Our current Patriarch chose that name in
his madness. As for my feelings, I couldn’t possibly care less.
Sellers: The Patriarch’s madness? That sounds like something you’d say.
Pellegri: Margulis. What do you need?
Pellegri appeared at the scene.
Margulis: Pellegri. Soon, Albedo will break Old Miltia’s seal, and the
Patriarch will order the Immigrant Fleet to begin its invasion. All of this, in
order to secure the original Zohar.
Pellegri: And you want me to act as point?
Margulis: No. You will operate on your own. The commander and I both desire
this of you. Don’t forget to tell Richard and Hermann… you three had better not
fail me again.
Pellegri: Yes, sir.
The camera switches to Uzuki Residence of inside the house. Inside, Shion’s
group sits on their legs near a table and having tea.
Jin: (to Shion) And so, you’re saying you want to help them?
Shion: Yes.
Jin: I can’t condone that. It sounds to me like they’re a couple of skilled
professionals. It would be foolish for an amateur like you to get involved.
Shion: An amateur? I’ve already made a difference. Right?
Jin: Anyway, get some rest. Tomorrow, we’ll go pay our respects to Mother and
Father.
Shion: (about to get upset) Wait a minute, Jin. Not this again. I’ve already
told you, I’m not going to their graves. No. I absolutely refuse.
Jin: You’re still their daughter. Since you’re here, you should at least put
flowers on their graves out of respect.
Shion: (getting upset) Just stop it. I can’t believe we’re talking about this
again.
Shion places both of her hands over her face.
Shion: (sigh) Mom and Dad aren’t even in those graves! You know just as well as
I do where they are! Right? (raising her voice a little) You and I were the
only ones there that day. And if you…if you’d only been there sooner, they’d

Jin’s feelings are hurt from Shion’s attitude and what she said.
Shion: (regretful) I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to…
Shion gets up and approaches the screen door.
Shion: Either way, I’m still not going to their graves.
Shion left the scene. Later, in the room of books…
Jr.: Well, I’d better get going. They’re probably waiting for me, so I…
Jin: (to Jr.) I’m very sorry you had to see that. It’s a little embarrassing.
Jr.: Oh, no, don’t worry. Are you guys okay?
Jin: Hmph? Oh yes. We’re still brother and sister, after all.
chaos: (to Jin) I’m sorry, but would you mind if I stayed here tonight? Of
course, I don’t want to intrude.
Jin: You’re not intruding at all. Please, you are welcome. Shion will be
delighted you’re staying.
Jr.: (to chaos) Well, it’s all right with me. MOMO isn’t getting analyzed ‘til

Jr. left the scene. Later in the night, Jin sits near the entrance floors.
While sitting and minding his own business…
chaos: Are you all right?
chaos appeared at the scene.
Jin: Sounds peaceful, doesn’t it?
chaos sits near Jin.
Jin: On nights when I can’t sleep, I find it easier to relax here.
chaos: It’s Shion, isn’t it?
Jin: Well…yes. It’s been two years since we’ve seen each other. I’ve always
thought of her as a child, but she won’t…
Jin sighs and then laughs.
Jin: I think she must have gotten that from our grandfather.
The camera views the candle stand with two moths flying around it. One of the
moths was engulfed in flames and dies.
Jin: So, what is it you want to ask me? You’ve got something on your mind.
chaos: Um, Jin. About U-TIC, are you still…
Jin: Ah, that. Fourteen years… It’s like so long ago, but it feels like it was
only yesterday. It seems that fate won’t allow me to escape that curse. Or,
perhaps I brought it upon myself.
There was a brief pause.
Jin: The human race began its existence as a simple flock of hunters and
gatherers. Eventually, we learned to control fire, and from fire, we obtained
the power of the blade. Our consciousness constantly changes form in its
unending search for the future. When a man finds a guiding light, he runs to
it, sometimes forgetting its true nature in the process.
There was a moment of pause as the camera views chaos and Jin from far away.
Jin: Perhaps we humans are like moths. Aimlessly flitting around the inviting
candlelight, unaware of the outcome that awaits us.
Jin places his hand near the fire of the candlelight.
chaos: Jin…
Jin stands up.
Jin: I’m sure she’s caused you all kinds of problems. I know she’s a problem,
but please, take care of her for me.
chaos: It’s not like that.
Jin: I…I wasn’t able to be with her when she needed me most. And now, thanks to
that, I still can’t let myself get close to her again. I think perhaps…I’m
afraid. I’m afraid that if I try to get any closer, she might turn me away,
shut me out…and cut me off as her brother.
chaos: Don’t worry. Shion talks about you all the time. If you ask me, she
doesn’t seem like the type of person who’d cut off her family.
Jin: She probably adds the phrase “no-good” when she talks about me, doesn’t
she?
chaos: Well, sometimes.
Jin laughs.
Jin: You know, it’s strange. I feel like I can talk to you about anything,
chaos. It’s like you’re much older than you look, as if you’d been alive for
hundreds of years.
chaos: Oh, no. I just like to take things easy. Jr. makes fun of me for it. He
always says, “chaos, you are so slow!”
chaos and Jin laughs. The next day, chaos is outside and Shion appeared at the
scene with a new outfit. She now has a new hairstyle with a hairpin placed on
the upper back of her hair with some of the hair in a short ponytail facing
down. She also wears a pair of earrings and futuristic Asian clothes.
Shion: Sorry to keep you.
chaos: You look like a different person when you’re not in uniform.
Shion: (puzzled) Oh? Does it look bad on me?
chaos: Oh, not at all. You look great.
Shion: (giggles) Thanks.
chaos: You sure you want to leave without saying goodbye to your brother?
Shion: Yeah, we talked yesterday. Honestly, I don’t know what I would say if I
saw him. You know, I’m sorry I can’t be there for MOMO’s analysis. I’ve just
got a lot going on right now. I can’t leave Allen by himself. Plus I’m worried
about KOS-MOS, too.
chaos: It’s all right. Don’t worry about it. The analysis itself isn’t all that
problematic. Besides, everyone from the Foundation will be there.
Shion: Okay, wish MOMO luck for me.
chaos: Sure thing. See ya.
chaos left the scene. In the map of Second Miltia…
chaos: MOMO and the others are waiting. I better get to the U.M.N. Control
Center!
chaos proceeds to the U.M.N. Control Center. The camera views the outside of
the U.M.N. Control Center. Inside, Jr., Gaignun and MOMO are in the main office
room. MOMO is now wearing a new outfit. She has a beret and a new 100-Series
Realian uniform.
Gaignun: She should be arriving soon.
Jr.: I’m surprised a Subcommittee specialist would personally get involved.
Gaignun: That’s just how important this is. Not just to the Subcommittee, but
to her, too.
MOMO saw someone coming in.
MOMO: (excited) Mommy!
Juli Mizrahi appeared at the scene.
Juli: It’s been a while.
Gaignun: You’re looking well, as always.
Juli: Allow me to thank you on behalf of the entire Subcommittee. We’re very
grateful for your help during the Proto Merkabah incident.
Ziggy takes a quick glance at MOMO and then faces Juli Mizrahi.
Ziggy: We couldn’t have done it without MOMO. She was immensely helpful.
Juli: I see. Thanks for your support, MOMO.
MOMO: (excited) Mommy!
Juli Mizrahi walks towards Jr. and Gaignun.
Juli: I’d like to organize the data if you could prepare a room for me, I’d
appreciate it.
MOMO looks at Juli Mizrahi and turns around as if rejected by Juli.
Jr.: Gladly.
Jr. looks as if he was down in the dumps.
Juli: MOMO.
MOMO: Yes?
Juli: Once things settle down, it’ll be nice if we can live together.
Juli Mizrahi left the scene with Jr. Ziggy places his left hand on MOMO’s
shoulder with satisfaction.
Ziggy: MOMO, that’s great.
MOMO: Uh huh!
Shelley: MOMO, please come this way.
MOMO: Okay!
MOMO, Ziggy and Gaignun follows Shelley. The camera views chaos coming out of
the elevator.
chaos: I wonder if everyone is here already, I better meet up with them.
chaos proceeds towards the analysis room. In the room across the analysis room,
Juli Mizrahi use the console and Jr. speaks to Juli Mizrahi.
Jr.: Doctor, what was that about?
Juli: What?
Jr.: You know, acting nice to MOMO all of a sudden.
Juli: Did it seem unnatural? (faces Jr.) I know that Joachim designed that
Realian to be stimulated by familial warmth. In that case, fulfilling that need
is a necessary part of my job in order to ensure that the examination proceeds
smoothly.
Jr.: Hmph. I should have known.
Before Juli Mizrahi could leave…
Jr.: You know, pretending to be cold and emotionless is only going to end up
hurting you in the end.
Juli: That Realian was created by Joachim. And that frightens me.
Jr.: Look, I don’t know what kind of person Joachim Mizrahi was. I don’t even
know what he was thinking when he created the 100-Series. But still, I made a
promise to Sakura.
Juli: To Sakura?
Jr.: So I’m going to treat MOMO like a real girl.
Juli: What sort of promise?
Jr.: She asked me to look after her mother and sister.
There was a brief pause.
Jr.: Please doctor. I’d like you to smile again. I’m sure that’s what Sakura
would want, too.
chaos then came in. Juli Mizrahi looks unhappy and left the scene.
chaos: Did I interrupt something?
Jr.: Nah, nothing like that. Tell me, how’s Shion? She all right?
chaos: I don’t think there’s anything to worry about. But that family does have
issues.
Jr.: A complicated relationship, huh? Well, I certainly know what that’s like.
Later…
chaos: It looks like there’s still time before the analysis starts. I wonder
what the others are doing.
Jr.: MOMO is already in the analysis room getting ready, Ziggy is…I think he
was going to get maintenance on his body before the analysis starts.
chaos and Jr. proceeds to the maintenance room. In there…
Juli: How do you feel?
Ziggy wakes up from his maintenance seat.
Ziggy: Dr. Mizrahi?
Juli: MOMO asked me to do it. She said, “Mommy, you’re a famous scientist, so I
bet you know all about cybernetic engineering.”
Ziggy: Ah, I’d prefer…
Juli: I’m not a young woman. Don’t let it bother you.
Juli Mizrahi uses the console.
Juli: A famous scientist? Perhaps, infamous is more appropriate.
Ziggy: You seem to have difficulty dealing with MOMO. Why?
Juli: Could you love something that looked like your own daughter, but wasn’t?
Ziggy: That is a difficult question.
Juli: Merely creating something to look like my daughter won’t bring back her
soul. And with 100-Series Realians scattered all over this star cluster, they
all serve as a constant reminder of her death.
Ziggy: Was it your husband’s idea to make the 100-Series look like her?
Juli: Yes.
Juli Mizrahi faces Ziggy.
Juli: Do you have any children?
Ziggy: A son. He was a healthy intelligent boy. I lost him in an accident.
Juli: I’m sorry. Is that why you committed suicide?
Ziggy: Yes, it is.
Juli: Perhaps I, too, should have done the same when my daughter died. But
instead of grief, my heart was filled with anger towards my husband.
Ziggy: You seem to be a very strong person.
Juli: (sigh) No. I’m just stubborn.
Ziggy: Dr. Mizrahi, this is just an idea, but why don’t you imagine you had two
daughters?

Juli pauses for a brief moment.

Juli Mizrahi left the scene. Ziggy gets out of the maintenance seat. Ziggy
checks his robotic left arm and spins his robotic left hand twice.
Ziggy: (thinks its Jr. and chaos) All right, you can come in now. I believe I
told you eavesdropping wasn’t very admirable.
chaos and Jr. came in at the scene.
Jr.: We weren’t doing it on purpose. Still, I gotta say, old man, you are full
of surprises.
Ziggy: (confused) What do you mean? I’m not following what you’re saying.
Jr.: Yeah, whatever.
Ziggy: Anyway, isn’t it about time for MOMO’s analysis to begin? You can’t
afford to be standing around here, wasting your time.
Jr.: Oh, crap. We’d better get back.
Later…
chaos: Let’s go to the analysis room.
chaos’s group proceeds to the analysis room. Near the entrance to the analysis
room, chaos’s group talks to Mauro.
Mauro: I apologize for the wait. Preparations for the analysis are now
complete. Are you ready?
chaos: Yes.
Mauro: Then please go in.
Inside the analysis room, Mary uses the console to get started on MOMO’s
analysis.
Mary: Just relax, okay MOMO? This is just the initial preparation for the
analysis.
MOMO: Thank you. I’ll do my best.
MOMO looks at Ziggy and does a small giggle.
MOMO: You know, I’m a self-adjusting model. I’ve never had maintenance like
this before. So, I guess this is what it feels like when you do it, Ziggy?
MOMO floats up and a blue field surrounds MOMO.
Ziggy: Don’t worry. There’s nothing to be afraid of.
MOMO nods to Ziggy.
100-Series Realian: We will be shutting down your artificial personality layer
during the analysis. Your artificial emotion and abstract cognitive functions
will temporarily cease to function, but please do not be alarmed.
MOMO places both hands on her heart.
MOMO: Artificial emotion?
100-Series Realian: Since your artificial personality is an option for
interpersonal interaction, this procedure will have no effect on your
observational functions.
MOMO: (wondering) My heart is just an optional function?
Ziggy: MOMO…
MOMO moves her hand towards Ziggy.
100-Series Realian: Personality Sleep Mode activated. Shutting down.
MOMO shuts down and Ziggy looks unhappy. Later in the control room of the
analysis room…
Helmer: So, how is it going?
Mary: They’re having a pretty hard time preparing for MOMO’s analysis. As is
the protection on her wasn’t complex enough, some of her routes were damaged in
that last hacking attempt.
Jr.: I see. So her personality layer is deactivated.
Mary: Yeah, it’s kinda painful, like we’re doing something terrible to her. It
reminds me of when we were on Old Miltia, kept on constant meds. I felt totally
empty inside then. I really hated it.
Jr.: Yeah…
Mary: We humans might be shameless at times, but that’s still how we feel. I
think if someone told me that my heart was just a fake, I’d really be hurt.
There was a brief pause.
Jr.: Even our hearts might be nothing more than playthings created by god.
Jr. starts walking away.
Shelley: Little Master, are you sure you don’t want to be here?
Jr.: (frightened) I can’t watch. I’m scared.
Shelley: Little Master…
Jr.: I’m a…coward.
Jr. walks away from the scene. Later, the 100-Series Realian makes the
announcement of the analysis of MOMO and the countdown process.
Mary: Just a little more, MOMO. Just a little more and it’ll be all over, okay?
We’ll all go someplace really fun after this.
100-Series Realian: Final barrier decode pattern decrypted. Initiating complete
protection removal.
While the 100-Series Realian continues her announcements, Mary looks at MOMO.

Suddenly, monitors with MOMO appeared in the control room.
MOMO: S…top…
Gaignun, Helmer, chaos and the rest of the staff are shocked.

Suddenly, the monitors with red scrambled screens showed a warning.

Juli: It’s MOMO. She’s cutting her own neural pathways, to disperse her memory!
She’s destroying her own mind to protect the data that Joachim entrusted to her.
Ziggy: What?
The camera scrolls through different characters who are watching MOMO.
Juli: MOMO!
The red field around MOMO emits a bright light and MOMO falls to the floor
unconscious.
Mary: The 100-Series Prototype has shut down!
Ziggy and Juli: MOMO!
Ziggy and Juli Mizrahi checks on MOMO who is unconscious. Suddenly, the
monitors showed Albedo.
Albedo: So… I trust you liked my gift?
Gaignun: Albedo!
Albedo: Looks like ma péche managed to protect Mizrahi’s legacy with her own
body. How very brave. However, no matter how charming, in the end she’s nothing
more than a puppet. A puppet waiting for a miracle to make her human, believing

Mary rushes to get ready for the twelve-device-activator. The camera zooms into
Ziggy’s eyes and then his flashback can be seen on camera where trails of blood
with a kid shoe over it. Then a mysterious cloaked man stands near the bloody
trail. As Juli Mizrahi desperately gives MOMO CPR…
Juli: This time…I will save her. I swear it!
Meanwhile in the Vector Second Division, Shion and Allen gets a communication
through monitor from Jr. and Helmer.
Shion: Oh no. Poor MOMO.
Jr. I’m so sorry. We were right there and we still let this happen to her.
Helmer: Her basic functions have recovered. Though she avoided death, her
neural network, the rough equivalent of her brain, has been completely
shattered to pieces. We need the expertise of Vector'’ Third Division if we
stand any chance of recovering the Y-Data. This crisis isn’t just Second
Miltia’s problem anymore. On behalf of the entire government, I am hereby
requesting your official assistance.
Shion: MOMO… All this to protect her father’s wishes. Very well. We would be
honored to assist you. Besides, MOMO is a close friend.
The communication monitor with Jr. and Helmer shuts off. Later, before Shion
could leave…
Allen: This is terrible! I think it’s going to take a while to get help from
Third Division. I hope MOMO will be all right until then.

