1-Introduction
-------------------------------------------------
At the time of me writing this FAQ, I only have the Japanese version
of the game(Shin Sangoku Musou 4) and my Japanese is very poor, so I
may have some trouble with names and such. Other FAQs I've written
for GameFAQ's are also based on characters from the game
Shin Sangoku Musou 4/Dynasty Warriors 5 and they are
Guan Ping
Ling Tong
Ma Chao
Pang Tong
This FAQ is being written based on my experiences
playing the game Dynasty Warriors 5/Shin Sangoku Musou 4,
playing as the character Lu Bu. Through out this FAQ I’ll
cover thing such as his, move set, musou mode stages, weapons,
models ect.

3-Lu Bu Character bio
-------------------------------------------------
A warrior without equal, his life was an eassy in betrayl. he was first
convinced by Li Su to betray Ding Yuan, his adpoted father, to join
Dong Zhuo. he killed Ding Yuan and joined Dong Zhuo, rececving Red Hare in
the process. his strength of the battle field was proven when at Hu Lao
Gate he stoped and killed officers from the allied forces. he was about
to kill Gongsun Zan, but Zhang Fei came to his rescue, the two fought
without either giving way, Guan Yu joined the fight, but still Lu Bu did
not yield, finaily Liu Bei joined in, the was to much, even for Lu Bu.
so he feld. he would later be convinced by Wang Yun to kill Dong Zhuo
and take Diao Chan for himself, he did, but Dong Zhuo's former officers
attacked him causing him to flee, after a breif war with Cao Cao, he
settled into Xu, which was under the control of Liu Bei, durning Liu
Bei's abence, he took Xia Pi, this caused both Liu Bei and Cao Cao to
attack him. although strong Lu Bu was dumb and did not listen to his
advisor, Chen Gong, so he was defeated at Xia Pi, losing everything he had to
Cao Cao and Liu Bei, including his life.
-------------------------------------------------
4-Why Should I use Lu Bu?
-------------------------------------------------
Lu Bu is a pure monster in just about every way. Lu Bu is capable
of reaching the attack and defence cap for characters. He's got good
speed. He's one of the best(if not the best) crowd controllers in
the game. His musou could use a little work, but his true musou is great.
Simplely put, if you want to mow through just about anything, Lu Bu's your
man.
-------------------------------------------------
5-Unlocking
-------------------------------------------------
Beat a musou mode with 1 character from each of the three kingdoms,
and one of the characters had to have faced him in there musou mode.
edit* you only need to beat the game with 1 from each kingdom, you
don't have to fight Lu Bu.
-------------------------------------------------
6-Move Set
-------------------------------------------------
Keys: S = Square button, T = Triangle button, C = Circle button
S- A slight downward slash to the left
SS- A slight downward slash to the right
SSS- A straight downward slash
SSSS- A slash to the right

SSSSSSSSS- Lu Bu charges forward a bit while doing a hard slash
to the right.
T- Lu Bu does a upward slash to the left, then charges forward
and does a slash to the right. He finshes by stomping his foot
into the ground causing a shockwave to hit anything around him.
This move has a natural fire effect to it that will cause the enemies
to burn and loose health until they hit the floor.
ST- Lu Bu uses the hlit of his weapon to knock enemies in front
of him into the air.
SST(T)- Lu Bu does a series of 5 slashes to the left, followed by

right to left.
Mounted Musou-Lu Bu does a series of downward slashes going
right to left.
Musou Attack- Lu Bu startes spinning around doing a series of
downward slashes to the right. He finshes by smashing his weapon
into the ground causing a shockwave to hit anything around him.
Ture Musou attack- Pretty much the same as his Musou attack,
only this time at the end Lu Bu smashes the hlit of his weapon
instead of the blade, and afterwards Lu Bu does a slash to the
left that also sends a shockwave to hit anything around him.
It should be noted that from Alternate S6-S9 you need to have a
weapon at least level 3 that's Evo-capable (aka the little blue
dot near the weapons name) As well as a full musou bar to use.
All 4th level weapons are Evo-capable.

