This is a FAQ about vehicles. You would already know that by now because you
opened this FAQ. There are a few vehicles in Timespliters: Future Perfect. This
FAQ is about them. I hate writing introductions - I never know what to say...

-THE VEHICLES-

Now for the important part: the vehicles. I have listed descriptions of their
appearance, weapons, ect. I have also listed where you find them and the
passenger space. All wrapped together with some other stuff.

All the vehicles are avalible in story mode. Some allow you to have more then
one person in them, and some can even be used in mapmaker. Here is the list:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-TRUCK/TURRET-

Speed: 4/5 - Quite fast, but it's speed doesn't make up for the rest of it's
flaws.
Turning: 2.5/5 - Average
Weapons: 2/5 - A single gun turret mounted onto the back of the truck. It isn't
very strong, and it is VERY hard to hit those little enemies at the speeds that
Captain Ash drives. You can not shoot enemies that are in front of the truck,
though they would probably just get run over anyway. The only thing I find the
useful for is for shooting down seaplanes.
Passenger space: 1 driver, 1 passenger, 1 gunner.

Description: Sorry, it's not a semi-trailer. It's a crappy looking wooden piece
of trash. The front half of the truck has 2 seats (1 driver and 1 passenger)
while the back half resembles a ute with a gun turret sticking out.

Where to find it: There are two of these in 'Scotland, the brave'.

1) After you go back outside after escaping the trap with the turret boat, you
see a carrige roll into the water. Go down to the dock-like area and head
towards the shed. Kill all the enemy soldiers there. The truck is parked in the
entrance to the shed.

2) After you drive up the road to the doors of the castle get out of your
truck. You are expected to blow up the castle door now. Next to the TNT is a
truck that has been flipped over. Press A to flip it back up. Now you have two
trucks. If you are in co-op, you can have truck wars now.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-ZEEP-

Speed: 4/5 - Fast enough to squish your enemies into puddles of blood.
Turning: 3/5 - Just over average.
Weapons: 0/5 - NO WEAPONS!!! The only way you can kill something with this
thing is to run them over. Running someone over usually kills them one shot,
but it's risky. In arcade if you attempt to run someone over you can expect to
get a shotgun shell in your head.
Passenger space: 1 driver, 1 passenger.

Description: A little, two seater car thingy. It's got army colours and looks
kind of boxy. The seats don't have a roof so the crew can be shot. The Zeep
resembles a Jeep in almost every way.

Where to find it: There are two Zeeps in 'The Russian connection'.

1) After Harry Tipper uses his 'laser glasses' to cut a hole into the grating
and then leaves you, head into the next big open area with the building in the
middle. If you are stealty, you can find it behind the building, next to some
boxes. If you run out shooting like a maniac, it will find you.

2) After you turn the power back on, open the door to section 3. As soon as you
enter you will get a checkpoint and will be fired upon by a bunch of henchmen.
You will see the Zeep right in front of you but don't enter it yet. Let the
henchmen kill you. You will start back at the checkpoint in front of the Zeep,
but all of the henchmen will be gone for some reason. Feel free to take their
Zeep now.

There is one Zeep in Siberia (Multiplayer map)

The Zeep here is lying all on it's own in the middle of a frozen pond. Since
Siberia is in the open just follow the purple dot on your radar to find it.

You can also put Zeeps in your own mapmaker arcade or story maps. Here's how:

First off, you need to set the editor settings to 'advanced'. You cannot get
Zeeps in the 'beginner' setting. You need to set the map theme to Egyptian,
Military, or Horror so you get a Zeep instead of a Turbo Buggy. Now create some
land for the Zeep to go on. Then go into the 'items' section and select the
Zeep. Place it on the land and test the map. There are a lot of things you can
do with a Zeep in mapmaker...

For more information on mapmaking, see Bisected8's Makmaker FAQ.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-MINE CART-

Speed: Variable - Slow when going uphill, fast when going downhill.
Turning: 5/5 - The mine cart goes along the tracks by itself. You don't have to
turn at all! Just concentrate on shooting the Headsprouters that hang from the
ceiling.
Weapons: Variable - Use whichever weapon you have to aim and shoot the
'sprouters while the cart drives by itself. I suggest the Revolver for this
since they all die from one bullet no matter which gun it's from.
Passenger space: 1 passenger.

Description: I'm sure you all know what a mine cart looks like... No? Well you
can find out now. The mine cart is basicaly a wooden box with wheels and an
open roof. It runs on mine tracks.

Where to find it: There is one in 'What lies below'

Play through the level until Jacob Crow makes you fall down a hole in a
cutscene. Once the cutscene ends, you are in the mine cart. It really is
impossible to miss. Now you just have to survive the ride.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-ROBOT TANK-

Speed: 1.5/5 - Pretty slow, but it's a tank so what else did you expect?
Turning: 3.5/5 - The turning looks unrealistic for the better. The tank turns
much better then you would expect.
Weapons: The tank has 2 weapons, the turret and the cannon:
Turret: 4/5 - The turret is very powerful. In the story mode you use it to blow
up enemy fighters. The turret can kill them with one of it's rapid moving
bullets. You can't go wrong with this gun.
Cannon: 3.5/5 - The cannon is pretty strong, but still not strong enough. It
can take out an enemy tank - with about 5 shots.
Passenger space: 1 driver, 1 gunner, about 3 passengers.