Immigrant Fleet to deploy ships to Second Miltia?
Meanwhile in the Federation Parliament Building…
Man 2: Now, now, let’s not be so quick to judge. Let’s at least hear what they
have to say.
The monitor of the Patriarch appeared near the men on the monitor.
Patriarch: Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to speak. Once, in this
region of space, there existed the great land of Miltia. As you all know, when
the unfortunate events occurred fourteen years ago, that land along with
mankind’s greatest treasure, was sealed away like a cursed past. That greatest
of treasures originally belonged to all of mankind, and we of the Immigrant
Fleet had been its caretakers from time immemorial.
Man 1: Now wait just a minute. All Zohar activity currently falls under the
jurisdiction of the Federation. You aren’t trying to monopolize that great
treasure for yourselves, now, are you?
Patriarch: We wouldn’t dream of it. All I am saying is, there are those who
would claim it as their own.
Man 2: Are you insinuating that the Miltian government would do such a thing?
Patriarch: They have clearly used the events of fourteen years ago to justify
their mobilization. To demonstrate that, they have summoned the great evil,
Proto Merkabah, in an attempt to reignite the flames of conflict across the
galaxy. They intend to take advantage of the chaos of war to use the relic in
Old Miltia for their own self-interests. In response to these usurpers, the
Miltian government, we propose to reclaim our long standing traditional rights
to be the caretakers of the relic.
Man 3: The incident you speak of was perpetrated by the U-TIC Organization. All
accusations against the Miltian government were officially cleared, were they
not? I believe there was even evidence provided by Vector.
Man 2: Yes. But there are also rumors that Vector is supporting the Miltian
government. I wonder just how trustworthy Vector’s data really is. Where is the
Miltian government’s representative now?
Man 1: Where is Representative Helmer? Doesn’t he have anything to say in this
matter?
Later, in the Uzuki Residence…
Jin: It’s been a long time, Lieutenant General. Or do you prefer Representative
Helmer, of the Second Miltian Parliament?
Helmer: The old way is fine, Captain. It suits me more. Well Captain, aren’t
you going to ask me why I’ve come?
Jin: I’ve got a fairly good idea.
Helmer: Fine. Then I’ll get straight to the point. Captain, I’d like to enlist

There was a brief pause.
Helmer: I believe you already know Canaan.
Jin: Yes. It’s been a while.
Helmer: The data you entrusted to Canaan… I want to find out the truth it holds.
Jin: That evidence was obtained illegally. It won’t stand up in court.
Helmer: I don’t care. If I can just find out who our real enemy is, that’ll be
more than enough. I want to know, Captain.
Jin thinks for a brief moment.
Jin: Lieutenant General, these days I am but a lowly used bookseller. I’m not
sure I am capable of meeting your expectations.
Helmer pulls out a U.M.N. device.

Helmer: The truth will surely be of great benefit to you as well.
Jin examines the monitor of the U.M.N. device.
Jin: Lieutenant General, you must realize that in order to unravel the data
that I passed to Canaan, we have to go back there. I assume you are aware of
what that means.
Helmer: I’m well aware, and I’m ready.
Later in the U.M.N. Control Center, Shion and Allen finally arrived.
Jr.: Shion! I thought we were getting someone from the Third Division. This is
outside of First Division’s jurisdiction, isn’t it?
Shion: Yes. Normally the Third Division would have sent someone, but we were
closer. It’s just easier for me to take care of it. Besides, I’ve already had
everything we need transported over. Don’t worry, we’ve got the technical side
covered. You can relax.
Allen approaches Shion.
Allen: Honestly, Chief, you’re so stubborn. You know, you’re gonna have a hard
time with the Third Division later.
chaos: Yet, in spite of that, Allen, you’re still right here helping.
Allen: What? Ah…well…I can’t leave it all to the Chief, now can I?
The camera views MOMO floating in a blue field.
Shion: (to Jr.) Jr., we want to save MOMO, too. Or, do you think Allen and I
aren’t reliable enough?
Jr.: No, no. Well, I don’t know about Allen, but I’m glad you’re here, Shion.
Allen: Hey! What is that supposed to—
Jr.: We’re short on time. As soon as you’re ready, let’s go.
Shion: Right.
In the analysis room, Shion’s group talks to Allen.
Allen: Is everyone ready to dive? MOMO’s subconscious domain is likely in a
highly unstable state. I don’t know what dangers you may face, so you should
make sure you’re well prepared. As soon as you’re ready, I’ll begin the dive.
I’ll wait here, so just let me know.
Shion’s group talks to Allen again.
Allen: If there’re no problems, I’ll commence the dive. Are you ready?
Shion: Ready!
Allen: All right! Then I’ll initiate the dive.
Later, Shion’s group are in the room with MOMO and Allen is in the control
room. Allen speaks through communication for the room with MOMO.
Allen: The dive subjects for this operation will be the Chief, Jr., chaos and
Ziggy. I’ve also arranged for KOS-MOS’ data to be simultaneously transmitted
from Second Division into the Encephalon. I’m sure having her around will be
reassuring.
Shion: That’s good thinking, Allen.
Allen: Our dive target is MOMO Mizrahi’s subconscious domain, which is modeled
after Sakura Mizrahi’s memories. Like the dive into KOS-MOS’ Encephalon, there
is a possibility of resonant memory playbacks with those who’ve closely shared
time and space with her.
Jr.: This time, that’d be me.
Shion: Jr.?
Ziggy: Dr. Mizrahi told me that Sakura suffered from a central nervous system
disorder. Did you have contact with her?
Jr.: I did. The going theory was that Sakura’s symptoms were somehow connected
to unusual wave pulse within the U.M.N. She was being attended to at the Yuriev
Institute, where her treatment was also a part of the U.R.T.V.s’ U.M.N. link
training.
Shion: Sakura, the girl MOMO was modeled after?
Ziggy: I’d like to ask you something. What is U-DO, exactly? Why were you
U.R.T.V.s created? To fight it?
Jr.: U-DO is the Unus-Mundus Drive Operation system. From the name, it might
sound like some U.M.N. control A.I., but that thing was not created by human
hands.
Shion: Yes. That thing…that’s no A.I. Nothing that simple could have created a
space-time anomaly.
Jr.: Exactly. They just picked the name because it sounded good. At that, they
tried to make us believe it, too. They said it was an artificial consciousness
within the U.M.N. that was carrying some kind of dangerous waves. But that was
a total lie. Our father, Dmitri Yuriev, knew about it from the start.
In Jr.’s memory, the camera views the area with the U.R.T.V.s standing in
circle formation along with Nigredo, Rubedo and Albedo who is grabbing Rubedo’s
right hand. There was a bright reddish light from the pit.
Rubedo: All right, open spiritual link. All U.R.T.V.s match your individual
waves to mine.
Rubedo sees Albedo still holding his hand and he forces Albedo to face one of
his hands towards the bright light under the pit.
Rubedo: Here it comes.
The U.R.T.V.s begins the linking process. Blast waves appears towards the light
circle where the U.R.T.V.s are.
Albedo: (frightened) I’m scared, Rubedo. Don’t let go of my hand.
Rubedo: Concentrate, Albedo. Just do it like in training and you’ll be fine.
Suddenly, a spark can be seen erupted from the light circle. Rubedo got tensed
up. Then the camera shows the planet having something coming out of it and
getting destroyed. Rubedo gained his senses.
Rubedo: What the…
Nigredo: Rubedo?
Rubedo starts backing up.
Rubedo: Emergency cutoff! Shutting down spiritual link!
All of the U.R.T.V.s gasp towards Rubedo.
Rubedo: I know what I’m doing. Even though we think of them as mental waves,
the resulting anti-particle collision with us will be converted directly into
thermal energy. Dad knew everything. That bastard!
Nigredo: The link is already complete. We can’t stop it.
Rubedo tries to back away from the light circle.
Albedo: No! Rubedo, don’t let go!
Rubedo: No, I’m cutting the link.
Tears of fear are coming out of Albedo’s eyes.
Albedo: Don’t let go!
Rubedo lets go of Albedo. Suddenly, something terrible is happening. The blast
waves hits and kills all of the U.R.T.V.s except Nigredo, Rubedo and Albedo.
Then suddenly, another blast waves appears near Albedo. Then, Albedo screams
really loud and the camera stretches the scene as it gets wider until a mist of
redness appeared on the camera. The memory ended.
Ziggy: So what is it?
Jr.: It’s an energy from a higher dimension. An entity humans couldn’t possibly
control. It’s ironic that we U.R.T.V.s are its anti-existence, and yet we were
never told what it really is.
Shion: U-DO…
Later, Shion’s group wears their red Encephalon diving glasses.
Allen: Encephalon construction complete. We can open the interconnection at any
time now.
Shion: Okay, go ahead.
Allen: All right everyone, just relax and enjoy the trip. And don’t worry, I’m
a pro at this.
Shion puts on her red Encephalon diving glasses.
Shion: He’s right. We’re in good hands.
As the announcement voice is making the announcements…
Allen: KOS-MOS data transfer confirmed. Initiating reconstruction.
The camera views Shion and chaos with the glasses on.
Allen: All preparations for direct approach complete.
The camera views Ziggy and Jr. with the glasses on.
Jr.: All right. Let’s go.
Shion’s group successfully dives into MOMO’s subconsciousness. Inside, Shion’s
group appears in Sakura’s World.
Ziggy: Where are we?
Jr.: The world inside MOMO’s subconscious domain. Sakura’s inner world. MOMO!
Jr. saw MOMO sitting on a bench. Jr. approaches MOMO.
Jr.: MOMO, you’re okay! Hey, can’t you hear me? Say something!
Shion: It’s no use, Jr. She’s not going to answer.
Jr.: Why not?! She’s right there in front of us!
Shion: Her personality layer is off-line. Plus, her neural network’s completely
fragmented. She can’t understand anything we say. She may not be able to even
hear us right now.
Jr.: No. Dammit!
Shion: The MOMO you’re seeing here is nothing more than a product of her own
subconscious. Even if she were able to take some sort of action, it would only
be a simple reflex. MOMO…Even in her current state, she’s still trying so hard
to help us.
Ziggy: What are you doing? We don’t have much time. So you want to worry MOMO
even more?
Jr.: Right. MOMO…just hang on a little bit longer.
Later…
Jr.: Come on, MOMO, let’s go. I swear I’ll always keep you safe.
MOMO joins Shion’s group. Shion’s group proceeds to the upstairs bedroom. Upon
entering, Shion’s group saw a girl sleeping in a flashback.
Shion: Is that…MOMO?
Ziggy: No…
Jr.: It’s Sakura.
A voice nearby can be heard.
Albedo: Rubedo…it’s all dark.
Nigredo: It’s kinda cramped in here.
Rubedo: I know! Just shut up for a second, will ya?
Albedo: I’m scared. Turn the light on!
Rubedo: Cut it out! Quit movin’ around so much… Ow!
Nigredo: Quit pushing, stupid!
While the camera was viewing the closet in Sakura’s bedroom, the closet door
opened and Rubedo, Albedo and Nigredo who were bunched up on each other fell
out of the closet.
Rubedo: What is this place?
Albedo: We must’ve messed up the connection coordinates.
Rubedo: Albedo, you stepped on my foot in there!
Albedo: Huh? I did not!
Shion does a loud sigh.
Jr.: Uh-huh. That’s us fourteen years ago.
Rubedo and Albedo starts arguing. Then, Nigredo looks at Sakura in the bed.
Nigredo: That girl is our contact target. The coordinates were correct.
Sakura woke up.
Albedo: That girl…she’s looking at us?
Sakura without a word looks at Rubedo, Albedo and Nigredo.
Rubedo: I…I’m sorry!
Sakura: Ah, you guys…
Rubedo, Albedo and Nigredo tries to get out through the closet.
Rubedo: Next time, we’ll come in through the door.
Sakura: Wait!
Rubedo, Albedo and Nigredo: Huh?!
Sakura: You guys… You can hear what I’m saying?
Rubedo, Albedo and Nigredo nods and then after a while of pause…
Sakura: I’m…I’m so happy you came.
Sakura has a tear coming out of her right eye. Rubedo, Albedo and Nigredo
approaches Sakura. The flashback ended. Jr.’s group follows the phantom trio of
Rubedo, Albedo and Nigredo to glowing light. Shion’s group steps on the glowing
light and are teleported to another location. Then, another flashback appeared
on the camera. In the Yuriev Institute, Juli Mizrahi and Dmitri Yuriev can be
seen talking to each other.
Juli: Dmitri. Are you sure those boys are going to be able to help with
Sakura’s treatment?
Yuriev: I don’t believe the condition your daughter suffers from is a mere
natural disorder. Therefore, contact with the anti-U-DO waveforms within the
U.R.T.V.s will be beneficial for her.
Juli: Hypersensitivity to the synchronicity of the U.M.N. We never had diseases
like that when the universe was still small.
A buzzer can be heard.
Employee: U.M.N. dive operation. Phase six complete. U.R.T.V. team commencing
dive-out, starting from number 660. Now opening dive-pods.
The dive-pods with Rubedo, Albedo and Nigredo opens and Rubedo wakes up.
Rubedo: That girl… That girl gave me a message. She said, “Please tell my
mother… Please tell my mother that I love her.” What else… She said, “I got a
seashell treasure box for my birthday last year. If you tell my mother that
she’ll understand.”
Juli Mizrahi approaches Rubedo.
Yuriev: So, the wavelengths matched up…
Juli: You were able to talk to Sakura?
Rubedo nods.
Juli: So, what’s your name?
Rubedo: Rubedo. Uh…I mean… U.R.T.V. unit number 666.
Juli Mizrahi kneels towards Rubedo and holds Rubedo’s right hand with both of
her hands.
Juli: Rubedo. Please keep telling me the things she says, all right?
There was a brief pause.
Rubedo: Yes, ma’am!
From a distance and through the glass window, Shion looks at Rubedo and Juli
Mizrahi.
Shion: Mom…
The flashback ended. Jr.’s group appeared in the Yuriev Institute.
Shion: What is this place?
Jr.: The Yuriev Institute. It’s the U.R.T.V. development facility. The place
where I was made.
Shion: It feels strange, like time has stopped. The people here can’t see us?
Jr.: Yeah, looks like it. This place is frozen in time at a point when Sakura
was alive. But why here? How do we save MOMO?
Ziggy: Hmm. It would seem that those three phantoms are the key. They look like
they’re leading us somewhere.
Shion: Right, we don’t have time to wander around. Let’s go look for them.
Shion’s group follows the phantom trios until a third flashback appearing on
the camera. In the flashback, Jr. and Shion appears from a distance of the
house and Rubedo appeared at the scene seeing Sakura playing a piano while Juli
Mizrahi is her piano instructor.
Rubedo: Sakura…
Sakura continues to play her piano.
Rubedo: She really can’t talk in this world.
Juli: That’s right. The neural pathways that recognize the outside world and
allow her to express herself have been completely severed. Her electric
potential pulse control was determined to be instable, but neither medicine nor
nanomachine-based Glilial supplements had any effect.

Sakura: What about you? Your dad is Dr. Yuriev, right? Don’t you have a mom?
Rubedo: Yeah, we have one. Genetically speaking, anyway. She had a healthy ovum
with a perfect set of chromosomes. That’s all we really know about her.
Sakura: How come you’re not looking for her? Don’t you wanna meet her?
Rubedo: (feeling upset) What’s the point? So I can say, “Hi! You’re the mother
of a bunch of genetically engineered bioweapons”?
Sakura tries to comfort Rubedo by placing her left hand on his right shoulder.
Sakura: Don’t say that. You’re not a weapon. You’re a wonderful boy.
Rubedo: (feeling upset) Oh yeah? The only time we can leave the Institute is
when there’s a war going on.
There was a brief pause.
Sakura: Hey, Rubedo. I have a favor to ask of you.
Rubedo puts his head up from his arm and looks at Sakura.
Sakura: My little sister is gonna be born soon. She’s kind of different from a
normal sister. I mean, my mom won’t be giving birth to her, but… My mother and
sister… I want you to look after them for me, okay?
Rubedo is about to look happy.
Rubedo: Okay! If she’s your sister, I’ll look after her like she was my own!
Sakura: You promise?
Rubedo: Of course! Leave it to me—
Just as Rubedo was about to finish his sentence, Sakura kissed him in the right
cheek without notice. Sakura gets up from the bench and opens the front door.
Sakura: Good night, Rubedo. See you tomorrow.
Sakura closed the door behind her and went in the house. Rubedo waved goodbye,
but he held his right cheek and felt like something wasn’t right from when
Sakura kissed him. The flashback ended. Jr.’s group continues to follow the
phantom trios. In the next area a fourth flashback appeared on the camera. In
the Yuriev Institute, Rubedo throws and catches the harmonica.
Nigredo: So, you practice along with her piano. If you’re that interested in
her, why don’t you just stay there in virtual space? I’m sure she’d like that,
too.
Rubedo: It’s not like that.
Albedo: Your concentration’s been slipping lately, Rubedo. It’s almost time for
our training in the U-DO simulator. You know that, right?

