You go through different gates of shenron's memory. In this mode you can fight different gates like saiyan saga, frieza saga, and what if modes like "What if Frieza ruled the world." ------------------------------- 2.2 ~ Ultimate Battle Mode ------------------------------- This is a mode where you pick one character and you fight 100 people (some characters will repeat). You will start at rank 100 and work your way up until you reach rank 1. You will earn points for things you do in the battle then earn potaras at the end. ------------------------------- 2.3 ~ Dueling ------------------------------- Here is a mode where you can play as the characters you unlocked and fight people with them. You can fight your friends in this mode. You can also watch the computer fight itself in this mode. If you have Budokai 3 you can take the passwords and put them in duel mode. ------------------------------- 2.4 ~ World Tournamet ------------------------------- The world tournament is a place where you fight the computer. If you hit the ground on the outside of the tournament you will automatically lose. There are 4 different types and you get them by beating the previous one. Novice(3 matches) Adept(4 matches) Advanced(5 matches) Cell Games(5 matches): no ringouts, and perfect cell is the 5th fighter. ------------------------------- 2.5 ~ Practice ------------------------------- There are actually 2 parts of practice modes. One part is Training where Piccolo shows you how to do basic attacks, combat, Blast moves, ect. The other mode is a real practice mode where you pick a character you both have infinite health + ki and you can use all of your moves easily here. ------------------------------- 2.6 ~ Evolution Z ------------------------------- This is a mode where you can see all of your Z-Capsules that you earned throughout the game. You can fuse Z Items together so they don't take up as much space and fuse purple potaras to get new characters. The Z capsules can do many things like Health, Speed, Ki, Ultimates, and many other things. You can listen to Old Kai if you still don't understand what I mean. ------------------------------- 2.7 ~ Options ------------------------------- Here are the different things you can change: Game Options: The difficulty of the Computer and Duel Time. Save/Load: Exactly what it says it is. Controller: If the controls are too hard you can change them here. ------------------------------- This is probably the part of the FAQ that you are most interested in. I suggest starting the Saiyan Saga because the frieza saga will be difficult if you do it first. You should read the controls to understand how to do most of the fighting techniques. The fights go like this. YOU vs. OPPONENT ------------------------------- 4.1 ~ Saiyan Saga ------------------------------- ------------------------------- Area 1: Battle 1: Goku vs. Raditz This is most likely your first fight in Z gate mode. Do not try to kill raditz. You probably will be too confused too figure out how if you still don't understand go to tutorials or re-look at the control section. Start the match by DDing(Dragon Dashing) away. Charge up your ki and use a kamehameha. Keep attacking him and running away until time runs out. ------------------------------- Area 2 Battle 1: Piccolo vs. Raditz This match if difficult if you don't know how to play. Dash away and charge up your ki then do a destructive wave. Go up to raditz and throw him. Charge your ki then use Destructive wave. Keep doing that until he is in the low yellows. Then use your SBC if he is still alive do another one. ------------------------------- Area 3 Battles 1 Piccolo vs. Oozaru This Battle is very difficult to many people. It is your first Oozaru fight, which may be difficult. Start the battle by DDing away. Charge up your ki then use a special beam cannon. Charge up your ki until you reach "MAX POWER" then use your ultimate, Hellzone Grenade. Then do a special beam cannon. Keep doing that until you win. Battles 2: Kid Gohan vs. Picolo All you have to do for this fight is survive for a minute. Charge up your ki then use your Blast 3 move. DD away, then charge your ki and do your blast 3 move then just avoid piccolo until time runs out. Battles 3,4,5,6: Yamcha Tien Chiaotzu Krillin vs. Krillen Chaiotzu Tien Yamcha These Battles are very easy I suggest blowing up Kamis tower and then collect the dragon balls so you will have 4 dbs. Just fly away then use your blast 1 move. Fly away use your blast 1 again keep fighting them then once they are in the low yellows then use your ultimate(be careful as Chiaotzu). ------------------------------- Area 4 Battles 1,2,3 Tien Chiaotzu Krillin vs. Saibaman Hints: Defeat BattleThe battles are not difficult just be careful since saibaman teleports a lot. Keep using your blast 4 move on them and watch out for their rush attack. Use your ultimate and they should be dead. ------------------------------- Area 5 Battles 1,2,3,4 Krillen Chiaotzu Tien Kid Gohan vs. Napppa In these battles you have to defeat Nappa. They are easy just start by using your blast 3 move. Dash away then charge your ki and use your blast 4 move. Keep doing that and