Description: A long, flat tank. It has headlights at the front and a giant
turret built into the back. The cannon is built between the headlights. The
is a sort of greyish colour.

Where to find it: There is one in 'Machine wars'

The tank is located close to the start of the level. Fight your way through the
first set of Insesticks and Promonathusus. Then a short cutscene with Cortez
and R-110 entering the tank will begin. Now the tank is all yours.

-TURBO BUGGY-

Speed: 5/5 - This car is FAST. Very fast. The fastest vehicle in the game.
Turning: 4/5 - Good turning to match the buggy's great speed.
Weapons: 0/5 - Why couldn't they put weapons on this thing? It would be near
perfect then.
Passenger space: 1 driver, 1 passenger.

Description: This car sort of resembles the Zeep apart from a few things. The
Zeep looks crap and the turbo Buggy looks good. The turbo buggy has a big turbo
on the back of it (as you would think). In story and mapmaker lab maps, the
buggy is a boring grey colour. Put one in a virtual map and it turns into a
cool looking blue and red coloured car. If you know what a dune buggy looks
like then you know what the turbo buggy looks like.

Where to find it: There is one in 'Machine wars'

After you finish using the tank for the second time, you go through a subway.
When you go through the subway you will see the buggy sitting in the middle of
a dirt road. Now it's time to drive to the workers entrance.

There is also a pre-made map called 'Buggy time trial' Where you have to
complete 3 laps around a track using the Turbo Buggy.

You can also put turbo buggies in mapmaker maps. Just follow the steps to get
a zeep above, then change the map theme to virtual or lab.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-GOLIATH SD/9-

Speed: 1/5 - The damn mech takes ages to go anywhere. It doesn't really matter
though because you just have to shoot the fighters.
Turning: 0.5/5 - The mech never turns when you use it.
Weapons: The battle mech has two weapons, missiles and the machine gun:
Missiles: 4/5 - You just have to lock onto an enemy fighter and fire and it's
all over for them.
Machine gun: 3/5 - Why use the machine gun when you can use missiles?
Passenger space: 0 (controlled from terminal).

Description: A huge battle mech. It's head is rectangular, and it has claws on
end of it's hands. It's a dark greyish colour.

Where to find it: There is one in 'Machine wars'

After you finish driving the turbo buggy, R-110 will hack a terminal on a wall.
Go up to the terminal and press A. You are now controlling the mech. Shoot down
the enemy fighters.

Also, you fight a Goliath SD/9 in 'Something to crow about'. I don't know why I
put that here...

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-STRUDEL!!!-

Speed: 3.5/5 - Fast enough to outrun any human.
Turning: 2/5 - You will tip Strudel over A LOT trying to turn.
Weapons: 0/5 - Wouldn't it be fun if Strudel could shoot missiles...
Passenger space: 0 passengers. To drive, walk up to Strudel and press A.

Description: Strudel is by far the most fun vehicle to use. Strudel is a stiff
remote controlled cat with wheels instead of feet. His fur is white. His tail
is sticking right into the air. If you know what a cat looks like then you know
what Strudel looks like.

Where you find it: Strudel is in 'The Khallos express'

Play through the level until Khallos traps Cortez and Harry Tipper in the gas
room. Use the uplink to escape the gas room and go into the next room with the
table in the middle. Khallos has left Strudel at your mercy (that coward).
Strudel is lying on the floor on the right hand side of the table. You can
now take Strudel anywhere you want on that carrige. If you try to get Strudel
onto the next carrige he will get stuck between the carrige you're on and the
next one.

There is also a set of challenges called 'Cat Driving' where you have to drive
Strudel around a series of tracks as fast as possible for prizes.

There is also a pre-made map called 'Cat racing Xtreme' where you have to use
Strudel to get to the top of a large open area using a set of jumps. This
really tests your cat driving skills.

You can also make your own obstacle courses for Strudel. Here's how to get
Strudel in Mapmaker:

Set the editor settings to 'Advanced'. Create some land for Strudel to go on.
Go into the 'items' section and select Strudel. Place Strudel on the land and
test it.

Also, you can turn Strudel into a weapon. Simply stick a remote mine(s) onto
Strudel then drive him up to an enemy and detonate the mine(s). The enemies
will run away when you drive Strudel to them with mines stuck to him, so you
have to be fast. A more useful use for this trick is in team deathmatch. One
player gets the mine detonating remote out while another player drives "mined"
Strudel to a helpless player on the other team. Then drive Strudel back to be
given some more ammo. (Thanks to Bisected8 for tlling me about this trick).

There, that's all the vehicles done.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-THE END PART-

This is where the rest of the stuff goes.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-THANKS-