Albedo starts to cry. Rubedo approaches Albedo and Nigredo and the camera zooms
out from them. The flashback ended. Shion’s group follows the phantom trios. In
the next area, a fifth flashback appeared on the camera. In the Yuriev
Institute, Rubedo, Albedo and Nigredo face a female U.R.T.V.
Female U.R.T.V.: Please to meet you, number 666 Rubedo. I am U.R.T.V. number
668. You may call me Citrine.
The female U.R.T.V. will be called Citrine from this point on.

Albedo: I’d heard there was a girls’ ward somewhere.
Nigredo: I thought the missing number was dead.
Citrine: It’s certainly true that a lot of units were disposed of. Unlike you
male types, we have only nine female types remaining. It’s a shame because
theoretically, we are superior.
Rubedo: Disposed of? Who do you think you are?
Citrine: And just who do you think you are, Rubedo? We aren’t normal children,
you know. Even if we lost control of our waveform and died, we wouldn’t have
the luxury of complaining about it.
The flashback ended. Shion’s group continues to follow the phantom trios. In
the next area, the sixth flashback appeared on the camera. In the dive-capsule
room of Yuriev Institute, Rubedo, Albedo and Nigredo are inside the
dive-capsules, facing a series of the other U.R.T.V.s
Albedo: I can’t stand them.
Nigredo: Shhh.
Albedo: Just look at them. They don’t even have wills of their own. All of them
together just form one collective consciousness. Why is everyone up to 665 like
that?
Rubedo: The standard types have weak anti-waveforms. It’s not their fault they
were born that way.
The camera views a series of U.R.T.V.s
Albedo: Eww, yuck.
A signal ring can be heard.
Yuriev: This is not a drill. You will initiate a U.M.N. dive into the
subconscious domain of the sleeping patient and repair her sensory impairment.
This mission will also serve as valuable anti-U-DO training for you.
Juli: Your descent target is a white beach. This beach is a subjective image
created by the patient that exists below her consciousness. Within it lies
whatever is obstructing her neural connection. We want you to identify and
eliminate it.
There was a brief pause.
Rubedo: The beach?!
Albedo: I’ve never been to the beach!
Nigredo: We’ll definitely have to go sometime!
Rubedo and Albedo extends their left arm with their left fist up and lowers the
arm down a little as expression of “all right!” Later, Rubedo has a spooked
look after the U.R.T.V.s look at them oddly.
U.R.T.V. 1: Why? Why are you the leader, number 666?
U.R.T.V. 2: You’re a variant… You’re a monster!
Rubedo looks at the palm of his right hand and sees the number “666” on it.
Albedo: Shut up, you losers! Don’t make fun of Rubedo! Your power doesn’t even
come close to his!
There was a brief pause.
Nigredo: That’s enough, Albedo. They’re not our enemies. It’s all right,
Rubedo. We both believe in you.
The dive-capsules begin activation. Rubedo, Albedo and Nigredo dives into
Subconscious Domain. In the summer time of Subconscious Domain, Rubedo, Albedo
and Nigredo appeared at the scene.
Rubedo: The target is the beach. We should reach it if we proceed north through
the forest. Let’s go!
Jr.’s group appeared in Subconscious Domain. Jr.’s group moves on. After
getting through lots of areas in Subconscious Domain, a flash appeared near the
camera. The camera shows a reddish purple orb called U-DO in the sky and the
U.R.T.V.s facing it.
Rubedo: So this is…the fear that Sakura holds.
An U-DO’s wave sudden came out from somewhere.
Nigredo: Look out! Behind you!
Nigredo took the hit from the blast wave while protecting Rubedo. Then more
U-DO’s waves appeared and this time, they’re approaching Albedo.
Albedo: What is this thing? Cut it out!
Rubedo: Are they ready? Let’s spread out a psych-link and take care of this.
Nigredo: Rubedo, look!
The blast waves are circling around the orb.
U.R.T.V.: The waves--
Rubedo, Albedo and Nigredo have a spooked look on their faces.
U.R.T.V.: The waves are coming!
Rubedo: Hey! What are you talking about?
The blast waves suddenly struck the other three U.R.T.V.s
U.R.T.V.: No!
An U-DO’s wave struck the fourth U.R.T.V. and they are infected and transformed
into a monster.
Albedo: They’ve been infected. But we’re not even inside the U-DO simulator!
The Infected U.R.T.V.s are about to attack. Rubedo screams out loud in fear and
then, Rubedo’s face is changed to Jr.’s. Shion’s group fights the Infected
U.R.T.V.s. After Shion’s group defeats the Infected U.R.T.V.s, they move on. In
the next area, Shion’s group encounters an Infected U.R.T.V., but somehow it
had another body coming out of the torso. The new body came out of the Infected
U.R.T.V. and it transforms into Level 4. Shion’s group fights Level 4. After
Shion’s group defeats Level 4, the camera shows Albedo continuously kicking the
helpless U.R.T.V. Rubedo and Nigredo turns around and saw Albedo grabbing the
sleeve of the U.R.T.V. and slamming his back to the ground multiple times.
Albedo: (acting insane) I told you to leave Rubedo alone! Variants aren’t
monsters! You guys are just weak!
Albedo then punches the U.R.T.V. multiple times with insanity. While Albedo has
gone insane by attacking the U.R.T.V., Rubedo and Nigredo rushes back to him
and Rubedo tries to stop Albedo.
Rubedo: Stop it!
Albedo stops attacking and turns around.
Rubedo: You’ll kill him!
Rubedo is mad at Albedo.
Albedo: Rubedo…
Rubedo and Nigredo walked away.
Albedo: Don’t look at me like that! (echoing shout) Rubedo!
Later, Shion’s group reappeared at Yuriev Institute. Shion’s group follows the
phantom trios. After catching up with them, another flashback can be seen. In
the park area of Yuriev Institute…
Albedo: What?
Rubedo: (angry) What were you thinking? Number 623’s badly injured!
Albedo: Is that what this is about? All he’s got to do is just regenerate.
What’s the problem?
There was a brief pause.
Rubedo: Regenerate?
Albedo slightly raises his right arm and a glowing blue orb field appeared on
his right hand.
Albedo: Regenerate… Like this…
Albedo puts the glowing blue orb field towards his head and then, blood
splattered over the stone writings and the floor and Albedo’s head is gone.
However, his body is still standing and alive. Rubedo and Nigredo were so
horrified by Albedo’s action. Then, Albedo’s head regenerated and reappeared.
Albedo: See?
Albedo puts his left hand to the back of his head. Rubedo looked so tensed up
that he clenched his right fist and is about to attack Albedo.
Rubedo: (furious) You idiot!
Rubedo punches Albedo in face, knocking him down to the floor. Nigredo tries to
restrain Rubedo.
Rubedo: (furious) Don’t you ever pull anything like that again! If you die, you
can’t come back to life!
As Rubedo looks furious, Albedo feels hurt.
Albedo: You mean… Are you saying you can’t regenerate?
Rubedo: (furious) Of course not! That’s a special ability only you possess.
Albedo: Only me?
Albedo starts crying.
Albedo: (crying) You’re both gonna die and leave me behind?
Albedo gets up.
Albedo: (outburst) No!
In an upset outburst, Albedo holds Rubedo’s body, leaning his head in Rubedo’s
front body.
Albedo: (crying) I don’t wanna be alone! If you die, I wanna die, too.
Albedo continues to cry.
Rubedo: Stop it. Don’t say things like that. Now you’re making me sad, too.
With Albedo crying, Nigredo looks with sorrow.
Albedo: (crying) Rubedo, don’t leave me behind.
The flashback ended. Then, Shion’s group continues to follow the phantom trios.
In the next area, another flashback appeared. In the flashback, Albedo is
digging the area near the trees and making graves for Rubedo and Nigredo.
Shion’s group approaches slowly from distance and saw what Albedo’s doing.
Shion: What is he doing?
Jr.: I don’t know, but… …ever since that day…ever since Albedo learned he
couldn’t die, he somehow started to change.
Shion: Really?
Jr.: We didn’t understand. There was no way we could have understood… We
couldn’t know what it felt like to have a body that wouldn’t die.
While there was a brief pause, the camera continues to view Albedo digging.
Ziggy: Death is rest for the soul. Who was it who said that? If the body did
not die, and the fears borne in the mind just continued to pile up, the world
would be nothing more than an eternal prison.
KOS-MOS looks at Ziggy and nods slightly.
Jr.: Old man…
Jr. turns around, facing away from Ziggy.
Jr.: In the beginning, Albedo and I were one.
Shion: Because you’re both from the same fertilized egg?
Jr.: No. He was literally attached to my back from conception until the 28th
week.
Jr. points to his upper back with his left hand.
Jr.: His heart was attached right around here.
Shion: What?
KOS-MOS: Occasionally, due to incomplete cell division, twins are born sharing
some portion of their internal organs.
Jr.: That’s right. Our special abilities, the power to halt or stimulate cell
growth, are both based on the same basic principle. But after we were split
apart, our powers headed off in different directions. And that’s why I
shouldn’t have just abandoned him.
Shion: Jr. Couldn’t you try just one more time to approach him?
Jr.: Well, you know…we’re both pretty stubborn.
The flashback ended. Shion’s group continues to follow the phantom trios to the
next area. In there, another flashback appeared. In the Yuriev Institute
dive-capsule area, Rubedo, Albedo and Nigredo are inside the dive-capsule ready
to dive into the Subconscious Domain.
Female U.R.T.V. Employee: Commencing with neural monitoring of unit number 666.
Membrane electrical potential, stable. Spontaneous brain wave frequency of
number 667 shifting from 20 to 28Hz.
Yuriev: Calm down, children. Don’t get flustered.
Rubedo, Albedo and Nigredo close their eyes.
Female Employee: Stabilized, 8Hz.
Yuriev: That’s better. Just like that.
Helmer: So these are the U.R.T.V.s…
Juli: Dmitri, will they be all right? I don’t want to hurt these children, even
for Sakura’s sake.
Helmer: I’d heard they were young, but I didn’t expect them to be this young…
Yuriev: You’re pretty sentimental for a soldier, Helmer.
Helmer: Hm. I believe a soldier’s duty is to protect human life.
Juli: This time, Sakura will be with you, too.
Rubedo, Albedo and Nigredo dives into Subconscious Domain. In the winter time
of Subconscious Domain, Rubedo, Albedo and Nigredo appeared at the scene.
Rubedo: Just like last time, the target point for this mission is the beach.
Albedo, Nigredo, let’s go!
Shion’s group appeared in Subconscious Domain and moves on. After going through
a series of areas, Rubedo, Albedo and Nigredo are near the path to the beach.
Rubedo: Sakura! There’s nothing here today. If we run, we’ll be at the beach in
no time.
Sakura shakes her head, “no”.
Rubedo: Why not? Let’s go! First, we’ll cure your illness, then we’ll go to a
real beach.
There was a brief pause and suddenly, there was an evil shadow near Rubedo.
Sakura panicked.
Sakura: Rubedo, look!
Sakura points to the evil shadow. Rubedo turns around and was horrified from
seeing the evil shadow. Then, Albedo laughs sinfully.
Albedo: What do you know, Rubedo? You’re just like me, aren’t you?
Albedo is glowing and continues to laugh.
Albedo: Rubedo’s a monster, too! (laughs) It all makes perfect sense. Once, the
two of us were one. So, if I’m a monster, that means you’re a monster, too! Oh,
this is wonderful! I’m so happy!
Shion’s group watches as Albedo continues to glow and laugh.
Rubedo: No! Wait! This isn’t my shadow!
Sakura: Rubedo, calm down. Please don’t get angry.
Rubedo: I…I’m not a monster!
As Shion’s group watches in fear, Albedo’s laughing voice changes to the Albedo
in the present.
Albedo: (sounds like the Albedo now) Can you still feel the beating in your
chest, Rubedo? Can you still feel my heart, buried in the right side?
Rubedo looks really tensed up as the camera gets closer to his face. Then,
Sakura’s body shows MOMO’s image.
MOMO: Rubedo, it’s a trap!
Rubedo enabled burst flames out of his body.
Sakura: Rubedo! No!
The brightness coming from the burst flames brightens the area where Sakura,
Nigredo and Albedo were standing. Rubedo screams really loud and out of
control. The camera switches to Jr. in the analysis room screaming really loud
uncontrollably. Then in Subconscious Domain…
Jr.: Albedo!
In the analysis room…
Allen: Chief! The Encephalon field structure has started to rapidly collapse!
It’s not a problem with the system. It was probably another trap inside MOMO.
In the Subconscious Domain, Jr. is still out of control.
Shion: We should have known. Albedo anticipated the likelihood of an Encephalon
dive.
Jr. approaches towards Rubedo, Albedo, Nigredo and Sakura’s location.
Ziggy: Did you say Albedo? If he was an acquaintance of Sakura Mizrahi as well,
then it may have been part of his plan to bring Jr. here.
Jr. approaches Rubedo, Albedo, Nigredo and Sakura and they all disappeared. In
the analysis room…
Allen: A bypass-intrusion into the Encephalon?
As Jr. approaches forward, uncontrollably, the present Albedo appeared at the
scene and grabbed Jr. by the neck and places him in a headlock. Albedo takes a
sniff at Jr.’s head.
Albedo: Such a sweet smell, Rubedo—
Jr. is still being held in a headlock by Albedo.
Albedo: The smell of rage evaporating off your body. Sure you don’t suffer from
excessive norepinephrine?
Albedo moves Jr. by turning towards Jr.’s group.
Ziggy: Jr.!
Shion: Jr., calm down. Don’t you want to make peace with your brother?
Albedo: Peace? I’ll have you know, Rubedo and I are the best of pals.
Albedo places his left hand through Jr.’s stomach. Jr. aches in pain.
Jr.: Albedo!
As Albedo has his hand through Jr.’s stomach, Jr. starts to emit red waves from
his body.
Albedo: Yes, yes, yes, yes! That’s it! Come on! Unleash what you’ve been
holding in all these years!
Jr.: (in tremendous pain) I’m gonna take you down! You’re gonna regret this!
Albedo: Sounds like fun. Give it a try.
Jr. releases a burst red light from his body, striking Albedo and throwing him
to the ground. Jr. coughs as he is recovering from Albedo’s headlock. Albedo
gets up. Jr.’s group fights Albedo. After Jr.’s group defeats Albedo, Albedo
and Jr. emits dome of burst energy at each other, screaming so loud in
controlling their powers.
Shion: No, Jr.! If you fight Albedo, you’ll just be hurting yourself.
Ziggy: Wait, Shion. Jr. is losing control.
MOMO watches what was going on with Jr. and Albedo. Albedo laughs.
Albedo: (acting evil) You’ve got to hand it to him. He’s trying to control his
emotions. But his body hungers for combat. We are weapons, after all!
Jr. continues to scream out of control as he continues to emit the dome of
burst energy. Then, the camera switches to MOMO who woke up and then closes her
eyes.
MOMO: Stop…
In Subconscious Domain, MOMO is about to respond.
MOMO: (with an echo) Stop!
Jr. and Albedo stops emitting the dome of burst energy. Then suddenly, an
orange blazing light surrounded MOMO.
Albedo: You fell for it, ma péche!
Suddenly from the sky, a judgment like beam fired downwards and struck MOMO.
Albedo: You’re so easy to manipulate, my mechanical angel. Mizrahi and his
crazy whims… Anyone can see what it would’ve been smarter not to give you human
emotions.
The camera switches back to the analysis room. MOMO woke up and the Encephalon
dive was shut off. Jr. takes off his red diving glasses. Then, Juli Mizrahi
appeared and rushed to the scene.
Shion: MOMO, you’re awake! (to Juli Mizrahi) What about the Y-Data?
Juli: It’s gone. The thing we feared the most these last fourteen years… The
key…
Shion looked puzzled.
Juli: The wheels have been set in motion. They can’t be stopped.
Jr. approaches MOMO. The camera switches to the A.M.W.S. piloted by Albedo.
Then, Albedo’s A.M.W.S. starts an eerie glow.
Albedo: This is it. The Key to the Abyss.
Albedo felt excited.
Albedo: The gospel that will awaken Miltia. Rubedo. Are you looking at it?
Come…let us share our new world!
Ancient symbols raises up everywhere during the eerie glow of the A.M.W.S. The
A.M.W.S. suddenly disappeared. The camera switches back to the U.M.N. Control
Center. While Jr. was walking, he felt the pain from his right chest and grasps
the right chest with his right hand.
Shion: Jr. what’s wrong?
Jr.: (in tremendous pain) My chest… My right side… This pain… It’s Albedo’s.
His heartbeat is fading. It can’t be… Albedo…

05: DISC 2 Game Script
Later, Shion is narrating as multiple scenes occurs.
Shion: (narrating) When Albedo released the seal, the lost path to Old Miltia
was reopened once again. In response to this incident, the Federation
government and the Immigrant Fleet both began their invasion into Miltian
space. Their objective was to gain control over the original Zohar, which was
still sleeping on Miltia. However, the Immigrant Fleet has anticipated this
incident and successfully broke through the Federation’s blockade. The
Immigrant Fleet begin their descent into Old Miltia. In its confusion, the
Federation government’s response was slow and disorganized. Though they
deployed ships to try and secure the region, the Federation’s unable to stop
the Immigrant Fleet’s advance.
The camera views the cathedral like area where the communication hologram of
Margulis appearing near the Patriarch.
Patriarch: I see that Miltia and the Subcommittee have begun to take action.
And there’s news that Vector is taking part, as well. Can you handle them?
Margulis: Leave it to me. I have already dispatched the Inquisitors. The
disheveled Federation will be no match for us.
There was a brief pause.
Patriarch: Margulis.
Margulis: Yes, Holiness.
Patriarch: I have faith in you. Not as an Inquisitor, but as a comrade who
shares the same goals. I want you to show me the strength of your devotion. Do
you understand?
Margulis: Yes.
The camera views more scenes as Shion narrates.
Shion: (narrating) Meanwhile, after receiving orders to appear before Vector,
Shion and Allen returned to the Dämmerung stationed in Miltian space. In
response to the Immigrant Fleet offensive, Representative Helmer dispatched
Miltia’s standing forces to support the Federation. Helmer also planned out a
covert operation to acquire the original Zohar on Miltia. This mission was
secretly supported by Vector and the Contact Subcommittee and would be carried
out by the Kukai Foundation. Upon receiving Helmer’s request, Jr. and the
others made preparations to descend into Old Miltia in the newly restored Elsa.
In addition, to ensure the absolute success of this mission, several new
members also joined their ranks.
Meanwhile in the U.M.N. Control Center…
Juli: Judging by the situation, it seems the journey to Old Miltia needs to
happen as soon as possible.
MOMO: Yes.
Juli: According to Representative Helmer, if they use your 100-Series prototype
special navigational skills, they could potentially travel to Old Miltia
undetected.
MOMO: Yes.
Juli: It’ll be very dangerous. But I can’t put the entire star cluster at risk
because of my personal feelings.