attacking him and you will be fine. For Tien when he is in the low yellows use your Ki Blast Cannon(L2 + ^ + Triangle). If he survives use it again. For Chiaotzu charge up your ki then keep attacking until he is in the low yellows. NOW use your ultimate and you should both be on the floor but don't worry your not knocked out :). ------------------------------- Area 6 Battle 1 Goku vs. Nappa Here you have to defeat Nappa with Kaio Ken Attack. Start by using your kamehameha. Go up and do a punch combo. Throw Nappa then charge up your ki, and then use a kamehameha. Keep doing that until he is in the low yellows. Now you should have two balls use your kaioken then use your kaioken attack. If he is still alive do it again! ------------------------------- Area 7 Battle 1 Goku vs. Vegeta(Scouter) Just defeat Vegeta no special moves are anything. Start by using your kamehameha. Charge up then use your kamehameha. DD away then charge your ki until you reach "MAX POWER". Now go close to Vegeta and use your Spirit Bomb. He should be dead if not use your kamehameha. ------------------------------- Area 8 Battle 1 Goku vs. Oozaru Vegeta This battle is very difficult to most people there are many different ways to survive this and I will give 3. 1.(Cheap Strategy) Go up to Vegeta then use Square + Square + Square + Square + X. Keep doing that until he is Koed. 2.(Effective but good) Start the battle by using your kamehameha. DD away then use your kamehameha. Fly up then use your kamehameha. Keep doing that until he is defeated. 3.(good but long strategy) Start the battle by using kamehameha. Dash away then use your kamehameha. Dash away then charge up your ki and use your kamehameha. You should have two balls now. Use your solar flare while Vegeta is looking at you. DD FAR away and he wont bother you. ------------------------------- Area 9 Battle 1 Oozaru vs. Oozaru Vegeta Don't DD as Oozaru you'll just go really slow and Vegeta will attack you and you will lose. Use your Giant Rock Throw then fly away. Use your Super Explosive Wave on Vegeta. DD Away then charge up your ki and do a Giant Rock Throw. Repeat that until he is KOed. ------------------------------- Area 10 Battle 1 Oozaru vs. Vegeta(Scouter) This match is much eaier than the last one. Just be careful Vegeta is hard to hit, but you have the "Brick Wall Effect". Follow the same guide as above ------------------------------- 4.2 ~ Frieza Saga ------------------------------- ------------------------------- Area 1 Battles 1,2,3 Krillin Kid Gohan Vegeta vs. Dodoria For these battles you just have to defeat Dodoria. Watch out for Dodoria's Super Mouth Blast. Keep using your blast 2 and pulling off combos on Dodoria. ------------------------------- Area 2 Battle 4 Vegeta vs. Zarbon This battle can be difficult at first. Start by using your Galick Gun. Dash toward Zarbon and use your galick gun. DD away, charge your ki then use your Ultimate. ------------------------------- Area 3 Battle 5 Vegeta vs. Zarbon(Monster Form) This is slightly more difficult than the last battle just watch out for his Power Rush and follow the same strategy as before. ------------------------------- Area 4 Battles 6 and 7 Kid Gohan Krillen vs. Guldo For these battles dash away from Guldo charge your ki then use your blast 1 move. Go toward him and do some punch combos. Now reapeat the whole thing until his health is in the low yellows. Now use your ultimate. ------------------------------- Area 5 Battle 8 Chiaotzu vs. Guldo Follow the same strategy as before. ------------------------------- Area 6 Battles 9 and 10 Vegeta Gohan vs. Reacoome Start by using your blast 3 move. Dash away behind the rock and charge if reacoome throws ki blasts deflect them. Run away and use your explosive wave if he comes near you. Throw him and hide. Keep doing this until time runs out. ------------------------------- Area 7 Battle 11 Goku vs. Reacoome Remember the Nappa fight well this is very similar. Im just gonna copy that. Here you have to defeat Reacoome with Kaio Ken Attack. Start by using your kamehameha. Go up and do a punch combo. Throw Reacoome then charge up your ki, and then use a kamehameha. Keep doing that until he is in the low yellows. Now you should have two balls use your kaioken then use your kaioken attack. If he is still alive do it again! ------------------------------- Area 8 Battle 12 Goku vs. Burter Just like the Nappa and Reacoome fight. Follow the same strategy as above. ------------------------------- Area 9 Battle 13 Goku vs. Ginyu Start by using your blast 3 move. Knock him into the ocean then throw him. Use your kamehameha and if 2 balls are filled up use kaioken. Now use your kaioken attack. Finish him off with a kamehameha. ------------------------------- Area 10 Battle 14 Vegeta vs. Jeice Start by using your blast 3 move. Dash away behind the rock and charge if Jeice throws ki blasts deflect them. Run away and use your explosive wave if he comes near you. Throw him and do a punch combo. Keep doing this until you win. ------------------------------- Area 11 Battles 15,16,17 Vegeta Krillin Kid Gohan vs. Goku Start with your blast 3 move. Knock him into the ocean and throw him.