Requirements for Obtaining Lu Bu's 4th
Stage- Battle of Chang Mountain (battle of Chang Shan)
Requirement- Kill 1000 enemy troops
Strategy- Snice this is just a kill mission (so to say)
there's not really that much strategy needed. The best
advice I can give you, is try not to kill any gate guards,
generals or sub generals, or take any forts. You want as
many troops on the field as possable. Really other then
this, all I can say is, just keep killing, getting 1000
really isn't to hard.
Once you get the 1000 the Precious Item report should appear
in the enemy fort. Pick it up and finshes the stage.
A saddle is not needed for this. Make sure your playing on hard mode
Alternate Strategy added by Geist Schattenfaust
A really easy way to get the 4th weapon is to fail the mission
you're immediately given by disobeying orders. To do this, run
to the main south gate and you will get the message, "Yuan Shao is
suspicious of Lu Bu!" This will cause the entire army on your
side to sit inside their camp on the south side until you've beaten
Liu Bei, essentially allowing you to clear the mission on your own.
I sat by the Checkpoint in the NW corner and killed up to 900 before
moving on. I overdid it by a ton as well, I ended the stage with 1553
kills with 15 minutes left.
--------------------------------------------------
8-Musou Mode
--------------------------------------------------
Lu Bu has 4 stages in his musou mode, The 4 stages are
1-Battle of Si Shui
2-Battle of Hu Lao Gate
3-Battle of Chang Mountain (battle of Chang Shan)
4-Battle of Xia Pi
As soon as I get the US release of this game and can better read
what's going on in the battles, I'll update with some stage strategies
--------------------------------------------------
9-Lu Bu's models
--------------------------------------------------
Model 1- this model comes with Lu Bu. Lu Bu wears silver armor
with some purple outlining. He has a red and gold piece of cloth
acrosses his chest, and a red piece of cloth hanging from his legs.
He has a gold , dark grey pants and brown shoes. He also has
the best head piece in the game, a little gold crown with two huge
antennas coming from them.
Model 2- Lu Bu unlocks this model when he get's about 6000 points.
This model is just his first model with different colors. His sliver
armors get's a little brighter, and the purple outlining becomes a
much darker purple. The red and gold piece of cloth hanging from his
chest in now a kind of tan/white color. The red piece of cloth hanging
from his legs is now a muddy brown. His pants are now more of a light
grey, with grey and black shoes. His waist wrap is now purple and white.
Model 3- Lu Bu unlocks this model when he get about 20000 points.
This just Lu Bu's DW4 model. He loses all the clothes hanging from
him and get a much more armored look. In this model he's wearing gold
armor with red and purple outlining. He also wears a tan waist wrap with
some purple outlining. He wears black pants and black and gold shoes.
He has the same head piece has his first two models.
Model 4- Lu Bu unlocks this model when he gains about 20000 points
along with his model 3. This is Lu Bu's alternate DW4 model. His
gold armor is now a sliver color, with gold outlining. His waist wrap
is now purple with some red outlining. He wears white pants, and sliver
shoes, with a little detail. His head piece crown gets a little larger
and turns sliver with some purple feathers coming out of it.

10-Q&A
--------------------------------------------------
Q: The requirement for obtaining Lu Bu's 4th lvl weapon isn't working?
A: Make sure your playing on hard mode, other then that if you've got the
1000 kills you should have got the weapon. Check you history to make sure
you didn't miss the Precious Item report.
Q: Why does Lu Bu only have 4 stages in his musou mode?
A: All other characters besides Zuo Ci, and Zhang Jiao (I think) has only
4 stages.
Q: Do you have to have played Lu Bu's Musou mode and got his 2nd and 3rd
weapon before you get his 4th?
A: No, I have got many 4th weapons the first time I played the character.
Q: How do I unlock the Red Hair Saddle?
A: EChang wrote an awesome item FAQ and gave a pretty detailed strategy on
how to obtain it. Check there.
Q: What's the best stage to get high level items?
A: I've been able to get 15-20 level items on any 4-5 star stage on hard mode
or Shura/Expert Mode. The higer the diffuculty the better chance for a high
level item. Also using a good Seven star sash (luck+) and a character with a
high luck+ on his weapon ups the chances for a good item.
Q: What will you except for your FAQ? And how will I know what I e-mailed you
will get added?
A: E-mail me anything, you'll know weather or not I'm going to add it if you get
an e-mail back. If you don't get an e-mail back, I either didn't what to add it
or am already working on it myself.

Updated: 6-28-05: I've been super busy in RL lately.
So if you've sent me a e-mail and got a very late reply
this is why. I'm sorry about this >_< but sometimes RL
calls. Anyway, to solve this problem I'm gonna try and
update the Q&A as much as I can, so you can (hopefully)
get your answers there.
Thanks for reading.