MOMO approaches Juli Mizrahi a little.

is flying by. Then, in Shion’s room, Shion glances at the window with roadways.
Shion then gets a monitor communication from Miyuki.
Miyuki: …and everyone is super excited about it! Hey Shion, are you even
listening to me?
Shion: I’m listening! Miyuki, do you even know what’s going on? We’re on
high-security alert because of that phase distortion.
Miyuki: I know! It’s because the path to Old Miltia was suddenly opened, right?
The observation teams are going nuts!
Shion: Well then, now’s not the best time to be chatting like this, is it?
Miyuki: That’s not very nice! What about you? The director still hasn’t
received the KOS-MOS real-world operation data report.
Suddenly, Shion’s room turns dark and a familiar girl from before appeared
behind Shion, it’s Nephilim. Shion quickly glances at her and she quickly
disappeared.
Shion: N…Nephilim?
Miyuki: Shion? Shion!
Shion’s room turns bright again.
Shion: What? Oh… Sorry. You were saying?
Miyuki: I said you should hurry up and send the data to the director. Is
something wrong with you? Are you feelin’ okay?
Shion: No, I mean, it’s nothing… I’m just tired. I’m going to get some rest.
Talk to you later, okay?
Miyuki: Wait, Shion!
Shion shuts off the communication monitor. Then after a brief pause…
Shion: Was that an illusion? Why…why was she… Why did she have such a sad face?
I don’t understand. What’s going on?
Later…
Shion: I’m feeling restless. Allen had some sedatives on him…I should find him
so I can get a little sleep.
Shion proceeds to the communications room with people like Allen and Miyuki.
Shion talks to Allen.
Allen: Chief? What’s wrong? What? A sedative? Yes, I have some, but…are you
okay? You don’t look well. Maybe you should go to your room and get some rest.
Shion: Yes, you’re right. I’m sorry. I think I’ll go do that.
Shion goes back to her room. Inside…
Shion: Allen’s sedative is starting to work. I think I’ll lie down for a little
while.
Shion decided to get some rest. During the rest, Shion is having a dream in a
mysterious Zohar area.

The camera views the frigid prison cage with two disfigured females.
Shion: It’s…the Zohar?
Then, a white haired woman name Febronia appeared at the scene.
Shion: Febronia? Feb…is that you?
Febronia: Shion…
Shion: Feb, what in the world’s going on? What is this place? Why are you here?
There was a brief pause.
Febronia: This is the cage in which my sisters are held captive. A frigid
prison constructed for the Zohar.
Shion: A prison? But, where are they? I don’t see them.
Febronia: Shion. Set them free from this cage. Please, I want you to lift the
curse that mankind has placed upon them.
Shion: But, I don’t know where I am. Where is this place? How do I save them? I
don’t understand any of this!
Febronia: Soon… You will visit this place. Please, Shion…save Cecily and Cathe.
Shion: Wait, Feb!
Febronia disappeared from the scene. Shion then woke up.
Shion: A dream?
Shion gets up and sits near the end of the right side of the bed.
Shion: Oh…right… I have to send the data.
A little later…
Shion: Oh no, look at the time! The director must be furious. I have to hurry
to the communications room!
Shion proceeds to the communications room. In there, Shion, alone in the room
uses the computer console to send the data to the director. Then suddenly,
Nephilim appeared from a distant behind Shion.
Shion: Nephilim… So it was you. Was this all your doing?
Nephilim closes her eyes.
Shion: What’s this about? What in the world are you and Feb trying to tell me?
Nephilim: Feb is waiting for you. There is no time left.
Shion: Waiting? At that place in my dream?
Nephilim: Shion. You must go. And there, you must make an important choice. It
is for your sake, as well as theirs. It is something very important to both
your past and to your future.
There was a brief pause.
Shion: My choice? Past? Future? What are you saying?
Nephilim: The path has already been opened. Please grant her this one request.
Shion: The path? You mean…Miltia. Feb’s sisters are on Miltia!
Nephilim: Shion… Hurry. Before he awakens again. Feb… Save her sisters…
As the conversation with Shion and Nephilim goes on…
Allen: Chief! Are you in there?
Nephilim disappeared and the lights turned on in the communications room. Then,
Allen came in.

Shion: I’m sorry, I have to go somewhere now. Talk to me later, okay?
Allen: What? Hey, where are you going in such a hurry?
Shion: Old Miltia.
Allen: Ah, I see. It’s very romantic this time of… Wait, Miltia?! Wh…wh…whoa!
Chief, are you out of your mind? Do you understand what’s going on out there?
We’re on high security alert! There’s a war about to start! Besides, what are
you gonna do for transportation? There’s no way the administrations bureau’s
gonna authorize a transfer in a state of emergency!
Shion: It’s all right, I’ve got an idea. There’s a transport here on the
Dämmerung that Kevin was developing concurrently with KOS-MOS. If I use it, I
can travel through hyperspace without going near the U.M.N.
Allen: Oh, well that makes sen—Wait, what are you saying?! That’s a AA Rank
secret even within Vector! You can’t just go and…
Shion: I’m going. I’ve already made up my mind. Please, don’t try and stop me.
Shion shoves Allen as she walks away from the scene.
Allen: (embarrassed) Oh man. Why did I have to fall for somebody like her? Hey,
Chief! Wait up!
Allen catches up with Shion. Outside of the communications room…
Shion: Let’s see, the transport is located…
Shion and Allen proceed to the elevator. They ride the elevator to the
Restricted Area. In the Restricted Area…
Shion: I think the craft we’re after is below us in the Research Block of the
Restricted Area, on the AA Rank Private Dock. The security here is reinforced
at night, so there will be robot sentries all around. Well, let’s go have some
fun, Allen!
Allen: Ch…chief. Is it me, or are you a bit too excited about this? ……… (Did I
hand her a stimulant instead of a sedative?)
Shion and Allen move on. In the next area on the second floor, Shion activates

Allen: All right…but how are we gonna get onboard? The security here isn’t
exactly easy to override.
Shion: Brute force.
Allen: Chief…ah…are you sure you want to do this? If we go any further, getting
fired will be the least of our problems.
Shion: Oh, be a man already! We can’t turn back, Allen. We’ve come this far!
Now let’s get moving.
Shion walks away.
Allen: Oh man, this is nuts!
Shion and Allen move on to the next area. In there, Shion and Allen had to get
to the console to stop the big fan from spinning. After they succeeded in
stopping the big fan, they proceed to the hangar. In there, Shion tries to
approach the console to open the hangar bay, but then, an alarm was triggered.
Announcer: Warning. This area is currently off-limits to unauthorized
personnel. Please leave immediately.
2 VSS Fresnel surround Shion. Shion fights 2 VSS Fresnel. After Shion defeated
the 2 VSS Fresnel, Shion and Allen proceed to the hangar bay. In there, Allen
has already entered the cockpit and Shion is holding on a wire that leads to
the cockpit.
Shion: How’s it looking?
Allen: Well, the power’s active. Looks like we can do this. I’ll initiate the
system. Please, hurry and get inside.
Shion: Okay.
Before the wire could take Shion up to the cockpit, an alarm was triggered and
the Realians with assault rifles appeared at the scene.
Shion: Ah, but it looks like we’re a little late. We’re kind of surrounded.
The camera views Allen in the cockpit.
Allen: Yeah, I see them. Hang on tight, Chief.
Shion: Wait, Allen!
In an outburst, Allen fires the machine gun at the Realians, forcing them to
retreat in the process. The machine gun was also fired at the boxes near the
door and the boxes blew up and blockaded the door.
Allen: All right! That ought to hold them for a while.
Shion climbs into the co-pilot seat.
Shion: Not bad. Allen, I’m impressed!
Allen: Well, it’s all part of being a man! And the power of love!
The hatch opens and the take off lights appeared.
Shion: Hmph? Did you say something?
Allen: Ah, nothing…
Shion: I’m gonna floor it. Hang on tight.
Shion and Allen in the spacecraft takes off into space and escapes from the
Dämmerung. Wilhelm in his office saw that spacecraft passing by and it
disappears into warp jump. Meanwhile in Wilhelm’s office…
Red Cloaked Man: We’ve detected Albedo’s ascension.
Wilhelm: I see. He did well. The lock has been opened and the obstacle removed.
The rest is up to her.
Red Cloaked Man: Will matters proceed smoothly?
Wilhelm: She is suited for the task. There will be no problems. People always
try to live a life of choices between ‘good’ and ‘evil.’ They make pessimism
their foundation, and praise misfortune and sorrow. And then they try to seek a
pure heart. Yet this is nothing more than their individual view, born out of
comparison with others. Is she who thinks of others ‘right’? Is he who opened

The camera views the red cloaked man.

Red Cloaked Man: …
Wilhelm: In any case, the intermission is over and the players stand upon the
stage. All that remains is to wait for the knight to appear. And for that, it
is necessary that someone play the role of the villain.
Red Cloaked Man: Will he suffice for that role?
Wilhelm: Do you object? The greater the suffering, the more exciting the drama.
Later, the spacecraft that Allen and Shion is piloting comes out of warp jump
and back into outer space. The camera views the control monitor of the cockpit.
Allen: 1.41 parsecs to Miltia. Non ship signatures around.
Shion: We’re halfway there.
Suddenly, black ships appeared everywhere and then a mysterious A.M.W.S.
appeared at the scene as well. The black ships fires their laser beams at the
space craft of Allen and Shion’s and they attempt to evade a bunch of laser
beam attacks. Then the mysterious A.M.W.S. flies towards Shion and Allen’s
space craft. The space craft fires their laser beams at the mysterious
A.M.W.S., but it evaded.
Allen: What kind of maneuvers are those? That’s well beyond the limits of the
human body!
The mysterious A.M.W.S. fires its multiple laser beams at the space craft and
as it evades, it took a hit.
Allen: We’re hit! Shields are lost!
Shion: I know!
Suddenly, the mysterious A.M.W.S. reveals itself from its protective armor
cover and is about to make a move. Shion in the cockpit shouts out in an
outburst and the camera zooms into the Vector Second R&D Division in KOS-MOS
cryogenic bed. One of the employees appeared at the scene.
Vector Supervisor: What’s going on?
Vector Employee: It’s… KOS-MOS! She suddenly started up!
The cryogenic bed opens the cover with steamy mist coming out.
Vector Supervisor: But that’s not possible. Her reactor isn’t even installed.
Vector Employee: I…I know!
The walls opened up and KOS-MOS awakens with a new armor model on her body. Her
ears can be seen with a pair of earrings. The Vector employees were frightened,
as KOS-MOS is active. KOS-MOS transforms the cryogenic bed into a space
launching motorcycle. KOS-MOS rides in the space launching motorcycle and
speeds around the area to the take off site.
Vector Supervisor: Wait, KOS-MOS! What are you doing?
KOS-MOS: Shion.
Vector Supervisor: What?
KOS-MOS: Shion is calling me.
Vector Supervisor: Shion? Chief Uzuki is…
KOS-MOS takes off to outer space with the space launching motorcycle. Meanwhile
in the war zone of the mysterious A.M.W.S., the space craft that Allen and
Shion are piloting are trying to evade attacks as much as possible.
Allen: (feeling helpless) Oh it’s all over! Chief!!
Shion: (frustrated with Allen) I thought you were a man! Quit whining and shoot
something!
The space craft then evaded the mysterious A.M.W.S.’s attacks. Then one of the
black ships charges its laser beam.
Shion: Is this the end?
Before the black ship could release its laser beam at the space craft, an
incoming beam blew up the black ship. Then, KOS-MOS in her craft appeared at
the scene blowing the black ships up in the process.
KOS-MOS: Shion. I am switching your craft to control mode B. Prepare for
docking.
Shion: What? Docking?
The spacecraft activates control mode B. The spacecraft transform into an E.S.
Dinah with KOS-MOS’ craft coming into the head of the E.S. Dinah. Then, the
E.S. Dinah activates its weapon and KOS-MOS’ eye color changes from red to
blue. The weapon craft attaches to the E.S. Dinah and fires a piercing laser
beam at the black ship and the mysterious A.M.W.S. However, the mysterious
A.M.W.S. disappears before it can get wiped out. The beam wiped out all of the
black ships. Later in the cockpit of the E.S. Dinah, Shion shows a sigh of
relief.
Shion: I think…we’re saved.
Allen also shows a sigh of relief.
Allen: Oh, thank goodness!
KOS-MOS: Enemy craft have withdrawn from sensor range.
KOS-MOS’ eye color reverts back to its normal red color.
Shion: KOS-MOS…
There was a brief pause.
Shion: Thank you.
Suddenly, a transmission signal can be heard.
Allen: Chief, a transmission!
Shion: A transmission?
Matthews: Yo, Miss Vector! That was quite a show you put on out there.
Shion: That voice!
Matthews: Hey?! If you’re alive, say something already!
Later…
Shion: Captain!
The newly restored Elsa appeared at the scene. The E.S. Dinah docks in the
Elsa. Allen enters the bridge first and Shion came out of the hanger dock and
proceeds to the bridge. In there…
Shion: Captain! We owe you one!
Matthews: Yo! Looks like you’re causing trouble like always!
Shion: Yeah, something kind of happened at First Division.
chaos: Something?
Shion: Yeah. I can’t put it into words very well, but I felt I had to go to Old
Miltia.
Matthews: What?!
Shion: What? What’s wrong, Captain?
Matthews: Representative Helmer asked us to go to Old Miltia, too. I didn’t
think there was anyone else crazy enough to head there.
Jr.: Yeah, Helmer asked me to go there, too! Besides, that’s where the original
Zohar is.
Jin: Canaan and I have business on Old Miltia as well. Representative Helmer
asked me to analyze Canaan’s data.
Shion: So, everyone is headed for Old Miltia.
Allen: KOS-MOS was amazing back there!
Jr.: Yeah, even I was surprised. But who was that enemy? It even dodged
KOS-MOS’ attack! I have a bad feeling about this.
Shion: Yeah, I wonder about that myself.
Matthews: All right, lemme say something. Our next destination is Old Miltia,
right? I can’t say I’m looking forward to it, but it looks like we have to go,
so let me know when you’re ready to set out. Until then, go take a look around
the newly remodeled Elsa!
After Shion takes a look around the newly remodeled Elsa, she talks to Matthews.
Matthews: Well? Whaddaya think of the Elsa’s new look? Beautiful, isn’t she?
There’s no point in hanging out on the bridge the whole time. Why don’t you
have a look around? Or do you want to head off for Old Miltia at top speed
right now?
Shion: I want to head for Old Miltia now!
Matthews: Okay, you got it! Hey, Tony! You heard that, right? Hit it!
As the Elsa is preparing for taking off…
Hammer: MOMO, how’s the enemy fleet trace?
MOMO: They’re headed for point E-52 at combat speed.
Tony: Damn, they’ve got some guts to be charging in there that fast.
Matthews: That just shows how desperate they are. Course, at this rate, we’re
never gonna catch them.
KOS-MOS: Captain, I must warn you.
Matthews: What is it? Make it quick.
KOS-MOS: If we continue to proceed along the present course, it is highly
probable that the enemy will leave a force to intercept us. It is prudent to
assume that this ship will eventually suffer an extensive and unacceptable
level of damage.
Shion: I’m afraid KOS-MOS is right. We’re in trouble unless we find a route
where the enemy can’t detect us.
Matthews: Look, I get what you’re saying, but how the hell are we supposed to
do that?! This isn’t a highway, you know. It’s not like we can just take a
detour or somethin’!
There was a brief pause.
MOMO: Actually, there is a detour.
Matthews: What?
Shion: Really, MOMO?
MOMO uses the control console.
MOMO: I’ve detected a small-gap in the gravitational fields between the two
black holes. If we fly through it, I think the chances of enemy detection would
drop significantly.
There was a brief pause.
Matthews: …Hey, are you outta your mind?
Shion: Right. Even if we made the slightest mistakes, we’d be caught by the
gravitational field and dragged into the Abyss.
MOMO: I guess it’s impossible…
Tony: What? Impossible? Hey, hey, who do you think you’re talking to here?
There’s no way Tony “Numero Uno’s” gonna turn down a challenge like that!
Hammer: (sigh) There he goes again… Once that moron gets started, there’s no
stopping him.
Matthews: Daaaah! Whatever! Do whatcha want… But you’d better not even think
about gettin’ a scratch on my Elsa!
Tony: Don’t worry! Leave it to me! MOMO, I’ll be counting on you for a route!
MOMO: Okay!
Later, the Elsa boosts off at warp speed. A little later, the Elsa are near the
two black holes. In the bridge of the Elsa…
Hammer: Whoa, radar and sonar are both dead! We’re not getting any readings…
Tony: It’s almost like we’d be better off flying blindfolded.
MOMO: Tony, I’ve detected a massive distortion in the space ahead of the Elsa.
A large mass is about to gate out.
Tony: What? They’re gating out here?
Suddenly, Ormus Stronghold gradually appeared between two black holes.
Everybody in the Elsa gasped and is frightened.
Matthews: What the hell is that?
Jr.: Damn, where were they hiding that thing?
Suddenly, lots of incoming enemy ships appeared at the scene.
MOMO: It’s moving into Elsa’s flight path. 180 seconds to impact!
Matthews: Tony, can we avoid it?
Tony: Negative! It’s taking up the entire gravity well. If we screw up, we’ll
get pulled into the black hole.
Jr.: (pounds the railing) Bastards! They’re not gonna let us through no matter
what!
There was a brief pause.
Matthews: The only thing left for us to do is to make them move. (to Jr.)
Little Master, can we take them out from the inside?
Jr.: (pulls out his gun) Yeah…yeah, if we can get inside, that is.
Matthews: (sigh) (to Tony) Tony, maintain present course and increase to
maximum speed. (to Hammer) Hammer, disengage all weapon safety locks. Don’t
worry about aiming. Just let loose with everything we’ve got! We’re gonna dive
smack dab into that thing’s belly. It’s time you guys showed me what you’re
made of.
Hammer: You got it!
Tony: Aye aye, sir!
The Elsa activates full boosts and blasts off towards the Ormus Stronghold. The
Elsa evaded the enemies’ laser beams in the process. In an outburst, Tony
pilots the Elsa through the enemies and the Elsa fires its lasers at the
enemies, destroying some of them in the process. Then, as the Elsa flies
towards Ormus Stronghold, an enemy laser beam hits the Elsa’s left side and
everybody in the Elsa are pushed back. Shion was about to fall and land on the
bridge’s front view monitor, but KOS-MOS held on to Shion’s hand and continues
to hold her. The Elsa made a landing near the entrance of Ormus Stronghold.
After that, the camera switches to the bridge of the Elsa.
Jr.: Okay, then! That was a little rough, but we made it. There’s no time to
waste! Let’s hurry up, get inside there, and take it out! That’s a pretty big
fortress, so we’ll take the E.S.s!
Shion’s group proceeds to the hangar and boards the E.S.s. Shion’s group in
their E.S.s proceeds to the entrance of the Ormus Stronghold. In the next area,
the E.S.s takes the elevator down to the deep lower area and Shion’s group
disembarks from the E.S. Shion’s group activated the E.S. elevator and then
backtracks to the E.S. docking bay and embarks on the E.S.s. The E.S.s takes
the elevator up and enters another route. In the next area, the E.S.s takes the
elevator to the control room. In there, the E.S.s are about to approach a
button on a wall. Then suddenly…
Richard: My name is Richard!
Pilum and Scutum appeared at the scene.
Richard: I assume you remember. I’m sorry, but I have no time for games.
Honestly, I grow weary of these encounters. I’ve had enough of you!
The E.S.s fights Pilum and Scutum. After the E.S.s defeated Pilum and Scutum,
they approach the button and pressed it. Some of the floor tiles raises up and
creates a bridge. Then, the E.S.s proceeds to the deep lower area and Shion’s
group disembarked their E.S.s. Shion’s group cross the bridge and proceeds to
the next area. In there, they take the teleporter down to the core. Then, they
take the teleporter up to the top core area. Inside, a mysterious woman named
Orgulla kneels in the center of the room.
Orgulla: Welcome to this holy confessional. Come in, you filth.
Jr.: What?
Shion’s group approaches closer.
Orgulla: There is nothing to fear. No matter what you do, there is no escape
from this place. Now, confess your sins. I will listen to anything, even from
the mouths of foul beasts like you.
Jr.: You damn bitch!
Orgulla: I see. You do not wish to admit your sins. You will leave me no choice
but to rip you apart.
Orgulla gets up, turns around, faces Shion’s group and readies her beam sword
and dagger. Shion’s group fights Orgulla. After Shion’s group defeats Orgulla,
they destroyed the energy conduits causing the core room’s bottom support to
fall into the water. Shion’s group then goes down the teleporter to the lower
core room in water. Inside, Shion’s group arrives at the self-destruct device.
Shion: This looks like the center of the stronghold.
Ziggy: And luckily enough, it comes with a self-destruct device.
Jr.: All right, let’s light it up and blow this thing to hell! We’ll show ’em!
Shion’s group solves the puzzle of the self-destruct device by connecting the
right fuses. Then after that, they successfully activated the self-destruct
device.
Jr.: Okay, this place is going up in 30 minutes. Let’s get out of here and go
back to the Elsa!
The announcement of the self-destruction of the Ormus Stronghold self can be
heard. Shion’s group only has 30 minutes to evacuate the Ormus Stronghold and
getting back to their E.S.s. After a long trek back to the E.S.s, Shion’s group
quickly embarks on the E.S.s and before they could take the elevator, the E.S.
Issachar appeared high above the area of the Ormus Stronghold.
Pellegri: Really! Neither my subordinates nor the Patriarch’s toys are of any
use. The Inquisition will not allow you to escape.
The E.S. Issachar descends towards the E.S.s.
Pellegri: Disengage your weapons and surrender!
The E.S. Asher fires its machine gun at the E.S. Issachar, but they missed as
the E.S. Issachar evaded them.
Pellegri: I repeat. Disengage your weapons and surrender!
The E.S.s fights the E.S. Issachar. After the E.S.s defeats the E.S. Issachar,
Ormus Stronghold begins to blow up gradually.
Pellegri: I’m terribly sorry but I can’t allow you to escape. This fortress has
already begun to disintegrate. It’s only a matter of time before it’s swallowed
by the Abyss. It’ll be a fitting memorial to you. I suggest you spend your
final moments praying for a peaceful slumber.
The E.S. Issachar ascends away from the scene. As Ormus Stronghold continues to
collapse…
KOS-MOS: Shion, I recommend a swift retreat. This structure will not hold much
longer.
Shion: I know. Let’s hurry on back to the Elsa.
The E.S.s hurries back to the Elsa. Later in the Elsa’s bridge…
Shion: Hurry, Captain! We’re going to be pulled into the Abyss with the
fortress!
Matthews: Shut up, I know! (to Tony) Tony, what’s up?
Tony: It’s no good, Captain. The Logical Drive was damaged in the battle. We
don’t have enough thrust. Hammer!
Hammer: I’m working on it! Damn, thrust is down 40%. It’s no good. She’s still
dropping!
Tony: What the? Who the hell slammed the ship into this place, anyway?
Hammer: Well it was the Captain’s idea, but Tony, you’re the one who did the
slamming!
Matthews: (had enough) Shut up! Quit your bitching and do something already!
You wanna die here?!
A little later, the ship wreckage got pulled into the black hole and the Ormus
Stronghold starts blowing up one by one. Everybody in the Elsa felt the impact.
Tony: We’re losing it, Captain. We can’t get away!
Hammer: At this rate, we’re not gonna last another minute!
Suddenly, another explosion was set off around the structure and everybody in
the Elsa felt another impact.
Matthews: (hopeless) Damn. So, this is it, huh…
Then suddenly, a green grappling beam grabbed the damaged Elsa from the back
and lifted it from the Ormus Stronghold as it gradually blows up.
Matthews: Hey, what the hell’s goin’ on?
Shion: Captain, look!
Jr. looks at the Elsa’s windshield and saw the Durandal.
Jr.: It’s the Durandal!
Meanwhile, in the bridge of the Durandal…
100-Series Realian 1: Elsa recovery confirmed.
100-Series Realian 2: The ship appears to have a damaged Logical Drive, and is
incapable of flying under its own power.
The camera views Mary and Shelley.
Mary: Well, at least now we can relax.
Suddenly, there was a monitor transmission from Jr.
Jr.: Hey, Mary.
Mary: Oh, Little Master! Thanks goodness you’re okay.
Jr.: What the heck are you guys doing here, anyway?
Mary: What? We came here to rescue you!
Jr.: Yeah, and I’m grateful for that… But don’t you think your timing was a
little too perfect?
There was a brief pause.
Shelley: Master Gaignun instructed us to come here. He said if we let the
Little Master handle everything, he was bound to do something reckless.
Mary: And it looks like he was right, huh?
Jr.: Naaah! He’s always treating me like a kid. So, where’s the big shot at
now, anyway?
Mary: Master Gaignun said he had important business to take care of. He took
off for the Federation capital.
Jr.: Fifth Jerusalem? What’s he doing there at a time like this? Geez…and he’s
calling me reckless?
Everybody in the Elsa heard a sound.
100-Series Realian: Elsa recovery complete.
Mary: All right! Let’s go back to the Foundation at max speed. If we hang
around here, we’re gonna get sucked into the Abyss, too.
The Durandal initiates the boosters and boosts away at max speed. The Ormus
Stronghold falls into the black holes and they all disappeared. Later in office
of Fifth Jerusalem, Gaignun is acting really strange and holding his head. He
flashes back to the Yuriev Institute 14 years ago. Nigredo approaches Citrine.
Citrine: You’re just like us.
Nigredo: Like you?
Citrine: Code name: Red Dragon. A useful, yet dangerous creature with the
potential to lose control. Our duty is to manage and subdue the Red Dragon’s
violent nature. Don’t you think it’s strange? The way you don’t react to the
U-DO simulator?
Nigredo: Wha…? You don’t mean…
Citrine: That’s right. Red Dragon… Red…and precious.
The first flashback ended. The camera switches to Gaignun still holding his
head and flashes back again. This time, the flashback is inside the Yuriev
Institute. Nigredo acts frightened with Yuriev around.
Yuriev: Nigredo, come here.
Yuriev waits patiently for Nigredo to approach him, but as Nigredo is still
frightened, he refuses.
Nigredo: No! I’m abandoning my mission!
Nigredo quickly pulls out his gun and aims it at Yuriev.
Nigredo: (in an outburst) I won’t follow your orders anymore!
Nigredo fires his gun, but after that, the flashback ended and Gaignun holds
his head in tremendous pain and falls to the floor. His head then starts
turning bright yellow and then the light slowly covers his entire body. The
camera switches to the bridge of the Durandal. The elevator came up with Shion,
KOS-MOS, Jr. and chaos. Shion’s group approaches Shelley.
Jr.: So what’s the enemy’s status?
Shelley: I’m afraid I don’t have very good news. The Immigrant Fleet has
already descended into Miltia.
Jr.: Damn. We don’t have much time. If we don’t hurry, we’re gonna lose the
Zohar. Move the Elsa into the Foundation’s dock. Have it repaired to Captain
Matthews’ specifications. We’re goin’ right back out.
Mary understands and left the scene.
Shelley: (heard a transmission) Little Master, there’s a transmission from
Helmer. Shall I accept it?
Jr.: Yeah, hook us up.
The communication monitor with Helmer appeared near the console where Shelley
and Jr. are.
Jr.: Helmer. I’m sorry. We let them get ahead of us.
Helmer: It’s all right. It’s more important that you’re safe. I’m glad you made
it back.
Jr.: So, what’s the situation now?
Helmer: I’m afraid the news is grim. It seems the Parliament’s been thrown into
complete disarray.
Jr.: What’s going on with the Federation fleet? Don’t tell me they’re just
standing around watching?
Helmer: No, they’ve already been deployed on a descent mission, but it’s too
late. As long as the possibility exists that the enemy already has the Zohar,
the Federation can’t make any large-scale overtures.
Jr.: So I guess it’s up to us now.
There was a brief pause.
Helmer: I’m acutely aware of the danger, but there’s no one else we can turn to
right now. Please lend us your aid.
Jr.: All right. We’ll get the Zohar. You can count on it.
Shion’s group proceeds to the Elsa. In the Elsa’s bridge, Shion’s group talks
to Matthews.
Matthews: Dammit! I just had this ship remodeled, and it got wrecked again!
Well, at least that old man who joined the crew could fix it. So, want to head
for Old Miltia now?
Shion: Yes.
Matthews: Okay! Tony! Hit it!
Later, in Fifth Jerusalem, Gaignun’s hair is now blond like Dmitri Yuriev’s. He
communicates with a soldier by communication monitor.
Soldier: It’s good to see you awake again, Dr. Yuriev.
Voice of Yuriev: (Yuriev in Gaignun’s body) Sorry I’m late. I didn’t think it
would take this long for me to recover. How’s the situation?
Soldier: Extremely chaotic, sir. The Federation’s grown tired over the past
fourteen years and many unstable factions have arisen.
Voice of Yuriev: And U-DO?
Soldier: Fourteen years ago, one of the U.R.T.V.s made partial contact with it,
causing a medium-scale space-time anomaly alteration. Since then, it’s been
obstructed by two black holes. Even now we cannot confirm the state of its
existence.
Voice of Yuriev: All right. Ready my forces. I’ll contact you again shortly.
Soldier: Yes, sir. By the way, how are you feeling? I heard your old body was
disposed of.
There was a brief pause.
Voice of Yuriev: I feel great. There’s only so much lifespan-extension one can
achieve. But now I’m fine. Thanks to my son. That is…the son who killed me.
The camera switches to the view of the Immigrant Fleet battleships near Old
Miltia and then, the camera views the Submerged City in sundown. The Elsa flies
by. Inside the bridge of the Elsa…
Hammer: Oh, wow! The capital looks like it used to.
Jr.: Everything’s exactly like it was then. Time has stopped in this world.
chaos: The country of the hills of Mud, the land of Mu, was sacrificed. Being
twice upheaved, it suddenly disappeared in one night. At last the surface gave
way…and they sank along with their countries.
Shion: (puzzled) What’s that?
chaos: A fairy tale. A story about a land that vanished into the sea one night,
long ago.
Shion: Sacrificed… It definitely feels like it just looking of this place.
chaos: Yes it does.

Canaan: This area used to be the capital of Old Miltia. The area up ahead was
ground zero fourteen years ago. It was filled with U-TIC Organization
facilities. The area that handled the most important research was…
Jin: Labyrinthos. The original Zohar should still be sleeping deep inside it.
Canaan: Rubedo, your objective is to secure the original Zohar, correct?
Jr.: Yeah. Shion? Shion, are you all right?
Shion: What? Ah, yes. (Cecily and Cathe may be there as well.)
Jr.: Hmm? Did you say something?
Shion: No, it’s nothing.
Canaan: Now we can finally analyze the data in my head.
Jin: Yes. We should hurry.
Canaan: I agree. The Immigrant Fleet should already be here, but it’s really
quiet. That has me worried.
Shion’s group proceeds to the Elsa’s hangar and embarks on the E.S.s. The E.S.s
leaves the Elsa and arrived at the floor of the Submerged City. The E.S.s moves
on. After the E.S.s pursued further through the Submerged City, the E.S.s
arrived in the area with the Nalgfar. While Jr. pilots his E.S. Asher and walks
forward to the next area…
Vanderkam: Why is this damn thing not working?!
Jr. heard something from the Nalgfar.
Jr.: External speakers?
Soldier: We have mobilized all units, but we’re all exhausted from training
earlier. May I—
Vanderkam smacks the soldier.
Vanderkam: (being very strict) Line up, maggots! Did you pansies already forget
your training?! Do you know how bad you made me look?! Listen to me! What you
think means nothing! What you want means nothing! You do as I say! I am the
boot in your buttocks! (to the other soldier) You! What is your problem? Were
you born that dumb or did your drunk mama slap you on the wrong end when you
squirted out? Why are you laughing? Do I amuse you? I’m tired of all you
pantywaist nitwits! You make me physically ill! Drop and give me a million! I
will break you!
Suddenly, one of Vanderkam’s soldier spotted the E.S. Asher.
Soldier: Enemy unit discovered on deck! Standby!
Vanderkam: What did you say?!
Jr.: Dammit! They found us!
Vanderkam: All hands, prepare for battle! Target the Vector A.M.W.S.!
The Nalgfar Cannons prepares itself and 4 Kfuga Valys appeared at the scene.
Vanderkam: This is not a drill! Show me everything you’ve got!
The E.S.s fights Nalgfar Cannons and 4 Kfuga Valys. After the E.S.s defeated
Nalgfar Cannons and the 4 Kfuga Valys, they move on to the next area. The E.S.s
then reached the Labyrinthos tower.
Shion: Look. It’s the Labyrinthos tower.
Jr.: Yeah, we’re pretty close now. Better get ready.
MOMO: But it doesn’t look like we’ll be able to go there in our E.S.s.
chaos: Let’s look for another entrance. There should be a small gap somewhere.
The E.S.s destroyed all the blockades blocking the way to the entrance of
Labyrinthos. Shion’s group disembarks from their E.S. and climbs the ladder
down to Labyrinthos. In there…
Jr.: In order to get to the center of Labyrinthos, we’ll have to pass through
this waterway.
Shion’s group proceeds to the area with the water level machine and they
managed to adjust it properly to cross the next area. Later on in the room full
of odd things…
Jin: That’s odd. This place somehow feels different than the others.
Canaan: You’re right. It almost looks like there were people still working here
recently.
Ziggy: Nanomachines gone out-of-control…
MOMO: I have heard of nanomachines making rooms and passageways on their own.
Shion: No. No, it doesn’t feel like that. This is more like…like some sort of
consciousness is at work here.
Jr.: It’s U-DO. Its presence has spread this far out.
Jin: It would appear our destination is right in front of us.
The camera views the cobwebs in the corridor.
Jr.: Yeah. There’s no time to lose.
Shion’s group moves on. In the next area, Shion’s group takes the shuttle to
the core area. In the core area, Shion’s group went through a series of puzzle
solving to get to the consoles that opens the gate to the elevator that leads
to the main terminal. After that, Shion’s group returns to the core area and
takes the elevator to the main terminal. In the main terminal…
Canaan: This must be Labyrinthos’ main terminal.
Jin: So it would seem. … Canaan, the powerful protection placed on the data
within you uses the wave pattern emitted by the Zohar. We should be able to
remove it with this terminal.
Canaan: You don’t have to explain the details. Just hurry up and get it out.
Shion: Come on, let’s get inside!
Shion’s group opens the central structure and they go in the main terminal
room. Inside, Canaan approaches the analyzer seat and sits on it and Jin
approaches the console.
Jin: Well, we finally made it. At last, we can set you free from your curse,
Canaan.
There was a brief pause.
Canaan: I’d appreciate it if you could hurry. I really don’t want something
like this in my head any longer than I need to.
Shion: Hey, just what is the data inside of Canaan, anyway?
Jin: Put simply, it contains the identity of the mastermind behind the Miltian
Conflict.
Shion: Hold on a second. The mastermind behind the Conflict was…
Jin: Mm. The madman, Joachim Mizrahi. At least that’s what everyone thinks. But
just because most people believe something, doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s
true.
Shion: Wait, what do you mean?
Jin: You’re about to find out.
Jin activates the console and then as the analyzing of Canaan continues, the
console’s monitor has red texts all over the screen.
Jin: You’re familiar with the U-TIC Organization?
Shion: Sure. It’s the organization established by Joachim Mizrahi to study the
Zohar.
Jr.: We’ve gone through hell, thanks to them.
Shion: So what about the U-TIC?
Jin: The U-TIC Organization was originally a part of the Federation. Professor
Mizrahi was apparently using the data he obtained from studying the Zohar to
convert U-TIC into a military organization. But he never actually told the
Federation government. He kept them in the dark. But there’s something else
that’s strange about this. It takes an enormous amount of money to fund
research and weaponry. Yet, there’s no evidence that the Federation ever
provided that kind of financial backing.
Shion: So someone else was funding them from behind the scenes?
Jin: That’s right. Almost all of the U-TIC Organization’s enterprises were
nothing more than dummy corporations. That is, all except one.
Shion: Just one?
Jin: This data includes recorded information regarding a business known as
Hyams. It’s highly likely that this company was the one that actually provided
the money. And… The head of the Hyams outfit, a man named Heinlein, happens to
be one of the cardinals of the Immigration Fleet.
Jr.: So, are you saying that the U-TIC Organization has connections to the
Immigrant Fleet?
MOMO: Did Daddy… Did Daddy have connections to the Immigrant Fleet, too?
Jin: No. I presume Professor Mizrahi was merely being used. Their objective was
to acquire research data on the Zohar. Even the Realian outbursts that sparked
the Miltian Conflict were believed to be part of their experiments. But
something else happened that they couldn’t have predicted.
Jr.: U-DO awoke, and door to purgatory opened.
Shion: And the Gnosis appeared…
Jin: Everyone must have thought it was the end of the world. But that didn’t
happen. (to MOMO) MOMO. The truth of the matter is, your father wasn’t a madman
at all. In the ensuing chaos, Professor Mizrahi had to make a vital decision in
order to prevent the worst-case scenario.
MOMO: What decision?
Jin: He knew he had to somehow isolate the Zohar, U-DO, and all of Miltia, and
seal their power in a place where no one could touch it.
Shion: So, the reason Miltia was swallowed up by the Abyss was because
Professor Mizrahi…
Jin: A great many people were sacrificed for his sake. That’s probably the
reason he brought judgment down upon himself. To put an end to everything… (to
MOMO) Your father tried to save the world you were about to be born into. And
then he entrusted his secrets to you, the one he could trust most.
MOMO: Daddy… I knew it! I’m so…I’m so happy!
Shion: Wait a second. So if we just hand over the Zohar to the Immigrant Fleet,
they’ll…
Jin: Yes, they will likely repeat the tragedy from fourteen years ago. Please
go on without me. I’m going to send this data to Representative Helmer. (to
Canaan) Canaan, please handle the data backup.
Canaan: Understood.
Jin goes back to the console. Shion’s group without Jin proceeds to the
elevator to the Zohar Isolation Area. In there, Margulis appeared at the scene.
Ziggy: You!
Margulis glances at Shion’s group.
Margulis: I see. No wonder the air defense system was useless. (to Jr.) Right,
U.R.T.V.?
Jr.: Don’t…don’t call me that!
Margulis laughs.
Margulis: That Helmer…he’s certainly managed to assemble an impressive
ensemble. But your coming here now is pointless. We’ve already accomplished our
objective. The Zohar is now under our control. There’s nothing you can do. The
outcome is already decided.
Jr.: What the hell are you thinking? That thing is way beyond anything you can
handle. Do you have any idea what’s gonna happen?
Margulis: Of course I do.
Margulis takes out his sword in the sheath.
Margulis; The annoying Gnosis as well as a few pathetic, weed-like humans, who
are arguably even more worthless than the Gnosis, are going to disappear. Just
like Ariadne.
Jr.: You bastard!
Margulis: But weak as your position is, we still can’t allow anything to
interfere with our plans.
Margulis takes his sword out of the sheath.
Margulis: (in an outburst) Time to die!
Margulis launches a fireball from his sword and before the fireball could hit
Shion’s group, an ice wave from nearby hits the fireball and the place
brightens. Then, the ice wave destroys the fireball and approaches Margulis.
However, Margulis slashes the ice waves into pieces. Margulis then saw Jin from
above Shion’s group’s level.
Margulis: It’s been fourteen years, hasn’t it, Uzuki?
Jin: (holding his katana) Personally, I would have preferred to never see you
again.
Shion: (gasp) Jin!
Jin: The blade is for carving one’s heart, not for turning against the masses.
That’s what our master once said, was it not?
Margulis laughs out loud.
Margulis: This is perfect. I can’t believe you’re still a part of this, Uzuki.
Once again you insist on standing against me.
Jin: There were still a few things I wanted to look into. These people were
nice enough to give me a lift.
Margulis cracks his neck on each side.
Margulis: Absurd…
Jin: Nothing has changed here. You know, it was careless of you not to erase
those records fourteen years ago. Now you can never return to the Federation.
Or perhaps, were you a bit too busy to worry about that at the time?
Margulis: I see you still talk too much. (raises his sword towards Jin) Very
well. If you really want to know… You’ll have to use that sword to make me talk!
Jin: Naturally. That was my intent.
Jin jumps down to the bridge of the Zohar Isolation Area.
Margulis: (outburst at the last word in the sentence) Do not expect this to end
like it did before, Uzuki!
Jin and Margulis begin sword fighting. They clashed blades, evaded each other’s
attack. Then, Margulis’ attack caused Jin to get his katana taken by Margulis.
Margulis tries to strike Jin with his katana, but then, Jin grabbed the sides
of the katana with his hands, and Margulis tries to strike him. Jin then makes
Margulis strike the katana instead and Jin gave Margulis a foot sweep, knocking
him far away. Jin got his katana back. As they prepare their weapons, they
started clashing and evading again. Then, Margulis jumped on the railing of the
bridge, did a flip jump and strikes Jin’s katana. It clashed, but Jin falls to
the floor with his katana as he tries to push Margulis’ sword away from him.
Margulis: It’s been for too long, Uzuki. This feeling…of exhilaration!
Jin: I told you. I won’t allow a monster like you to inherit my grandfather’s
technique.
Jin kicks Margulis in the stomach and pushes him back.
Margulis: Bold words from such a fool!
Jin and Margulis charge at each other with their weapons and then, a bright
flash brightens the area briefly. Jin was then thrown back and however; he
lands safely on his feet. Margulis also landed safely on his feet after the
impact. Jin and Margulis get up.
Jin: I shouldn’t have spent my time running a used bookstore. I regret that now.
Margulis: (outburst in the last word of the sentence) I’ll make sure you die a
painful death someday, Uzuki!
Shion’s group with Jin fights Margulis. After Jin delivers the wounding blow to
Margulis…
Margulis: (holding his right arm) You’re as dangerous as ever. But no matter
how hard you struggle, there’s nothing you can do now. I hope you savor your
abject despair. You’re powerless.
Suddenly, an A.M.W.S. appeared at the scene and Margulis hops on the shoulder
of the A.M.W.S.
Margulis: Uzuki. If you want to settle this, you’ll have to survive first!
The A.M.W.S. with Margulis fled the scene. Shion then looks at the Zohar room
door and she and her group proceeds to the Zohar room. Inside, the camera views
the original Zohar. Then, Shion’s group approaches closer.
Jr.: Looks like we made it in time. Look, that’s the Zohar. The original.
Shion approaches closer.
Shion: This place… I saw it in my dream. The cage Feb’s sisters were trapped in.
Jr.: What cage?
KOS-MOS: Shion. I am detecting faint life signs in the capsules in front of us.
Shion: Life signs?
KOS-MOS: That is correct. Their design is quite old. However, they are
definitely Realians.
As Shion’s group approaches even closer to the two cages, Shion then saw the
names Cecilia and Catherine on the cage. The mist then reveals the sisters that
Febronia mentioned cage, horribly disfigured. Shion was terrified by the looks
of the sisters and kneels to the ground.
Shion: It…it can’t be. That’s…Cecily and Cathe…
Jr.: (also terrified) Wait… You…you’re saying that those are Realians?
Jr., terrified by the sisters, steps back slowly.
MOMO: Jr.? What’s wrong?
Jr.: MOMO, stay back!
MOMO approaches slowly and glances at the sisters who are breathing in a tube
connection got terrified and MOMO covers her face with her hands.
MOMO: (terrified) Shion… What is that? It’s horrible.
Shion: (horrified and disgusted) It’s horrible. I can’t stand this! (in a
disgusted outburst) I’m…I’m sick of all this! I just… I can’t take it anymore!
I just can’t! Uh!!!
chaos: Is there any way we can help them?
KOS-MOS: Unfortunately, because they are fused with the system, it appears they
have already lost their individual functionality and consciousness. In their
current state, separating them from the system would result in complete
shutdown.
Jr.: Bastards! Why’d they do this?
Voice of Patriarch: Because using them in their natural state proved difficult.
Suddenly, the Patriarch surrounded in a yellow beam of light appeared at the
scene.
Patriarch: It was necessary to isolate their consciousness from the outside
world.
Jr.: Who the hell are you?
The Patriarch does not respond.
Jin: Why would the leader of the Immigrant Fleet be here?
Patriarch: There’s really no need for me to answer questions from the likes of
you. But very well. The Zohar. That object originally belonged to us—to Ormus.
Yes, since the dawn of recorded history, we have been its guardians. In turn,
we use it in any way we see fit. That is the way of things.
Jin: Ormus… So that’s the real name of your organization.
Patriarch: That’s right. Ormus has enlisted in the shadows since ancient times.
Indeed, since before the crucifixion of the messiah. Human beings…no…all life
throughout the universe must be guided forward by Ormus and the Zohar. And they
shall be led unto a higher plane of existence. That is the mission that god has
entrusted to us.
Jr.: Damn you!
Shion stands up.
Shion: (angry) You… You did this to them for that?
Patriarch: What, is there a problem? They are tools, created specifically for
that purpose.
Shion: (angry) Shut up! I refuse… I refuse to accept this!
Patriarch: You refuse? Then, we’ll just have to make you accept it.
The Patriarch activates the Zohar.
Patriarch: This power is granted to us by god!
The Zohar begins to resonate.
Shion: (gasp) That’s…
Jr.: It’s… It’s the voice of U-DO! Stop the system! Now!
The camera views the Zohar.
Jr.: If you don’t, it’s gonna wake up again!
KOS-MOS approaches towards Shion’s spot.
KOS-MOS: Shion, please stand back. I will destroy the system and cut the bypass
to the Zohar.
The Minigun appeared on KOS-MOS’ hands. Shion blocks KOS-MOS’ way.
Shion: KOS-MOS, wait. They’re still—
KOS-MOS: Shion. If you interfere, I will be required to take drastic measures.
Shion: No, KOS-MOS!
Before KOS-MOS could open fire, the area freezes in white color, making
everyone except Shion frozen.
Voice of Febronia: Shion…
Shion slowly turns her head around and saw Febronia.
Shion: Feb?
Shion slowly turns around.
Febronia: Shion… Set my sisters free.
Shion: (about to cry) Feb… No, I can’t! (extremely upset) Why does it have to
be me? Why did you call me? I won’t do it! I can’t do it!
Shion holds her head, and is extremely upset.
Febronia: Shion… You’ve always been this way. Such a kind child.
Shion is about to cry as the tears can be seen from her eyes.
Shion: (saddened) Feb… Feb…
Shion starts crying. After crying for a brief moment, she stops crying and
speaks to KOS-MOS.
Shion: KOS-MOS…
Shion quickly moved out of the way.
Shion: (ordering KOS-MOS with an upset voice) Fire!
The time unfroze and KOS-MOS opens fire at the two sisters Cecily and Cathe in
their cage, destroying everything near them in the process and killing both
Cecily and Cathe. Shion looked extremely upset after seeing this. As KOS-MOS
continues to fire her Minigun at the sisters and the objects near the Zohar…
Patriarch: Foolish. Truly foolish. It doesn’t matter what you do now. You
cannot stop this power.
Proto Omega activates and conceals the Zohar into its torso.
Jin: It can’t be! Proto Omega! It’s been completed?
Patriarch: Oh? You know of it. I’m impressed. It seems I may have
underestimated you slightly. These past fourteen years have been of great help
to us. As has the data from the Conflict. As a result, we now have a symbol of
overwhelming power. With this, we will wipe the Gnosis from the cosmos and
place the entire star cluster under the jurisdiction of Ormus.
The camera shows Shion who is still upset looking down at the ground.
Patriarch: Of course, we hardly need anything this overwhelming now, thanks to
the U.M.N. and the Federation.
Shion slowly moves her head up.
Patriarch: They’ve managed to reduce the people to a simple mass of spineless
weaklings.
Jr. approaches in front of Shion and pulls out his gun.
Jr.: Shion, out of the way!
Jr. opens fire and KOS-MOS opens fire as well at Proto Omega, but the shield
kept absorbing the shots.
Patriarch: Wasting your time!
Proto Omega did a flash attack pushing back Shion’s group.
Patriarch: Now… let the festival begin!
Proto Omega descends into the chasm. Then suddenly, the area starts shaking and
crumbling.
Jr.: This is bad. We gotta go!
Shion’s group immediately evacuates Labyrinthos and boards the Elsa along with
their E.S.s. We watch a movie of the Elsa boosting off at full speed as Old
Miltia is blowing apart, revealing Proto Omega. Proto Omega creates an eruption
from the now devastated Old Miltia and blowing up the entire Immigrant Fleet
and Federation’s battleships, A.M.W.S.s and small battleships in the process.
Then, the wings erupted from Old Miltia and thus crumbling and destroying all
parts of Old Miltia in the process. The Elsa successfully boosts away from the
devastation scene of Old Miltia. Inside the bridge of Old Miltia, Shion’s group
looked at the remains of Old Miltia with Proto Omega.
Shion: (sorrowfully upset) No… Miltia…
Jr.: They destroyed the entire planet? How the hell could they do that?
The Elsa flies back to the Kukai Foundation. Meanwhile in Fifth Jerusalem…
Man: I see… So, Proto Omega has awakened. With this, our plan can now proceed
to the next level. The commander will surely be pleased as well.
A mysterious man appeared at the scene. As the man is making contact with
Pellegri, the man suddenly got shot and killed by that mysterious man.
Pellegri: What’s going on? Are you all right? Hey!
The mysterious man happens to be Yuriev.
Pellegri: You!
Yuriev: I’ve taken control of the Parliament. A reinforcement fleet is already
on its way. I won’t allow you to continue.
Pellegri: You! But you died…fourteen years ago…
Yuriev laughs softly.
Yuriev: Give your commander a message for me. I’m not going to die. Not now,
not ever.
Yuriev loads his gun and shot the communication monitor with Pellegri, shutting
off the monitor permanently. Yuriev left the scene with the camera showing the
man who is already dead. Meanwhile, in the Omega System, the Patriarch views a
bunch of monitors showing scenes from before.
Patriarch: Reinforcements? Damn Federation… Do they really want to destroy us
that badly? Hmph. It matters not. I’ll show them the errors of their ways.
The communication hologram of Margulis appeared at the scene.
Patriarch: Margulis. Take the fleet and eliminate them!
Margulis laughs gently.
Patriarch: What is it? Margulis, did you not hear me?
Margulis: I think perhaps it would be better if you went yourself, Holiness.
Patriarch: What? Have you lost your senses, Margulis? (getting angry) I am your
master! Now do as I say!
Margulis: You appear to misunderstand the situation. We Inquisitors serve but
one master. Surely, Your Holiness is aware of that.
The communication hologram of Margulis appeared behind the Patriarch.
Margulis: Everything has translated exactly as we have planned. All that’s left
now, is for you to die a martyr, Holiness.
Patriarch: Damn you! You can’t mean Heinlein?!
Margulis: I bid you farewell, Holiness…
The camera switches to the cabin of the Elsa, where Shion sitting near a table
with her head down and crying gently. Jin appeared at the scene.
Jin: So this is where you went…
Shion: (wiping the tears from her eyes) Leave me alone.
Jin: Everyone’s already transferred to the Durandal. You should hurry up and…
Shion: (upset and shouting in an outburst) I said leave me alone!
Jin became silent.
Shion: (covering her face) It’s just like it was fourteen years ago. (upset) It
was exactly the same. Feb was…she was killed right in front of me. I was all
alone, I couldn’t do anything myself, so I just ran!
Shion slams her fists on the table.
Shion: And again…I still couldn’t do anything…
Jin: Shion…
Shion: (frustrated) Why? Why did it have to be me? I never wanted to feel like
that again…
Jin: Shion… Did you not understand what Febronia wanted?
Shion gasped a little.
Jin: I think there was another whom she loved just as much as her sisters.
Shion: Another? Who?
Jin: Another sister bound by the chains of her past. I think she probably
wanted to save that sister just as much as her real sisters.
Shion: Another…sister…
Jin: Don’t you see? That’s why she chose you and gave you that painful role.
Shion gasped a little.
Shion: Feb wanted…for me…
Jin: Shion… It’s up to you, now, whether you choose to withdraw from this
painful world or learn to accept it. But, I can say this much. No matter what
you choose, you will not be alone.
Shion gasped a little and is still mum.
Jin: Or do you still not understand Febronia’s feelings?
Shion: Jin…
Jin: Now, please go. Now’s not the time to let everyone down.
Shion stands up and nods towards Jin. Shion approaches the doors and it opened.
But before she could leave for the Durandal…
Shion: Jin… I…
Jin looks at Shion without a word.
Shion: …I’ll go on ahead.
Shion left the scene.
Jin: (to himself) I…really am hopeless. Febronia, I am truly envious of you.
You…were able to do for Shion what I, her own brother, should have done. Now
the question is, what can I possibly do for Shion?
Jin is about to leave the cabin of the Elsa.
Jin: Or, even still…what can I do about my own past?
Later in the bridge of the Durandal, Shion’s group has already arrived at the
scene.
100-Series Realian: Little Master, a private transmission has arrived for you
on a general channel.
Jr.: What’s up?
100-Series Realian: It’s compressed in an encoded format. Shall I open it?
Jr.: Yeah, put it on.
The 100-Series Realian activated the communication monitor near Jr. and it is
Yuriev on the monitor.
Jr.: You!
Yuriev: It’s been a long time, my dear son.
MOMO: Jr.’s…father?
Shion: Dr. Dmitri Yuriev?
Yuriev: I heard about what happened fourteen years ago. Sounds like Albedo made
contact with U-DO and managed to cause a space-time anomaly alteration. That is
most regrettable.
Jr.: Bastard! You knew if we confronted U-DO, it might’ve destroyed Miltia! How
could you do that?!
Yuriev: Oh, please. I don’t recall raising you U.R.T.V.s to be idiots. If we
could save the star cluster at the cost of a single planet, I’d say that’s a
small price to pay.
Shion: Acceptable losses… I hate that term.
Yuriev: Now that we are faced with U-DO’s potential reawakening, we must
eradicate any and all uncertainties. We’ve determined that there will be an
attempt to re-contact U-DO. You must move immediately to eliminate the target,
Rubedo.
Jr.: Re-contact… You mean Albedo?
Yuriev: Yes. He was infected, and he has fallen.
Jr.: Mmph. I’ll atone for my past mistakes. But I will not do it by killing
Albedo… Instead, I’ll make him stop this insanity!
Yuriev: As you wish. I look forward to your results, Rubedo.
The communication monitor ended.
Jr.: Shelley, where did that transmission come from?

Meanwhile in Fifth Jerusalem, Yuriev suddenly holds his head and he transform
back to Gaignun.
Gaignun: Jr. Don’t trust… …my…words.
Shion’s group proceeds to the Elsa’s bridge and talks to Matthews.
Matthews: Yo! Heading out?
Shion: Yes.
Matthews: Where you wanna go?
Shion: Omega System.
Matthews: Okay! Tony! Hit it!
The Elsa boosts off to the Omega System. After the arrival, Shion’s group
proceeds to the hangar and launches the E.S.s. The E.S.s make their way to the
E.S. docking area and Shion’s group disembarks to reach the console to activate
the first gate and the second gate. After that, Shion’s group embarks on the
E.S.s. The E.S.s moves on to the area with the elevator for the E.S.s and a
docking area for the E.S.s. Shion’s group disembarks from the E.S.s and
activates the E.S.s elevator to go down. Shion’s group releases the lock bars
to let the elevator go all the way down. Shion’ group arrived at the area with
the elevator that descended to that room with the E.S.s. Shion’s group embarks
on the E.S.s. Before they could get to the gate, Inversion blocked the way. The
E.S.s fights Inversion. After the E.S.s defeats Inversion, they move on. In the
next area, the E.S.s solves this room’s puzzle by creating the bridge for to
the next area by destroying the right colored boxes. After that, Shion’s group
disembarks from the E.S.s, crosses the bridge and enters the next room. In the
next room, they take the platform to the next platform. In the next platform,
Shion’s group finds a console there and Jr. uses it. However, upon using it,
the Cathedral appeared at the scene. Shion’s group fights Cathedral. After
Shion’s group defeats Cathedral, the console appeared again. Shion’s group
activates the console and the platform that Shion’s group is standing moves to
the next area. In the next area, Shion’s group arrived at the area of Proto
Omega and the Patriarch.
Patriarch: You’ve done well to make it this far. I suppose it’s best not tom
underestimate the resilience of insects.
Jr.: I’ve heard enough of your crap!
Shion: Do you really know…what it is you’re doing?
Mysterious Voice: I agree.
Albedo appeared at the scene.
Albedo: Don’t you think it’s about time you quit playing this ridiculous game?
This power is mine. You have no right to it.
Jr.: Albedo!
Albedo: Yo, Rubedo. You seem happy to see me.
Jr. seemed puzzled.
Jr.: Don’t be stupid. How could I be happy?
Patriarch: Ah, if it isn’t Yuriev’s ghost. I’m afraid you’re a bit late. The
preparations are already complete. There’s no longer a point to your existence.
Albedo shakes his head slowly left to right.
Albedo: What an annoying old fool. (to Jr.) How about it, Rubedo? Want me to
give you a hand squashing this guy?
Patriarch: U.R.T.V. A failed product of a twisted age. A lower life form such
as you could never understand our ideals.
Albedo launches a beam from his hands at the Patriarch, but the Patriarch’s
barrier shield absorbed it. Then, Albedo jumps up to the air and while gliding,
he launches more beams at the Patriarch and Proto Omega, but the barrier shield
absorbed Albedo’s entire beam. The Patriarch then commands Proto Omega to fire
its beam at Albedo and Albedo is hit and surrounded in a purple field orb.
Albedo: That’s rich… You people are unbelievable. You’re going to destroy me?
Jr. approached Albedo and then after Albedo stands up, his feet starts to
disappear.
Albedo: (body is disappearing) Complete destruction doesn’t sound all that bad.
Jr.: Albedo!
Albedo: But, you see even reducing me to particles won’t make me disappear from
the cosmos. (to Jr.) Hey, Rubedo. Don’t forget to breathe deep and inhale the
particles that composed me.
Albedo laughs out loud before he vanishes completely.
Jr.: Damn you!
Jr. is pissed at the Patriarch.
Jr.: You bastard! You’re gonna pay!
Patriarch: What’s wrong? Wasn’t he your bitter enemy?
The Patriarch laughs out loud.
Jr.: The only one allowed to take Albedo out…is me!
Shion’s group fights the Patriarch. After Shion’s group defeats the Patriarch…
Patriarch: I cannot possibly lose to the likes of you!
Just when the battle was about to end, the Patriarch was revived and fights
again. Shion’s group manages to defeat the Patriarch again. After that…
Patriarch: (wounded) Completely incomprehensible. Why do you stand before me
like this? What good is any of this going to do you?
Jr. huffs and puffs.
Jr.: How the hell should we know? You’re the one who’s doing all this. You’re
the enemy!
Patriarch: I don’t have time for this nonsense. Once you see this, your
babbling mouths will be silenced for good. A U.M.N. Phase Transfer Cannon—a
weapon that can strike any target from anywhere in space.
Jr.: Why you!
Patriarch: Don’t worry. I’ll send you to meet him soon. When you reach the
afterlife, be sure and tell Helmer, too.
The Patriarch commands Proto Omega to fire a charged beam at Shion’s group, but
however, the charging stopped and did not fire.
Patriarch: What’s going on? What’s wrong? Work! Come on, work!
Voice of the Red Hooded Man: The Zohar does not exist for your sake.
Suddenly, three A.M.W.S.s with three hooded men appeared at the scene.
Patriarch: Who’s there?
Testament: We’d appreciate it if the supporting actors could just stick to
their roles.
Shion: (gasp) You’re…
Patriarch: Te…Testament!
Testament: Exit the stage. Your act is over.
Testament unleashes his thunder at Proto Omega. The impact creates a bright
destruction field near the Patriarch.
Patriarch: No! I am all power—
The destruction field vaporized the Patriarch and he is gone from the scene.
Proto Omega then disappeared leaving behind the Zohar. Testament then looks at
the third and silent mysterious hooded man.
Testament: What is it? See someone you know?
The camera views the mysterious hooded man. Ziggy looked angered.
Ziggy: It’s you.
Ziggy flashes back at the bloody scene where the silent hooded man stands near
the blood trail with a child’s shoe on the ground near the blood.
Ziggy: You!
The flashback ended.
Ziggy: (enraged) Voyager!
Ziggy fires his missile pod at the silent hooded man, but the missiles absorbed
the mysterious hooded man’s barrier shield. Then suddenly, the missiles
appeared behind Ziggy and it hits Ziggy, drops his missile pod and damaging his
body in the process.
MOMO: Ziggy!
Red Hooded Man: We don’t have time to play around. Begin.
The three hooded men used their powers to reveal Albedo.
Jr. Stop it! This is not what you were born to do!
Then, U-DO waves approaches Albedo and enters his body. Albedo laughs.
Albedo: Au contraire… This is the very moment I’ve been waiting for!
The three A.M.W.S.s with the three hooded men disappeared at the scene.
Albedo: Come, Rubedo. Come to my world! Let’s have some fun!
Jr.: U-DO…
KOS-MOS approaches slowly. Then with her body resonating, she activates the
barrier to prevent U-DO from approaching everywhere.
Shion: KOS-MOS?
KOS-MOS: Shion. Under the current conditions, I can hold this for approximately
three minutes. Please escape immediately.
Shion: KOS-MOS! But how…
KOS-MOS: The Elsa is currently heading towards our present coordinates. If you
destroy the exterior wall, you should be able to rendezvous with it.
Shion: Destroy the wall?
Ziggy, who is damaged from the previous attack, got up.
Ziggy: Leave it to me.
MOMO: Ziggy! You shouldn’t be moving in your condition!
Ziggy: Don’t worry. They can always repair my body.
Ziggy approaches the exterior wall.
Ziggy: Stand back!
In an outburst, Ziggy used his left fist to break and shatter the walls and
upon doing this, Ziggy loses his entire robotic left arm and falls to the floor.
MOMO: Ziggy!
Shion’s group approaches Ziggy and helps him up. Then, the Elsa can be heard
coming by.
Allen: Hurry, Chief! Please, get onboard! We’re almost out of time!
Shion’s group quickly gets onboard the Elsa. The Elsa boosts off really fast
and away and proceeds to Durandal. The Omega System is gradually transforming
into the Space Time Anomaly.
Voice of Albedo: Behold, Rubedo! At long last, my time has come! The time to
join the eternal chain!
The Space Time Anomaly has been completely revealed.
Voice of Albedo: The time to quench my thirst at the source!
Later, in the Durandal’s bridge, Shion’s group arrived at the scene.
Jr.: Give me an update.
100-Series Realian: No change in the waves from the space time anomaly. Further
expansion appears to be temporarily halted.
Jr.: Well, it sounds like we owe one to KOS-MOS.
Mary: We don’t have much time to relax, Little Master. The phenomena alteration
may have stopped expanding for now, but it’s just a matter of time before it
starts up again.
Shion: It’ll swallow up the whole region eventually, won’t it? Isn’t there any
way to stop it?
Jin: Hmm. It’s likely the only way to resolve this situation is to go in there
and destroy the source directly. But the risk involved is enormous.
Jr.: How are the Elsa and the assault craft?
100-Series Realian: They have sustained a great deal of damage, but they are
still operational. We can launch at any time.
Jr.: Okay, got it. Shelley, I need you to take over here.
Shelley: Acknowledged.
Jr. alone takes the elevator to the Bridge Area. Then, Jr. proceeds to the Park
Area. In the park, Jr. sits down near the fountain by himself. Then, footsteps
can be heard.
Shion: There you are.
Shion appeared at the scene.
Shion: You sure it’s all right for the commander to be hanging around here?
There was a brief pause.
Jr.: It’s okay. Mary and Shelley can handle things just fine.
Shion sits near the fountain.
Shion: You’re thinking about this?
There was a brief pause.
Jr.: He keeps calling me. It seems he wants to settle the score.
Shion: But he’s your brother. Are you sure you can fight him?
Jr.: I dunno. But I have to go. I can’t…I can’t just let things stay the way
they are now. I’m the only one who can stop him, so…

Jr. gets up and walks by Shion.

Shion: I don’t have any details, but I know MOMO hasn’t left his side since she
started repairing him.

repair manual like an ancient manuscript. It was difficult to get a hold of.

Ziggy: Yes?

Ziggy thinks for a brief moment.

room.

MOMO left the scene.

There was a brief pause.
MOMO: Are you going by yourself?

reminiscences the time Jr. gave him the bracelet with his bullet and when Jr.
apologizes to her to meet Albedo. Then, Jr. enters the E.S. Asher. The camera
shows Jr.’s eyes opening and then the E.S. Asher’s head lit up. In the bridge
of the Durandal…
100-Series Realian: The third hangar’s hatch has been forced open. The E.S.
Asher is moving onto the catapult.
Mary: What?
The camera shows the E.S. Asher moving towards the catapult.
Mary: Little Master! What’s he doing?
100-Series Realian: Little Master, please come back. Little Master!
There was no response from Jr.
100-Series Realian: It’s no good. Communications are off.
MOMO: Um, Jr. said he wanted to go test his craft. So…he should be right back.
Shion: MOMO. Jr.’s going, isn’t he? To that place… To put an end to this.
The camera shows the back head of the E.S. Asher.

Albedo as a child appeared at the scene.
Albedo: What’s the matter? It’s unusual to see you alone like this. Aren’t your
little friends with you? I can handle settling things with you by myself.
Albedo laughs.
Albedo: There’s no use pretending. You’re scared… Scared you’ll abandon them,
just like you did before. You might even end up letting them all die.
Albedo laughs.
Albedo: That’s just like you, you coward.
Albedo disappears and reappears in a little farther area.
Albedo: Come. Come to me.
Albedo walks away from Jr.
Albedo: That is, assuming your heart can hold up that long.
Albedo laughs and turns into a portal. Jr. enters the portal and then there was
a flashback. In the flashback, Jr. saw Albedo digging the ground with some
Kirshwassers.
Albedo: I’m making graves for Rubedo and Nigredo. It’s just for pretend,
though. I’m practicing so that when they die, I won’t cry. If I link with U-DO
again, I wonder if he’ll kill me… I hope he will. He is our leader, after all.
Jr.: I… I wouldn’t do anything like that!
Albedo laughs.
Albedo: Of course you would!
Albedo turns his head and faces Jr.
Albedo: That’s how you’re built.
Suddenly, Albedo’s eyes begin to glow.
Albedo: Because we’re the anti-existence of U-DO.
Jr. is slightly frightened.
Albedo: Do you know what the link is like?
The Kirshwassers starts embracing Albedo.

Albedo laughs and the flashback ended. Jr. continues to move on to the next
portal. Upon entering, there was a second flashback. Then in the flashback, a
punching could be heard and Sakura can be seen knocked to the ground.
Albedo: (enraged) I don’t like you. You’re bothering Rubedo, the way you try
and flirt with him. Say something, you mannequin!
Albedo approaches the helpless Sakura.
Jr.: What are you doing? Stop it!
Albedo continuously punches Sakura in the face.
Albedo: (enraged) I hate you! I hate you!
Jr.: I said, stop it!
Albedo: What? Why are you stopping me? You are so annoying. It’s not like you
have any real power. The only thing you can do is butter people up.
Albedo grabs the slain Sakura by her hair.
Albedo: I hated this girl! She was always flirting with you.
There was a brief pause.
Albedo: I’m glad she’s dead. I am. Now, there’s nobody around trying to seduce
you.
Jr.: (furious) That’s enough! Let go of Sakura!
Jr. furiously punches Albedo to the desk, causing Albedo to knock a lamp down
in the process.
Sakura reverts to MOMO.
Jr.: MOMO?
Albedo: No, that’s right, there’s still that imitation. You’re such a pitiful
man, Rubedo. To think, you have to satisfy yourself with this toy!
Jr.: (furious) Albedo, you son of a—
Albedo: Is this rag doll important to you?
The camera shows MOMO unconscious.
Albedo: It’s too late. She’s already been damaged. By my own hand!
Jr.: Stop! Don’t say any more!
Albedo: I enjoyed every minute of it, too. You should give it a try yourself,

Jr. tries to punch Albedo in the face, but Albedo vanishes and Jr. ended up
punching the wall.
Voice of Albedo: Let’s hurry up and finish this. When I kill you, I’ll have
everything. It’s so disgusting… I’m sick of you clinging to me like this!
Albedo laughs and the flashback ended. Jr. moves on to the next portal. In the
next flashback, Jr. enters a mirror hallway.
Jr.: What is this?
Jr. saw himself in one of the mirror and just walks away. But the Jr. in the
mirror reacts in his own way.
Mirror Jr.: Yo, Rubedo! Are you ready to fight now?
Jr.: What?
As Jr. moves back, another Jr. in the mirror acts in his own way.
Mirror Jr.: You should just smash him. It shouldn’t be a problem for you.
Jr.: Stop it!
One of the Jr. in the mirror grabs his neck with his hands.
Mirror Jr.: How long are you gonna keep holding back? Kill him already! Come on!
Jr.: Stop it!
Mirror Jr.: He was always getting in the way. You don’t need a loser like him
around.
Jr.: Stop it!
Jr. backs up towards another mirror and that Jr. turns into Albedo.
Albedo: Hurry up and kill me!
Jr.: (outburst) Stop!
Jr. opens fire at the mirror, shattering them to pieces. Then suddenly, Jr.’s
eyes had a red glow and his body is burning up.
Jr.: Dammit! Not now! Red Dragon mode… The anti-U-DO shift! No… No!
The camera flashes white and as Jr. reacts to Red Dragon mode, Sakura appeared
behind him and places her hands on Jr.’s back.
Sakura: Rubedo… Don’t be afraid. I…I believe in you, Rubedo.
After that, the camera switches to Jr. who is in Red Dragon mode, gets a hold
of himself and Red Dragon mode is off. Jr. catches his breath and retrieves his
two guns.
Jr.: I am…me. I won’t…give in to it.
Jr. moves on to the next portal. Jr. finally arrives in the area where the
present Albedo is waiting. As Jr. walks forward, he saw the Kirshwassers in
liquefied containers. Then…
Albedo: Glad you could make it, Rubedo. Take a look at me. I’ve finally
acquired what I was missing before. I may have lost my body, but I feel so much
better.
Jr.: Stop the space-time anomaly, Albedo. There’s still time if you do it.
Albedo: I’m to repent, am I? I think not. As my duty as an immortal, I’ve
prepared a brand new world view for mankind. When I temporarily linked with
U-DO, I climbed the ladder of evolution and saw the leaning tower of culture
that humans have struggled to construct. It’s not even a tower, really. It’s a
scaffold of rotting wood, built with meager knowledge and pitiful tools! But a
nice guy would tell them the truth, would he not? (literally) Hello! You’ve got
it all wrong!
Jr.: What are you gonna do with this region of space?
Albedo: Who knows? Perhaps I’ll cause a shift and shove this whole dimension
into a high-order domain. Don’t be afraid. We low-dimension creatures will move
en masse to a higher plane! It’ll be glorious! The true eternal chain! The
fulfillment of that which we lacked! The evolution of mankind and the evolution
of the very world itself that watches over us!
Albedo activates his power.
Albedo: Happy days are here! They’ll name a holiday after me! That is, assuming
they even have the concept of holidays on the other side.
Albedo launches his power at Jr. and Jr. enters Red Dragon mode.
Jr.: (in uncontrollable pain) Stop! If you don’t stop, I’ll have to stop you!
Albedo: Come, my positron. You are an anti-U-DO weapon. My heart tingles with
anticipation. A weapon need not feel shame for desiring combat. For all we
know, humans themselves may be weapons created by the world.
Jr. tries to get a hold of himself.
Jr.: You’re right. I am a weapon. Every cell in my body is aching for a fight.
They long to collide with their anti-existence. I’ve probably wanted to fight
from the moment we were born.
Albedo: We think alike, Rubedo. I feel exactly the same way. (getting evil)
Right now, I’d like to rip you to shreds!
Jr., in an outburst, twirls his guns and aims at Albedo.
Jr.: Bring it on! I’m gonna rip you right outta here and drag you back to the
Durandal!
Jr.’s final fight is against none other then Albedo. After Jr. defeats Albedo,
the place is crumbling and Jr. rushes back to Albedo.
Albedo: Not bad… Rubedo.
Jr.: Albedo? You…
Albedo: Well, Rubedo? Admit it. You enjoyed that didn’t you?
Jr.: Yeah. It was fun. My blood danced in my veins. We really are nothing more
than instruments of war.
The contraption that is covering Albedo’s legs disappeared and Albedo kneels to
the floor.
Albedo: No, that’s not it. We’re not foolish because we’re tools. It’s because
we’re men. Oblivion, huh?
Albedo’s left arm is in see-through form.
Albedo: You might say this is a release. At least, I won’t have to fear losing
anyone anymore.
Jr. rushes towards Albedo.
Jr.: Albedo?
Albedo: What’s with that face? You look like you just lost your best friend,
Rubedo.
Jr.: You bastard! You knew all along--
Jr. is upset.
Albedo: What are you talking about? I…I can’t stand you or Nigredo.
There was a brief pause.
Albedo: Rubedo… Beware of Nigredo’s shadow. Think why it is he doesn’t react to
U-DO.
Jr. is about to cry and looks up and saw a bright light from above with winged
Kirshwassers coming down.
Jr.: Kirshwassers?
The Kirshwassers holds Albedo and lifts him up in the air.
Jr.: (about to cry) No! Don’t go! Albedo! Don’t go! Don’t leave me alone!
Albedo: Ah, look, Rubedo! I’m free!
The Kirshwassers carries Albedo into the light that leads to the afterlife.
Then, the light fades away.
Jr.: (extremely upset) Albedo? (shouts in a loud outburst) Albedo!
Later, Jr. can be heard and seen crying as he sits in the dark area. Then,
Sakura appeared from behind Jr.
Sakura: What’s wrong, Rubedo?
Jr.: (crying) I…I can’t hear it. My right chest… I can’t hear my other
heartbeat anymore.
Sakura: Is that why you’re crying?
Jr.: (crying) Leave me alone. I just tore away half of my body with my own
hands. The me that’s here…i…isn’t me anymore.
Sakura: Were you really that weak, Rubedo? That’s not the Rubedo I know.
Jr.: (crying) Who cares? No…None of that matters anymore.
Sakura: Get up, Rubedo. There are people waiting for you. Don’t let them down
now.
The camera shows Jr.’s face as he is sobbing.
Sakura: Remember…remember the promise that you made me?
Then, MOMO appeared in place of Sakura.
MOMO: Please promise me. Promise you’ll come back!
Jr. stops sobbing and crying.
Jr.: MOMO!
MOMO reverts back to Sakura.
Jr.: Sakura, you’re right! I promised I’d protect your sister… …didn’t I?
Jr. stands up.
Jr.: (wiping the tears from his eyes) I couldn’t protect my younger brother.
But there are still people I care about who I can protect.

Jr. approaches Sakura and instead gets embraced by chaos without looking at him.

Nephilim appeared at the scene.
Nephilim: Finally. He’ll be able to find peace.

The camera zooms away from the characters and reveals the Space Time Anomaly.
Nephilim: One day, that ripple will glow into a large wave, and it will swallow

The Space Time Anomaly disappears and reveals a Zohar.
chaos: Yes. And that’s why I want him to rest. Even if his rest is but a short
one.
Later in the Durandal’s bridge, the elevator came up with Jr. and chaos. Jr.
looks a little down and walks slowly forward.
Jr.: Sorry to…to worry all of you.
MOMO: Jr.! Thank goodness!
MOMO jumps onto Jr. and hugs each other after they turn around twice.
MOMO: You’re okay! I’m… I’m so happy!
Jr.: Yeah. I promised, after all. But, it was really this guy who saved me.
Jr. looks at chaos.
Jr.: Guess I owe him another one.
chaos waves goodbye and takes the elevator down.
Shion: Jr. Did you make up with him?
Jr.: I dunno about that. We were both pretty stubborn. He said he hated me,
right to the bitter end.
Shion: Oh, I see. So it was just a big family squabble, huh?
100-Series Realian: Mary, we have a Zohar confirmed at point 3-E. Referencing
the coordinates with the simulator. There’s a 93% probability it’s the original
that was on Miltia.
Mary: Nice work! Ready to wire the pod for launch! This is our last job! Give
it everything you’ve got!
100-Series Realian: Warning signal. Abnormality in the surrounding space
detected.
Mary: What? Give me a full report!
The camera views the outside of Durandal.
100-Series Realian: Large-scale spatial distortion detected. A large mass is
gating out. Mass estimate increasing… Immeasurable… It’s materializing into
normal space.
Mary: A Gnosis? You gotta be kidding me! There can’t be a Gnosis that big!
100-Series Realian: Shockwave approaching!
A shockwave can be seen and set off. It brightens everything in its path
including the Durandal and Wilhelm’s office.
Wilhelm: It’s coming… Abel’s Ark…
Suddenly, Abel’s Ark appeared in outer space, and the Zohar falls into the warp
hole of Abel’s Ark. chaos who is standing outside of the Durandal, looks at
Abel’s Ark vanishing and after Abel’s Ark vanished, the camera views Wilhelm’s
office.
Wilhelm: It’s been a long time… Yeshua. I’m pleased that you’ve come. But…
Didn’t you say you weren’t going to intervene?
The camera views chaos.
chaos: I’ve made up my mind. I won’t hold back anymore.
The camera views Wilhelm.
Wilhelm: That’s wonderful. I’m thrilled…that you’ll finally be entering the
stage.
The camera views outer space and then the credits roll. As the credits roll,
the scene to the left of the credits can be seen. In the Durandal…
Jr.: Mary! Come here a second.
Mary quickly approaches Jr.’s position.
Jr.: Listen, think it’d be okay if I kept a dog on the bridge?
Mary: A dog?
Jr.: Hey, come here, boy!
The dog appeared and as Mary saw it, she giggled. Jr. picks up the dog by its
body.
Jr.: His name’s Alby. He’s an albino, so, Alby.
The dog squeaks.
Mary: Hmmm. He’s got a kinda tough-looking face.
Jr.: Yeah. I hope he doesn’t misbehave like someone we know.
The scene switches to Second Miltia Space Port where MOMO and Ziggy with his
newly repaired robotic left arm entering Space Port from boarding gate. MOMO
then saw Juli Mizrahi and MOMO quickly dashes towards Juli Mizrahi.
Juli: Welcome back, MOMO.
MOMO: It’s good to be back!
Ziggy approaches Juli Mizrahi and MOMO.
Juli: (to Ziggy) I’m planning on living with MOMO for a while. I’d like to ask
you to protect her again, should the need arise. What are your plans now?
Ziggy: Through the kindness of the representative trustee, I’ve been assigned
to the Kukai Foundation. I am to be stationed on the Durandal, and if MOMO
requests, I will be loaned out to her as a matter of priority. For that
purpose, I will also be undergoing life extension.
Juli: Really?
MOMO: Which representative trustee made the request?
There was a moment of pause.
Ziggy: The little one, of course.
MOMO: You mean little Jr., right?
The scene switches to the Dämmerung of the dock area.
Shion: (to Jin) So… You’re really going.
Jin: I don’t believe this chain of events is truly over. And I’m concerned
about that Ormus organization the Patriarch mentioned.
Shion: Of course, your bookstore idea didn’t last six months. I hope you won’t
be changing jobs again quite so soon.
There was a brief pause.
Jin: I’ll do the best I can. Although… I don’t know if time will wait another
six months.
Jin laughs.
Voice of Matthews: Hey people, it’s time to get moving. Come on up to the deck.
Before Jin could board the Elsa…
Shion: Jin!
Shion steps up closer to Jin’s distance.
Shion: Be careful, okay?
Jin nods and boards the Elsa. The Elsa then takes off and Shion waves goodbye
to them while the Elsa lifts off. Inside the Elsa, chaos smiles. Allen and
KOS-MOS also appeared at the scene and Allen waves his raised arms. In the
Elsa, Tony sticks up his index and middle fingers on his right hand and Hammer
waves his raised arms. Matthews’ seat came down and kicked Hammer. The Elsa
left the scene. Then later…
Voice of Miyuki: Shion!
Allen: Hey Miyuki…ahh!
Miyuki runs towards Shion, running Allen to the floor in the process.
Miyuki: Welcome back, Shion! It sounds like a lot happened!
Allen places his left hand on Miyuki’s right shoulder and stands up.
Allen: You can say that again! (tired) It’s too much for a quiet engineer. I
wanna take a nice long vacation.
Miyuki: Ah, Allen, your vacation’ll have to wait. You’ve got mountains of
reports to fill out!
Allen: (whining) What? Are you serious?
Shion smiles a bit as she looks at KOS-MOS.
Shion: Well, KOS-MOS, shall we get going? It’s time to go home.
The camera zooms away from the dock area and the Dämmerung flies away. After
the credits, we now watch the epilogue. In the dark area, there are four
A.M.W.S. with a light from above to the people standing are talking.
Wilhelm: I see. So this is the Y-Data. But there’s a great deal missing.
Testament: But both he and the U-TIC Organization have completely poured
through the Realian’s main database.
Red Hooded Man: He only went as far as the subconscious.
Wilhelm: Below even that…in the lowest level of the unconscious domain… Are you
saying the answer lies in the Unus Mundus?
Red Hooded Man: Most likely.
Wilhelm: Really? Well, I suppose we’ll leave it at that for now. When the path
to Lost Jerusalem is opened, KOS-MOS will awaken.
Testament: So, what will you do with him?
The camera views the silent hooded man.
Mysterious Voice: I said it was a shame, didn’t I?

A white A.M.W.S. with a white hooded man descended down at the scene.
